Fish wasn't as nice as last time...scallop was lovely and crispy

Ordered large chips at nearly 5 quid and they was no bigger than a regular portion. Fish was far too oily obviously not drained. Gravy awful . Peas was the only decent thing. Far too expansion the amount of food and poor quality.

do not get the taylors greedy kebab deal as you only get 1 medium sized kebab. you dont get 3 like it tells you on the description. very misleading.

Food was OK apart from the kebeda swimming in oil which you would not expect from something cooked on a grill telephone order not started until I arrive yet being told food would be ready in 15 minutes not the first time this has happened so more fool me

I think taylors must have changed hands. Since my last delivery quality has gone down. Also, when I selected my 6:40 delivery, I expected it to be around then. Not 45 minutes late. I doubt we'll be shopping here again.

This was amazing food. I would order extra sauce for myself next time though as for me it wasn't enough, but there large meals very filling

Used to be great fish but battered has changed as well as fish portion size massively reduced. Used to love their large haddock but last twice has been well under par. Overpriced for what you get now most went in bin

Go to Taylor’s most days for my dinner. The Chinese curry is just amazing, the staff are so friendly and helpful. My staff also use daily so we have a very varied range of there food from the kebabs to my favourite pudding and curry sauce, highly recommended and best chip shop around

Well, what can I say about the reviews that say the food is wonderful. The chips were fried and refried and I’m guessing due to the poor taste of them, whatever they are fried in needs changing. At a time when so many takeaways are in a race to the bottom with regards to quality, it’s interesting to find yet another takeaway that has reached the bottom and has carried on digging. Even our food obsessed spaniel turned his nose up at tonight’s offering. Fed the food to the bin which now wants some indigestion tablets. UPDATED DUE TO REPLY FROM OWNER. I HAVEN’T REVIEWED THE WRONG TAYLORS. YOUR SHOP IS ON THE WAY HOME FROM MY SON IN LAWS. IF I WANT A CHIPPY TEA ON THE WAY HOME IN FUTURE I WILL CALL AT WHITE FISH WHERE THEY KNOW HOW TO COOK CHIPS. EVERY PORTION OF CHIPS THAT WENT OUT WHILST I WAS WAITING LOOKED EXACTLY THE SAME - ABSOLUTE RUBBISH.

Service was chaotic, there didn't seem to be any system in place, customers all being severed out of order and lengthy queues. The manager was unapologetic and preferred to shout than accept responsibility for mixed up order system. Fish and Chips were good, but definitely not worth the loooong wait!

After reading some of the reviews I was sceptical but gave it a try anyway! Good arrived piping hot, all present & correct, very tasty indeed wouldn’t hesitate to order again although a little pricey (as most chippies are these days) but nice for a treat tea! Highly recommended

3HOURS!! Supposed to be a family treat (not cheap either) but children left waiting & waiting & waiting!! called the restaurant after 2 hours to be told the order had been done 'for ages' but they were waiting for a driver! Still took another hour which means our food had been ready & just sat there!!

Had pie and chips with gravy, they were really good, gravy was great, prompt service and the staff were great too.

Took a chance coming here and wasn’t disappointed. The staff are really friendly, the chips were spot on. I loved the fish. My husband thought the batter was a little thick, BUT the fish was good quality and they even do scallops! They do other food too so it’s hard to get a good fish with a big menu. Will defo use again!

Booked 6.40 arrived 7.40 driver was at restaurant for an hour so dont blame driver food was luke warm had 2 hungry kids shocking service. Come here every friday wont come again.

It was my first visit to Taylor Fish and Chips, and I was really impressed! The fish was perfectly crispy, and the chips were thick, soft inside, and nice and crunchy outside. Everything tasted so fresh and delicious. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, which made it even better. I’ll definitely be coming back for more!

This box isn’t big enough to tell you how good this chippy is. I’m 48 years old and I promise the fish and chips served here is THE best I’ve ever had. Big menu too! Ran by a lovely couple , although watch out for the lady boss, she’s trouble 😎

Overall high quality fish and chips at good price. only suggestion would be if I can have more+thicker batter on fish next time if I ring up?

Paid £17 for absolute garbage, waiting times are appalling staff don’t even acknowledge your there, worse chippy experience so far.

Very very awful service even for a friday night, understand its busy but the wait time is a joke. Will not be going back... ever. 30 almost 40 minute wait because they had ran out of chips.. in a chippy.

Just had a couple of fish ,flesh was watery and a slightly strange taste contacted them regards this ,they apologised, said they only use fresh fish ,don't know how long it had been on ice in the trawler and the fish Quay but nit the best ,they did offer to replace the the fish. hopefully this was a one off .

rubbish. do not use .they mess up your order then are rude to you , offer no reasonable solution . they messed up a £43 order and asked me to put a note on next time asking for an extra portion of chips !!

Just been in for the first time in over a year and what a change. The fish was fresh, the batter was golden and crispy (no soggy bits), the chips were also freshly cooked. The fried battered halloumi was out of this world. The staff were friendly and efficient. Definitely going back to try all the other things they had on display.

This order was left on my door step no knock no nothing which I’m really shocked at as normally perfect I know o can’t blame the chippy but sorry guy the food would have probably been perfect but it was left on my doorstep with no bell or knock

My Partner is a Diabetic and was first told order will be delivered within 30mins....It wasn't a cheap cost over £37.00 and had to wait over 80mins and then delivered luke warm... Not good enough.....You should say a time of delivery if you DO NOT Have enough drivers!!! REALLY DISSAPOINTED And EMBARRASED as I gave my friend a great review before I ordered.

It took 13/4hurs to deliver with just eat when food arrived it was stone cold £37 for 4 fish 1 chips 1 peas excuse no drivers will never order again
