A very warm and interesting welcome recieved from one of the owners. The staff were all smiley and presentable. There is lots of room to sit outside and beers on tap too. More importantly... The pizza is brilliant. Made with good, honest ingredients, it's almost a guilt free affair and the prices aren't too bad either. Woodfired is the closest thing I have found in Norfolk to real Italian pizza. Beautiful Italian pizza in the Norfolk countryside. Yes please! We'll be back.

Amazing pizza - literally the best I’ve had outside of Italy. We also tried the deep fried doughballs which were out of this world with mozzarella in the middle. The kids loved their pizzas too and the portions are really generous. There’s a lovely outdoor seating area if the weather is good and the staff are lovely. Couldn’t recommend enough!

On a boating holiday and this was an easy walk from the marina. Excellent Italian food and the host and staff were friendly. Great meal out!

Best pizza I’ve had outside of Italy, the sauce was so tasty. My son loved his pasta dish, the dough balls with pesto were delicious. Pudding went down very well too. Friendly staff and a nice environment.

Visited her with my son on 24th July 24, whilst staying locally on the beautiful river Waverley. Pizzas are such a subjective item, so I can only review on how the whole experience left me feeling. Decor was tasteful, location lovely. Staff friendly and attentive. Pizza was average, had their special (forget the name) was just not what I'm used to. Desert was tragic! The Pistachio Tower contained 2 waffles both stale. I did mention it to the waiter, I was told, Chef would be informed. I left over half of the portion. The worst thing .... the music! Pumping techno and eating don't mix! BPM's were at 140 on some songs. Read the room. I looked around to check the demographic, average age over 50, on my visit. Too loud and inappropriate for the crowd. This may seem like a little thing but, for me, it let the evening down.

We came here for the Bottomless Brunch, without really knowing what to expect. It turned out it was a selection of dishes, each brought out when you finished the previous one. They were all delicious, especially the goats cheese salad (and I'm not really a salad person!) and the mushroom pasta (which I could have had a whole bowl of!) My partner adored the Ragu. We have been here twice now, and both times have been wonderful. Keep up the excellent work.

Called and picked up a takeaway to eat on the boat as this place is close to Beccles Yacht Station. Third takeaway we've had from here and it was, as before, absolutely superb! First time I've been to fetch the food and I was hugely impressed with the friendly relaxed atmosphere of the restaurant. Next time I may well choose to eat in ( If I haven't got too much wine on the boat!) as it was such a nice place. Pizzas were superb, dirty potato wedges awesome and the Tiramisu to kill for... Cannot recommend enough!

Visited here whilst on holiday and can highly recommend for authentic Neapolitan pizza. Chef came over for a chat and was very friendly and knowledgeable about his craft. Service and drinks were excellent too.

As I am neapolitan, finally had the chance to taste an authentic neapoletan pizza here in norfolk! What a treat. The arancino was very tasty and the fried dough balls simply took me down to memory lane. Thank you for the great dinner!

Have visited multiple times now, not only is it some of the best pizza I have had they owner is incredibly friendly and tentative even remembering our prior visits! My daughter absolutely loves and recommends their dough balls - saying they are the best she has ever had!!

Great home made pizzas which is healthier than shop bought pizzas

We were very well looked after the minute we stepped in the establishment. We had the bottomless brunch , food was exquisite, service second to none , staff all very friendly and helpful . Throughly recommend a visit .

This fab place is just minutes away from where we are staying and I had already been checking it out online, before we arrived. We received a warm welcome and were seated and served nice and quick. Everything we ate was delicious. Hubby and I opted for the pizza of the day and shared 3 plates of starters. Puddings were the brownie and the pistachio tower - this was amazing and tasted so good. Highly recommend a visit.

We visited our friends and decided on take out pizzas. Oak fired pizzas were amazing!!!! The gluten free and vegan cheese options were great and really tasty. The kids were really impressed and the meat balls went down a storm too.

The young waiter/waitress were lovely and accommodating to us, however we overheard what we assumed was the manager/owner being very rude to the young waiters/waitress’. Unfortunately this made us feel very uncomfortable. The pizza was okay but floppy and hard to eat. Taste was good texture was bad. Chilli oil was tasteless and made the already very oily pizza more oily. Waiting staff were fantastic, wanted to give a tip but wasn’t sure if it would go directly to them. Facility was clean and tidy.

