Taste Of Paradise in Gosport

Ordered the same as last time. Curries were fine. Naan very good. Rice was nice. Bahjis were dry and no where near as nice as the first time. I think they may have been from yesterday then heated in an oven making the very dry and unappetising.

Absolutely delicious food. It was hot when it came. The portions were plentiful and can honestly say that it was the most delicious madras that I've had in a long time. Thankyou.

driver delivered wrong order. similar price so we started eating it - after I rang up trying to explain the situation, but no answer, not my ideal meal, then driver turned back up, probably 15/20 mins later, but he said it'd only been 2 mins lol. nice chap on the phone when I rang back up after saying to the driver it's too late mate.

Lovely Indian gave us extra food, early and hot and delicious great meal !!

Messed my order up . Didn't have the curry I ordered . Called them and they told me they are busy so will be another 30 - 40 mins before I get the correct meal .. by this time the whole FAMILY have eaten ... won't be coming back ...

I have used this takeaway for over 20 years. I pass many on my 16 miles round journey. The price, quality and portion size makes it all worth while. Great friendly staff.

I used to rate this place.. Wait 1 hour, when it arrived it was cold. I phoned them directly had to speak to two different people ( annoying ) to be made out to be a liar when I told them about their bad reviews I've just read regarding cold food being delivered he said " don't want to know " and hung the phone up. I will be taking this to trading standards these awful human beings need to be looked into and so does the buisness. DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE , AWFUL SERVICE AND FOOD!

The chicken tikka was very soft and tender in the chicken tikka biryani. Also it arrived earlier than expected. Overall a very good experience, will be returning again :)

Simply the best Indian in Gosport. I have been using the Taste Of Paradise for years and I have never had a bad meal from them. Always spot on.

Terrible service. We ordered from them 3 times now (silly of us to believe it would get better) and every single time the food took ages to deliver (over 1.5h!!) When we called to ask why is it taking so long, always ALWAYS the same answer - "the driver just left". Well, the driver must be going on the secret road trips around Europe if it takes him this long to deliver. Won't be ordering again.

Absolutely delicious food and was piping hot when it arrived. It arrived about 10-15 minutes after the estimated delivery time but it was definitely worth the wait. We will definitely be ordering again.

Ordered a take away and had it confirmed at 5.42pm. Didn't turn up until 7.20pm! Ordered early (for a treat) so that my wife could eat before having to leave the house as she wasn't returning until late evening. Called twice, once an hour and 15 mins after ordering and told it had left the shop, then again 20 minutes later to see if the driver had got lost! They confirmed the driver was not far away after calling them. I have used Taste of Paradise for years, however, their delivery and poor excuses have massively declined. No real apologies/sincere apologies given. Also the food wasn't even very hot. Unfortunately, I won't be using them again!

I’ve been going here since 2005 never had a bad meal. The staff are all lovely. My favorite has to be chicken Kurma, chicken Pakora and the onion bajis. Will always go here and recommend to others

Nice nan bread but unfortunately everything else was very dry and not much sauce with the curry. Also the popadoms were stale :/ had lovely takeaways from here before and collected so not sure why it wasn’t up to standard.

I literally can't say a bad thing about Taste of Paradise; I've ordered multiple times from them within the last three weeks and they've nailed it each time. All the curries I've tried so far are extremely flavoursome and the naan breads are superb.

Really sad to have to review this curry house so low as 2 stars. I’ve eaten their food twice now and it’s truly fantastic but last night…. Very disappointing to order the delivery service. I made the order at 645pm. Just Eat delivery said it would be 745pm arrival. It was fine as I wasn’t overly hungry. My partner and I had had a busy day so both just wanted a shower, PJ’s and television. I was watching the tracker and at 740pm, it changed for 8pm. I still didn’t mind, I knew the food was good. Just after 8pm, no food arrived so I tried to call Taste of Paradise. Constant engaged and almost made me think the phone was off the hook. I decided to call my uncle who works next door at Papa Johns. He very kindly went into the Curry house and asked them about my order. The staff were all in the kitchen and ignored the fact that he was in the front of house for at least five minutes and when they did come out they suggested that they didn’t have the order. However one of them in the background said Chezzy which clearly gave the whole thing away because that is my screen name on Google for ordering and reviews. My uncles and hold the food have been delivered he was sent away with nothing. At this point I’m at home getting crosser about the whole situation so my partner and I got in the car and drove for four minutes down the road to go in myself. I’m not quite as polite as everybody else so I let them immediately know I had arrived and gave him a piece of my mind. They told me that my food was on its way and that the driver was at my front door, at this point it was 8:30 pm. So what can I say, if you want a tasty curry, go here but make sure you go in order and collect or use the terrible service of just eat and you will get a completely different experience with this curry house because they frankly do not give a damn and taking 2 1/2 hours to bring your meal is totally unacceptable and had I not have drove up there and made a point I truly think that if the food hadn’t turned up like one of the previous reviewers, I do not think I would’ve got my £35 back. One final point I should probably make is the fact that when the food did arrive it definitely was not at the optimum temperature I had to therefore heat it up in the oven for we could sit down and eat.

