Just had a couple of fish ,flesh was watery and a slightly strange taste contacted them regards this ,they apologised, said they only use fresh fish ,don't know how long it had been on ice in the trawler and the fish Quay but nit the best ,they did offer to replace the the fish. hopefully this was a one off .

Just been in for the first time in over a year and what a change. The fish was fresh, the batter was golden and crispy (no soggy bits), the chips were also freshly cooked. The fried battered halloumi was out of this world. The staff were friendly and efficient. Definitely going back to try all the other things they had on display.

It took 13/4hurs to deliver with just eat when food arrived it was stone cold £37 for 4 fish 1 chips 1 peas excuse no drivers will never order again

Went in this evening with my 2 daughters the woman behind the counter was extremely rude very abrupt. The rest of the male staff were friendly this has really put me off from coming again.

Just had a kebab for my lunch, it was so tasty and lots of it, the place to go for your kebabs, you won't be disappointed

i had kebab with nan bread, sausage and chips with gravy today, it was delicious great portion size and great service will definitely be going again.

I got fish chips last night the fish was nice and fresh, the chips are a perfect amount for the price. Service was great, very friendly, will definitely be back again

Used to be a really nice chippy not anymore. Large chips was definitely not a large portion you used to get. Large gravy was half the size. Skimping on portion sizes but charging higher prices. Chips was also like left overs. Will not be visiting again. Edited due to responding to owner I think you need to take a look at the review's again because there is plenty with similar comments. If this is your standard’s what is shown in the picture then you won’t see the problem.

Called in tonight. While very busy found service was good and the food excellent. Not local to the area but if I'm that way again will definitely be bobbing in again.

Shocking service. Ordered online and instantly said it was ready for collection by pickup driver so the order couldn’t be cancelled, and then after an hour of waiting called up to be told it hadn’t even been started yet but that it’d be the next delivery out , 45 mins later called again and they’d taken the phone off the hook. Currently waiting for 2 hours and still can’t cancel my order as they’ve said it’s ready but haven’t handed it off to delivery driver. Disgusting.

2nd time I have ordered delivery and they have forgotten my drink. I tried to ask if the driver was still nearby to deliver it and was asked to hole then they hung up the phone!

I ordered 2 battered cod. It’s was the worst fish I’ve tasted. It’s was 90% batter , 10% fish. Will never order from here again.

Awful. Sausage was cremated and inedible - the worst I have ever seen. Phoned them and apparently that’s how they cook it🤷🏻‍♀️ as for the fish? Spent about 10 minutes trying to find it within the mass about of batter. Never again

In this day and age what place only takes cash? I can't comment on the food as I couldn't get any as like most people these days a rarely carry cash. For that reason the service is poor.

Would give a zero if I could. Overpriced and absolutely disgusting quality. Threw a raw chicken burger in the bin alongside the undercooked chips I paid almost £8 for!

Personally I think it's daylight robbery charging £1.20 for a muffin.... If you want to have a proper meal, may as well remortgage your house. I'd be ashamed to call yourself a chippy.

Really quite appalling. I ordered cod in batter, which was 90% batter and perhaps 10% fish, and was over cooked and rubber in texture. The only thing good about the place was the chips, otherwise it would have got one star. Unfortunately, will not be going back.

It’s a nice chippy, but they put the prices up recently. £6 for chips cheese and gravy, I’d personally go up the road and get it cheaper.

Used to be really good when previous owners were there Now miserable staff. Compared to elsewhere chips were half the portion and undercooked. In fact the staff took chips from two other portions to make a third. Shocking!

I like Taylor's! Very friendly indeed. The batter on the fish is more crispy than other places, which is a refreshing change. Great chips, nice curry and great mushy peas. Overall I'd give this place a good 8/10. I haven't had the other food on the menu, so I carn't comment. I'd certainly recommend Taylor's!

