This bar has good music, hence its popularity but it gets so ridiculously full it’s horrible after 12/1. Quite a few times, sometimes multiple occasions on one night, I’ve been grabbed by guys trying to hit on me.. Not sure if it’s due to the busyness or the crowd it attracts but the guys are a bit loose in there.

Had a really fun night here. Good atmosphere with a nice crowd and good music. Cocktails were nice and a cool range of beers too. I liked the shindigger session! We were next door and really didn’t rate it, glad we came here. The staff were amazing. Toilets also very cool with all the tags.

I came here last night with my cousin and my cousin’s girlfriend/fiancé. A man hit on my cousin and kept repeatedly asking for her name when she politely said she wasn’t interested and that she has a girlfriend. He wouldn’t take no for an answer in front of my cousin’s girlfriend and the bouncers. My cousin’s girlfriend told him leave her alone and he wouldn’t so she tapped his hat slightly and straight away proceeded to slap her bad very very hard to the point it left a big red hand print mark on her back . The bouncers saw the WHOLE THING !!! And still kick us out because my friend tapped his hat and reacted to being in pain after being slapped SO HARD ! They let him stay in the club AFTER HITTING A WOMAN while we got kicked out and barred . The bouncers here clearly have NO respect for women at all !! And quite frankly don’t care if a woman would get SLAPPED in their own club .

My girlfriend got slapped by a man in here and we were the ones that got kicked out. As we was walking up to the smoking area, someone tried to hit on me and I politely declined but he wouldn’t take no for an answer. As any partner would, my girlfriend told him to leave me alone as we were together. He still wouldn’t take no for an answer and was harassing me so my girlfriend tapped the underneath of his hat, did not even touch him AT ALL, and as she turned around to walk off he slapped her SO hard across the back. The bouncer was stood right there the whole time. Instead of kicking this man out that he just saw slap my girlfriend, she was told she was in the wrong for not walking away and that it “was the consequences of her own actions”. I showed him the red marks but still no action was taken. I find it absolutely disgusting that assault from a man to a woman that a bouncer witnessed can take place in here and nothing happens to him, instead because we got angry, we got kicked out. Stay away from here if you’re gay, a woman, don’t want to be assaulted by a man, and don’t want to be harrassed. Vile vile place

*LONG WINDED BUT IMPORTANT PLEASE READ* I don’t even know where to begin. Last night, my partner who I’m engaged to (a woman), her cousin (a female) and myself (also a female) went to terrace. We have been a few times before and always enjoyed the night, last night was completely different. A very large man was stood speaking with the bouncers and as we walked past he was trying to flirt with my partner who felt very uncomfortable by it, I asked him politely if he could stop as it’s my partner and he didn’t listen. I asked him 3 more times nicely and he looked at me and told me “he doesn’t care he’ll do what he wants”, to which (after a couple of vodka lemonades) I responded my TAPPING the underneath of his baseball cap and began walking away (as I wanted the conversation to be done). As I was walking up the stairs away from this man who was being rude, aggressive and not taking no for an answer he smacks me on the back so hard you could hear it echo up the stairs. I was in bits and the bouncer told me it was my own fault, I should have just allowed him to flirt with my very uncomfortable partner. Next thing you know we’re all kicked out for saying we wanted something done about it. Being told “it’s the consequence of your own actions” when I didn’t lay a finger on this man - next thing you know the bouncers screaming that I hit him (going to ask for cctv of this), that I don’t know who I’m messing with, and that it’s my own fault I got hit by a man. It was dreadful, the bouncer told me to “stop my crying” because of how hard I was hit. We’ve all never experienced anything quite so awful. If it were a man in my position - he wouldn’t have had to ask 3 times, he’d have asked once and he would have likely backed off, and if he didn’t, then it would have been fair for him to hit him, let alone tap the underneath of his baseball cap. Please, girls, for your own safety, do not go to terrace.

Whenever it's a sunny day in Manchester we head to this excellent bar and always have a great time there. It isn't the easiest to find as the signage isn't too clear but it is definitely worth seeking out. Actually, it is very central on Thomas Street And does get busy for good reason. Firstly, they have a fabulous range of beers and the prices are quite sensible. It's worth noting they don't take cash. Where this place really wins though is as the name suggest its terraces. There are several ground floor and upper levels that are sun traps and Have a really nice atmosphere. There's also a bar up on the roof terrace which is useful and the service is always fast and friendly.

Nice place and great staff. Prices are very reasonable for town. The terrace is nice and spacey even though a little hard to find (walk all the way to the back of the bar, 2nd staircase on the left) 😬 there is also a bar on the terrace so you don't need to come down to order your drinks, big plus I think. We didn't order food, but it did look good. 😃 Defiantly visit again and recommend place.