I was very disappointed about the service tonight my order took 1 hour and 40 minutes to arrive after being told it would be an hour . I called back after an hour and 20 minutes to be told my takeaway was just leaving the shop it was cold on arrival and onion bhajis burnt , I always rave about this takeout but will definitely be going els where from now on ! !

Very disappointed tonight. Spent just under £30 for a takeaway for me & my husband to celebrate bonfire night. I ordered at 18:00 and my order didn’t arrive till 19:45. The food was cold. We had a few bites and decided to bin the rest. We are regular customers but, we won’t be ordering from here again.

Shocking customer service. Food came cold, they said we were lying and that they wouldn't send new food or refund. The man said he doesn't care if we don't go to them again because they have plenty of orders so we won't make a difference.

Been using Taste of Paradise for 20y and on the whole been great but last night disappointed. Arrived lukewarm!! Madras there was bland just heat, rogan was also bland. Edible but not enjoyable. You can do better then this you pay your money you expect tasty food.

Fantastic fresh beautiful meat tnderloo perfection. Starters nans various perfect. Other meals ordered as well everyone enjoyed and said next day very fresh and sill enjoyed on the previous nite. Buzy nite but delivered efficiently Thankyou. I will order again

I do love taste of paradise food, but a few reasons why I won't give 5 stars. Number one, a dansak and pathia is meant to be spicy. Last few have had absolutely no spice in them and its like eating a korma type spiciness. I'd avoid buying King prawn curries as what the hell they serve is not king prawns. They are the toughest things that ive eaten and are not king prawns which are supposed to be soft and delicate. These are the only issues I have with them.

Food arrived cold! Ordered mango chutney and 4 poppadoms which I paid 70p per one and received about 10 and no mango chutney tried to call and no answer to the phone. Will not use again!

Honestly the food is so good but I've given a 2 star honestly because of the delivery driver had a stinking attitude and this is every time I've ordered food with taste of paradise, honestly just quit your job and do something else.

how on earth can this takeaway get anything less than 5 stars.i moved to gosport in January and I have a takeaway every week without fail and every week they never let me down. Try the lamb tikka pathia.so many spices and flavours.i even went in there a while back to give them a personal thanks for such fantastic meals over and over again. Dont even waste your time on anyone else.other takeaways I've tried before taste of paradise is thick with oil. You get none of that here. A massive thankyou.

First time I have ordered from here, and I will certainly use again, an exceedingly tasty meal had by everyone (7 different meals). Pre booked for 6-30 everything was ready individually marked meals to help us when we got home.

Well firstly it was late...very late a hour and half for a takeaway, there are plenty of other establishments in gosport who deliver half the time. Secondly starters cold..not even warm or hot, nan bread solid as a rock, no mushroon rice with our order, quality of the curries, not up to there usual standard. The staff memeber who took the order should have told us there and then how long it will be rather guess and the chefs in the kitchen...bad night? new staff? who knows but as a regular customer whom the whole family enjoy the meals we had there....last night was so dissapointing especially paying that amount of money.Not going to order there again .

This is a takeaway only not a sit in restaurant. Good food and good service.5 star hygiene rating. The Dhansak is the best my wife and I have ever had,but other dishes are fresh and tasty as well.

We have been using Taste of Paradise for 15years +. Always good, always tasty. The onion bhajis are absolutely gorgeous. We have tried a few others locally, but none are as consistently good as here. Can get really busy on Friday & Saturday evenings, so order well in advance.

I have had a dhansak (my favourite place at the moment) & a pathia, pershwari nan so far & enjoyed them, Pinched a bit of my other half, garlic & chilli nan, wow, loads of chilli's. He goes for Jalfrezi.

We usually order from a local restaurant but decided to give this a try when we couldn’t get through. The chicken kurma was good and keema rice fine but the chicken tikka masala was so sweet and a funny brown colour. The chicken Rogan was tasteless. These are 2 of the strangest currys I have ever had and won’t be ordering again.

I always have a Chicken Tikka Masalla to Vindaloo strength, which seems to get better every week. We asked the lady on the phone, who was so helpful (despite another line ringing in the back ground) for a recommendation to try something new...Lamb Dansak! Oh my, that was gorgeous too. Beautiful food, great service.

Can always say I had a good Indian from here, delivery is quite a wait as there so busy would suggest pick up. I normally get chicken tikka starter and we get korma, madras and masala all lovey and piping hot when delivered

To be fair we usually go elsewhere but decided for a change to go back to the TOP and it was ok, the tikka masala was creamy and very nice but tasted just like the passanda so as I say it was ok but nothing to write home about

Been getting my takeaways here for ages now and they never disappoint. Always lots of flavour and their prices and so reasonable as well! I recommend going in to pick up though as it’s much quicker than delivery

Ordered my food at 1830 and it's still not here at 2000 hrs??!! Phoned up 20 mins ago and they said it would be 10 mins??!!! Not happy
