Lovely spot to stop for tea, coffee or lunch. Located by the sea from, just up from the pier. The staff are lovely. We only stopped by for a cuppa, but the food looked very nice. Parking is right out front.

Should have gone here for our lunch but instead wasted money on disgusting fish and chips on the pier! Had an afternoon tea here in lovely surroundings, lovely and clean and staff very friendly. Cute ducks roaming around the lake. Made our day! If you queue up early for lunch the lady was telling us they have fresh crab brought in and delicious so will definitely go again. Go here rather than waste your money on disgusting fish and chips on the pier!!

Delicious food, good ambience and entertaining lunch with Desmondo’s and a one of our group reciting poetry from Christopher Matthew and one friend reciting Stanley Holloway with Albert and the Lion. Booked again for another entertaining lunch next month!!!!!

What a truly fabulous old fashioned pub with very welcoming landlady Anni and her customers, especially Janet and Peter, when we joined in Quingo yesterday afternoon. It was thrilling to win the picture quiz. The room was warm and cosy due to its great wood burner stove. The complimentary sandwiches were an added bonus! Thank you so much for the welcome and will join you all again in the New Year.

Honestly this place was quite average. Had heard good things about the food but we were quite disappointed. The calamari was chewy in places and the pepperoni pizza looked and tasted like a frozen pizza (harsh but truth). I ordered a dish off the specials which was listed as chicken alfredo. I feel as though they definitely should specify on the menu that this is NOT pasta and that it is in fact chicken in a mushroom sauce with potatoes. It tasted fine but nothing to rave home about. We were a little disappointed as we were seated in the snug at the front which was cramped and draughty. The staff were pleasant enough, no complaints there. Unfortunately wouldn’t return.
