Off The Hook Bistro in Pembrokeshire

Had food from here last year and was disappointed. Greatly improved this year with the chips looking less anaemic!! Not the best but convenient if in broad haven.

We had hallumi and chips on the beach. Hallumi was good, chips were under cooked, anemic and soggy. Very disappointing for what I would call expensive chips. 😢

I've never been/eaten here before. We had the large fish and chips. Fish was really tasty, as we're the chips. However, the portion sizes were definitely not "Large" like stated. They were more like a small.. The cod (albeit tasty) was way overpriced for the portion size. Would I return? - probably not. You can pay a couple of ££ more for a fish and chips from the Ocean Bar in the restaurant and have a fish 3x the size with a lot of more chips.

Usually have take away from here and it’s always very good but we decided to dine in on this occasion - mainly due to the unpredictability of the weather!! So good to be offered the option of a battered vegan sausage, which did not disappoint! Plentiful chips and delicious curry sauce. Scampi, burger and fish and chips all very well received by the rest of our party. The food arrived quickly - no mean feat given the busyness of the place - and was fresh and hot. It’s not cheap - but fish and chips isn’t anywhere these days - but definitely worth it. The staff are friendly and helpful - we’d booked, but others were walk ins and were all being accommodated with good grace despite how full the seating area was and how busy the takeaway was too. We will definitely be back!

We sat in the seated area as the take away was rammed , quick friendly service by the young staff , the food took a while though but it was busy , it’s expensive and half decent, nice fish , colourless chips but we’re ok , it’s a tourist trap what do you expect , I’d go back

It is conveniently positioned near the beach where many people walk in the colder evenings however no hot drinks available. Nice selection of soft drinks though. The chips we had were awfully black and almost half of the chips we did not eat and considering the cost of the chips this was disappointing. Staff most helpful and service is brilliant. Very over priced. Probably would eat here again but only due to location, but certainly wouldn’t rush back.

Fab little place. Really popular take away and eat in. Young, friendly staff. Ten minute wait for chips but so worth it. Best chips we have had in years.

We stopped off and had a dine in lunch four of us. Service and food was lovely. Highly recommend. Tasty nice selection and got introduced to a Frickles. (Fried pickles) Yum.

It’s expensive, but where does fish and chips cheap now and especially in such a prime location as this? Served by a lovely young lady who made it clear how to order, where to wait etc. we Both had a small takeaway fish and chips. The fish was cooked beautifully, the chips were yummy, the curry sauce good, so what’s not to like? Took out takeaway and sat on the sunny beach. A small portion was not that small and ample for me and my husband. Good, friendly service, tasty food, second time here., great stuff!

Not great, had to wait quite a long time for them, the fish portion size was very small, its very pricey for what you get and way too much salt, and lots of green chips, we had to throw alot of them. So disappointing, such a lovely location but a waste of money.

Excellent takeaway fish and chips. Not cheap but big portions and top quality - so definitely good value. Bit strange that you need to wait outside (under cover) but the actual serving counter is only small. We didn’t eat in, but I can only assume the eat in is even better!

Delicious fish and chips all freshly prepared. Light and crispy batter. Lovely tartare sauce too. Good size portion. Friendly staff.

Typical fish and chip menu and food but with some fun (such as the really tasty Frickles). Really nice and bright seating and outstandingly pleasant service!

Large cod and chips take-away. Absolutely beautiful piece of cod with the lightest, crispiest batter. Fresh crispy chips. Delicious.

One of the best fish and chips we've had,the fish, batter and curry sauce was all fantastic. Lovely restaurant on the seafront, staff are really friendly and accommodating. I'm sure they'll win an award soon.

Had takeaway fish and chips from here. They were ok, the fish was quite tasty after you’d taken the skin off. Sat on the beach to eat them, which is something we always like to do when we are on holiday. The staff were friendly and we had to wait about 5 mins for the food. It cost £27 for one large and one small fish and chips and two canned drinks.

Goos fish and chips, lovely staff, and priced reasonably for location! Would definitely go again. Lovely decor, although decided to take away.

Had a take away… busy bank holiday so a small wait. Fish & Chips were brilliant! Kiddies had the usual beams, cheesy chips, sausages and these too are recommended.

Perfect as always! The chips were golden and crispy on the outside and fluffy in the middle, and my cod was delicious. A visit to this chippy makes even a dull day in Broad Haven well worth the trip. The staff were super friendly and really efficient, even though they were busy.

Stopped here for lunch, nice and clean and bright... haddock and chips, fish cake and chips and chicken and chips. Good and fresh, timely service. Good customer service. Good was hot and and tasty and fresh. Batter on fish was crispy, chips were hot and crispy and fluffy inside... all good. Reasonably priced too. We ate inside so managed a cheeky beer too. Recommended
