Hidden Gem! Being from the midlands, we usually have high expectations of Indian food. I can safely say Tawa Roadside exceeded them!! The food was amazing (and authentic), good portion sizes and great service from the second we walked in! Can’t fault the guys who run this place. Their Naans are heavenly. Shout out to our waiter Taz too.

Thoroughly enjoyed a family meal here - the food was superb and the service was excellent. The decor stood out as well, adding to the authentic Indian street vibe. The experience wasn't flawless, with food arriving a bit late and a forgotten drinks order, however, the service from all the staff was thoroughly professional and more than made up for it. When everyone is this friendly, attentive and honest, mistakes are easily forgiven! I very much look forward to coming here again soon :)

Ordered from here recently and it took far too long for delivery. Over the estimated time, when I rang to see where it was, I got the generic " it's just left" very impressive as the receipt was printed after It had left somehow. What summed this all up is genuinely the bread and rice was cold, genuinely cold. This is frustrating because I had a sit down meal in here a few weeks prior and that was brilliant.

We have ordered form here for over a year as the food is amazing but the past 3 deliveries have been late and cold. When calling the restaurant we were lied to 3 times about where our food was and told in the end it can be refunded by just eat (it can’t) the way they blame each other and try get attutite to my wife was unacceptable. The vocal tone changed when I called and they tried to over sell consumer policy to a manager of a successful store himself. Very part of their customer service I diabolical and they just lie time and time again luckily I record my phone calls so if they dispute this I’ll edit it to a link on YouTube with all the interaction.

Excellent food. Was very surprised at the quality and authentic taste of almost home made Indian food. We surprised my daughter for her pre birthday celebration, travelling from Peterborough. The food was excellent and the staff were brilliant and attentive all the time. They even made a small birthday cake and that just topped our experience. Thank you TAWA and all the stuff.

Celebrating my Son’s 16th Birthday here as it’s one of his favourite restaurants. The staff were amazing as usual, very attentive and always polite: The food was delicious……definitely the most authentically Indian cuisine in this area. Thank you so much and no doubt we’ll be back soon!

Love the food and service at this place. The curries always taste fresh and different - unlike many others There are different regional dishes - Sri Lankan, Southern Indian (including Dhosa's), as well as the classic traditional ones. The tandoori prawns are huge & tasty - all of our friends we've taken there with us love the place too The staff are top notch, aswell. Mousa & Taz are legends. Booking recommended for Friday & Saturday nights

Food is excellent, really fantastic. Service is friendly, sometimes a bit slow and they should probably move away from using post-it's to write orders for reliability reasons. Modern decor and a good selection of drinks too. We don't bother with most other Indian restaurants now, none locally are as good.

We have visited TAWA ion a number of occasions. The 1/2 travel to get there is absolutely worth it. Fantastic food and great staff. reasonably priced, diverse menu that would suit every Indian food lover. 10/10 Highly recommend

Wow what an amazing place. This was our first visit to this restaurant, celebrating 2 birthdays. We were looked after extremely well. The staff were attentive, engaging, humorous and professional. The food absolutely blew us away. The quality and taste were fantastic. Thanks to ‘Dave’ aka Jay for being amazing. We will definitely be back.

First time visit for everyone in our party. The staff are amazing, very welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. Great! In particular our server jay was very friendly aswell as all the other staff. Food was really nice! We would love to return!

Our first time here as a table of 10 for a birthday celebration. The food was fresh and so tasty, but what really stood out was the service. One of the best I’ve ever come across- polite, efficient each server- nothing was too much trouble.

Nice restaurant with great staff!! Absolutely amazing with our kids. All the food was average or slightly above, I was hoping for more. Wouldn't recommend the mutton rolls but the naan was lovely. Would try again and try some other food. Note - no baby changing facilities.

Visited for the first time today with my fiancé and absolutely loved it! Food was extremely tasty and loads to choose from! Service was great, staff were friendly and we will definitely be returning and would highly recommend.

