Every Fish Bar in Harrow

This is the best place to try fish & chips around here. I really recommend it. If you're Japanese and try it at first, you'd think cod needs to be salted and wiped water before frying. But please enjoy the freshness and soft texture of cod without salt for preparation. (you can sprinkle salt, pepper and vinegar when you eat.) I went to another place and I had to have cod with an odor of the oil and fish's ammonia. I hope you will avoid it.

My friend and I dined in today and tried the vegan platter. It was DELICIOUS. It was a fantastic selection of bites, including battered sausage, sausages, vish, bbq wings and chips. We also tried the mushy peas and pickled onion. The food was to die for- the fish especially was so so realistic I couldn’t believe a gem of a place like this is right here in Harrow! Belongs in Soho. The staff were lovely and very attentive. Will definitely be back! Highly recommend 🫶

Better than your average chippy 🤗 Warm welcome, great customer service. Made sure we were comfortable when we decided to eat in. Vast menu for a fish and chip shop. Went for the Jerk Sea Bass with Jollof Rice and Plantain.. so tasty.. cooked to perfection and very generous portions. Atmosphere was just fine, it was mid week at 13.00, venue could do with a little updating but this did not detract in anyway from a very enjoyable experience at Every Fish Bar.. Thank you for your service Have to add to my review made a year ago... Have just had Ever Fish Bar cater for a small birthday celebration., we picked up our order.. they couldn't have been more helpful and the food was enjoyed thoroughly by all my guests... Drove 2 hours to eat and it was worth it.

Not as good as my previous purchases Chips cold , not many and a lot were like the crispy crackling bits , first time disappointed with your goods unfortunately

Food was good however the male cashier today was too rude while we were placing our order for dine in. This was embarrassing as my family questioned me as to why the staff was rude to me. The fish was good, the chips were below average and overall experience was below average due to the unprofessional behaviour of the cashier.

The chips were fine, right portion tasted good. But beef suya was my first time and it was ok

Excellent atmosphere . My complaints to Mr Demeteous and Oina. Place spotless. Food came fast really quick and well presented. We will definitely coming back and recommend to everyone.

The vegan fish is excellent and such a rare find for the area. Get the jollof rice too!

Had a takeaway. Food was delicious 😋 We had Jerk Chicken, Jerk Sea Bass, Jollof rice, chips, and plantain. Menu has a great variety for all. Highly recommend.

I would highly recommend coming here!! The dishes that I tried and loved: - chilli fish grill is 10/10 - the fish is soft and melts in your mouth like butter and the flavours are insane (BEWARE it is spicy!), - the chilli fish burger is soosooo good - the tartar sauce and the plantain adds so much flavour and depth to it. It is better than any other fish burger I have tried. - fried haddock and chips is also very good The restaurant is clean and spacious and it seems like all the fish is made to order (i might be wrong), which is different to your average chippy.

Ordered suya (Northern Nigerian barbecued beef that has been preseasoned/ marinated in suya spice seasoning) & large chips (onion, salt & vingar) as advertised @ just under £20. Received a tiny portion of non-barbecued beef with almost invisible dusting of suya spice on the top & extremely bland chips that mostly had to be binned. Summary: Not beef suya if it is not thinly sliced, hasn't been pre-marinated, barbecued, served onions and topped very generous amount of suya spice seasoning. That is what gives suya its characteristic smokey & very fiery taste appreciated by Nigerians & non Nigerians alike. I will felt conned & disrespected as a customer with the quality & price of food provided.

Appalling! Please try elsewhere/ further afield for authentic suya/ Nigerian food. Worst suya ever & zero value for money. Poor in terms of quality & quantity @ £9.99), It had zero smokey & characteristic suya spice flavours. What I received was not barbecued, had a extremely light dusting of suya spice. Hence, it was falsely advertised as suya & woefully failed in its attempt. Chips completely lacked salt, onion & vinegar as described on the menu.

Very rude and bad behaviour with the drivers we are coming to pick up the orders we are not beggars so mind your language and respect the drivers and there are one white guy and white lady with scarf they rude very bad with drivers so kindly request to the owner please do something about that.Thank you

Burgers and chips were really tasty but the jumbo saveloy was not jumbo atall.

