Lovely meal for valentine's day - the banquet deal on a Wednesday is excellent value for money and really good quality. The staff are really attentive and friendly. Food is delicious, served quick and the restaurant has a great atmosphere. Would recommend to anyone in the local area.

Heard many a good thing so decided to try it for ourselves whilst in the area visiting family. All the favourable reviews are well earned, fabulous food and service which should be the envy of many other restaurants. Not often I take the time to leave a review but everything about Spice Lounge deserves praise, cannot recommend highly enough.

Took a long time to take our order. Chicken tikka starter isn't very tasty. We've had better chutney selection with our poppadoms elsewhere. It was cold in the restaurant. Man kept coming up to ask how food was suggesting it was wonderful, then kept badgering us to give a fantastic review before we left. Don't think we will be going back. Average food, pushy staff.

Friendly staff, excellent service, good choice of food in the menu at a reasonable price. Food is very good. If you fancy a pudding, the choice is OK.

We decided on the banquet meal and were not disappointed, fantastic food, a generous starter, followed by large portions of mains, sides and rice/nan bread, (and doggy bags for leftovers), staff were attentive, though a little quieter than normal, but still a great place for a good value tasty meal locally, thank you

Our first time eating here. The food was very nice and they catered for my food allergies of a coeliac. The restaurant was very cold the ladies toilets even colder. The reason for the 3 stars is because one of the waiters was constantly telling us to leave a good review and constantly at the table when we were trying to eat and have a conversation, and due to it being so cold. The lady on the table next to us ate with her coat on. Will eat here again but in the summer months as it was far too cold to enjoy the evening.

First time here since moving back in to the area. Had a lovely meal and the service was first class.

Food was good but the portions were small despite a rise in prices. Also they have halved the choice of main meals so the dish I wanted had been removed. I asked the waiter and he admitted that the menu had been reduced as well as the portion size. Service was really good though.

Superb Indian restaurant, the food is always excellent and the staff are all very friendly and make you feel welcome. I get food for takeaway twice a week from here, and I have never had any problems as the food is always an excellent standard . There is a nice little restaurant area for those wishing to eat in aswell . My personal favourite dish here is lamb garlic with garlic rice. If you are a garlic lover then this dish is a real treat, but of course there are many other tasty dishes available for you to try. Prices are very reasonable and on a Monday and Tuesday you get 10% discount on takeaway aswell as a free drink. Excellent food. Excellent service and Excellent staff. Recommend 💯 %.

Have just returned from an amazing 1st visit here. There was a large party of 30+ of us and took over the whole restaurant. We all had poppadoms and chutney trays to snack on while ordering drinks. These were excellent! While drinks were flowing orders were taken. We took advantage of the Sunday menu offer. It wasn't too long before the starters came out. The food was stunning! Hot, fresh and super tasty. Every single one of us agreed on that. It was served in a timely manner by lovely friendly efficient staff. Can't fault the chef(s)they must have been non stop in the kitchen producing the most delicious amount of starters, mains, sides, rice and naan bread. The waiting staff were brilliant. So friendly and attentative. Nothing was too much trouble. The head waiter was outstanding he really is the star. I have never seen someone work so fast yet smile so brightly. I will definitely be returning here for sure. It is hard to find a place with gorgeous food and equally gorgeous service. Thanks for a wonderful evening Spice Lounge Team 💛

Visited here a couple of times now and the service and the food have been very good. The waiters are eager to serve and make the night enjoyable although you could say they are not polished they are friendly and always on hand to wait on what ever is required. I alway enjoy the food, service we have some banter and a laugh. So I would not hesitate to return for either a romantic or family meal here.

Service was great, the two gentlemen who looked after us were very attentive, they smiled lots and smelt lovely (nice aftershave). The food equally matched the service and we have left very happy and very full

Absolutely delicious food. We have eaten in and also had takeaways and not once have we had any complaints. Food is always piping hot. Our choices have included madras, chicken tikka, bhunas, various naans and rices. Excellent service too. Thank you Spice Lounge 😊

I thoroughly enjoyed my visit. Warm welcome. Intimate seating Enjoyed the flavour of my paneer starter. My main meal could have been made in someone’s kitchen - delicious. Portion size was small though. The wine was delectable - Sauvignon Blanc New Zealand. Definitely worth a repeat visit.