Wow! What a find this place is! Really different - a great atmosphere and vibe. The decor is quite rustic, but balanced by lovely crockery, cutlery and outstanding, friendly service by a team of excellent waiting staff in polo shirts and aprons. The food choices were great, with some of the usual suspects you’d find on a standard Indian menu, but also plenty of new exciting items. Everything was delicious! Special mention to Jay, who despite running a very busy Saturday evening service, found time to chat and laugh with us. We will be back for sure !

We have both said this was one of the best Indian meals we've ever had! And we've been lucky enough to go around the world sampling Indian food (though not India itself, sadly). We had the Samosa Chaat & Halloumi Pakora to start. Samosa Chaat was delicious. A delightful blend of spice, yoghurt & coriander. Halloumi Pakora was cooked a lovely, light, crisp batter. Very tasty but curiously, no spice at all. We then had the Biryani (with a Balti curry sauce) and Old Indian Butter Chicken. The vegtable biryani was great! Rice cooked well, not overdone & stodgy like I experience in so many other places. Good flavours, nice spice. Balti sauce was very tasty indeed. However. The Old Indian Butter Chicken. WOW!! My partner & I have rarely tasted Indian food as good as this!! It was so good, it is hard to describe. It was just the right blend of spices, tomatoes, butter. Although mild, the dish had presence, & depth, and announced itself as incredibly tasty Indian food.... food that I will be thinking about until we go again next month!! The garlic naan was very good. Not a doughy mound, like you tend to get these days. You can ask for amendments, so if you wanted tofu or veg butter, instead of chicken (or any dish, for that matter), you can. On top of this, the service was excellent!

I had the slow cooked lamb. I was up all night with diarrhea and stomach ache. I have now developed painful piles as a result. I would question the cleanliness or food preparation at the establishment. It tastes great but the aftermath was not worth it.

Was here Sat 3rd August in a party of about 15. A great variety of starters satisfied everyone.. Then all the mains came out at the same time. Nobody was left waiting. The waiting on staff were mega efficient. Running back and forth. Jay is a great ambassador for the business. He had a 6th sense when I’d want another Cobra beer….my glass was never empty. A great experience was enjoyed by all of us.. I fully recommend this great place.

The sweetest chilli paneer I have ever had amongst the 5 countries where I have tasted this dish. The Tawa crunchy veg was equally bland... Reviews of the restaurant didn't justify the taste of food..

Great food and great service, better service than I deserved actually. Got home with the takeaway, put it in the oven while we got sorted, took it out of the oven to find what looked like a dish was missing. Rang the restaurant, they sent a replacement out straight away. Turned out in my haste to get it in the oven I'd chucked one of the containers at the very bottom of the oven and it was hidden under a pizza stone. Nothing missing at all, yet they were good enough to take me at my word, and when I rang to explain, apologise, and pay for the replacement, which ended up being my lunch the next day, they were very understanding and wouldn't let me pay. Highly recommend ordering from here.

Still waiting for our Friday night takeaway after over two hours. Will not be ordering from them again! I get that it’s a Friday and they are busy but this is not acceptable.

The food here was so delicious and the portions were very generous for the price. The servers were so friendly and we felt so welcome 😊 we will definitely be returning!

This was our first visit to this restaurant and it probably won’t be the last. Food was tasty - though it could have done with being a smidge warmer (not spicy). Our only criticism was the price of the poppadoms. Bit high tbh. But we enjoyed what we all ordered without feeling stuffed to the gills afterwards.

Absolutely fantastic food. Lamb chops and Hakka paneer are a must at this place! Taz and the rest of the team were attentive, polite and professional. Everything was clean and food was given promptly. Amazing atmosphere, cool and quirky decor. If you’re just travelling by or live in the area, I cannot recommend this place to you enough. End the meal with some galab jamun. Freshly cooked. Truly divine.

