What a lovely little place! We had a very warm welcome and greatly enjoyed our breakfast in the secret garden. It was lovely to meet Archie too!

We Called in one Saturday night with friends listening to singers ( which we regularly do) when one other customer made a racial remark to me, which really upset me and our accompanied friends from affar as we wanted to show them the village pubs , and i confronted him about the upsetting behaviour who was causing the management to attend and it was me that was told to leave not the customers that was causing the scine , i explained to the management what had been said but they was not interested and I was told by the management not return so we informed the police. leaving the racist customer and his friends in the pub. the management are not being professional in this type of matter by putting friends first and their own community.

Wanted to go in there for ages. Was not disappointed. Beautiful place. Went in the TV room with my son and daughter in law to be, welcomed by a beautiful open fire, we defrosted nicely! We had a meal which was first class, matched by the staff there. Can't wait to go across (over the road!) again.

Had a lovely roast beef sandwich on New Years Eve. Very good value!

Went for bonfire night, amazing toffee apples from the bar and they had a catering van outside which did lovely spuds. Really nice evening with a great armosphere.

A lovely calm atmosphere with fantastic service, over and above expectations. Accommodating to every one even with dietary requirements. All enjoyed our experience again it’s definitely on the favourites list. Thank you Emma and staff xx

Fabulous food, great drinks and amazing staff 😍. We spent about 8 hours here on a Saturday afternoon! Sport on TV, then jukebox and much singing 🙉! Drinks flowing from the bar and fab pie, chips and mushy peas. Staff looked after us like we were royalty and we felt so at home. A brilliant pub not to be missed!

Just had our first visit here for lunch , what can we say but perfect, tried the £5 lunch offer of quiche and chips .which was gluten free , and not being a fan of quiche I can honestly say this was the best weve ever tasted ,chips salad and coleslaw, with a side of onion rings 10/10. We also had a sticky toffee pudding with ice cream also excellent. And the landlord pours a nice pint of beer (creamy worthingtons ).the pub itself is extremely clean with what looks a recent refurb ,and all the staff make you feel very welcome , we will 100% be back for a visit ..

Beautiful breakfast with unlimited tea and coffee. Served with locally sourced ingredients some of which are within a mile which is just superb for food miles. We’ll be here as often as possible

Lovely local pub. Great atmosphere . Food is fabulous with a varied menu.Pizza night you can eat in or take away. The owners Carl and Emma are lovely and the heart of the local community with regular events for all. The staff are helpful, fun and can't do enough for you. Highly recommend. There are outdoor tables to the front but a lovely area through the back.

Super friendly fun pub where nothing is too much trouble. Spotless kitchen serving tasty food. There’s also live music, quiz/bingo, karaoke, events/private parties, theme nights & community activities. All the above is provided by hardworking owners and staff who strive for excellence.

We hired out the back room for our child’s christening, every member of staff were super friendly , helpful and professional. All our guests commented on how lovely the food was and how nice the pub was too. Thank you for being so accommodating xx

So just been for Breakfast after our walk, and highly recommend it. What I love is that Emma and Carl source all ingredients from local family run businesses which makes them extra 😋. The fried bread was excellent and everything cooked to your liking and fresh for you. Also a family arrived and little one wanted cereal Emma pops up with a variety pack brilliant for everyone can’t fault. Unlimited tea and coffee or you can choose to purchase from the bar. Great value, Great food, Great Community Pub and Dog Friendly 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Took my parents for a spot of lunch after our weekly shopping trip. Just happened to be musical memories especially designed for the older generation. Mum enjoyed her large Chardonnay and chatting to the locals and dad was looking at the books whilst sipping his San Miguel and then they each had a £5 meal off the special menu which they said was lovely and filling.

Last minute booking and was not disappointed. The pie from this place is quite frankly the meatiest I’ve ever had. Proper pie, with proper pastry shell and lid, and meat that was all the way to the top, big ,chunky pieces of tender steak with a taste to die for. Proper home cooked chips and a jug of real meat juice gravy was soooo yummy. We had a problem with a cheese and onion pie and they fell over themselves to change it and apologise, even the chef, (though new is at the top of her field) made time to come out of the kitchen and apologise. All staff here are friendly and made time to keep checking that things were ok and if we needed anything.