Ordered a takeaway which was received barely lukewarm and incredibly watery. Not only that, but the portions sizes seem to have reduced as well. We have had a good meal in the past but this was tasteless in comparison.

First taste were of the poppadoms which we thought tasted funny from the off set. Maybe old oil or something we thought. Honestly poppadoms shouldn't go that wrong! Then the onion bhajis which were half hard and stale with again the same funny taste. Mains the curry sauce was tasty but the chicken was over cooked. First time we have used this Indian and will definitely be the last. If we had dined in we would have sent it back but as we picked it up on our way home 15mins away and we have a toddler we weren't getting back in the car. Very disappointing.

A really nice restaurant. The dishes we had were full of flavour old favourites. Everyone was very friendly and service excellent. We are looking forward to trying the house specials next time.

Generally ok but tandoori lamb was very tough not very authentic

Ate here last month and all was good, really nice tandoori grill and biryani. Then ordered a masala and kharai last night, both of which came up below expectations - masala too dry, sweet and red (colouring), and the kharai had a weird taste. Didn't eat much of either. Not sure if we'll eat here again but would definitely avoid these dishes.

The best Indian in the area. Lots of amazing specialities that are super tasty. My only complaint is that the tarka dhal can be too wet, though it is extremely tasty!

Amazing service and great food to go with it. The staff including the owner Ali go above and beyond to make sure their customers have a great experience. I’m lucky to have such a great Indian restaurant and take away within 10 minutes of Shefford. It is hard to beat our local restaurants but this one has and in my opinion is our best local restaurant without a shadow of a doubt. Before lockdown we have used the restaurant on a few occasions and during lockdown have had take aways, on every occasion the food has been great and great service to go with it.

Absolutely outstanding! We discovered this gem a few months ago. We went with the family. Then back again a few weeks later. Both times the food was second to none! The service is brilliant. They are all so friendly and welcoming! You wait a little longer for your food while dining in, but the wait is so worth it for the delicious and fresh food. I have left a review on Facebook regarding dining in. However my review today is for our first time take away order. Now normally take aways aren't as nice as the food served while dining in. Let me tell you it was just to the same highest standards. It was respectable wait of 1 hour (like he'd said over the phone) and I even rang them up after my meal to tell them how smashing it was. As rarely people ring up after a take away to tell them how lovely it was. After using many different Indians and never finding one so perfect all round, we certainly won't be using any other one. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

As always excellent food, top service ! Ordered takeaway, ready in 30 mins. Totally COVID aware inside and I noted constantly wiping down equipment. The food was as usual tops! Will be supporting through the lockdown 2 as this business deserves the support to keep going. They contribute so much to the village.

Visited last week. Friendly staff. Good hygiene and distancing during pandemic. Good menu choices. Excellent food. My only beef is that the portion sizes are a little on the small side compared to other Indian restaurants . except the chappattis which were great. I would go again.

Phoned up at short notice on a Friday night for a table for two, the gentleman on the phone was very accommodating and booked us in no problems. Had a lovely meal, I had the sag paneer and spice lounge special, both were delicious, my wife had the duck masala and though it was amazing. Service was really, really good, the waiters looked after us incredibly well. Thanks again

Outstanding food. I mean, really outstanding. Best for miles. Eat here, you won't regret it.

Have some resignations about the place. Best to go into the restaurant to order a takeaway as when you call they get your order incorrect. The food is passable sometimes its good and sometimes it's rough. The restaurant is very clean and many staff to look after you. Time will tell they will probably get better in time they haven't been open a full year yet. Would be great when ordering a takeaway they repeat what you have ordered and a price at the end of the call.

Ate here in October 2020. Great food served by friendly staff who didn't 'hover'. Everything we had was top notch and 'not too spicy' requests produced exactly what was asked for. Definitely worth a visit (or two or...).

Very tasty. Restaurant is super clean and freshly painted. However, it does need some more decor. The service on the whole was attentive.

Had my second take away from here at weekend, unfortunately it was a little diassapointing, delivery time was spot on and food was hot when received but one of the dishes was really salty and one dish was over cooked. Maybe we will eat in next time!
