After a hospital visit this morning, we arrived in Piccadilly Gardens, Manchester by bus around midday and were looking for somewhere for a drink and maybe something to eat. We spotted Tegtat in a highly convenient spot adjacent to the bus station and tram. Tegtat is a Turkish bakery and cafe, with a good selection of tasty food. We enjoyed the music as we tried the Borek with spinach and cheese, somewhat reminscent of a Greek spanikopita but spiral. I will definitely be going back.

My second visit. This time I brought my aunt. Had to share this gem if a cafe. Staff are so friendly. Nothing is too much trouble. The food and drink are heavenly. Just gorgeous. Looks like I'm going to become a regular.

If you want a proper kebab 🥙 in Leicester, only Picnic Kebab House will do the trick. I've Been eating from here since the 80's when it first opened. The only other place I would go for kebab's is Pavlos on Queens road. 👌🏽

3-5 Narborough RoadBest Turkish food in Leicester and Leicestershire. Friendly service, fantastic food, great value for money. The chicken is always so tender and the Patlican meze is amazingI The vegetarian betya is delicious and my mums firm favourite. It's great to see a Turkish restaurant also offering vegetarian options. This simplifies eating out, for families with mixed dietary requirements. I just wish you could open another branch in Coalville so, at least we'd have one decent, restaurant.

164 Evington RoadTried the newly introduced pizza at Lokma Shawarma Mangal on Evington Road. The base was fresh and nicely baked, and the overall taste was decent. However, the cheese was a bit on the lighter side — could definitely use a more generous layer. Still, for a new item on the menu, it shows potential. Worth trying if you’re already a fan of their other food.
