Taste Of Paradise in Gosport

I have used this takeaway for over 20 years. I pass many on my 16 miles round journey. The price, quality and portion size makes it all worth while. Great friendly staff.

I used to rate this place.. Wait 1 hour, when it arrived it was cold. I phoned them directly had to speak to two different people ( annoying ) to be made out to be a liar when I told them about their bad reviews I've just read regarding cold food being delivered he said " don't want to know " and hung the phone up. I will be taking this to trading standards these awful human beings need to be looked into and so does the buisness. DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE , AWFUL SERVICE AND FOOD!

Food took nearly 2 hours to be delivered, i had to call twice yo find out how long my food was going to be and when it did arrive everything was cold and I had to be reheat it.. poor show 😢

Very bland curries and side dishes with no flavour and no spice

Was ok luke warm arrival not the best vindaloo unlike last time superb, but eatable would like LRG option on the rice, but overall a decent take-away.

The prawn vindaloo great and clean no rush for the lavey in the morning was expensive though a £12 odd just for the K--Prawn curry

Absolutely delicious food and was piping hot when it arrived. It arrived about 10-15 minutes after the estimated delivery time but it was definitely worth the wait. We will definitely be ordering again.

Terrible service. We ordered from them 3 times now (silly of us to believe it would get better) and every single time the food took ages to deliver (over 1.5h!!) When we called to ask why is it taking so long, always ALWAYS the same answer - "the driver just left". Well, the driver must be going on the secret road trips around Europe if it takes him this long to deliver. Won't be ordering again.

Ordered a take away and had it confirmed at 5.42pm. Didn't turn up until 7.20pm! Ordered early (for a treat) so that my wife could eat before having to leave the house as she wasn't returning until late evening. Called twice, once an hour and 15 mins after ordering and told it had left the shop, then again 20 minutes later to see if the driver had got lost! They confirmed the driver was not far away after calling them. I have used Taste of Paradise for years, however, their delivery and poor excuses have massively declined. No real apologies/sincere apologies given. Also the food wasn't even very hot. Unfortunately, I won't be using them again!

Really nice food! Haven’t had an Indian for a very long time n we will only ever order from here… it is the best in the area so was really pleased to not only have it again but to be reminded just how nice the food is from here. Sadly an item was missing from the order so I’ve lost out financially as Just eat don’t always refund annoyingly.

I’ve been going here since 2005 never had a bad meal. The staff are all lovely. My favorite has to be chicken Kurma, chicken Pakora and the onion bajis. Will always go here and recommend to others

Such nice food but I ordered 5 poppadoms but only got 3 😕did that last time too!

Nice nan bread but unfortunately everything else was very dry and not much sauce with the curry. Also the popadoms were stale :/ had lovely takeaways from here before and collected so not sure why it wasn’t up to standard.

Very tasty portions. Presentation was good. Family visiting were very impressed in comparison to their local offerings. Also, ordered to collect and was told approximately thirty minutes. 25 minutes later I receive a notification saying order is ready. Very happy with the service and the food.

Ordered a chicken tikka madras and found it to be very watery. Rice was lumpy, and when I called the restaurant to enquire about the drinks I had ordered, I was told that they were on the side expecting me to go collect, so not a very great experience 😒

Bland food which at best was lukewarm. £30 spent and just disappointing. Ordered side dishes to get a mix of flavours for a change rather than one curry and to try out a new place. Didn’t expect heat but thought there would spices in flavour and roasted garlic, coriander etc etc. Actual pieces of paneer and not slop. Certainly not paradise and just a shame.

Usually love the food from here but it was so late it was cold and missing items! Gutted, the food was lovely but had to reheat in the microwave! I think the problem is these ordering apps, the restaurants get overwhelmed with orders which cause delays and therefore cold food :(

Considering the restaurant is only around the corner food wasn’t hot but not cold so like warm curry’s. Garlic bread wasn’t the greatest just cold dough. Won’t be using this restaurant again

Never had such a runny watery Korma or Tikka masala in my life.

Had the lamb masalla but wasn't sure it was lamb tbh. And when I put it on my plate I think half of the washing up bowl of water was on my plate. Rice was as dry as the Sahara dessert.