Had a great Americana Pizza this evening and the rest or our group enjoyed their pizzas too! We will certianly be coming back again.

Yet again another fantastic meal with the authentic pizza! The sauce is to die for. We had the calamari to start! So fresh and tasty. The pizza was out of this world. The sauce alone is the best you can find and so fresh. Freezing cold Peroni! :-) I’ve just read through some of the bad reviews…. The guys are not abrupt, they are professional! Service is to a very high standard. This place is spotless and they take pride in their work clearly! If you’re coming here for chips, go to weather-spoons or Pizza Hut! Oak fired is an authentic pizza restaurant?! Some people are delusional. Rant over don’t listen to the fools who are after chips. This place has authentic with unique flavours. We love it more every time. Thank you for a lovely evening. Delicious!

First time visited, and would highly recommend, the food was spot on, great service, will definitely be back.

Choose to take a special, pizza loving person here to celebrate. The welcome, service and kindness we were shown was mind blowing. The food was delicious, they catered for traditional pizza lovers but also had great options for those who want something different. I can't recommend highly enough and will definitely return.

Amazing Pizza and Pasta, staff were friendly.

We were staying overnight nearby and after reading previous reviews we decided to call in on the offchance to see if any Gluten Free options were available. Expecting the answer to be "no", we were pleasantly surprised that they were able to offer a GF pizza base (for my wife) so the three of us were happy to give Oak Fired a try. I had an Arracini stater which was really good, followed by pizza all round (one GF as requested). Service was prompt and friendly and the food was excellent. The pizza was quite honestly the best I have had and only equalled by a visit to a small restaurant outside Rome many years ago. Real authentic italian pizza - well done guys!

Pizza was fantastic. Service was friendly. Not easy access for a wheelchair. Will definitely be back. We went mid week early evening on a wet October night so can’t really judge the atmosphere. I can imagine it gets very busy!

One of the best pizzas that i have ever eaten. Lovely staff and a lovely sunny garden. Would really reccomend!

On holiday with family and small children. With our orders in we enjoyed chatting with the proprietor. When the children's Pasta arrived additional Parmigiano and mozzarella accompanied their plates of pasta. The adults enjoyed olives and bread as well as Calamari before our pizzas. Everything was well prepared in the traditional Neopalitano style. In fact the restaurant received training in Naples to prepare their pizza. We also enjoyed coffee and desserts.

Dough is ok but rest is very poor. Seafood was old and smelled awful. Pizza was tasteless. You better off going to the Italian place in Smallgate.

We have visited several times and every time we had great food. I recommend the calamari as a starter. About the pizzas do try the Neapolitan margherita as it’s very close to authentic pizzas in Napoli. For desserts I recommend cheesecake or the pistachio sundae as a great way to finish your meal. It’s a highly highly recommended restaurant.

We had salad, calamar and pizza here. Not a great experience. The salad was nothing special soaked in commercial dressing. The batter on the calamar rings was beautifully crispy and light but the pizza was disappointing. The base had gone thin and soggy and there was hardly any topping. The garlic bread was flavoursome, the chef had finely chopped the garlic rather than crushing it. We had to ask three times for a jug of water. We were hurried at our table for the next customer and there was an uncomfortable pressure to add a hefty tip on the card machine. Won’t be rushing back at £80 for three!

Wow! We had a family meal with 2 small children here whilst on holiday and really cannot fault it. The pizzas were delicious and the boys enjoyed their pasta. Also the sundaes were incredible. All the staff were really friendly including the chefs and I would say for the quality and freshness of the food it's really good value for money. A must if visiting Beccles!

We haven’t lived in Beccles long but decided to pop in for dinner on a whim with our children after seeing some signage down by the river. The staff were immediately friendly and attentive as we walked in, even my 7 year old commented on how lovely the young man that was serving our table was!! The food was delicious and fresh, the calamari was some of the best we’ve had in some time and the pizzas were beautiful. So glad we stumbled on this little gem, we’ll be back again (the kids were already planning our next visit while we were eating our food!). Thank you to all the staff for a lovely experience.

