I was really wanting to like this cafe as it's not far from where I live and I wanted to find a new 'local'. The staff seemed nice. I ordered a meal and waited for a while. After 30 or so minutes my meal hadn't arrived and I enquired on its status. Apparently, the staff had lost the order. I was told I wouldn't have to pay which was a nice way of apologising. There was a shift change while I ate the food and when I went to pay the original staff member hadn't left any word of the discount, so I had to pay. The food was good, but the customer service let the cafe down unfortunately.

We had breakfast here today and were totally blown away by it. Lovely welcoming cafe with great, friendly staff and delicious food and coffee. The toasted sandwiches packed with all sorts of delicious things are DIVINE and kept us going for a packed day of the Fringe. They also sell a really nice range of cards and gifts. Would definitely recommend.

A small and quaint place in Ashley Terrance, near the canal & Harrison park. Friendly service, tasty vegan treats, tea served in nice teacups & Victorian style teapots. The outside sitting area, although next to the road, is pleasant & quiet.

Called today with our sleeping baby granddaughter to discover the café closed🙁. They were refurbishing. Owner saw our plight!😂. Offered us seats outside and then said she would give us cold drinks and a wee cake. Then said all at no cost😮. What a lovely gesture! Visit this place! You will not be disappointed. Can’t promise free drinks though😂.

T&S is our local cafe and it is such a gem in the area. Staff couldn’t be friendlier and everything they do is delicious. Their bacon rolls are the best in town. Pre-pandemic they would regularly hold “Wine & Roses” evenings when the cafe would change into a wine, cheese and charcuterie bar - really hope this returns when possible as it was fantastic.

Visited recently for the first time and very impressed. Only two tables inside (but maybe more outwith pandemic). A few wooden benches outside too. Quirky inside with art on the walls for sale as well as various other items. Staff welcoming and friendly. Good quality coffee and a lovely bacon roll with no skimping on the bacon! (only constructive criticism is when asked if I’d like sauce on my bacon roll - I’d like to be given the sauce rather than staff put it on before it arrives. Everyone likes a different amount of sauce.). Would definitely recommend and return.

We are just about to move into the neighbourhood and we were keen to try our new local. Couldn’t have been more impressed! The food is 11/10 and the coffee was also brilliant. Love the ethos of this place - the up-cycled furniture and crockery along with the lovely, eco-friendly and ethical homeware is a lovely addition. They also use compostable packaging for their take away stuff. We visited during the covid-19 pandemic and it felt very safe and clean. Staff are also very friendly. The only thing that could improve it is if it was bigger so that we can get a seat more often 😄

My family frequents this cafe. The owner and staff are friendly, welcoming and helpful. The food is absolutely delicious. There is outdoor seating (and indoor seating when COVID isn’t around). I highly recommend this delightful shop!

So pleased to see this place reopen and we had a wonderful takeaway coffee yesterday. There are a couple of tables outside but these were busy so we walked over to Harrison Park to enjoy our drinks. All felt very safe with good physical distancing measures in place. We’ll be back for food soon!

I've been meaning to try this place for a while - 2 years in fact, but it's always full when I pass by. Finally got a table and couldn't be happier. The staff were quick, friendly and made excellent coffee. I thought the artwork was a really nice touch and the prices were more than fair. I hope to be back.

We were very pleased when Tea and Sympathy opened. It's a lovely wee cafe perfect for lunch or tea/coffee and cake. I particularly recommend the lemon polenta cake. It's also dog friendly which is lovely as I borrow dogs to play with in Harrison Park which can be thirsty work. There is a pop up wine bar called Wine & Roses open in the evenings from time to time which serves wine flights, cheese and charcuterie boards and other nibbles. We've been once and would definitely go again.

I have visited T&S on numerous occasions, both to sit in and take away, and have never been disappointed. What first attracted me is that they are very dog friendly despite being such a small cosy place! The food is simple - bagels, bacon croissants, toast and eggs etc - but done well, and there’s wide range of drinks available (the cappuccino and turmeric chai latte are fantastic!). Service is easygoing and unobtrusive which I appreciate, especially in a confined space where it’s easy for servers to hover. It is a lovely addition to the neighbourhood and I will continue to pop in.

Pretty good. Very friendly staff and a nice shop connected to it where you can get fresh fruit and veg. Plenty of options including vegan. Nice options for small children too.

Un bar tradicional. Buena elección de cervezas, licores y vino. El personal del bar es gente encantadora y te hacen sentir bienvenido, los lugareños son amables también. Disfruté pasar tiempo allí.

This welcoming space was across the street from our hotel. Although service was on the slower side, it was made to order and very good. The restaurant was light and clean and a perfect place for a leisurely breakfast.