I have just finished my supper after ordering from Taylors Chippy in Bury as I am new to this area. OMG...Delivered on time! Food was Hot and the amount is high...Driver Cheerful and polite.. Would Highly Recommend to Friends and I will be ordering again 👍🏻👍🏻

If you are going to charge £2.60 for chips, can you make sure they are edible. Most of the chips were black and had to be thrown away.

Ordered online they couldn't get a driver, so food cooked and sat there going cold. They didn't ring to tell us. So we rang them waste of money paying for Justeat to deliver. Cold food NO apology Wasted £3.49 for delivery charge Had to pick food up myself Poor communication

Asked for large fish & chips, it was large batter absolutely disgusting, only went their because Whites fish was closed, Whites you’ve got no competition what so ever !!!

Just got a mixed kebab from here and it tasted like fish!! What ever the salad is in the taste of it wasn’t very nice. My kids had chips sausage and gravy and they said that was nice.

Completely messed up the order. No salt and vinegar on chips. Had to go back to the shop for cod, as they did not include it in the order. Waste of time.

To the NEW owners.! The food especially the fish bites which have very little fish in them, are mainly batter were tasteless. There was hardly any fish and the original owners food was beautiful. Won't be going here again

Was given the bit of fish that had been in the warming tray for some time - batter had gone soft and it wasnt very hot. Chips were ok though

Visited Taylor's for the first time in years not much has changed food is still lovely friendly service and portions are big only downfall (which isn't really a downfall as there's a co-op around corner) still no option to pay on card.

I'd suggest they visit a few other chippys in the area , to see what a large portion of chips looks like ......

Very disappointed. Kebab meat disgusting!! Very greasy. Not it's usual standard.End bits of the tomatoe. Pitta bread stale and burnt! Went straight to the bin.... Always spoke very hardly of this place Will not be returning.

Absolutely massive positions you won't go hungry. Very nice indeed good choice driving out of Bury taking a risk on the reviews to get to this place you won't be disappointed.

Wasn't the best ..we have been coming here for the past few years and gradually over the past few months things have changed...we ordered our usual donor kebabs ...the salad wasn't chopped properly n even the end that you throw in the bin can't decide if it was from a cabbage or lettece but it was full size in the kebab ....is it under new management because it definitely isn't the same ...I wonder if the same counter system are there yo make us still think its still the same management ...disappointed 😞

Freshly cooked to order Cod and other varieties of fish. Assorted menu for all tastes. Delicious flavoursome tasty food. Still hot when you arrive home. Reasonable prices. I'm genuinely shocked at the size of the large chips (pictured). I know some chippy's give mammoth portions so I don't mind it when a large chips isn't huge but this feels like a rip off. In the chippy's with big portions, a small would 100% be bigger than this large. On average I would say a regular portion is slightly bigger than this large. A large should obviously be a sharer portion. This is basically a portion for one. Bad value. The chips are nice enough but not so good that the portion size is justified in my opinion.

Our order has been messed up 4 times. My boyfriend waited over an hr last time, the woman forgot our sause and salad. This time she forgot our chips. The chicken is dry and tastes like it has been out for days. Never ever going here again. What an absolute joke.

Love this place, great big portions, lower prices than other hippies in the area and it's always super clean. I especially love the Halloumi salad pitta, just delicious

The haddock is amazing. Large portion of chips is not really enough for two grown men, do you'll probably want a portion each, but they are very good.

Really poor quality chewy fish and heavy over facing batter, greasy chips. Awful curry sauce too. The three of us threw most of our portions away. Not a patch on one of the other local Fish and Chip shops who were unfortunately closed at the time.

Had to go further afield than normal to get my chippy tea on a Friday as both my go tos were closed. Cash only meant my only trip to an ATM, at the nearby co-op, since lockdown. Shame. Fish was fine but batter thicker than I'm used to. They were happy to lightly batter one of them, which left it closer to average. Chips ok but the extra distance showed on crispiness.
