Skippers in Harrow

Ordered from here one evening, once I got my order and bite into my savaloy it was rotten, the smell was disgusting. Don’t order from here they sell rotten food well past its sell by date

Re heated chips, don't bother and goto Barracuda. Waste of money

Just not very good. Firstly the shop needs to check its ridiculous prices. A small portion of chips plus 2 sausages for £8? No mate. Chips were greasy and stodgy which is not how well cooked chip shops should be. Compared to the Ideal Fish Bar in Pinner (where chips are light and fluffy and portions huge), these guys really come up short. Plus liberal use of the microwave in the background. I don’t really go to buy freshly cooked food to see it being microwaved.

I’m from the hospital I love the juices on the fatty kebabs nice and juicy and the chilli sauce is nice and tangy I also love their burgers and cheesy chips plus their Coca-Cola is oozing with cold sugary tangy taste thank goodness your here for me 🥙🍔🍟🥤🥹

Ordered chicken doner. But the chicken was rock hard and stale. Had to throw it away. Wasted more than £8 on low quality food.

These fish and chips are fantastic, my sister and I bought some on a cold night and they were still warm when we got back to the hotel.

Ordered their Pizza veg hot it was delicious had such a good pizza after many years it was absolutely fantastic just a bit overloaded with garlic and i like garlic but it was still a 5 star pizza will order again highly recommended

Ordered fish bits and chips. Both items were not good at all and were stale and reconditioned and reheated. The batter on the fish was not good and crispy at all. Highly disappointed with this sad meal.

Friendly staff and service as always. But the sausage I ordered with my chips was hard and completely dried out.....obviously from a very old batch. Fed it to my neighbours dog. Chips were lovely by the way...

Fish & Chips are great from here and there Pizza's are amazing! I was able to customize my Pizza fully!(Garlic base, stuff crust etc) and they were more then happy to. Garlic bread with cheese was on point! I didn't actually realise they did pizza until I walked in to get fish & chips. Very friendly staff. Defo recommended!

Very slow service. Took 40mins to get my order ready in the store. Why does it take 40min to do 3 chicken doner n chips. If you do order, call before hand otherwise don’t bother going there first.

Tasty fish & 🍟 chips but the fish cakes are very salty. Friendly staff should clear up the clutter in the eating area. Parking can be a problem.

I have just had the very happy experience of eating haddock and chips from skippers. Cooked to order....and to perfection...light and crispy batter, fisb you can taste. Salt and vinegar not drenching the food. No grease. Proper...like i used to have in yorkshire where i grew up!!! A highlight to a pretty dismal stay in harrow. Plus, the service so friendly and kind Thanks

The food here is so tasty, that I had dinner from here on Wednesday and Friday this week. The order arrived fresh and still hot, even the batter on the cod was still crispy! Their customer service deserves a 10/10 as well! Really accomodating and helpful.

Such a good place. I stumbled across it having got off at the wrong tube station. I asked for 2 battered jumbo sausage and chips. They gave me 3 for the same price. After I asked how to get to a taxi rank they offered to call one for me. So friendly, so kind. Please visit this chip shop if you can. Oh and the food was great! (And the taxi got me home.) The man said it was a family business so I hope that he gets to read this.

Outstanding!....I have been to Skippers a few times now and felt I wanted to give them a review as their food and service are of the highest standard I have seen. They are always friendly and welcoming although recently I am getting the food delivered.They have introduced pizzas to their menu and the vegitarian I tried on one occasion was a delight!!... Thank you Guys!!

Just bought a chicken Donner with chips and lamb donner with chips from here, verdict chips were nice and fresh, however the chicken was so so grissly and not worth the seven whole pounds we paid for it, you get less than a child's handful of meat, lamb donner was okay but not the best. Staff were friendly and they were observing Covid-19 rules.

Recently we tried Meat Feast XL size pizza from Skippers. It was too good. The pizza was exactly as its name with 4 - 5 types of meat. It would be a great treat for meat lovers. We had stuffed crust and the pizza was given in a lovely cardboard box and it was warm, smelt and tasted delicious. Very friendly and very good customer service. WE WOULD DEFINITELY GO AND DEFINITELY RECOMMEND.