Went here after the England Euro Final on a Sunday and the bouncer said to me and my brother that we couldn’t get in. Bear in mind there was no one after me and my brother so to us it seemed odd that it stopped just before us. He didn’t give us a reason either, so I prodded for one and still didn’t receive one. Our friends were in the bar already and so just wanted to join them, we weren’t being drunk or disorderly we were just two black peoples at the end of a relatively short queue. Anyway this particular black bouncer with short dreadlocks did not want to let us in or give us a reason. So I came out the queue but was visibly annoyed with him! He then proceeded to call me UGLY and to “stop acting like a man”. After this altercation he and the other bouncers let in about 5 other white people. The bouncer that didn’t let us in was black himself so couldn’t be racial but I just wonder why he stopped me and my brother from getting in and then let people in after us!? Then became abusive by coming after my appearance. Anyway avoid this place as bouncers need an ego boost and so will randomly discriminate.

Oh boy, where do I even begin with The Terrace? If you've ever wondered what it feels like to be transported back to a time when ignorance was considered a virtue, look no further. This place is like stepping into a bad history lesson mixed with a terrible nightclub experience. First off, the bouncers at the door must have degrees in micro-aggressions. It was like they were auditioning for the role of "villain in a civil rights documentary." The only thing they bounced was my faith in humanity. The only "terrace" they should be named after is the one they need to throw their entire operation off of. Inside, it got worse. Imagine a dance floor where the only thing colder than the stares is the DJ’s playlist. Honestly, I think they had a policy where the DJ stops the music every time someone of a different ethnicity tries to dance. At one point, I think I heard someone request a song and the DJ responded with, "Sorry, we don't take requests from your kind." The drinks? Oh, let's talk about those. I ordered a cocktail and I'm pretty sure it was just recycled sweat from their racist clientele. The bartender served it with a smirk that said, "I spit in this, and you probably deserved it." And don't even get me started on the decor. Who knew that confederate flags and tiki torches were making a comeback in the interior design world? It's like Joanna Gaines met with a history denier and decided to go wild. In short, The Terrace is the perfect place if you're looking to experience the charm of an old-timey racist rally, but with worse music and overpriced drinks. If you're someone who enjoys being disgusted by humanity's worst, then by all means, give it a visit. As for me, I'll be busy washing the stench of bigotry out of my clothes and soul for the next week.

If you want somewhere to enjoy the Sun while relaxing and happy having a couple of beers this could be a good option. It sits unobtrusively in the northern quarter but is definitely worth finding as it has a lot to offer. As name suggests it has a couple of really nice terraces that catch the afternoon son And create a terrific atmosphere. You can sit out at the back on the street but we prefer the roof terrace which is full of nooks and crannies and the gentle hum of of conversation. The top tip is that there is a bar up here as well so don't worry if it is busy downstairs so you can get served quickly on the terrace itself. They do a great range of drinks at city centre prices and the service is fast and friendly. They even let you try the beer first which is a big.

Came in for a cocktail, bartender only did a quick wet shake of a pisco sour. It was disappointingly textured. As he was doing so another girl asked what he was making then rolled her eyes at me and scoffed. I get it. I’ve worked in a craft cocktail bar for four years, you have your own opinions about what people are ordering, but at least turn your back to the customer if you want to make a face. Paid and then went to sit outside and was stopped as they don’t have a license for glassware outside but nobody asked me on the bar so had to come back in to dump the drinks into plastic. It’s completely fine that it’s plastic outside but I would have liked to have known. :)

This place is supposed to have a 5 star rating because their service was good and the DJ is awesome. A good mix of music encompassing afrobeats, R and B, techno, dance hall, even Spanish music. Everyone here is in high spirits and has good vibes. The cocktail mix was splendid, had several glasses of espresso martini because of how good they mix it. Nevertheless, they got a 3 star because one of the bar staff working on the 5th of April 2024 made me feel so unsafe and threatened me. It was my first time at this place, and it was so big with lots of compartmentalized spaces both upstairs and downstairs. I mistakenly went to the side door of the bar trying to find my way before I looked up and saw staff only . Before I could do a turn, he came behind me screaming that I should get out , he didn't even wait for me to explain that I was lost and point me to where I could get a drink. People around noticed and helped out. He still came to the bar, staring sternly at me using harsh words. When I was done at the club, I saw him walking out with me and following me. At that point I was so worried and had to stop to let him walk past me the crossing to the other side of the road. If this place has a CCTV inside and mostly outside, they can go back to this date and that staff would be seen following me out .