Decent after long awaited refurb

Called in today to try new Autumn/Winter menu and was not disappointed. Steak and Ale pie was tasty and meaty the mash was delicious, plenty of gravy and Hendo’s rounded the whole thing off nicely. Liver and onions complimented with delicious creamy mash and an added sausage was excellent as an option. Plenty of onion gravy and garden peas made for two hearty dishes. Washed down with well kept smooth Guinness Got to love this homely pub with welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff. Highly recommend

Parked in the carpark at 8 am and was rudely confronted by the landlord who asked me to move when the carpark was empty I explained I was waiting for my sister and we where planning on having lunch but he wasn't happy was rude aggressive and intimidating. Went to the lamb and mutton for lunch further up the road where they where very welcoming and have an amazing food menu with good costomer service .

Been back to this brilliant pub today for lunch and it didn’t disappoint!!! We all had something different from the menu the food was beautiful presented, generous portions and delicious!!! The staff are second to none welcoming and pleasant!!!! Cannot recommend it enough we are going back for pizza night on Friday’s!!!!!

Just had the foot long dogs with a Bradfield Belgium Blue. Yet again really tasty, hot and quick and easy collection. Highly recommended.

Due to covid19 restrictions the pub can now only offer a Meal and Drink collection service which is excellent well organised and very covid19 friendly, our food was very tasty and hot as we would have had in the pub, certainly will order again!!!

On the back of Covid19 the pub is open for takeaway food and drinks Thurs-Sat. I ordered the 'Say Cheese' burger which was delicious. Hot, on time and socially distanced handover with the usual friendliness of the team. The pub is also a.must when reopened. Recently refurbished and plenty of indoor and outdoor space. Great food, plenty of variety on drinks all served up by the fabulous team. Keep going Blue Ball.

I pass this village pub very regularly on my bus journeys into Sheffield, but up to a few months ago was a rather run down pub that offered no food and didn't look very welcoming. What a transformation! Shortly before lockdown this pub passed into new ownership and was completely refurbished. In addition, a fully equipped kitchen was added. This was my first ever visit and it won't be my last! The refurbishment has been tastefully and sensitively done and it still feels like a pub where the locals are welcome for just drinks or food. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and unlike many places had smiles on their faces and looked after everyone throughout their visit. I ordered a pint of Timothy Taylor Golden Best which was well kept. The menu is not the biggest but is very well suited to a small locals pub and offers burgers, paninis and grills amongst other things and a selection of desserts. I felt very safe with regard to the ongoing Covid situation - the tables were well spaced and serving staff wore masks. I ordered the Worrall Whopper burger which consists of 2 6oz beef burgers in a brioche bun with bacon, Monterey Jack cheese, tomato, salad and maple BBQ sauce together with chips and slaw. This was tasty and also nicely presented with a stack of onion rings on top. Afterwards, I ordered the local Our Cow Molly strawberry ice cream which was also delicious. I will return soon for another visit. There is also a nice beer garden to the side and courtyard at the front with good views of the surrounding countryside.

The Blue Ball has recently been refurbished, just as Covid-19 hit. The new Landlord really cares about the customer and going that extra mile to make things as perfect as possible. The welcome, food, and service are just great. Highly recommended!

First visit since it’s been refurbished and really impressed. Went on a Tuesday afternoon as a family. Straight to a table and excellent service. Had the Black & Blue burger and it was fantastic. Good range of burgers, panini’s, jackets & small nibbles. Menu doesn’t need to be any wider as it’s a great family friendly pub not solely focused on food. Lots of space for social distancing and really friendly staff led by the owner who is local.

What an absolute delight! Couldn’t say a bad word about the visit, the food was amazing and the staff couldn’t have made us feel more welcome.

New residents to the village of Worrall the landlord and landlady were very welcoming and friendly on our first visit, as they have been ever since we have been in. Great local village pub with a good and friendly atmosphere. It will be closed in March to be refurbished . Can't wait to see the results and maybe they will offer a food menu. Let's see.

Turned up at this pub to watch the local game tonight, to which I can only presume was the landlord who turned around and said "Games not on, we don't have Sky Sports anymore", which was clearly a blatant lie as when we walked round to the area of the pub with the pool table, low and behold the TV was on showing Sky Sports and the game myself and my friend wanted to watch. The landlord came round and said "Sorry, I am going to turn this off now" before switching the TV off. As a new resident to this area, I can safely say that I will. never frequent this pub again, given the poor service I received as detailed above.