Tawa is great for all ages and all occassions . Brightly decorated restaurant , friendly staff and incredible food . Despite being full , we were not crowded and got good service. As always the food was delicious and authentic. The small plates are great for a change from the traditional curry and rice , which are also available . The platters are just right for 1 person or as sharing starter for 2. Everything tastes fresh and the menu has a good variety for all tastes and ages .

The food was absolutely excellent, everyone in our party had delicious food. Portions were great, I even had some left over for breakfast tomorrow. Our Waiter, Jay, was really personable and friendly! We will definitely be back!!

We've been recommended the Tawa by many friends and it didn't disappoint. The food was excellent and the menu was varied with many things we hadn't seen before in an Indian restaurant. The soft shell crab and calamari starters were fantastic. The atmosphere was great, quite lively with people clearly enjoying themselves. The waiters were all very good, friendly, knowledgeable and helpful, especially Jay. We don't live far away so will be back very soon :-)

Attentive and polite service, flavourful food... what's not to love? I had Pani Puri to start, and Malabar Monkfish as a main; absolutely delicious! I was giggling like a madman whilst eating my Pani Puri, it's that good!

Went as a group of 7 to celebrate friends birthdays. The restaurant was full but the service was excellent. Staff looked smart and were very attentive. The atmosphere was buzzy but not too loud. I was really impressed with the food. Very tasty. Lots to choose from too. The food was presented well and I loved the different types of plates and cups for different courses. Matched the theme of the restaurant. Very funky. I took a birthday cake and the staff were very accommodating, they came out singing. Nice touch. Would definitely returned and will be recommending to friends and family.

Second visit to this truly brilliant restaurant. Went with a group of 10 friends. Restaurant was full to bursting. Not your typical Indian restaurant in decor. Service in on night was a little slow but given it was a Saturday evening with a packed restaurant this should be expected. The food was truly amazing and served piping hot to all of the group by some of the politest waiters you could possibly wish for. A truly delicious, amazing, authentic meal and at a cost which represented excellent value for money. The evening was enjoyed by the whole group all of who have never visted previousky and who will be making this their first choice for Indian in the future. Thank you all at TAWA and see you soon

Six of us went for a family meal there last night. Looks more like a pub from the outside but as soon as you walk in the beautiful smell of curry wafts through. Food was great, plentiful. We had starters and mains and some people squeezed in a desert. The menu was clear and well thought out and had a great variety. I had soft shell crab and tandoor prawn. Not a bad dish across the board. I’ve taken some photos but didn’t want to spoil the look of all dishes. My Tandoor Prawn was delicious though. Drank a mix of wine and cobra. Wine was good too. Surprisingly good selection. Service was friendly and warming. Couldn’t have done more.

Family birthday meal 17/02/24. What an amazing evening we had. Food was magnificent but on top of that, service was superb. The whole team made us feel so welcome that it was like having a personal service. The team couldn’t do enough for us. Would happily say it was a 5 star service but that is doing a disservice to them as the team were better than that. Myself and my better half have been a few times and again have always enjoyed the experience but it was a first time for other members of the family who left and were full of praise. Best Indian food around. Not greasy like some curries can be. Fresh tasting. Served properly hot. Varied menu with different dishes compared to your usual Indian. Jay served us and was brilliant - nothing was too much trouble.

An eye-catching restaurant we stopped off for dinner unsure if we'd get a table as the carpark was packed. We received a very warm welcome and were shown to our table where poppadoms and tasty dips quickly followed. Jay was awesome, providing great recommendations and attentive service. It was our first visit last night & everything was delicious. Staff super friendly & happy to help. Had a small issue with my veg samosa but very quickly rectified & taken off the bill. Car park is very busy & you need to book at weekends. Cant wait to go back & try something else.

Really great food and experience - accomodating for all

We dined at Tawa last night and the whole experience was faultless. From the moment we were greeted at the door to the moment we left, Musa and his team ensured we were always looked after. The food was incredible - both the home made lime pickle and lamb/quails scotch eggs stood out in particular however the absolute star of the show was the lamb Tawa tak-a-tak which was nothing short of stunning. Top work guys, we will be back.
