After a hospital visit this morning, we arrived in Piccadilly Gardens, Manchester by bus around midday and were looking for somewhere for a drink and maybe something to eat. We spotted Tegtat in a highly convenient spot adjacent to the bus station and tram. Tegtat is a Turkish bakery and cafe, with a good selection of tasty food. We enjoyed the music as we tried the Borek with spinach and cheese, somewhat reminscent of a Greek spanikopita but spiral. I will definitely be going back.

By far the best takeaway meals in Leicester. Azar is top notch and always helpful. Great prices and there homemade chilli sauce hits the spot!

The best grilled chicken I have had after leaving Kenya. Reminds me of Kenyan food.

Totally different to what it was, someone that has been eating there for about 40 years would certainly know the differences? Its total lie to say its the same The ingredients completely changed, the original kebabs were thicker and more real, with ginger/ coriander / fresh green chilli, you could see / taste/ smell all the aroma because them ingredients create aroma, The smell is like disgusting smell now, even the sauce has been off few times stinks then , and they're nose blind don't care just sell? Chicken tikka, they are absolutely burnt to death, you served with pieces which are covered in black, so you're either scraping it off or you're eating that which is really bad for you, I been ill from that Customer service is awful now, customer walks in, then 1 new kid there , but the others are so rude, no manners, they come towards counter, see customer/ make eye to eye contact too atleast acknowledge with smile/ hello nothing The clothes they wear too, disgusting with stains etc, I walk in sometimes to see a stray person nobody sat right infront with his Sandles off, I ask whose that? Oh its just anyone off the street, I mean absolutely disgusting, at end of the day, it's supposed to be a restaurant not a drop in centre, have some order, sense of professionalism/hygiene and control The worst thing I see is anyone's sticking their hand in for the food? I'm thinking whos the main cook/ chef , should only be 1 person really? Oh no it's anyone and everyone? How? It's really unfortunate and shame though as the original guy who initially started this did a fantastic unique idea /taste, but unfortunately its nothing left of that