This shop had the best fish and chips and now they only went and started making the best Pizza's. There Pizza is full flavour and I've tried a few now and just gets harder to choice which one to have. Well done keep it up

Second time ordering from Skippers. They came reccomended by friends. We all agreed that the food is delicious! We each had a bit of everything. It is so affordable in comparison to many other local chippy's. They offer 15% off on their website too which is always nice. Delivery driver really friendly, food arrived piping hot on both occasions. We will share this reccomendation with friends ourselves now.

Have been going to Skippers for so many years now. Chips are always so good. Cant go past without getting some. Thanks to delivery now its our weekly regular. Cod is absolutely massive. Something for everyone in the family.

I thoroughly enjoyed my lovely meal at Skippers. The fish and chips were extremely fresh and tasty. I only meant to stay half hour but 2 cups of tea and a coke later I was there for well over an hour. The service was superb and staff Fun. I didnt want to leave. I will return again and would highly recommend this warm, friendly restaurant/cafe.

Literally no idea how this is so highly rated, but maybe I got unlucky. The fish was so greasy it was dripping. The batter was soft. It was an ok flavour but so so much oil I couldn't eat it. I gave it to the cat and he was delighted though... The chips were, in my opinion, under cooked. The mushy peas were good though, and the people very friendly.

This is a fish'n'chip shop in the parade of shops neat Harrow and Wealdstone station, on the Harrow town centre side. Not sure if it's the only fish'n'chip shop in Harrow, but it's the only one I know of. The fish'n'chips are excellent and you get good sized portions. The two guys who run the place are friendly and pleasant. The shop has a seating area, so you can eat your fish'n'chips in the shop if you prefer that from having a takeaway.

Visited from Birmingham. Amazing and very friendly staff. Gladly cater to your order requirements. Asked for a fresh batch of chips and got it immediately. Another guy after me wanted his chips well done and got what he wanted. Chips tasted amazing. Definitely the best chippy I’ve been to in the UK. Well deserved 5 stars

Not if, but when you visit Skippers, you must order the Rock! It’s cooked to order and tastes so good, they also do very nice chips, I strongly recommend anyone to visit, the staff are very friendly too, which helps

Great chips and good customer service.. This chip shop has been my local for a number of years.

Really good food. I purchased the chicken burger from them and it was absolutely delicious. The chicken fillet was perfect and tender whilst had a bit of crispiness to it which topped it off. The burger itself was mighty large and satisfyingly filling. The chips were well-cooked as they were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Together it made a wonderful meal and to top it all off, the staff were really friendly which made the whole atmosphere better. My only gripe was that the furniture was a bit uncomfortable to sit on but that did not take away from the fact that my meal was very lovely and I enjoyed it very much. Will definitely come back here again to try something new.

We really fancied fish n chips midweek as it's local chose Skippers..really enjoyed haddock and their scrummy chips made to order..always lovely and we enjoyed not a chip or fish left.

Been using Skippers for a couple of years now. Not an avid fish n chip fan but we do like this local joint. Nice and friendly owners, always greet you with a smile. As a Northener, it's not the best chippy but it's decent and very handy for us (around the corner). One slight criticism is that the portions seem to have gone down quite a bit, but that's the only minor flaw. All in all, a tasty and friendly place!

Moved to London from Canada, and this was literally the first fish n chips joint I hit up. No other places I've been to even compare to this place. They're very considerate of any food allergies you may have. The food is great, and very fairly priced here. Portions are substantial, especially for the chips, and the staff are always friendly! 5/5

Reminds you of the Harry Ramsdens in UK or Burdocks in Dublin. perfectly done fish. Chips and mushy peas A1. friendly staff. Open late. Try their Cod. Also the fish cakes.

Well what can I say, the Large Cod is of a generous portion. The batter along with the soft flesh of the fish is a joy. All fresh and served with a smile. What more do you want!

Chicken burger and chips are very delicious here. Chicken fillets which they are using for burgers are fresh and well prepared.

The best fish and chips I've ever had its got to be the best chips in Harrow very fresh food cooked to perfection and the owners and service is excellent I highly recommend if you choose to have a bite in Harrow good prices as well!

A truly outstanding fish and chip restaurant. They do some interesting rarer fish as well and everything served here is always cooked to perfection. Good prices and really lovely owners keep us coming back. Highly recommended.
