Complete wrong order and gave us food for one person when there are six of us here. We ordered food worth. 45 pounds and only got kabuli Pilau and a box of chips. Terrible experience . Waste of time n

The pulao was not fresh. Very dry and feels like cooked previous day and just served after heating. Very disappointed.

Ordered via uber eats, waited 50 minutes to have order cancelled, save yourself time and go somewhere else.

Food was ok. The service was the worst I have ever seen. Guy walks in topless with all buttons open. Can’t speak a word of English. Overcharged me and keep saying I have to pay for a lassi when I should be paying for an Aryan. When I asked politely I didn’t had a lassi, he goes he don’t want to talk to me as he have a headache. Maybe they should keep someone with experience and someone who gives a damn about customers. Very rude and abrupt service and took me 20 minutes to make a payment. Disgusting service is all I can say. Then he goes I am stupid because I said I didn’t order a lassi. Get someone whom can speak English. Or understands English. Food is ok. But please you need to understand English and respect customers. I had Kabuli Pilaw, that was nice. The lady served me was nice but this guy took 20 minutes just to take the payment and his service and attitude was disgusting to say the least. I’m shocked by this horrible service.

This is Pakistani restaurant appropriating Afghan food. Most of the dishes are Afghan however not authentic. Unlikely that the owners are Afghan.

Ordered lamb okra and instead got a cold chicken okra. Nann bread wrapped with no care. Probably will not order here again

I've both dined in and gotten take out from here and it's always excellent. First time I dined in, my server was very helpful. The Burani Afghani was so good that I think it's my new favourite way to have aubergine/eggplant and the Chapli Kebab was super flavourful.

Delicious and satisfying food with generous portions. The kebab, priced at around £40, is a must-try—it's a huge serving that can easily feed 3-4 people. The meat is flavorful and well-cooked, making it a great choice for sharing.

I ordered the Momtaz from Taste of Watan via Deliveroo. Momtaz is supposed to include one skewer of minced lamb, one skewer of chicken, rice, and grilled tomato. The picture on Deliveroo looked great, but what I actually received was completely different. No rice, no grilled tomato—just meat and some bread. Portion size was too small for the price. Food was cold when delivered. Definitely not worth the price. Very disappointing experience. Wouldn’t recommend ordering from here!

Delightful evening spent with old friends over a delicious meal. Well cooked and so tasty. Had the sizzler and charsi chicken, shared between 3 of us. Really comfortable seating and spacious and homely at the same time. All of us agreed to revisit another day. Wonderful team at the restaurant made everything a really good 5 star experience, will certainly recommend a trip to Taste of Watan Harrow.

A lovely place with delicious food

First experience of afghan food and it was incredible.

placed an order via Uber Eats at 7:30 PM, expecting a smooth and timely delivery. Instead, I was left waiting over an hour, only to have the order abruptly cancelled at 8:30 PM. This is completely unacceptable. It took your team an entire hour to realise the order couldn’t be fulfilled? How is that even possible? At no point was I informed about any delays or issues during that time. I sat there waiting for food that was never going to arrive. This lack of communication and inefficiency wasted my time and left me frustrated and empty-handed. If there was an issue with fulfilling the order, I should have been notified immediately, not an hour later when I had already planned my evening around receiving the food. This level of service is unprofessional and frankly ridiculous. You need to reevaluate your processes and ensure that customers aren’t left hanging like this in the future. A proper system to notify customers of issues promptly would save everyone time and frustration. I’m extremely disappointed and will think twice before ordering again.

I don’t recommend this place I called him to prepare rice with sea bus While I was on my way to this restaurant.he said it is okay Don’t worry it will be ready in five minutes when you are here. But when we went in we had to wait more than 20 minutes, but still the food has come not cooked well and kind of raw . I asked him if he have water he ignored me for the first time but when my wife asked him if he can bring some water, he asked me. Do I also want water? Haha funny Also he didn’t have the things which is in their menu

We were visiting family and there aren’t many Afghan restaurants where we are, so this was our first visit to Taste of Watan. Samira was very hospitable; the chapli kebab were absolutely incredible and is what I enjoyed the most amongst various other excellent traditionally cooked dishes. If I had a negative comment it would only be how bright it was but that didn’t stop us enjoying our food!

Delicious Afghani Palo and Kababs, Manto and Bolani Banjans were great and mouthwatering! Highly recommend the place for family gatherings and parties. Banquiting is for all kind of orders. Quick service and great customer service.

