The best Turkish food I have had in a long time. We had the Shish House Special for 4 people. It was full of flavour, fresh and huge!!! It came with Bulger wheat and rice, with roasted tomatoes salad and breads. Everything made fresh to order and the service was fantastic. We will definitely be coming back again.

Absolutely disgusting!!! We had a takeaway it was stone cold, and didn’t taste right at all. We called them they were perfect said they will refund if we taken the food back so we did. When we got there she didn’t offer fresh food to be cooked or anything she just chucked £20 at me. Got police there too. Very very rude not respect at all Definitely won’t be recommending to anyone

An airy space,with nice views over oulton broad.friendly staff and fresh cooked tasty food,with good portions. It was lunch time when we visited and quiet,so can't really comment on the atmosphere as we were the only ones there at the time.

I cannot recommend Shish enough, it is well worth a visit. Celebrated a big birthday yesterday lunchtime and the restaurant was ideal. The interior was well decorated. Extremely clean. The views are brilliant overlooking the Oulton Broad Marina. The place relaxing. The food was very good. Well cooked and great flavours. Two courses each for four persons. about 8 drinks £151. The staff were friendly and helpful.

This place is absolutely amazing. I take my daughter here all the time and we both absolutely love the food. The service is 💯 and I would eat here everyday if I could lol we have the chicken shish every time and it is always delicious!! Thanks to all the staff here 👌👌👌 10/10

Having eaten all week at a local hotel I was keen to try something else . I could see Shish from my hotel and called in without a reservation . Staff were exceptionally friendly and the food ….. Superb ! highly recommended .

Absolutely beautiful meal, the atmosphere is buzzing and the staff really add to this. Being able to see in the kitchen and the meats being barbecued is a unique experience. The views outside, especially on a night like tonight, were amazing. We all had a different meal and we could not of asked for anything more. A really beautiful restaurant which is obviously cared about. Highly recommend!

Had a brilliant night in the Shish - a stop for us Ona weeks broads cruising. Couldn’t fault the welcome, service, food, drinks. Just a great experience. Sorry for being the last to leave but that’s because we didn’t want to! We will definitely be back and would recommend to anyone who likes Turkish food. Thank you for giving us a great night! We just came back from such a wonderful meal for my birthday. I’m also visiting from Australia where I have missed Turkish food and this really hit the spot! Huge portions, great service, clean, has great views and I currently can’t move I ate so much because the food was so good! Strongly recommend!

Wonderful experience. The staff were all so friendly and helpful. They guided us in our choice of menu and answered all our questions. Complimentary bread, onions and dips to start. Main courses came with rice and salad. The food was delicious, freshly cooked and full of flavour. Wine was excellent too.Beautiful views and lovely new furnishings. We will certainly be returning and recommending to friends.

Thought we would give this restaurant a try as came highly recommended. Service was excellent, staff very friendly. Thought food was a little expensive but portions were good. A very nice complementary appertizer was served and then we shared a platter for two. This was of ample portions, in fact too much meat really but a little disappointed that it all tasted the same, was expecting more spicy flavours. We took the left overs home for the dog. Restaurant very nice inside, but I'm going to be critical and say lighting a bit too bright and very noisy on this occasion.

Got to say WHOW , the food at SHISH overlooking the water was superb and the staff super attentive and knowledgeable. Valentines night was super with a lovely atmosphere. We were so pleasantly surprised as we hated the sister restaurant Antalya, which lacked atmosphere With poor food.and service. We definitely will be regulars and revisit overlooking the lake .

Decided to try this restaurant as it looks fantastic from outside and we were not disappointed. From the moment you walk through the door you get that lovely welcoming feeling from the staff especially Megan the waitress. We both had such a lovely meal and it actually felt like we'll were on holiday abroad. You can watch your food behind cooked in the kitchen from your table which is a nice touch and the chefs were very friendly. Overall this is a great place to treat the wife and we really enjoyed meeting the owner and other staff. Thank you we will be back.

I visited this restaurant whilst on holiday about three years ago when was Anatolia. It was so good we went five times in one week! Once you find somewhere good why go somewhere else and be disappointed? I moved here recently and was upset to find the restaurant closed. Then someone told me had move to Oulton Broad and was now called Shish We booked and I was so excited to go. Same people so should be good right? I ordered the Feta salad, grilled Halloumi and hummus and bread as I am a veggie. John ordered mushrooms to start followed by chicken wings. I must say waiting staff were lovely so no criticism of them, just the food. The food arrived. My large fabulous salad had changed to a finely chopped small bowl resembling a tabbouleh and the feta instead of being lovely and crumbly was like a block of soap. The halloumi had changed from rich puffy grilled slices in abundance to four meagre pieces of not very good halloumi. The hummus needed more Tahini and garlic and was not very exciting at all. Bread good. Johns mushroom were very good and as these came firstly I was hopeful until above. This came with complimentary grilled slices of onion which were nice but I am pretty sure I could taste meat so probably on same grill which for a veggie is horrid and a no no His chicken wings were okay but the rice with it was pretty strange in taste. This came with a few boring bits of grilled vegetables. It was a thoroughly unsatisfying unedifying meal All main courses were £23 which even with cost of living is not cheap. Staff were lovely - so disappointed will not be going back

First time visiting and won’t be the last. Food was really good quality and the staff were friendly and attentive (special mention to Kirsty who looked after us). We ordered the Shish special platter for 2 which covered 3 of us with a side of halloumi.

Food was excellent 👌 sharing platter absolutely amazing. And the desserts are homemade very tasty. Service is excellent, atmosphere and the view gives you the feeling of being away somewhere in Mediterranean.