The only problem was I had no code (I ordered via web browser as a guest) and my mobile was not recognised which caused issues with delivery driver. I have raised this with your customer service - this is unfair on your drivers and not great CS.

My daughter had seen this on tik tok and desperate to go. 40 minutes travel for a fish and chip shop is a long way to go but believe me I was worth it. We had a traditional fish and chips,, jerk sea bass, jollof rice and some chicken wings. It was all cooked fresh and I can say it’s some of the best fish and chips I’ve tasted, very fresh, lovely batter on the fish. I would highly recommend a visit here. We ate in there as it has a number of table and chairs. Staff were very friendly and the place is very clean.

Fish batter flavourless and oily. Chips had sand on it. Could not give it to the kids!

£13 quid for fish and ‘small’ chips. I thought I’d give this place a go, but honestly, I wish I’d have cooked the ready made lasagne in my fridge. Chips were mid, and I’ve kept bigger goldfish. Sorry but nah. See photos attached, terrible.

This restaurant/takeaway is clean with plenty of seating available, though it can get quite busy with online orders. Parking can be a challenge. As for the food, the menu offers a wide variety, including grilled fish and vegan/vegetarian options, which is great to see nowadays. I ordered the regular cod and chips along with a portion of onion rings. The cod gets a 3.5/5 from me—nice crispy batter, but the portion was small for the price. I’d rate the chips 3/5. Unfortunately, the onion rings, though I was told they were made in-house, were clearly frozen. As other reviewers have noted, the prices are a bit steep for what you get, but it seems the demand keeps them steady. On a positive note, the service was good, and the staff member was polite. I probably wouldn’t go out of my way to visit, but I might stop by if I’m already in the area.

Amazing food, although local, I actually found this place on a whim through TikTok and it’s definitely not one to miss out on! The combination of the British staple; fish and chips, with an African/Caribbean twist serving suya, jollof, plantain and jerk combinations (even Naija Fanta!!) really brings the menu to life. For once I actually ate ALL of my food and the standouts for me were definitely the jerk seabass and jollof 😍. I would say the service was a bit slow and the staff seemed to be attentive to other guests and not so much us, but regardless I would definitely recommend and return.

Ordered a large fish and chips, large jollof rice and plaintain. Where shall I begin, I read the reviews and saw pictures of the food so thought let me give it a try as looked very promising. Got my food and was nothing but disappointed. Supposed to be a large fish. £14.50 they charge you. I Finished it within 5 bites I thought half the fish was missing to be honest. Number 2 it was soaking wet and soggy almost stale like it had been under the lamp for too long. Fish itself was okay but like I said soggy stale and tiny. Nothing was fresh or hot. Chips was closest thing to being fresh even they were just okay. Jollof has good flavour and the red sauce was cold. Plantain were cut far too big so it was like eating potatoes rather than sweet ripe fresh plantain. But point is I come for the fish and it left me completely underwhelmed. I won’t be coming back again

Really unusual to get the same place doing fish and chip and also jerk chicken... but it works and the food is outstanding! Great service too. Venue was nice and clean and run like a well oiled machine.

The fishes are really fresh and tastes great, chips are also as they should be, we just like jollof rice with plantains a little differently. Overall, the food is great for a good price, the staff are very friendly and the atmosphere is also good, so I can only recommend this place..

We enjoyed the food here very very much! Our photos are a testimant of this, not one thing left behind. Absolutely loved everything we ate. The owner is super friendly and welcoming to all customers which added to the experience. Such a warm and wholesome experience. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! don't walk RUN!!!!

So we all know a good fish and chips is the cornerstone of food in British culture and hands off to this place for standing its own BUT please please don't add a Vegan Menu if yoi don't care to give it the love and attention as the rest of your menu!!!! Decided to order the vegan bbq vings online to be served 4 over baked vegan drummers with bar b que dolloped on top. I ate it as I was so hungry but to be served this as a vegan alternative was an insult to say the least!