It was a Wednesday and very quiet, a little background music might of helped. The pizzas were excellent, not a bad choice of wine and beer to wash it down with. The Lemon tiramisu passed the test just lacked a little sparkle. Then the coffee , black Americano absolutely terrible, I could see the bottom of the cup . I did point it out to our server who suggested next time I come I should ask for a stronger one ….. personally I think he should of offered one immediately. (Maybe he was new) I still tipped(even on the coffee) and wonder why a restaurant would spoil a good experience for the sake of redoing it ?

This was our first visit but will not be our last. Delicious food and amazing service.

We placed an order for 4 pizzas , salad and meat balls for a pizza hater . Just wow ! The pizzas were so good and the quality of food was off the scale excellent . Meat balls were in a creamy sauce and the pizza lovers were all drooling over them and had to have a taste. The salad was fresh and delicious

Atmosphere a bit lacking because we were eating very early with children. Child friendly place with high chair and child menu. Pizzas very good and great service.

Perfect Pizza, what else could you want the great service was just a bonus. An update the local area now receives great pizza and other tasty meals like the crispy calamari delivered so Beccles just about has everything it needs. Always a go-to for my family with a great selection of food, drinks, and that lemon tiramisu! Always a top recommendation from me and I know of several recommended that have listened and enjoyed themselves so if you are in the area and enjoy pizza come here.

Great to see the best pizza in East Anglia now offers local delivery. Just ordered and arrived piping hot and can confirm the pizza tastes great at home too!

Used to love coming here pre-covid but when we went yesterday, we left feeling slightly disappointed. The food wasn’t as good as we remembered but that may be us. The pizza sauce was a little acidic and was quite soggy on the base which was a shame. The pasta was ok but nothing special. The desserts were the main issue. We both ordered a brownie and they were more the texture of a dry cake than the gooey brownie we expected. My partner ate his but I couldn’t personally. I did mention it to the gentleman on front of house but he didn’t seem overly impressed with the criticism and even brought the dessert back out and pulled it apart in front of me to show me he thought my opinion was wrong. I never even asked for money off for it, simply wanted to let them know. My partner did find a hair on his ice cream but he’s not a fussy person so he just dealt with it. The main let down however was the service. The young waiter was brilliant, especially considering the awful way the owner was treating him in front of customers. If you want to give feedback to your staff you should probably do it out of customer ear shot as it made us quite uncomfortable. We even overheard (what I assume to be) the two owners/managers gossiping about the waiters performance behind the bar (a few feet from our table). Very unfortunate as we used to love this place but probably won’t be back in a hurry.

This is truly a gem of beccles, the food was to an absolutely fantastic standard it was wonderful! Paul and Paul are so welcoming they made sure that we had everything we needed and the staff was also attentive making sure we had drinks and checking that everything was OK, the menu has lots of choice and there really is something for everyone would highly recommend please get yourselves down to Oak Fired 😊

Absolutely highly recommended for pizza's!! We ordered 14 takeaway pizzas as we were staying at the Three Rivers Campsite, its 9 mins down the road, they were extremely accommodating for a large order and pizza's were fabulous!!

Had the opportunity to enjoy the most delicious and authentic Italian pizzas when we visited Oak Fired at the Royal Oak. Fantastic dough and epic tasting tomato sauce on these wonderfully fired pizzas, better than I had Italy to be honest, no wonder this great team continues to win awards. Relaxed atmosphere (and some amazing gin selections) help it all go down very well indeed. Can't wait to return 🍕⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Top notch authentic Neapolitan pizza

Had dinner here the weekend before last. It's situated in Beccles Town, a short stroll away from car parking (5 mins) It's a clean, welcoming resturant with friendly staff. The pizza's look, smell delicious (coming from an Italian background myself). But I did find the pasta dish was quite bland and the calamari very chewy. Apart from that, we recieved excellent servise.

Great pizza but was a pain to get through to pre order just kept getting the answer machine. The pizza was worth persevering though.

