Had the £8.99 grills.. both of them difference being one has chicken and the other has a meat curry. Food was nice but as I was waiting I heard a family who were about 3 metres away moaning about how the plates and cutlery were dirty... which indeed they were... The food was nice and hot and is definitely worth £8.99...but the only thing is the food mixes with the curry because it’s all in one tin foil box. The food was tasty (I’ve had better) and moist, the fries were not soggy which some places are notorious for...ahmmm..UK Fried Chicken... The lady who served me was efficient and polite and the food was ready when I got there (I phoned in my order) Takeaway is ok and it’s a shame they don’t have delivery as I think they’d get more business that way.

we came here today after seeing pictures on their social media of the tawas. We ordered a tawa for one (lamb curry) and chicken wings and fries. My husband had the tawa, he is usually never one to complain but he was so disappointed with his food. Nothing was fresh apart from the fries!!! It was a frozen sheesh kebab as well as frozen fish and a mildly warm chicken piece lol it really was awful unfortunately. I had the chicken wings and fries- these look amazing on their Instagram lol but again these were not freshly made by the restaurant they weren’t their own recipe but in fact the same ones that big johns used to sell!!! UK friend chicken is 10000% better!!! We paid £25 for frozen food that probably cost a fiver. Avoid!!

First time at Tawa and Grill. Decor is like a garage .People who like the smell of petrol would certainly like the environment there. But it was not my type. Due to Covid the menu is limited , only serve tawa and burgers . Had tawa for us two adults and burger meal for kids. They love their burgers and our tawa was ok. Tawa had two curries meat and chicken. Two seekh kebab one chicken Kebab and one meat Kebab, which were pretty small in size .Two chops ,tasteless. Four pieces of chicken tikka , it was good. Two pieces of Fish , it was also good. Two wings , they were nice as well and two naans and lots of fries . Chicken curry was ok but meat curry was below average. I had to ask for salad. I don’t think would be going back soon. Maybe after a year or two when they start serving full menu .

The food here was very good full of taste. The staff were very nice and pleasant. Loved how the food was presented in separate containers. Would definitely go again.

Greeted by a stone faced man, only ones in the restaurant, waitress didn’t say hello ask if we needed anything, chicken tikka was 10/10 everything else awful uncooked fish, oily curry. Menu was a reused print out stained. Would not recommend £30 for 2 people.

Me, the ex-missus and the fruit of our loins were cruising the Ladypool road with the intention of visiting an old favourite (Zam Zams) when the three of us were lured into the Tawa by the prospect of trying something new. There was not a large selection of dishes on the menu, which for me is a good sign. I’d rather a curry house does 12 individually cooked curries well, than offer 112, most of which will have a common sauce. The tawa grill was impressive. A variety of grilled meat, a hunk of fish, chips, naan, rice and curry. The kebabs were meaty and chunky, with coarse meat and not the finely ground mush of sheep lips, earholes and fat that can make up some of the cheaper kebabs in other places. In fact I would place the sheesh kebabs as some of the best I’ve had. There were 3 chops on a platter for two, which is an interesting proposition and they were, substantial, tasty and cooked, just right. The fish could have been more of a chunk than a sliver and could have spent a few minutes less in the oil, but apart from that was pretty good. The naan was fresh, the meat karahi good, though boneless, and the chicken curry was also enjoyable. The atmosphere was good, lots of families and friends enjoying the food and the service was friendly and efficient. My only recommendation (apart from the fish) would be that a large plate of salad be served with the grill. At £36 for three we felt it was good value.

Was expecting the food to be better if I'm honest not that much rice loads of meat could not taste that much spice which was disappointing... I wouldn't order this platter again as it wasnt the best at all.

Detailed review coming up... LOCATION: Heart of Ladypool road, and parking can be a problem but definitely worth a walk if you are parking down the road a little. DECOR: Nice and clean, can be a bit more ‘brighter/lighter’ but decent size. Deffo needs an air con/cooler in the hotter weather when we went but they provided loads of stand fans. FOOD: Just WOW. The menu is extensive, has kids meals, gourmet burgers, currys, starters. Definitely order the Tawa platters though. There are 4 different kinds, we have tried 2 and they are amazing! Consists of curry dishes, starters (lamb chops, seekh kebabs and chicken tikka) rice, nan bread and chips. OH YES! All at a very reasonable price too. Good service as well, the waitresses were more than happy to help with everything. All round a great place and definitely worth the visit. I’m already planning my next trip there
