Best chippy about and amazing sizes

It was my first time visiting Tenby and I’m glad we opted to buy fish and chips here. We visited on Saturday 24th Feb 2024 around 5-6pm. What a great first experience, the young lady and boy were so friendly and professional and it didn’t take long to be served our food to takeaway. Food was delicious and a good sized portion. If you are nearby, then I would highly recommend.

Friendly staff, and fresh fish and chips cooked to order. Absolutely delicious! There's a kids menu with smaller portion sizes that are perfect for the little ones! Would definitely recommend!

There are 20 of us staying locally and we preordered. The customer service was brilliant and the food arrived on time, hot and delicious 😋. Would highly recommend

Fantastic it was, first time trying cod and such a good value for the price, chips were lush. Curry sauce was fantastic as well don’t miss it.

You are having a laugh. You want to charge me for using my debit card to buy food from you. No way. As a local who you rely on during the winter period I certainly will not be buying anything off you ever again.. I went a few doors down and brought food with my debit card without being charged.

Popped in here for take away after recommendation from friends who lives locally. Well our experience exceeded expectations with friendly customer service, sensible prices and the most delicious cod and chips. We'll definitely be returning when we are down in December.

Had fish and chips twice this week and both times were the best fish and chip experience we have had! We had a large Cod and regular chips! Absolutely gorgeous! The portion size would feed a family of four.. it was a great size! The staff were so friendly and had time to have a chat! Highly recommend this his Fish shop if Visiting tenby!

A toughy.. the fish was fresh and delicious and the Irish curry tasty but the chips were not great.. not greasy but mostly crunchy bits or black / green.. 100% would go back for the fish though and lovely staff..

Easy to find in Tenby, nice fish and chips, good portions £23 for two large cods and two medium sized chips.

Spontaneous midweek decision to drive to Tenby for fish and chips while spending a week at Bluestone resort, joined the back of the queue which was at the door when I arrived. Expecting a long wait but the lady behind the counter quickly processed the orders ahead of me. I requested large cod and chips but they hadn't got any large cod. So regular cod and chips it was. Seeing only a team of two serving /cooking I thought I'd expect either poor service or poor quality food. Happily I was very wrong. The service was perfect, efficient and all you could ask for from a busy chip shop. As for the food, chips were a good sized portion and cooked very well, the curry sauce was obviously not the mass produced tasteless rubbish you get from some chippies, very tasty indeed and guessing homemade. Highly recommend this chippy and will be coming back next time we come to visit.

Food experience was okay. One large portion of fish and chips was enough for a normal couple. Not the best but passed the test.

Shop is rather small and has no seatings for a comfortable wait. Therefore, only takeaway possible. The fish (regular cod) was very delicious but the chips were rather soggy after we came home - 15mins drive. I would recommend you to eat it earlier.

Shocking. Mushy chips that stuck together in a single lump, and a tiny piece of ‘medium’ cod - at least half the size of most chippies. The order was taken down incorrectly, but I should have checked the ticket. The chips in the random extra portion were so gritty, it was as if the potatoes hadn’t been washed properly. Such a disappointment, definitely not recommended

We are yet to find a nicer fish and chip shop than this one. Every visit we have is excellent and there is such a huge range of options which are always very reasonably priced. The staff were friendly and we were not kept waiting long at all. The food was absolutely beautiful and everything felt very very fresh!

Couldn't recommend this place enough for the friendliest staff and the tastiest food - we had fish and chips with Irish curry sauce, a battered sausage and chips and since we were Scots folk holidaying in Wales we also tried the rissolle, every single thing we ate was delicious and we could have chatted to the staff the whole night.

‘Sold out’ half an hour before closing time. Looked more like they didn’t want to put any more chips in the fryer… Not impressed.

Visited Tenby on our holidays. Excellent fish and chips which were cooked to order. The fish was beautifully white and the batter crispy and not greasy. The chips tasted great too. Maybe a little pricey but worth it as a treat!

Busy day yesterday (1st July 2023) & the food was fantastic. Only point to make was they had ran out of the regular cod by 2pm..the go to for most I’m sure.