Suya chicken needed more Suya powder it was tasteless, I’ve ordered the beef once and is was so good. I didn’t get my salt and vinegar on my chips neither, batter was abit soggy needed a little more frying. just a little more will go along way. Thanks

Jollof and chicken suya were nice but I couldn't taste scotch bonnet. If Im not sweating its not authentic african...it didnt make me sweat but was ok

Honestly I was so disappointed with the food we received. Ordered it as a takeaway we had both a cod and a haddock. The haddock was great however we had a terrible experience with the cod, the batter was stuck to the wrapping and basically fell apart when we opened it. On a positive note the curry sauce did taste great. I don't think I would come back.

The fish &chips were on point, The only fault is that I decided to order fish and chips but didn't like the fish though it was cooked to perfection. It wasn't cod nor was it haddock, fleshy but tasteless, so, next time I'll just select my fish preference. The lovely lady accepted my request to ensure chips were crispy and they were. . Our new favourite fish and chip place! Everything is great!

So this is my go to chippy since moving into the area. Only fish and chips place open on a Sunday!! The chips are great, fish great - size is determined by weight, saveloy and the sausage I'd give it a miss doesn't taste quite right in my opinion. Will look to try other items on the menu over time. Service is slow and could use improvement. There is no system with dealing with online orders coming in and those placed over the counter - you could wait a long time to get your order. Overall will be visiting again soon!

A great local fish and chip shop. Prices for cod on and chips are reasonable. Fish is not greasy and batter is light and delicious. Chips are also exactly what you’d want from a good fish and chip shop.

Excellent. Extremely large portion of cod and chips. Speedy, friendly service. Ate in . Wouldn't go there for evening meal. Great for lunch, couldn't eat it all as there was so much.

Not a huge fan of fish and chips generally but I have to say Every Fish Bar knows how to cook fish to perfection. Super crispy and great flavour. Chips were well cooked too. Decided to try their jollof rice and plantain - 10/10. I’ll definitely be re-ordering from here again.

They do vegan options which is great however portion sizes aren't great for the price. Overall taste was pretty good and service too.

Quality gone down to drain. I gave 5 Star review for this place previously. Order 3 Large fish and Chips worth £49.50. Took more than hour to arrive and it was stale on arrival. When I rang to mention missing Tarter Sauce, they said Tarter Sauce come only with Meal Deal. What difference do you see fish & Chips without meal deal. Who would serve Fish & chips without Tarter Sauce? How much would it cost you ? Never gonna Order again. Not recommended.

Pleasantly surprised. Arrived on time and was packaged nicely. The fish was crispy and fresh. Chips were nice and what you might expect (normal chip shop chips). Came with Tartare sauce which was tasty. The portion was good. A bit pricey overall but it was a once in a while treat.

This is our go to spot following the closure of our local Chip Shop / Chinese. The variety / choices available at Every are FAR better and prices are very reasonable. Can be a bit of a wait for the food, but that's because it's cooked fresh and they're always busy. Have tried several items from the menu and have never been disappointed. Long may they last!

Two stars for answering the phone but couldn’t answer a very simple question about their menu. First person hung up, second person didn’t know the source of the produce

This is a complaint about Just Eat and their drivers, NOT the restaurant. The order was awaiting a driver for a long time, but then after over 45 minutes of being notified they were at the restaurant, awaiting the order (and some 1 hour and 45 minutes after placing the order) I rung up the Restaurant to be told the driver had not arrived. I was given the option of collecting the food myself or cancelling the order. I collected the order, but the fish having been prepared some time beforehand was not at its best. I understand your drivers are taking some form of disruptive action, including not responding to orders or, as in this case, eventually accepting the orders but not collecting. This in on you Just Eat, and making it all but impossible to complain to you has just made the whole experience even worse. I'm not impressed.

I ate here at the reggae festival in Milton Keynes 2023. The jollof rice was delicious and the jerk fish. My sister was so happy as you serve proper chips 🤩. Also had food from you at Black Eats in London.

Quality of this place has really gone downhill. Once the chips were fresh and crispy now they are stale and soggy. They have also increased their prices. £11.50 for fish and chips is a rip off.

Fish was frozen not fresh. Plaice fillet was tiny. Chips and extras ok. Food was not hot when it arrived.
