What a beautiful meal. We came here for my birthday dinner. The complimentary breads and dips are lush, bread is really warm with fresh chilli sauce and yogurt. We got the mixed hot starters, such good quality food. Prawns were delicious. I then got a mixed shish, I don’t know where they get their meat from or what they do to it prior to cooking but I’ve never had such soft, tender and flavorful meat, both the lamb and chicken were amazing. Service is great, lovely waiter. Drinks came in a few minutes if that. It is on the more expensive side but I’d definitely say it’s worth it. Lovely evening! Thank you

On the site of the old Wheatsheaf pub. This is a beautifully decorated restaurant. Very popular, especially at lunchtimes. The food is freshly cooked to order and is delicious. Mainly Turkish inspired dishes. Complimentary warm flatbreads and dips are given as appetisers. Service is exemplary. The staff are attentive without being intrusive. Owners greet regulars and newcomers in a very friendly manner. Complimentary drinks are always offered at the end of your meal when you ask for the bill. Bills do not include a service charge. We have visited several times now, and never been disappointed. We always come away happy.

We have been visiting Taz for over a year on pretty much a weekly basis and have never had a bad meal or experience. The staff are lovely, the food is incredible and it’s always a great experience. We also have takeaways, collection usually 20-25 minutes and the food is always amazing!

We had a surprisingly delightful experience on our first visit to Taz. The steak and the lokum kebab were outstanding. The atmosphere perfectly complements the cuisine. The entire staff treats you with elegant hospitality. I highly recommend Taz for any occasion.

Our dinner at Taz was an unforgettable experience. The sharing plate was a brilliant way to start, with a variety of delicious dishes that catered to all tastes, including gluten-free options. The lamb and chicken mains were cooked to perfection, and the accompanying fondue added a unique touch. The staff were exceptionally friendly and made us feel right at home. We would highly recommend Taz to anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience. And the best part? The bill was surprisingly low for such a high-quality meal and excellent service!!

Loved this place. Food, service, music and price was good. Every staff member said Hello or welcome. Even the manager came round introduced himself and welcomed the customers. Definately going back x

Amazing fresh tasty food and super friendly service.

I was in today with my family & my two year old, and I just wanted to say what a great experience we had. Everyone was so great with my daughter (being quite active) and also the food, atmosphere and the staff could not have been better or more attentive. Also, the complimentary drink at the end was a really nice touch especially for my nan who loves a Tia Maria! We wouldn’t be going anywhere else in Essex for a Turkish from now on!

Talk has become our favourite place to eat. Great food and the service is amazing.

Table service was excellent. Food was very nice and toilets clean. Only negative is and is an important one. There wasn't anyone at the entrance to greet us and register our pre booking. First time there and initially was at a lost as to where to sit as it's a small bar at the entrance and was perplexed as to where we sit to eat. We had stood there for 7 mins like a pair of lemons, and then decided to wander and notice the restaurant tucked at the back and it was very bustling with table staff but we had to interject during their hectic moment to ask if we sit there and we have a booking. Never had to do that before at any eatery establishment.

Came in for lunch, the manager and team are so nice. Very attentive. They seem to come to your table at the right times between each course. The lunch deal has a lot of choices. The food is very fresh and well presented. The place is decorated very nicely. The lighting creates the perfect ambience. Thank you very much. I will definitely be returning.

I've been to most Turkish restaurants in Essex and have to say this one is a cut above the rest! Food is on point great menu! Drinks are lovely and refined again great drinks menu! All the staff here go above and beyond to look after you, my girls of 2 and 3 can be a handful at times to say the least 🤣 they loved the guys here and had them wrapped around there little finger bless them, the played with staff and they adored our girls, I can't speak highly enough about everybody at Taz, thank you so much from our girls my Mrs and I ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I had lunch with my auntie, her 97 year old mother in-law my wife, and my son. we all had something different but loved every mouth full. I had lamb, which just melted in my mouth. I have never experienced lamb like that before.

We came to TAZ on family recommendation and what a lovely experience this was. A very friendly welcome and prompt service as soon as we were seated. Although we ate from the lunch menu at a very reasonable price, the portions and presentation of every dish was excellent and tasted as good as they looked. Service and attention from the staff was just right. A great place to eat and spend a leisurely hour or three as you like. Thanks to all at TAZ. 👍😊

My daughters baby shower the staff were all so lovely.. very attentive and welcoming. They gave us a table for the presents and balloons .a very personal experience so thank you . The food was gorgeous and a huge selection to choose from. Definitely be going again.

