Antalya Restaurant in Leicester

The best grilled chicken I have had after leaving Kenya. Reminds me of Kenyan food.

The whole place smelled weird, especially from where I was sitting. They didn't have ayran. The supposed "lentil" soup, advertised as the actual yellow-colored soup online, is actually ezogelin. The kuzu şiş I got was good but nothing special. I had very high hopes and expectations as a Turk but they were all crushed the second the waiter brought in the soup. Instead of being actual Turkish cuisine, it felt like a bad attempt of recreating it. The food should be good if you're not Turkish, but I'm pretty sure I won't be coming back.

Very unpleasant experience! We were given a table by the manager in the middle of traffic area and close to the door, we asked if we could sit in another table which we could see was out of the way and empty, we were told abruptly " We don't have" , we asked another waiter & she was happy to help. Our food arrived burned but the burned side was down, we were already so disappointed because the meat tasted off with a horrible after taste. We were offered a replacement which we couldn't eat because the meat didn't taste right! The Child chicken meal for £8 came with 4 chicken cubes plonked on chips. To add insult to injury we were overcharged on the bill & had to ask the waiter to amend it.Never again!

I went to visit Antalya for my dad’s birthday and had an amazing experiance. We were greeted and welcomed by Druv and Fawziya. They gave us a great amount of bread along with the sauces. Our meal came very quick and the service was superb. They then gave us Turkish tea and gave my dad a surprise with a cake beautifully presented. This restaurant is our go to restaurant and I will definitely be visiting again. 10/10 service and food Thank you Antalya and staff

Awful awful delivery service over 2 hours and no delivery. Called and got told another 30 mins so cancelled order don't advertise you can deliver food when you can't.

Out of all the Turkish restaurants in leicester, I have to say this is the go to... Friendly staff, great food and quaint atmosphere, it ticks all the boxes for couples and families.

Heard alot about this place from Family. Welcomed and seated with a smile. Food was amazing, very rich in flavour and portion sizes were huge. Cheaper than most places. Prayer room available. Complimentary bread, sauces and Tea. Service was impeccable. There were 2 sisters who looked after us and nothing was too much trouble for them. I'm from Bradford and spoilt for choice around surrounding areas but would return here without a shadow of a doubt the next time I'm in Leicester. My Mrs left her bag at the restaurant, and though they were closed, they waited for me to pick it up which was really nice of them. Thank you.

Chicken, lamb, hummus, bread, baklava all very disappointing. Overcooked and unseasoned

We went there on Sunday evening 11/8 and it was lively and busy. The waitress was very friendly and helpful. We ordered the platter for 4 which was absolutely delicious and the meat was very juicy and tender. The bread was equally delicious, nice and arrived hot. The main meal came fairly quickly despite the crowd and finally we were offered the Turkish tea on the house which was the perfect ending to the meal. Goes without saying, Hasta la vista . We ordered 2 platters which was more than enough for 11 of us. The meat was perfectly cooked and a good mix of chicken and lamb. We also received complimentary Turkish bread and dips for starters and Turkish tea when we finished eating. We received great service from Naeem and the team.

Can't fault our experience here. We had the mix platter for 2 and it was quite enough! Price was fair for the amount of food, staff were friendly, nice and attentive. Will be back again some time!

We ordered the special mix for 2, which had lamb kofta, chicken beyti, lamb shish, and chicken shish on a bed of rice. All the meat was nicely cooked and what I was impressed with was the lamb shish which was tender and soft. Usually, at many other Turkish restaurants, the lamb is chewy, but this was really nice. The only thing i could fault was as we sat down. Within 2 mins, we were asked if we were ready to order. We hadn't even opened the menu. Think they should give a bit more time. Food did not come together, we had ordered chips and that came much later after main food. They offer Turkish tea when you have finished and that was also nice. with a Turkish delight and wafer biscuit. Overall, it was very good, but it could be better if the above is taken into account. Good turkish food and reasonably priced.

Ordered my food at 4.30 arrived at5.03 no salad waited 1 hour for saled this is not the first time now I have to put my food in the microwave. Not good Not good at all

The food was amazing as always went for the platter mix and was the best. The dolmas were always lovely for starters and they provide lovely baked breads at the start of the meal with different dips. The setting is really warm and comfortable. We enjoyed our meal thoroughly.

We went midweek it was quite busy. They found us a quite table for 4. The cold starters and hot starters we had were quite pleasant and the main family mix meal was more than enough. The side salad bowl was quite refreshing too. We had not had bread like this before in other Turkish restaurants it was different but we liked that too. The service we received was really good and the staff were attentive. Thank you to the staff.

This is a restaurant I've driven past a thousand times but never managed to actually go in to. Well, my family and I finally did it! It's located on the main road at the end of the terraced buildings. They have limited parking facilities opposite in the bed shop carpark which was convenient. The service was 100%. Staff could not have been any more friendly or helpful from the second we walked in, until we left. The food was served beautifully and tasted very good. I do really like Turkish food and I have my set favourite Turkish restaurant so compared to that one, this was good not excellent. I would say that's more to do with my personal tastes though, not any fault of Antalya's. We really enjoined the whole experience and the complimentary tea at the end! Halal food

Ordered a takeaway for +100 people. Service was fantastic from the team. From initially enquiry to end stage product. The management also accommodated supplementary food (in terms of quantity) free of charge as a good will gesture. Not to mention, the food was absolutely amazing.