Delivery Time was poor took far too long, the food was good although there was very little lamb in the Lamb Tikka Curry it was mainly sauce.

3rd time using T.O.P, after having a minor problem the first time I was weary about coming back here but certainly will be my new Indian of choice really impressed cheers guys!

I literally can't say a bad thing about Taste of Paradise; I've ordered multiple times from them within the last three weeks and they've nailed it each time. All the curries I've tried so far are extremely flavoursome and the naan breads are superb.

Really sad to have to review this curry house so low as 2 stars. I’ve eaten their food twice now and it’s truly fantastic but last night…. Very disappointing to order the delivery service. I made the order at 645pm. Just Eat delivery said it would be 745pm arrival. It was fine as I wasn’t overly hungry. My partner and I had had a busy day so both just wanted a shower, PJ’s and television. I was watching the tracker and at 740pm, it changed for 8pm. I still didn’t mind, I knew the food was good. Just after 8pm, no food arrived so I tried to call Taste of Paradise. Constant engaged and almost made me think the phone was off the hook. I decided to call my uncle who works next door at Papa Johns. He very kindly went into the Curry house and asked them about my order. The staff were all in the kitchen and ignored the fact that he was in the front of house for at least five minutes and when they did come out they suggested that they didn’t have the order. However one of them in the background said Chezzy which clearly gave the whole thing away because that is my screen name on Google for ordering and reviews. My uncles and hold the food have been delivered he was sent away with nothing. At this point I’m at home getting crosser about the whole situation so my partner and I got in the car and drove for four minutes down the road to go in myself. I’m not quite as polite as everybody else so I let them immediately know I had arrived and gave him a piece of my mind. They told me that my food was on its way and that the driver was at my front door, at this point it was 8:30 pm. So what can I say, if you want a tasty curry, go here but make sure you go in order and collect or use the terrible service of just eat and you will get a completely different experience with this curry house because they frankly do not give a damn and taking 2 1/2 hours to bring your meal is totally unacceptable and had I not have drove up there and made a point I truly think that if the food hadn’t turned up like one of the previous reviewers, I do not think I would’ve got my £35 back. One final point I should probably make is the fact that when the food did arrive it definitely was not at the optimum temperature I had to therefore heat it up in the oven for we could sit down and eat.

Terrible service tonight, didn't arrive no contact, had to call the times... Told it was around the corner, ever though he didn't even know who I was... Then he hung up on me... Eventually arrived a hour late, but lied to about that over and over again..

I was very disappointed about the service tonight my order took 1 hour and 40 minutes to arrive after being told it would be an hour . I called back after an hour and 20 minutes to be told my takeaway was just leaving the shop it was cold on arrival and onion bhajis burnt , I always rave about this takeout but will definitely be going els where from now on ! !

Very disappointed tonight. Spent just under £30 for a takeaway for me & my husband to celebrate bonfire night. I ordered at 18:00 and my order didn’t arrive till 19:45. The food was cold. We had a few bites and decided to bin the rest. We are regular customers but, we won’t be ordering from here again.

Waited over an hour for delivery, rang the shop and they seemed unaware of the order I told them to cancel to which I was told it’s bagged up and on its way out and will be with me in 5 minutes. Half an hour later it arrived COLD!! Would like to say it was worth the wait but it wasn’t. £30 down the drain

I've been ordering from taste of paradise for over 2 years now. I have to travel from North end, Portsmouth to gosport to collect as no other Indian comes close. The pakoras and garlic and cheese naan breads are incredible. Everything is absolutely perfect every time. I definitely won't be going anywhere else. We'll worth the travel

Estimated delivery time 30-50 minutes on just eat. Food arrives 95 minutes after ordering and is missing a portion of garlic rice. Not acceptable when you pay £4.00 for delivery. Food is fantastic but delivery unacceptable! Phoned restaurant and informed them of missing item and quoted 30-40 minutes replacement for missing item. Spoilt meal and neatly £30 wasted! A loyal customer but won’t be using just eat or delivery again!!!