Ordered a large chips and two medium cod's between two and it was delicious. Kept nice and hot for the 15 minute walk back to our campsite, the chips were nice but the fish was amazing. I'm fussy with fish and chip shop fish but it was the best I've had, I would thoroughly recommend.

I wanted fish and chips to eat on the esplanade overlooking the gorgeous Tenby beach and happened upon this takeaway. The cod was fresh, perfectly cooked and encased in the lightest and most crispy batter. Great chips and delicious curry sauce made this the most perfect lunch. Friendly service was the icing on the cake. Well worth a visit.

Called today and the fish and chips were beautiful , would also like to mention the lady who served my wife was so nice and even got a little treat for our little dog , thankyou so much for the excellent fish and chips and excellent service

we had chips from here and would def not recommend! the chips were small and bitty and looked nothing like the chips in the photo on fbook page with the fish! The chip shop was empty so we prob just had the leftover bitty chips. Very disappointed for the price paid and werent expecting such poor food. Dont waste your money.

This place was recommended so had high hopes for a nice meal. It was decidedly average at best. We went at lunch time ,so it wasn’t busy at all. However, it felt like they couldn’t get you out the door quickly enough. Chips were not great at all. Don’t know if we caught them on a bad day or not but whilst they were cooked, they were very pale in colour and rather flavourless. Needed more time in the fryer. The fish on the other hand was tasty. Not oily at all and the batter was very crispy. Prices were on a par with what you get nowadays. Wouldn’t go again.

Really impressed with the fish and chips we bought from the Tenby Fish & chips. Cooked fresh after you place the order. The fish was cod and was cooked perfectly, The chips again were cooked as we waited and they very good. The service was as you would expect it at any good business. When it Tenby it’s worth a visit.

Enjoyed our fish and chips from this smart looking take away. We requested two regular cod and a medium chips but unfortunately they only had large cod available so we ordered just one large cod and one medium chips and there was ample for two of us to share, in fact we didn’t finish all the chips. The fish was delicious, lovely crispy batter and chips also very good. Will return when we are back in Tenby.

Walked past this place earlier today. As I'm on holiday it's rude not to have fish and chips right! Possibly one of the best I have ever had! I went for a large fish and chips with curry sauce (controversial I know!) It cost £13 which in this day and age isn't horrendous especially when it's an independent business that still has to pay it's bills on time! Well, I got a mountain of chips, and the fish was bigger than my head! Skinned both sides as well which is rare, plus the curry sauce was actual curry sauce not the luminous green stuff! Would absolutely 100% recommend! Also if you are on a budget they have specials available every day.

Had the Tuesday deal. Battered sausage and chips with curry sauce. Came to £3.95 it was nothing short of a spiritual awakening. Best curry sauce I’ve had in my life. Sausage battered to perfection. 10/10

It was ok. It was warm, lots of chips...it just wasn't anything special and we felt uncomfortable but didn't know why.

This place was great! Ordered in advance for a large group. We were staying in Kiln Park and the food was still piping hot when we got back. Really tasty food too.

Amazing food as always, called in for fish and chips with friends and family bank holiday weekend and everyone absolutely loved the food, and also thanks to Bilco & all the staff really friendly and polite would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Tenby.

Best fish I've had in a while. Cooked fresh, then they stand it upright to drain , crispy and not too thick a batter and lovely white fish.

An essential food place to visit when in Tenby. Traditional fish and chips or choose from a wide selection of other tasty fried goodies. Some items cooked to order but food is always fresh and hot. Immaculately clean premises and staff are pleasant and efficient. We live locally so often make a visit in the summer to sit on the seafront with our chips.

Very good chips as always, but the portions have been reduced dramatically. Not even enough as a child's portion. Very dissappinting.

A lovely chippy, but service a little slow considering it was quiet. Chips OK but too much batter on the sausage meaning it was a little soggy in the inside.

Quite frankly 'The Best' Cod we've had in town and we're locals!! The freshest fish and lightest batter likend to tempura - absolutely FABULOUS!