Very nice but expensive Turkish restaurant. Decor is a little over the top but it makes a change. Staff were great, there's plenty of parking and the food is good.

This is a very nice place with friendly helpful staff. If I was to find fault it would be that it is a bit pricey and the inside is a bit dark on a beautiful sunny afternoon.

The food is delicious and the service is excellent. Plenty options to choose from on the menu and the decor is lovely! My personal favourites are the starters: garlic mushrooms, shrimp and sucuk. The main I got was the adana which was tasty too!

Unbelievably good in every aspect of The dining out experience .. The celebration was my best friends 60th Birthday and Taz takes dining out to a different level for sure. After our warm welcome on arrival we were invited to have drinks or cocktails in the beautiful garden whilst waiting for our table .. The choice of delicious cocktails was plentiful .. I recommend ‘The Taz Special Cocktail’ which was beyond special! After the garden experience, we were seated at a table for 8 in this beautiful restaurant and chose an array of starters which everyone at the table raved about and by the time our main courses arrived we were already dazzled by the ‘Taz Experience’. The main courses were unbelievably good too .. the drinks kept coming and the service was absolutely impeccable from the super warm, friendly, attentive staff .. To top it off Taz himself came to our table to check we were enjoying the food, service and the atmosphere, and upon my praise and comments of the fabulous Taz Special cocktail, he sent me one over ‘on the house’ ! what an absolute gentleman .. who clearly knows everything about first class food, service and atmosphere! Taz we had the best night in your restaurant .. Thankyou to you, your fabulous staff and your brilliant Chef’s .. This was my second visit to Taz and it is most definitely the best restaurant I have ever been to by far xx if I could give a 10 star plus review I would … Highly Recommend.. I had a meal at Taz’s for my son’s 18th we had a very large group of 30 people. The staff were absolutely amazing and the food was beautiful. Everyone had a great time and we will definitely be coming back again. Thank you to all the staff!

Excellent service and tasty food, the perfect combination. We like sharing different vegetarian starters using the flatbread for dipping. Also there's a reasonable choice on the lunch menu.

Fantastic experience recently at Taz, for a group meal. On arrival, we were promptly greeted and as part of our party was already there, we were shown outside and offered drinks which were served quickly. Our table was presented on time and our waiter was attentive throughout the meal. Our food was delicious, presented well, and no one within the group had a bad word to say about any of their 3 courses. I personally had the lamb chops and ribs for the main, they were tasty and succulent. Post meal, we enjoyed sitting outside in the sunshine, enjoying drinks in the lovely gardens. Again, service was never an issue even though we weren't in the main area. All of the staff here were wonderfully attentive, engaging and enjoyed talking and mixing with us when invited too. A credit to the area, well worth a visit.

We were very happy with everything & would come again. Food was really nice, service was excellent & the atmosphere was very cosy & we received the warmth you would expect to receive from a top of the range dinning restaurant in Mediterranean/ Turkish culture. Happy to have found this spot!

We visited Taz for my sister’s 21st birthday and had the best dining experience I have ever experienced in the UK. It was perfect and all members of our party (8 people) could not fault it. Brilliant food with great service and an amazing atmosphere. All the staff are very friendly and the owner made us feel very welcome. The sigara boregi starter was delicious and I also recommend the baklava and raspberry cheesecake desserts. Will definitely be visiting here again.

Another fabulous lunch at Taz. The food was fantastic, service was impeccable from our waiter Gokan. All the staff here cannot do enough for you. This was our third visit and it never disappoints.

My wife had booked here for Father's day and the restaurant ambience and the choice of food was great. We had great starters and the main course was gr8 as well.

What a place 👏 🙌 from the start had a nice warm welcome once they seated us we ask if they had a bigger table and they moved us to a lovely table and considering it was just me and my wife that was so kind. Food and drinks was amazing and staff are so attentive. 👌 can't recommend this place enough. We will be back for sure

My children took me to Taz for Father's day. The food was lovely and the staff and manager were very friendly. Between us we had olives, bread and dips, rice, lamb shank, mixed shish and Adana shish served with salad. The restaurant itself has ample parking and as very nice inside. They also have a pleasant outdoor space. Should have taken some photos but was too busy talking! Will definitely visit again.

TAZ never disappoints! Celebrated many special occasions here including Father’s Day today. Food was delicious as always! The lobster spaghetti was unreal & the new ferrero rocher dessert! I could eat it 10 times over! Friendly staff who make a special effort with your kids which is always a lovely touch. Will be back again soon I’m sure!

