I hardly ever review. I'm also the overly critical sort but I couldn't find even the smallest thing wrong. It was perfect. Quick random lunch visit. Busy, but owner was on it. Service swift and with a smile. Prices for freshly made and tasty food very reasonable. If I'm back that way and hungry I'll definitely return. I also love loose leaf tea and finding a cafe that serves it is rare. Spot on. Thank you.

Likely the best cakes I've eaten in any café (a truly scrumptious pistachio and lime today), delicious, good quality, loose leaf tea. and interesting well made bespoke furniture too. All served by the cheerful and helpful owner! Recommended without hesitation. No wonder I keep coming back!

Fabulous owner Clare can’t do enough to make you feel welcome. All cakes home made and fabulous. The salad was packed with goodness and plentiful. Don’t eat to much savoury, save yourself for the cakes 😃

Called in again this week for lunch with 2 daughters (aged 22 &3). This cafe is always a fave of ours! Gorgeous, tasty, fresh sandwiches and the most delicious home made cakes. What more could you ask for! I actually had the halloumi and avocado salad which is Devine. Topped with seeds and fresh pomegranate, wholesome, filling and delicious!

We celebrated my sister's 80th birthday with an afternoon tea at Tea With Percie and it was excellent. A good variety of delicious dainty sandwiches, fresh scones, and a good range of generous portions of cakes. As we started on our cakes the owner came to the table with butterfly cupcakes with candles in them which added to the celebratory feel of the occasion. A lovely places, and we felt very well looked after. Really good value too.

Absolutely brilliant - food superb ( we had a variety of different sandwiches and amazing cakes with 6 different varieties and scones) Tea with Percie went the extra mile - catered for Coeliac, lactose intolerance and 3 regular (all boxed separately and no cross contamination). Portions extremely generous, loads of home made strawberry jam and whipped cream for the scones. Very very good value - try it and be impressed, we were!

I was really impressed with the vegetarian afternoon tea I ordered for collection. It was really great both the fab selection of sandwiches and the cakes were amazing. I will definitely be returning for another visit

I have been a coming to this cafe for around 7 years it is one of my favourite spots in Sheffield and couldn't recommend the place enough. The customer service is so welcoming, friendly and warm. The food is absolutely fantastic and great value for money this will always be my go-to tea room. I recomend the afternoon tea which can be made to take out during covid. The cassa goats cheese grape and fig confit sandwich is heavenly. The selection of freshly baked cakes and cheesecakes are so unique, I've never had them anywhere else in Sheffield. Pecan pie, rose Water and pischachio, lime and raspberry cheesecake, sticky ginger, morrocan orange, raspberry slice amongst many. The homemade scones are unparalleled! Cannot wait to be back for a good old sit in tea and sandwich!

My neighbour and I have just discovered the salad boxes from here. They are delicious and full of goodness! If you don't have time to wait, you can ring ahead and collect. Love the combinations of salad, fruit and seeds. Will definitely be nipping down here on more lunch breaks!

Been popping for takeaway cake and coffee every week or so during lockdown - such an uplifting treat. The cakes are delicious. Today’s raspberry and lime cheesecake was perfection. We’ve popped in for slices but also preordered a whole cake for a special occasion. (Next plan is to order an afternoon tea.) I’ve also had sandwiches in the pre-lockdown days- the ‘cassa’ is great.

Estaba fresco incluso el segundo día después de guardarlo en la nevera. 8. 5 sobre 10.Brownie fue un clásico. Habiéndome mudado recientemente aquí, no he podido probar el brownie perfecto hasta ahora y Percie acaba de responder a mi deseo. Lo calenté durante 10 segundos en el micro y fue increíble. Me encontraba con amigos por primera vez en más de un año. Llegamos a las 11 de la mañana y nos quedamos hasta las 3 de la tarde. El personal era amable y salió si su manera de cuidarnos. Incluso cuando comenzó a estar ocupado, no nos hizo sentir que habíamos quedado fuera de nuestra bienvenida. Los pasteles están hechos por ellos y personalmente puedo recomendar la sopa. Sabroso.