Food was ok, stingy on the sauces though. Garlic sauce was runny like water. Bread was nice. No great ambience felt abit awkward. Waiters were friendly but kept looking at us. Tried clearing plates when we were still eating. Prices are decent.

Highly recommended place for a Turkish meal! I have been here four times from Slough. The food 5*, the service 5*. They even gave us complimentary food. The waitresses in the restaurant are also very kind and welcoming. I wish I knew they names to give them good review. I will give the date so you know who was working there (10.04.24). I have recommended my family members to have their meal here and they also have travelled from Slough, Milton Keynes, Kent and harrow . They have been saying it’s an amazing restaurant and visited many more times. I would like to recommend the owner to open another restaurant in London, especially in Slough as there are no better restaurants like this in Slough with a good price likes yours. We are very happy with your food & services! May your business be successful! We had nice Eid fill fulling our stomach this year again with your food. 🫶🏼

Very nice food and good service

bought 2 of the £75 grill platters for 14 people and it was absolutely delicious!!! it was very fresh, flavourful and the whole family enjoyed it :) Dhru and brother Naeem made the entire experience even better with their kind hospitality and care. Will defo be returning!!!

My favourite restaurant. I like everything about this restaurant and I am very fussy when it comes on to eating out.

Left waiting for food over 40 minutes after iftar and wrong order comes after then find out guy hasn’t even placed our order dispicable! Also took the wrong order instead of asking if we wanted to have some while wait for our food! Some Ramadan humanity. The guy with white beard. Didn’t seem to know the menu either! I came on Easter Sunday with a friend for iftar after giving dawah and wanted him to experience the Islamic atmosphere etc while fasting. We were given table 3 at 730. The girl with scarf was very nice and accommodating with a smile. The man with the white beard took our order and got it wrong while we were ordering we had to make order clear. Then we waited for 40 minutes for food and asked him then he came with wrong order he also read our table number wrong when ordering we had to make everything extra clear to him! It’s his job! Then he said it’s coming and took the wrong order and we waited another 10 minutes and found out he hasn’t even placed the order for yogurlu mix combo and chicken shish. We left and he also took the order that was wrong instead of feeding a fasting person and even wrapping up something anything to take or give while we wait ya Allah. Worst experience also I was doing daawah which really had an impact as it was going well This man needs training on Turk menu and also to pay attention and have humanity !! One hour without food after iftar wow Bad experience on way out he said il make it up next time. No next time and my family won’t be booking for occasions again either

Order mixed kebab with 2 meze dishes (£5 more than the normal mixed kebab) for delivery.... Got two tiny tubs of meze - see photo - same size as the chilli sauce they give you free! Absolute disgrace to be honest I'll never order again from these guys...

My father, brother and I recently visited Atayla Turkish Restaurant in Leicester for the first time, and it turned out to be an unforgettable experience. My father was eager to reconnect with some old friends, and we were delighted to receive top-notch service throughout the evening. Naeem Bhai himself was a standout, providing us with not only delicious food but also a warm and joyous atmosphere. It was truly a fun-filled evening that left us with lasting memories. On a street where there must be 10 highly rated Turkish restaurants all within walking distance, this one has blown me away!!!! I can't say enough positive things about my experience. The food is incredible, the staff are very friendly and work very hard to make sure every minute you are there is a pleasure. Parking is across the road at bed city. Fantastic

The starters were nice, especially the fresh bread with the humas. We ordered a variety of dishes. They were really good lot's of flavours tasty and fresh. Loved it, and the presentation along the table is unique. The desert was excellent and then ended with the mint tea. There was lots to go around. The service was excellent. The waiters were very polite and kind, always greating with a smile. The atmosphere was calm before we came in. I don't think the other customers were bothered about us as we were having a laugh. It can get busy so it's better to book in advance. If you go in the evening parking isn't an issue. Remember you're on Narborough Road it can get hectic. Overall, we had a great evening meal for 12. The food was top for a Turkish place, and the decor was lovely. Great place if you haven’t tried it already. Give it a go, you won't be disappointed.

One of the BEST Turkish restaurants in Leicester, and for very good reason too: food came fast, good value for money, very clean, really friendly staff, atmosphere, aesthetic, and setting (like lights and furniture) are good for all occasions (like date nights, family dinners, or parties.) Never failed to deliver its high quality every time we’ve been, would definitely recommend to anyone and everyone.

Mediocre experience. My girlfriend is Turkish and she ordered a Lamb beyti however what they serve is not that. If you order that and google the actual thing you'll be disappointed. Card machine wasn't working so they asked for banktransfer. Very unusual.

