Very mixed: Cocktails were well made (excuse that pun!). Welcome was very nice, and one of our waitresses was excellent - I'm sorry I didn't get her name. The other wait staff were not great. The food was fine but our main course - pasta with crab - was a starter size, and for £24. Not good. We were quite hungry on departure. Desserts were good. We won't return, as there are too many very good Italian/Sicilian restaurants around London charging the same prices for so much more.

My friend and I had a lovely lunch here today and I don’t understand the bad reviews. The staff were great and the food was delicious! The restaurant was spacious and had a nice welcoming feeling with fab views.

Eataly's brand is based on "Eataly’s main goal is to demonstrate that high-quality products can be made available to everyone: easy to find and at affordable prices". Enter Eataly London Liverpool street, with its baffling Terra restsurant. Extremely overpriced dishes of dubious quality: old, stale, reheated food; thick, tasteless pasta ravioli flooded with butter to cover their cardoboard quality; old, stale fries with no flavour; old, gummy bread from the day before. And of course, Terra's masterpiece: Fritto Misto. An abomination 50% battered vegetable leftovers and 45% battered salmon, with exactly ONE prawn, two squid rings and little else. This crap is what they serve at Zizzi or Prezzo. This trash is an insult to Italy, an offense to Eataly and pure abuse for those customers who ventured into Eataly London expecting to find Eataly's quality. An incredible disappointment, and a violation of Italy's public image. Avoid at all costs.

Lovely spot inside a beautiful Italian shop where you can taste the food and drinks of Italy. Terra is a nice bar for drinks but the food is overpriced and average quality. If you want steak there are dozens of better places to eat with better quality meat.

Very bad customer service. Especially Marco who is suppose to be the manager. Waited 40 mins for mains and the restaurant wasn't busy, dishes from main menu unavailable. Would not recommend!!

Awful. Rip off. Dont order the spatchcock chicken, its absolutely tiny. So over priced and food was really basic. Staff indifferent and place feels run down. Never used to be like this. Save your money and go somewhere else.

Not sure what has happened to this restaurant but i have to say that this was an awful experience. We arrived to find a freezing cold restaurant ( heating was broken apparently) that was not mentioned when we booked on the phone or when we arrived. Ordered wine, didn't have the first bottle requested, tried another 2- didn't have those either. Strange when you think that Eataly boasts having 15,000 different bottles of wine. Staff were indifferent to the fact that this wasn't good enough. Will not be going again and would suggest that nobody else does either. Do not waste your money

I can't understand all the negative reviews for this place. I've just had a really lovely meal there tonight and, despite them being surprisingly busy for the first Friday after New Year, the service was lovely. We had bread and olives with great olive oil and balsamic vinegar for dipping, followed by ribs and pasta ragu with a side of grilled vegetables. Dessert was a deconstructed mille feuille with a great compote. The beer ( 1 pint) and wine ( 1 glass) was good, the flat white coffee lovely and we also ordered a lovely biscuit with the coffee. In addition we had a large bottle of sparkling water ( having also been given tap water on request). This came to approx £109 inclusive of the well deserved service charge which I thought was more than reasonable for a central London restaurant. The shop is fantastic too. Highly recommend.

Superb, friendly, helpful staff. Delicious wine, some lovely bread, a wonderful ravioli starter and a fantastic main meal of steak. Highly recommended.

I ordered the spatchcock chicken, expecting it would come with sides. It’s was a small plain grilled chicken with a tiny bowl of sauce on the side and half a lemon. Apparently flavouring the food is too much of an expectation so we do it ourselves. There was a very small bowl of lettuce leaves to accompany the chicken, which was served on top of some kind of high griddle board. I guess putting it on a plate would make it obvious it was just a small chicken with a tiny bowl of sauce and some lettuce. Think I paid £28 or £30 for this ‘main’ meal. Waiting staff were efficient and helpful - our waiter put a lot of effort into advising the right wine to go with the tiny chicken. The environment is nice, relaxed and not over fussy. Bar staff were rude when ordering pre drinks. Didn’t ask for an aperol but when I explained he may have misheard me it was somehow all my fault. Wouldn’t go again for the main reason that the prices were far too high for the food provided. Shame as it’s a perfect location if you have to get the train from Liverpool Street.