Excellent Turkish Food, we had the Chicken Beyti and Chicken Shish from the lunch menu. Good portions for a good value lunch menu. Also had the rice pudding that was sweet and delicious as well. Will be back again! Excellent service from the waiting staff and the manager. The restaurant style is opulent and inviting.

My wife and i popped in to investigate after going out for a drive. We came across Taz. We were amazed and just how amazing and beautiful the restaurant was. They had a very large and reasonably priced lunch time 3 course menu. The food was amazing! (Really really amazing) we where stuffed I nearly did not order the tiramisu for dessert, however I’m so glad that I did as it was so light and delicious. Brilliant service! Will definitely be coming back again!

Served by Seniye today. My first visit here and have regularly eaten at a fair few great Turkish restaurants across London and Essex. Well I must say this is the pinnacle! For years we compare the complete package every time we go to a different one to Sheesh Chigwell. Not no more, we will always compare to this standard! Had my anniversary 14 years married meal. The server and staff were incredible! The most unusual part at the end the bill was given and when paying it’s was passed straight to the total of the bill and no option to tip the amazing service we had. I asked her to let me enter the amount so she gets the credit she deserves. Unusual as usually they automatically add the service charge on or leave on the “gratuity” section on the card reader so this was a nice surprise that no assumptions were made. We will visit again 100%!!

One of the nicest locations I've ever landed. Nothing on the table was bland, and the food absolutely delicious. My birthday meal was a complete success. I'm grateful to my spouse for starting my birthday off right by taking me to Taz for a surprise lunch date. It's highly recommended to try the dragonfruit martini, the creamy garlic mushrooms, and the breads with the spicy garlic sauce.

"WOW" is the only word I can use for this restaurant! From the second we walked in to leaving the premises everything was amazing.. the service, the food, the atmosphere. Staff were so attentive, clearing things off the table when finished and refilling glasses when low, but not to the extent of being too much. Portions were generous and the food was perfect. Recommend the calamari starter, we have never had calamari that tasted so good or was cooked so perfectly! Will definitely be making regular visits. Thankyou to all at TAZ 😊

We visited last Wednesday for lunch with friends who have been before. The venue is large, lavishly appointed and decorated in a modern style. Marble everywhere and gold accents. It’s not our personal style or taste but nicely done and decoration taste is purely subjective. We can’t and don’t all like the same thing. We were visited by the owner while we were having pre lunch drinks and he is a friendly and charismatic man. He greeted our companions like old friends and welcomed us to his establishment warmly. The food was tasty. I had the delightful chicken liver starter. It was well spiced and cooked perfectly. It was the highlight of my meal. A lamb Shish followed and again was deliciously seasoned and cooked perfectly. No room for pudding. The service we received from our waiter was 5 star. He is a star! Attentive, knowledgeable, kind and courteous. The owner checked in a couple of times and was buzzing around his domain ensuring every customer was experiencing a perfect lunch. We had a lovely time. Well done all. We will return and we will recommend to friends and family.

Lovely food, lovely atmosphere and lovely staff. The experience here was amazing, the waiters/ waitresses were attentive and chatty, the service was quick and everything was delicious. Truly the highlight was the amazing staff and relaxed and upscale experience. The chicken shish was nice and tasty, and the smell of the food will transport you to turkey with that charcoaled aroma. The falafel was also good, with a nice crisp and delicious flavour with the hummus. The other meals that my family had were delicious too , and everything was reasonably priced for the quality and portion size. For lunch, 2 courses for £16.95 left me satisfied completely, and the complimentary pita was nice to have. Oh, and the coffee is good too. At the end, owner taz came to shake our hands and greet us and even gave us complimentary drinks as it was my dad's birthday. They also provided ice cream for the birthday with a candle, which was really the cherry on top of this experience - the owner is just as lovely as the staff and generous. Go here for great food and great service, in a nice location. It's well worth it :)

Lovely meal here for my lickle grandsons forth bday and it was just great my lamb chops were juicy and flavoursome the scallop starter was ultra tasty good house wine and our lickle sonny's cake was brought out on cue now its not cheap here our bill came to a shade under £180 but it was very , very , good !!

An absolutely beautiful evening spent with my partner for my birthday. The restaurant is beautiful with a lovely ambiance of classy but relaxed. The food was delicious and the staff were so attentive and lovely. A truly special night. We will be back. Thank you all for making a wonderful memory.

What a wonderful place. We went for my friend's birthday. From the minute we arrived we were smiling. Everyone made us feel so welcome. The service was brilliant. Nothing was too much trouble and it all seemed so natural...nothing forced. Oh and the food....really good....really really good. And not seen as.much as I would like nowadays but everyone was dressed smartly...no jeans.