New restaurant to eat at as new to the area. Both of us agree the pizzas were best we have eaten for long time - friendly service, reasonable prices, all round excellent. Highly recommend 👍

Food was good, although the young lad serving got our order wrong twice. We visited early at 5pm when they had just opened so we were the only people in the restaurant so no atmosphere. Bit frustrating that with 6 adults and a baby booked in we were seated at 2 small tables which meant we had to keep moving things off the table to allow space. Hopefully this is not standard, and the pizza was delicious so worth a visit or at least get a takeaway.

Yummy, yummy!!! Excellent service, delicious pizza! We came as a family of five. We had dough balls as a starter and a pizza each. This is definitely the best pizza we’ve ever eaten in England! The owners are friendly. We enjoyed a little chat with them about the flag on the wall near the door and how one of them became a pizzaiolo.

Had a takeaway, very fine pizzas, dough balls and cheesecake. Friendly service. Beautiful tasty tomatoes that you rarely get in England. Reckon this would pass muster in Italy though the locals might balk a bit at the prices...

Great food and service as usual. Fantastic that they offer a gluten free, cheese free pizza too. And the homemade puds. We sent a photo of the cheesecake to our daughter who lives away. Without sharing her exact words, she was not happy & well jealous. Really worth a visit. Icebreaker beer too! Thankyou.

The service here is amazing, and the pizza match up really well! If you’re looking for a quality pizza I would recommend here in a heart beat. My only gripe was the puddings did not live up to the same standard as the pizzas.

Had a lovely evening at the Oak Fired tonight. Honestly it’s the best food I’ve had at a restaurant for some time. The starter of crispy Calamari was just superb. The pizzas are something else, so fresh and super tasty, I would highly recommend this restaurant. Great drink choice and friendly staff. Too mark guys.

U can only get pizza in side no chips but they will do chips if you takeaway don't make sense then they wonder why these places don't make money

Perfect pizzas, friendly owners. I've visited almost every week for 4 years (as at Nov 21) and enjoyed best ever pizzas consistently. Cooking in an Oak fired oven gives an unbeatably distinctive flavour.

Havent been out in the area before and decided to try Oak Fired for last minute birthday meal, so glad we did! Lovely atmosphere, extremely welcoming, and our server was beyond attentive. Food was amazing and fresh. Went with a toddler, who also loved the food, but what what made the evening for us was how accomodating and friendly the staff were towards her which isnt often the case with restaurants. Will be definitely be going back and would recommend highly.

One of the best pizzas I have had …authentic, .juicy, fresh and all ingredients as described , no plastic ham here! Paul is a lovely congenial host and waiting staff were excellent .

What a fabulous restaurant.We had an amazing meal Saturday lunchtime where we had a variety of ages in our small group and one elderly member of our party was in a wheelchair. The staff were so helpful in assisting us that nothing was too much trouble.

Good food, reasonable prices. When we arrived the guy knew our booking which was professional. All good. Pizzas were tasty only downfall the toppings kept falling off. Good parts Now the reason it's a 3 is because the chef doing the pizzas was constantly staring at us mainly my missus as she was eating which isn't professional and I really didn't like it. Nor did she. Also the waiter was good but kept lingering around which was distracting. We were planning on staying for dessert but because of this we ended up leaving and going to tesco.

Amazing woodfired pizzas! Recommend trying the excellent prosecco - staff friendly & efficient. Very covid safe - you will need to wear a facemask when visiting. 5 stars!

The food is good. The staff are good. But two things really bookended this experience in a negative way. On entry we were told a mask must be worn (even though this isn’t law) and that they could provide one, although said ‘we charge for this, but we’ll see what we can do for you’. And at the end of the meal we asked to take the remaining pizza home, and weren’t told (which we should have been) that they charge for pizza boxes. Which is ridiculous! Bring a mask and eat all your food and you’ll be fine.

Americana and goats cheese pizza. Really good pizzas, beer and cocktails. Recommended.

Best pizza we’ve had for a long time. Almost went the round the corner to Prezzo then discovered this little gem. If you moor your boat in Beccles marina this is a 2 minute walk away.

You must try the doughballs here as they are the best! We had the capra and mega pepperoni which were great. The pizza bases were lovely as were the toppings. Too full for desert but will try next time. Friendly staff.