Although the restaurant is a lovely setting for dinner and the menu looks interesting, the food is severely disappointing. The best part of the meal was the bread we had to start! The beef skewer was over cooked, and honestly not that tasty. The roast potatoes tasted like the cheap freezer roast potatoes you buy, but looked great… And the dessert was far too rich to be enjoyable. A nice selection of alcohol free drinks but for the price the meal was I expect much nicer food! Was really looking forward to dining here and would honestly never come back!

The only good thing about this restaurant was the nice Hostesses. They promised a table in 30 minutes and came to get me in 25. But, once I got into the restaurant- that was another story. As far as the service that I received in the restaurant- let’s just say if there were 0 stars, I would have selected that. I noticed that this is the fifth 1 star review out of just 12 reviews! If the owner wants to follow up on my horrible experience at the restaurant, he is invited to write me on TA. You would think that receiving 5/12 reviews that are 1 star, the owner or management might want to seriously consider that these random reviews are “spot on” and try to fix the problems at the restaurant. At least, that is what I would want to do.

Meet my eldest son for dinner on a Tuesday evening @ 18.30. Impressive building & already busy. Welcome & service were fine. I went for the sea bream special, grilled fish with roasted pots & salad and my son had the mackerel with fennel salad, 2 homemade lemonades, bottle of still water( no option offered for tap) followed by a tea, espresso & 2 buiscuits. With service £97. Service & food were good but the price is pushing it for what we had.

Popped in for a bite to eat and the bar snacks (which are massive) were perfect. Delicious and a decent price given the portion. Service was good and overall just what we were after, though we only ate at the bar and not the main restaurant

I had really bad experience at this restaurant today. Took one of my clients here, pre booked the table. Here is the list of things that went wrong! 1. We were served bottled water instead of tap water which is free. Even before we say anything it was opened and served 2. Wanted to order a particular dish with roasted potatoes on the side. The waiter said we can have same dish to share between two people and it will cost £39 instead of £21 with two side dishes and we then don’t need potatoes as it will be too much. When the bill came it was £39 per person!! 3. Ordered Peroni was given a Nastro Azurro 4. Massive delays in serving mains, they did not serve for one and a half hour, when we said cancel the mains we have to go that’s when food came out of the kitchen. Some of us packed their food and left!! Staff was stressed and kitchen not able to handle the workload! We were told that they are very busy! 5. My friend’s chicken dish was not warm enough felt like it was sitting for a while idk 7. Pasta was okay, nothing too special or worth the money 6. Paid about £19 for service charges Will not recommend.

The waiter showed us the special of the day at £11.69 per 100gr. He didn’t tell us he would charge for over 1,300gr including a huge bone and a very tiny salad and potatoes in teacup size bowls to be shared between 3 persons. We ended up paying £153 for this mediocre dish. The bill was £250 for a very casual meal. Definitely not worth it and for sure will never go there again.

Great friends dinner .. good attention to detail and customer services . Nice food even overpriced but it is the city . Well catered for the need of customer.

We had some drinks and snacks in Terra lounge before having lunch in the restaurant. They were good and the service from the blonde Asian waitress was excellent (even with the place being quite busy). She has been all the time smiling and attentive to anything we needed.

We are a family of four - children aged 15 & 6 and on Friday 30th Sept, around 20:30, as soon as we approached the reception (no one came to greet us so we found our own way) the most judgemental, arrogant member of staff didn’t smile, greet us with an hello, offer us a seat or show us a menu, just looked at my 6 yr old and said ‘I doubt there’s anything for her to eat’. Firstly, don’t point at my child like she’s a piece of dirt and secondly, don’t ever judge anyone, no matter their age. I asked to see a menu so I could be the judge and he said ‘I don’t think she’ll eat anything on there, we might have a plain pizza.’ By this point my patience had worn thin, so I put the menu down, told him what I thought and we left. I think you’ll find my daughter will eat all varieties of foods, we don’t just feed her pizza and she probably has a more varied palette than you, you ignorant disgrace.
