Delivery time changed 3 times. The food was below average and lacked taste. I only ordered from here as my usual (Paul's Plaice) was not taking any orders. very disappointing

Having been a customer for a decade the fish is usually great, but on this one occasion it was over saturated in oil. Apart from that it was still very well cooked.

Arrived later than originally scheduled. Food was cold and despite ordering and paying for 2 pieces of chicken with chips only received a single sorry piece of chicken. Will not be using again.

Rubbish, this guy doesn't know how to operate a business When you charge £3,50 for a burger, you don't then charge £7 for a burger meal, this is not how other takeaways do it, it should be £5 at the most ,the point of getting a meal is to save money rather then buying the items separately , not a difficult concept I did get the burger meal, and it was disappointing , chips were hard, burger was bland and again hard, straight out of the freezer He wanted to charge me extra for sauces but I told him to jog on , this isn't Tom kerridge As others have said it's dirty, cramped and has no atmosphere, might as well sit in your car

The sausage and chips was good but the rock was poor quality. The flesh was stringy not chunky as it should be. A lot of dark meat on the bottom. Disappointing

I would give it less than 1* if I could. Awfully disgusting food. Fish and chips were soaked in oil that has probably never been changed. Had a brownish colour and a bad taste. I understand that sunflower oil prices have gone up, but I paid 2 times more than at my local place for a kebab, chicken and chips so they should a ford at least changing oil from time to time. Please avoid this place, it's a health hazard!!!

Made it very clear I wanted just onions and a pot of chilli sauce and a pot of garlic mayo. Received a kebab with every salad I did not ask for and no sauces. Disappointed customer. :(

I don’t usually leave reviews but I felt I had to this time! Chips were the best I’ve had in a very long time- well cut and not too greasy. Fish tasted amazing and again not dripping with oil (which is quite rare to find nowadays). Delivery was fast aswell. Definitely my new go-to chippy from now on. Thank you George’s, keep up the great work!

Burger buns were caked in grease and soggy, ribs were dry and looks an old boot and the chips were undercooked and also soggy.

Best fish and chips around. Whenever I visit I am always greeted with a smile and excellent customer service. The food itself is cooked fresh to order using quality ingredients. If you are looking for an affordable quick meal then I would highly recommend George’s!

they're a bit pricey but the portions are generous.... I suggest eating there because the batter on the fish and the chips is crispier they go soggy very fast if taken away but not a bad fish and chip shop

This fish and chip shop is very good and fish is nice and fresh when I have been there. It is good value for money. Only downside is lack of nearby parking and somewhat dilapidated surrounding buildings which makes the area look a bit grim. But the shop itself is fine and better value than other fish and chip shops

Soggy batter and tasteless fish. Request to knock or ring was ignored and the food was left in the porch, so it was cold and greasy. Massive portion of chips and average size of fish. Can't comment on delivery time as no idea when it arrived.

Lovely customer service ! Serving staff were amazing and helpful. Bought a skate and cod , not a big fan of skate but this one I love it. Fish is nice and crispy even after 20 mins drive. Worth trying it. Went to the shop looking at the review , so I thought I will leave one.

Fish cooked perfectly. Traditional shop cut chips. Tasty BBQ ribs. And England 4-0 so far against Ukraine. Ehat a night. Woohoo!!!!!

Saveloy was freezing cold, fish was refried and the chips looked suspiciously like fried oven chips. Won't be ordering from Georges again.

Really tasty chips and such great service everytime

Cod and Haddock were excellent. Saveloy was watery, sausage in batter wasn't crispy. The fish made up for the rest especially the Haddock.

Unfortunately the delivery arrived 10 minutes late but the quality of the food was excellent! Will certainly use again.

This place cooks wonderful fresh fish and chips. not too expensive either, you can eat in for no extra, does the best ribs for miles definately underrated..