Food was great the combo I had was cooked well and had a taste to it and not bland like other Turkish restaurants. The service was excellent and the girls and the owner who served us asked us several times if everything was ok and if we needed something. A nice gesture was when we left they all said bye. Would definitely go again and recommend.

Great food, great service from waiters, they were helpful and always asked if we were OK and needed/wanted anything, our kids were comfortable with seating and service, reasonably priced food and portions were generous. Would visit again, have more others to try!

Ordered platter for 6. Visited this place with friends. Staff were very warm and welcoming. We had to wait a little longer than expected for our food to arrive, but it was worth the wait. The food was reasonably priced, and portions sizes are good. All the food was fresh and tasty. The waiters attended to all of our needs courteously. Other friends and family have also eaten from here and have absolutely loved the place.

Absolutely disgusted. Have ordered lots of times previously, food is lovely. However we have had an email after ordering at around 6pm, at 8pm (5 minutes after our latest expected delivery time) saying they’re struggling to fine our address! We have NEVER had an issue before! We called at 20:15 and weren’t asked for directions, just a mobile number. It’s now18:40, not had a call from the driver & the main restaurant has turned off their phones! If you’ve not done our food, just let us know so we can order elsewhere! Treating us like this is so disrespectful!!!

We went on Saturday night. Food was really good. We left the restaurant full and happy. The meat was tender and the rice was soft. What impress me the most was the service. Our waiter was so attentive! We would bring out things before we even ask for it. The waitress was so friendly. We were welcomed with a smile and had a nice experience all the way until we left. The food came out really quick. We hardly have to wait for anything! Definitely would love to go back again!

I’ve visited it once while I’m travelling to Manchester. We’ve stopped by to find a good place to try Turkish food and we are happy we have chosen this place. The food was equisite and waiters were helping us and overall atmosphere was warm and friendly.

The only reliable spot for turkish stuff.. get my takeaway almost every other day. Portions are quite generous. By far tge best turkish food spot in Leicester.

I can't ask for anything else from a restaurant. Excellent taste and very reasonable quantity. We were 6 people and everyone was full but the bill ended up just about 100 which is unreal. Their customer service is the best. They have customer parking as well which is rare these days. This the best of Leicester for sure.

Was running around looking for a Turkish place on my journey and found this place. Boy was it a surprise, good customer service as soon as I walked in. The food was also good, Turkish food as you would expect. It was very quiet though (went at 6pm on a Thursday) for being on such a busy road. Parking is a bit of a nightmare on that side, inspectors walking around for the double yellow cheats, best to park on a side road, after 6 on a single yellow. Back to the food 😁 had a quick lamb kofta wrap meal, came with Fries. No drink though for a meal, when asked about the drink, the guy charged me 50p extra for some tap water, full bill was £9. Food was good, mildly spicy, condiments were good too. If I had a bit more time I would judge them on the welcome bread as I like to do with these Turkish places, even though I was in a hurry, the welcome break was not offered. Welcome Bread definition = when you sit down at the restaurant and prior to ordering they offer you house bread with some dips etc... Rarely places do this but the ones that do, uff that is worth a revisit.

The service was very poor, first we were given plastic cups for water. Other tables had glasses. The food was great. We asked for tea after eating our food and 1 waiter said the kettle was broken but they were saving tea on the other tables. 5mins later we asked a different waiter for tea and he said he will bring it in a few minutes only to be told we need to use your table so we won't save you tea anymore.

Quiet, nice down to earth Turkish food place, nice for the family and really friendly staff too. Lots of free bread refills and an amazing platter which went through the middle of the table for us all! Definitely worth the price and not overly expensive.

This place has become one of our regular go-tos. The grills for two and four are fantastic value (even better with a groupon!), the food is fresh and flavoursome. Staff and friendly and efficient. Highly recommend this place.

Didn't think much of the cold maze but the bread was lovely. The special chicken for 2 was very tasty, the vegetable kebab was not like the Aubergine maze but hot and it's very sweet and under it you get chips that soke up the sauce. The salad for 3 was in a dish that a can fits into. The staff were very helpful and attentive. The music was loud

Had a delightful meal here. The staff were all extremely kind polite and courteous. The food was absolutely delcious, the best adana kebab we have had and we have tried many Turkish restaurants and also in Turkey itself. The bread was delicious as was the mix grill platter and they gave us complimentary tea even though we didnt have space. We would love to go again to this gem, lvoely atmosphere and great that there was no alcohol served there and there was a prayer room, making for a very pleasant environment.

Just been for another great meal at Antalya. We have been to many Turkish restaurants throughout the UK and I would certainly rate this one as one of the best. All the staff are so friendly, with a smile, special mention to Ali and Haq, a great Maitre de. As always food was great ., tasty and well cooked, loved the cold mezes. We will certainly be back

Ordered on the Antalya app at 7pm, advised would be delivered by 8pm. Called at 8:20 to ask where food was as was late, was advised it was still on the way and “it was our shout if we ordered with them again” guess what we won’t! And will pass this on to all the people that we have recommended you to! Amazing food but absolutely appalling customer service!