I was disappointed by the strict door policy. I am 31 and don’t tend to carry ID because it is not generally a requirement for entry across the city of Manchester. But this place is different. Terrace N Q rooftop bar Manchester deliberately and repeatedly intimidate, harass, discriminate against and are constantly abusive, aggressive and patronising to a blind customer on the grounds of her simply being blind: absolutely shocking and disgraceful repeated discrimination and disability hate crime from five members of staff including Charlie the manager and Andy the owner at Terrace N Q nightclub and restaurant in Manchester city centre Hi everyone, 🙂 I'm Elina, and I am a disability rights advocate and campaigner. Recently, I was shocked and appalled when Laura, a completely blind friend of mine told me how she had gone to Terrace N Q restaurant and nightclub, and as soon as she arrived at the entrance, initially three members of staff repeatedly, intimidatingly, aggressively and in a very hostile, patronising degrading and belittling manor began harassing her and discriminating against her at the door and refusing her entry on the grounds of her being blind. These members of staff didn’t bother to ascertain anything about her, they didn’t even bother to ask for ID, they wouldn’t even allow her to talk because they repeatedly interrupted her by aggressively, intimidatingly and repeatedly raising their voices over her whenever she tried to even talk, they just continually and aggressively harassed her and repeatedly refused to allow her in on the grounds of her being blind. They then started whispering about her and talking about her in a patronising, hostile, degrading, belittling, derogatory, intimidating, and unprofessional manor. Understandably, Laura was shocked, appalled and very distressed by this, so she was forced to leave. In anger and frustration, she then decided to return to Terrace N Q once again, in the hopes of actually being shown some respect and decency, and as soon as she came back, she repeatedly received exactly the same aggression, intimidation, discrimination, harassment and abuse, and she was again repeatedly and firmly refused entry on the grounds of her being blind. As if the discrimination and disability hate crime wasn't enough, both Laura and I were very shocked and appalled by the despicably unprofessional, unlawful and immoral approach of Charlie the manager and Andy the owner of Terrace N Q, because despite both Laura and I repeatedly explaining and telling them what happened very clearly, they very unprofessionally and repeatedly lied, and repeatedly dismissed and invalidated Laura by pretending that the discrimination, harassment and abuse didn’t happen; furthermore, they repeatedly tried to justify the abuse and discrimination to Laura. Naturally, Laura felt very dismissed, unheard and invalidated by this further illegal and immoral deliberate and repeated discrimination and abuse from the manager Charlie and the owner Andy.

Naturally, Laura felt very dismissed, unheard and invalidated by this further illegal and immoral deliberate and repeated discrimination and abuse from the manager Charlie and the owner Andy. As you probably already know, the Equality Act (2010) states that in any setting or workplace, members of staff have a legal duty to treat everyone equally, including people with protected characteristics like a disability. The Health and Safety and Work Act (1974) means that all members of staff at work have a duty to ensure their customers’ physical and emotional well-being and safety. The care act (2014) means that all members of staff have a duty of care towards the physical and emotional well-being of vulnerable people and customers. This means that the three members of staff, as well as the manager and the owner of Terrace N Q have all acted illegally and have broken three important laws by deliberately discriminating against, harassing and being abusive towards a blind customer, and by deliberately refusing to take responsibility and repeatedly justifying discrimination and abuse towards disabled customers, the owner and manager have neglected and failed in their clear duty of care towards Laura and towards disabled customers, placing their own jobs at risk. Morally, what they’ve done is disgusting, appalling and completely unacceptable, because of the level of distress and frustration it’s caused Laura. Luckily, Laura and I have both kept written evidence in the form of email communications, which clearly shows the manager’s repeated and deliberate discrimination, hostility, intimidation, dismissiveness, justification of abuse and unprofessionalism towards Laura. Terrace NQ also have CCTV footage evidencing the abuse repeated discrimination, abuse and aggression that Laura suffered from this establishment. Furthermore, the repeated instances of abuse, aggression, discrimination, and disability hate crime were witnessed by multiple customers. Laura has told me that in all other nightclubs, restaurants, and establishments she has been to, staff have treated her normally and with basic politeness. In my experience as a disability rights advocate, if other venues have been discriminatory to other individuals with disabilities, the managers and owners are very apologetic and professional, and give a written apology as well as a voucher as a small gesture of good will. That’s why I was shocked and appalled by the deliberate dismissiveness, discrimination and shockingly unprofessional attitude of the manager Charlie and owner Andy, who largely contributed towards Laura’s distress. The strangely repetitive and adamant refusal of the members of staff combined with the shockingly unprofessional attitude of the manager and owner is very odd, and does also make Laura and me wonder if Terrace N Q are trying to hide or cover up something else illegal, dangerous or going against health and safety that was happening on the premises, and it makes us seriously question whether the premises itself is even legal. Laura voiced these concerns at the time, but the abusive and discriminatory members of staff just completely ignored her. Laura and I have told a lot of people about this, and they have all been shocked and appalled and said how disgusting the disability discrimination, abuse and hate crime was, and they were even more appalled by the owner and manager’s completely unprofessional and illegal approach. I know I certainly won’t be visiting Terrace N Q, particularly as I already know that at least five members of staff have been aggressive, abusive, hostile, dismissive, discriminatory and so unprofessional. Partly I won’t be going there because I don’t want to support abuse and discrimination of disabled customers, and partly because if I’m out with friends having a good chilled time, I don’t want to be treated with intimidation, aggression, discrimination and hostility; I want to go somewhere and be treated normally, in a warm, welcoming and ordinary way, which is what every person deserves. Thanks for reading, and please share with as many people as possible so that other people don’t have to go through what Laura did.