I have told them to make its spicy and no corianders they just give me looks like fried rice and chicken inside and one of staff hamad is like sorry but are not able to put chilli and cant make it spicy because you told as no corianders does this make sense

NUT ALLERGY customers AVOID!!!! Ordered food from here and made restaurant aware of a nut allergy. My 2 year old son who has a severe nut allergy had a couple of bites and his lips swelled up! Husband and I quickly took him into A&E, which was literally across the road from us thank god! Once my son had settled I rang the restaurant to question what had happened! The manager seemed very unbothered and didn't seem concerned whatsoever! He said there "wasn't much he could say" and that "precautions were taken". This could have been fatal for my son!

Naan was missing from the order. They told the driver to tell me. When I called the guy had the audacity to say if you want something else I can give you but you have to come and pick it up from the store!!! Instead of being protective and calling before delivery and informing me of the issue or sending something complimentary. Completely outrageous and non serious attitude.

Ordered kobeda with naan and upgraded to add rice. When the order came it came without the naan. When we called they said you can't have both but we paid extra for the rice. We are regulars here and not new customers. How can you pay extra for a item and they remove the naan? I don't get that. We didn't replace rice with naan. Anyways when we called they were unhelpful.

I would like to give zero star for pathetic and expensive food. I guess all the reviews are fake. Stale biryani and then warmed up and burnt, chapli kabab overcooked and on telling them they simply refused. How offending it is to spend £30 and then getting worst food. Owner of the restaurant was sitting there and listening to everything but didn’t bother to listen to customer. This is not the way to treat customers.

Family friendly service and vibes, kabuli pilau with lamb shank is perfect, meat falls off the bone exactly as it should, best genuine Afghan cuisine in the area. Food is fresh and served promptly, large portion sizes. Also highly recommend their chapli kebab with afghan naan.

Dinner at Taste of Watan was a very pleasant experience. The service was friendly and the food tasty and arrived promptly, all for a reasonable price. The table decor could be improved but this was a minor issue. Highly recommend.

I loved the food. We ordered one kg lap curry and the atmosphere briliant. They had the quran playing all the time but at a very low not annoying type. I really enjoyed the food and service. Saw the owner and even the waiter took the food left outside to my car as I asked him and they didn't complain and had a wonderful smile

The Best Central Asian restaurant in the area! Excellent food, service and atmosphere. Restaurant owner is wonderful as a chef and a person, very friendly and very attentive to the guest's. We will definitely come back again to eat mantu, pilaf and other dishes prepared with soul.

What’s the point of serving delicious food when you can’t create a safe space for the customers? Had a weird guy who couldn’t stop bashing muslims in very loud voice, banging tables and disturbing other customers—weird druggies roaming outside. The two girls working were visibly terrified. Absolutely TERRIBLE. Please don’t visit this place for the safety of your own and the family.

I was supposed to meet my friend in the restaurant next door but that one was closed so we ended up at Watan by coincidence. Wow! What a nice experience. The food was very tasteful and perfect presented. I very much enjoyed the side salad too. Excellent location as on the High Street. Very good price quality. I will be back! 10/10.

Don’t go on the weekend or order then. Don’t eat in and don’t order more than 2 dishes. They get confused, atmosphere isn’t great, waiters are weird. The food itself is great!

Actually, it was good overall, but I could not give more to this restaurant according to the price and quality meats and the foods.

I was looking forward to eating there it was my first experience and I cannot describe how disappointed I am. They put me off from the beginning by asking me to order the naan separately, although my friend always buys from them and they got it. Cashier was very ride and abrupt about it, and proceeded to speak in a language I didn't understand about me. Would bot recommend again. I prefer other branches

Delicious afghani food. Don’t usually try Okra from restaurants but was pleasantly surprised was my favourite dish. Service was great and prices were very reasonable for the Sudbury and Harrow area. Will definitely be visiting again.

The food was cold there was barley any meat it was mostly rice this is not a meal I am so disappointed won’t be ordering from here again. Warmed up the food and it was fine but then saw barley any meat and a lot of rice this is ridiculous I am not happy

Made the mistake of trying this place out, ordered the karahi which was not fresh, small portion, cold and mostly bones, never buying again.

Quality meals and reasonable prices, I couldn't finish the dish, it was at least enough for two people, asked for a box to take away the rest.

Tried this restaurant on recommendation and was not disappointed at all. Clean environment, great fresh food, quick and friendly service and very decent rates, I went with a group of 10 and everyone was happy with the food. Will go again.

WOW WOW WOW An amazing restaurant with great service and atmosphere. Delicious mega platter including all well cooked dishes and amazing taste. Very few restaurants get the lamb chops perfect and they are certainly one of the them. Tasty chicken wings, chicken tikka and kobeda and Kabuli Palau with extremely tender meat. A must go restaurant for an amazing food