He estado viniendo a Tea con Percie desde hace poco más de cuatro años, creo. He asistido con amigos, con familia y con mis dos hijos pequeños de 2 y 4 años. En una ocasión en la que nunca nos hicieron sentir mal, mis hijos siempre son atendidos y disfrutan de sus comidas de Clare. El hecho de que no haya un menú para niños como tal no significa que el propietario no atienda a los niños, todo lo que tiene que hacer es preguntar. Ella no puede hacer lo suficiente para sus clientes. La cafetería en sí es perfecta, acogedora, cómoda y con un ambiente agradable. Hay una gran variedad de comida en todo el menú y sándwiches especiales, pero mi favorita es una ensalada. The lady was indeed the very helpful at this place, I come here often with my Multiple Sclerosis and other issues, and she is always willing to listen to anything I have to say, she always, has an open heart and a very welcoming attitude, it seems like a breath of fresh air to come in here, I do definitely recommend it to anyone ☺️

A great selection of tasty veggie sandwiches, teas and fabulous cakes. Generous portions and low prices. Friendly too. What’s not to like?

Me and my friend both with babies had the audacity to enter this establishment with buggies. We were met not even with a hello. The place was empty yet the owner stood with her back to me for at least two minutes, then looked at me in disgust. I asked if lunch was still being served to which the owner said they were but we couldn’t sit there with buggies. We moved to a different place and she said you can sit there for now but if anyone comes in you will have to move. We did not want to start eating lunch and then be told we have to move with two small babies. I run a business and If i had customer service like this I wouldn’t have any customers left. The owner clearly chooses who is welcome in her establishment as other people have had a totally different experience. Maybe It was because I didn’t have a felt dyed poncho on, or ask for a dandelion water. Maybe it was because we didn’t have our babies in slings who knows.

Run by an extremely rude arrogant Hyacinth Bucket type woman who dislikes dogs immensely. Won't be giving her my custom.

Have been going to Tea with Percie for a while and I can only say I have never had a bad experience Clare is lovely and funny and always welcoming. The tea and food menu are just perfect and the home made cakes always second to none favourites include the Liv Sandwich, fresh homemade quiche, the Black Cherry Tea and the Passion Fruit and Lime Curd Tart.

Found this little gem on Tripadvisor. It's my new favourite cafe. The food is delicious and all at a very reasonable price. The wide range of speciality teas are some of the best I've had and the cakes seem very homemade and fresh. I would recommend highly for a lazy casual Sunday with a paper or book. Delightful.

I often feel nervous about taking my little girl to new (to us) places because I worry that it won’t be suitable. Will she like any of the food? Will there be a high chair? Will it be too busy? Can we order quickly so that she won’t get bored before the food comes? Well, in Tea With Percie we both loved the food, we were offered a high chair within seconds of arrival, there were other customers but plenty of room, and we could order at the counter any time we liked. Just perfect! We were even offered toys and a special drink for my toddler. We will certainly be returning as soon as we can. Thank you for making us feel so welcome.

Popped in here after a trip climbing and ordered the liquorice tea, soup of the day and a pastrami/gherkin sandwich. all the food was made fresh and the soup was delicious. the matron running the cafe was very friendly. all in all would happily return.

It is always a pleasure to visit Clare at tea with Percy. I can highly recommend the spicy bean burger, quite delicious, the salad is delicate and all beautifully presented. The cakes..are a must, utterly divine. Clare is well like in the community and considered an Aunt by the local teenagers who visit. I was delighted to hear that she is healing well after surgery and look forward to my next visit.

It is a while since I reviewed Tea with Percie, so time for another one. I cannot praise this little cafe enough,. We have been breakfasting, lunching, afternoon teaing and just coffeeing in this great little cafe for several years. Claire a most fantastic cook and makes some amazing cakes. She generally works alone and you may have to wait a little for your food, but it is always worth it. She hasn't been too well recently and it is sad to see a poor review from 'steve 1960', which I feel is not typical of anything we have ever encountered.

My good friends don't live in Sheffield but in good faith they gifted me with tea for two. I went with my daughter and granddaughter and offered to pay extra for my granddaughter but was never offered a children's menu and she shared our food which she did not like.

Long waits + dirty dishes where can i start? I simply came in to order a coffee the waiting time was very long and came in a stained coffee mug. Definitely would not recommend coming here. Poor quality service !