It was a sunny afternoon in the northern Quarter, so there was no doubt we were going to visit this place. We’ve been several times before and don’t be put off by the unassuming entrance. Once you go inside, you are greeted by friendly staff serving a great range of drinks at decent prices. The people I was with had never been before, and we’re amazed just how many different terraces and how big the outdoor space is from was once was presumably a terraced house. It was very comfortable with a mix of sun and shade as required and was really quite busy to say it was early in the afternoon. There is a buzzing atmosphere, but I really like this one, and I’m sure the people I went with will be going back on their own next time.

Racist establishment! Went in tonight and they only letting black people in ! They don’t care if you have ID they just care about the colour of your skin! Absolutely disgraceful. Wanted to come in but was judged based our race. As someone of colour I would expected more and some representation but the guy and girls on the door was more concerned about letting their “mates “ in!

The small guy on the door was really rude. We were stood on the wrong side of the queue and moved as soon as he flicked his hand at us and said queue is that side. He then asked for ID which I provided but there are no signs says admittance only if you have ID and I've never had to provide any there before. We left and went to Cottonopolis as staff are much more professional there.

Came in for a drink, was kicked out as I was rude to the bar staff despite not ordering a single drink in the bar since I had been in. Manager said this despite the bouncer Enderick stating I was okay and he would have allowed me to stay in . The manager said I was too drunk and was nasty to staff but wouldn’t come and speak to me about this as it obviously wasn’t true. I have been a bar manager and I know you have time to speak to people but he was “too busy” to speak to me about this as he knew he didn’t have no evidence to back it up and the bouncers were backing me. Lovely place, lovely bar staff, horrible management who won’t face up with issues that they have caused by spreading incorrect lies. I asked the manager to come forward to the front of the bar with the staff I had been rude to but obviously he was too “busy”. Joke of a place with shocking supervision

Inattentive staff (very late service at empty bar/avoiding eye contact), weird lighting, and not my choice of clientele. This place doesn’t know whether it wants to be a cocktail bar or a club.

Not a favourite destination for me or Martin. Been a few times and it can get really busy. They sell real ale so Martin Meerkat had a pint of Vocation Bread and Butter. A good pint. The missus was not impressed with her pricey wine. Sadly another card only establishment so loses a* for that. Apparently there is a roof terrace but I have never been. The bar has the urban industrial bare brick look.

Been here quite regularly on nights out. It’s decent but can get way too busy at times and it’s uncomfortable, you can barely move and the queues are too long. Music seems to have gone downhill recently too, used to be a lot better. Cocktails are nice and staff are pretty friendly too, never had an issue with the bouncers here which is good for Manchester!

0 if I could give it probably won’t bother again in there. was with friends, enjoying the evening bartender served all of them besides me (stood at an empty bar) all of a sudden more people come over still ignoring me and served everyone else which of course annoyed me and I called him out on it. Decided I’d get better service downstairs after and he was stood telling the staff downstairs not to serve me. Ruined the entire evening. Shocking service wouldn’t even mind but I was stone cold sober.

The few and inexperienced beer staff downstairs are unable to keep up with serving the customers and this leads to large anxious crowds at that tiny bar. This leads to friction, pushing and shoving - and add in their regular awkward trouble-making customers to the mix and it's not really a great vibe. The music is ok yeah. Later in the evening it becomes somewhat tacky and pretty much only for singles. Conclusion: not a great or comfortable vibe, takes ages for drinks and gets frequented by aggressive and awkward single men.

Sunday beef roast. Cheap presliced and meagre. Vegetables nice but meagre. Everything was slightly warm and over cooked. Won't go again. I was invited back so that The Woodstock could put right the above comments in my review. They certainly redeemed themselves today. Delicious pink, juicy tender roast beef, accompanied by freshly roasted and steamed fresh vegetables. Thank you Woodstock. Ros Moss