Visiting the area so searched for well reviewed restaurants. We hadn't booked but the friendly staff fitted us in and couldn't have been more attentive.The food was absolutely delicious and the wine ( very fussy about my wine) was very good quality. It well deserves it's review rating and I wish more restaurants provided such excellent friendly service

First upon arrival, we was greated by the welcoming and lonely staff. Throughout the night the staff and team was incredibly helpful and kind to us. Complementary food was given with waiters and waitress always on hand for more drinks. The food was incredible I had the hot meze and tavuk sis. Both was really tasty. Prices were reasonably priced and had no issue with the bill. Will definitely come again, highly recommend.

Went here with my family for an early Christmas meal and its safe to say the food was absolutely amazing. The service was equally as good. The chicken shish was perfectly seasoned and desserts are homemade too. Would highly recommend this Turkish cuisine to anyone in the area. Restaurant beautifully decorated too!

Great venue overlooking the Broad (used to be Balti Raj) . Food is genuine Turkish, Need to survey the wide ranging menu...(may need advice if first time visit.) You can see it being cooked...The mezzy was great.

After ordering Tavuk Kanat online, we decided that we have to dine-in in this place. The restaurant may not look so appealing from outside, but what a fantastic place inside. I love the decor at every corner, even in the toilet! The staff were nice and friendly. We were sat by the window overlooking the lake opposite which was the best spot, I guess. It was a busy Friday night, the restaurant was full and our food understandably came a little slow. The food was fantastic we ordered house sish kebab and some side dishes which we forgot to take photos of because we were too busy enjoying the food. No need to book a flight to Turkiye for turkish food, I would highly recommend this place and would go back if I happened to be in the area again.

Good food but very very expensive for what is was. Best part of twenty quid for a kebab without any salad is too much. I won't be going back I'm afriad.

Fabulous, delicious food with very informative, attentive, friendly staff. Only downside was when the bill was presented, VAT was added so we got an extra charge of nearly £37 added to our bill which is a rather a cheeky way of not increasing prices in a devious way. We obviously paid the bill but pointed out that normally VAT is not added to the bill but it is already included in the menu price. When we checked the menu details of VAT to be added was mentioned albeit in small print! Could not fault food or staff so gave it a five star rating but owners need to be aware of this dissatisfaction of this particular party of customers.

Meant to do this rave review at the time! This was a really lovely restaurant. Great service from Kirsty and all the team. Humus, baba ghanoush and vine leaves all delicious. My note says we had Hot Meze and a bottle of Pebble Bay Zinfandel. There were several added extras like dips and bread and a very tasty pomegranate sauce. Quality touches like fabric tablecloths and iced water with a big slice of lemon, more than many restaurants offer. The restaurant was stylish, contemporary and simple with great views and on a very warm evening we sat near a terrace door so it was nice and airy. Attractive lighting and a good ambiance with smiling and charming service. Really great evening and I’d highly recommend if you’re in the area and like Turkish/med-style cooking.

We made a last-minute booking and weren't disappointed. Great food...the calamari starter is one of the best we've ever had, so can definitely recommend that. For our main we chose the mixed kebab sharer for two...prices were more London than Lowestoft, but we took home enough uneaten food for lunch the next day, so can't grumble about the quantity of food and everything we ate was very tasty and perfectly cooked. There were quite a few cheap meats like chicken wings (never had those in a kebab) in our dunner and we'd rather have had less of those and more tender whole cuts of chicken and lamb as wings are so fiddly to eat politely...so def not a first date meal. The kitchen was very open plan and we liked seeing how clean it was and how often the staff washed their hands. Great views over the water, which they hardly mention in their blurb. The windows are huge and it was lovely to have a nice view from our table. Great staff...they were busy and it was hot, but they couldn't have been kinder or more attentive...some of the best service we've had anywhere! Everyone we spoke to, young or mature, female or male really added to our happy, holiday vibe, which helped make our meal even more enjoyable! Thanks to all there, we'd definitely recommend Shish to friends and family.

Lovely little gem on Oulton broads! We stopped in for lunch a little later in the afternoon and they were more than happy to accommodate us with friendly attentive service. Very good friendly staff. Lovely warm restaurant nice ambience. Good buzz and plenty of other diners. We had the hot mixed mezze at £20 for 4 people which was definitely good value for money. Sadly the falafel was dry and over cooked but the calamari was perfect. I enquired if the hummus was mass produced or home made. Sadly it was mass produced which is a shame as I would have hoped it would be homemade as it's a Turkish staple which is in every restaurant. The main course was seasoned lamb and was absolutely gorgeous. I shared it with my son as the portion was ample. He agreed the lamb was exceptional. Service was very good and I have given a 4/5 with a point missing for the sloppy cooking of my starter and the hummus from a catering jar. I would recommend the restaurant and I will go again when I am next in the area Nick

Such good food, and on Valentine’s evening there were some balloons, table decor and a free pud! Four of us shared the meze starter, with some rosé wine. So tasty! Then we had mains, a mix or lamb, chicken and prawns in a dish with side rice. We were well looked after by several waitresses throughout and the atmosphere was lovely. Our table overlooked the broad. We’ll be back for sure!

The service was exemplary and the food sublime. Cannot fault this traditional Turkish restaurant and the chef came around all the tables to check that everyone was happy. Looking forward to going again as is my new local eating house.

Outstanding service, really nice atmosphere. Together with amazing food we enjoyed every single moment. Staff really cares about the guests and in my opinion they ate perfect hosts. It might be paradise for meat lovers, all of them - lamb or chicken were cooked to perfection. Grilled onion with bread and sauces... WOW!!! Turkish red wine also recommended.