Every few weeks or so, my mum, myself and my two young children (1 and 3 years) always venture down to tea with percie on a weekend afternoon. I have never been to such an accommodating, homely, friendly establishment. All food is prepared fresh, we always order the same "casa" sandwich, goats cheese, rocket, grape and fig confit served with coleslaw and crisps. The food is exquisite every visit, I have also had the fresh sweet potato and coconut soup which is out of this world. The children are always made to feel welcome in the cafe, they have a selection of books, puzzles and vintage wooden toys for children to entertain themselves with. The food can be tailored to your dietary needs such as vegetarian, vegan, gluten free, halal. The options are endless, there really is something for everybody. The owner herself is a lovely lady who always has time for everyone and all her customers, takes pride in providing excellent customer service. The selection of cakes are irresistible, I just have to have one every time I go. Absolutely recommend a visit to this hidden gem of Sheffield

Really delicious food - a fab range of sandwiches, home-baked cakes, scones, scrumptious salads - yesterdays had avocado, sesame seeds and delightful pomegranate seeds amongst the leaves and juicy tomatoes. An amazing range of refreshing teas - Clare and Henk will always have a recommendation for your mood! And according to my Dad the best coffee in Sheffield!

I have visited this wonderful cafe for the past couple of years. Every single visit has been so lovely and welcoming. Clare is always so friendly and chatty and genuinely interested in people, and she takes time to really chat and ask how you are. The decor is amazing and there is always a great selection of magazines, books and games (to keep the little ones amused - the big ones too I suppose!). The food - well, the food is to die for. Freshly made sandwiches, (The Hot Bob is heavenly), really good coffee and tea, beautiful homemade cakes, all presented in an artistic and scrumptious way. This is an unusual and slightly quirky place with a great cafe 'vibe', a very relaxed place to sit and read your book over a pot of Lady Grey. The local people obviously love this place and Clare, who is a lovely, warm host. Highly recommended to all, whether you are on your own, have kids, want to talk, want to be quiet, want to chill - this is the place! Love it!!

As always, nothing is too much trouble for Clare. With a fabulous menu of freshly prepared food and cakes I'm spoilt for choice again. Recommended by a friend who regularly eats here with colleagues, this friendly and welcoming tearoom provides consistently good cakes, sandwiches and a wide range of different teas (also does coffee). All the cakes are home made, with the owner often in the process of baking them fresh during the day. Some of the cakes are old favourites, whilst there is usually a new one to try each week. Portion size is good, prices very reasonable and service excellent. Not sure where the last review came from, seems at odds with my experience and all the other reviewers, just wondered if they got the right shop.

This is my 'go-to' cafe for all my lunches and teas with family, friends, colleagues and even a few dates! The service is attentive, friendly and personal, with the owner, Clare, making the effort to know and remember my personal likes and dislikes. My favourites are the amazing halloumi and chickpea fritters (the salad that comes with them is the best I've had anywhere) and the pecan pie, together with a pot of rosebud tea but you really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. The only possible reason not to recommend this lovely cafe is so that there is always a space for me!

I had a delicious sandwich and a generous slice of homemade cake here. Ingredients were really fresh and it was a good portion for the price. The atmosphere is warm and friendly. I'll definitely be going back the next time I'm in the area.

Had a poor experience at this cafe with the frosty owner around 12 months ago but thought I would give it another go. Nothing has changed. We asked politely if we could bring our very small well behaved dog inside. Yes as long as she sat under the table - all good you would think? Not really. The dog had the audacity to sit ever so slightly to the side of the table. Instead of asking us politely she was curt and said pleas make sure she is under the table. Ok we thought no problem however the double standard was she had a group of unaccompanied unruly children running around the cafe?! Secondly my phone was about to run out of charge and I was expecting a very important phone call. I saw that the plug socket had a lock in it which I assumed was to stop children sticking their fingers in. I removed the lock to charge my phone slightly - I was told in no uncertain terms the lock was there for a reason and it was not for phone charging.

We shared some a pot of Filter Coffee and had 3 of the scrumptious homemade cakes, although it was really hard to choose which to go with as they all looked yummy ! Friendly and welcoming and gave some lovely wooden toys to my toddler to play with. Would certainly visit again.

A lovely, good value tea room with a friendly atmosphere and a range of interesting sandwiches. A nice place to start off from if you are going to explore the historical area Nether Edge especially as there is plenty of reading material to look at about the area which is best enjoyed while indulging in a tasty treat.
