We had an awesome dining experience at a restaurant in Darlington during our short vacation from London. The food we ordered, like the naan bread and chicken tikka, was absolutely delicious. The whole family loved it! A big shoutout to the owner for running such a fantastic place.

Lots of things lost in translation due to computers, also 1/2 chicken outstanding - that said lovely taste curry and very nice host! I will call you again Robert X

First time ordered takeaway, one meal was missing, rang and had to wait another 45 minutes, totally ruined evening, won't order again.

Restaurant dirty, toilet broken. Door was locked when we arrived and had to call them to gain entry. Waited over an hour for our meal because they were too busy with takeaways to the detriment of people dining. There was only one other group who cancelled their meal due to long wait.

None of the phone numbers work to book a table. Food great and authentic. Always very busy on theatre nights. Only one server.

Small meat quantity. Sauce was watery. Overall poor won’t be ordering again.

Dont order from here. Ordered via website and paid via PayPal Never got receipt from website so rang to query. Said website is broke (but still taking orders). Told them I have PayPal receipt and they said tough, you'll have to reorder via just eat. Don't order from here. No customer service at all.

Taste of India in Darlington is a decent option for Indian food. While the taste was good, the food was undercooked which was a little disappointing. However, the service was lightning-fast and the staff were friendly and attentive. The restaurant had a pleasant atmosphere and was clean and well-maintained. Overall, it's worth a try if you're in the area and looking for some tasty Indian cuisine.

Staying near Darlington for a couple of nights and came across this restaurant. Read the reviews and gave it a go! Best decision EVER. The food was absolutely delicious, staff were incredibly friendly and we would definitely visit again the next time we’re in the area. 100% would recommend!

Came here by chance and was amazing! Best garlic rice I’ve had, everything was really delicious and the staff were super friendly and welcoming.

It was an hour late coming and we called the restaurant 10 times with no answer! So we presumed it wasn’t coming and had gone to bed… then it showed up. Naans were as tough as old boots and leftover tikka chicken thrown in my korma like we wouldn’t notice. Disaster.

We ordered from taste of India as really fancied a good curry, and we were not disappointed, hubby had chicken korma and was delicious I had chicken tikka massala and it was very tasty, Poppadoms and onions bhajis were spot on. Garlic and cheese naan was delicious and so tasty. Definitely recommend.

Ordered a take a way at 18-25 arrived 20-15 food was cold tandoori chicken no meat all bone and tandoori paste, paid on the taste of India website delivery driver didnt have a receipt and wanted payment had to get her to ring and check wont be having a delivered take a away again from this restaurant, we have eaten in the restaurant and the food there or service we have no complaints

Had a lovely meal tonight. Service was friendly , efficient and endearing to our needs. Food was not only priced very well but also was cooked and presented perfectly. Was looked after entirely and felt extremely valued. I travelled a long way to visit Darlington and will visit this restaurant again without hesitation !

Had a meal tonight. Bought a groupon deal. The food is amazing! Was so nice.. the people couldn’t do enough to look after us! So lovely. They rang a taxi for us - when they said an hour wait, the owner took us in his car (was only a 2 minute car drive) Def would visit again. Amazing service and lovely food. Thanks

What a lovely evening, we are from Scarborough, staying for the weekend with friends. We had a beautiful meal here, the food was absolutely spot on. The restaurant is ran by a husband and wife team, who's hospitality made us feel like we were eating in their home, very warm and friendly, I would recommend you try it.

Don't get takeaway delivered if you're female and living alone, the guy (we think the owner) is a creep and has been inappropriate with my girlfriend on a few occasions but a recent incident was criminal. Won't be using this place again.

I dont know what was going on here. However we were booked in for 8pm. Table of 5. The place was full yet no atmosphere. No sense of any organisation 2 young lads front of house seemed very inexperienced and lacking in direction. The 2 elderly people who appeared to be senior had no sense of organisation or direction. Was asked if we wanted poppadoms at 8pm. No sign of them at 8 40. Could see kitchen from where I was sitting. No sense of anything happening. Lots of staring at orders no sense of any cooking occurring. Paid for our drinks at 8.45 and left had a takeaway from elsewhere. Never experienced anything like it. Bizarre

Great food, friendly service and excellent value. After visiting the theatre on a Friday night we found that this was the only restaurant still open in the area (it was only 10pm). The staff were very friendly, the food arrived relatively quickly, and was delicious. All the staff seemed very friendly and keen to make us feel welcome. Would definitely recommend.

Fantastic food and a great family service. Booked for a large group of 25, the food was super tasty and the manager even offered to drop a few of my colleagues home as we were from out of town. The drinks prices where very affordable too. Definitely recommend. P.s on regards to the 1 star review, the currys looked all different and tasted different 👍

One of the worst Curry's I've ever received! An inch of oil in the surface , definitely not a jalfrezi, all the Curry's liked exactly the same when each was different! Wouldn't recommend to anyone, had to reorder another takeaway from elsewhere! Waste of money!

The food was lovely and I couldn’t fault the service but what sets this place apart from any other restaurant is the personal touch, the restaurant owner gave us a lift back to the hotel because it was raining, what a lovely chap. And the food is great!! I’ll be going back !!

Having tried many Indian take aways this is our favorite. We moved to Aycliffe and still travel to Darlington for this takeaway. Amazing food at a great price. Lovely staff! 5 star every time.

Amazing restaurant! We went to Darlington from London for a little holiday and we must say it was great. My family and I enjoyed all the good we ordered especially the naan bread and chicken tikka. Well done to the owner!

Have had a takeaway from here a few times, first couple of times the food was cooked to our taste which we'd asked great, so we returned as really impressed however the next few times food wasnt up to the same standard and on one occasion we were both really ill for a few days after eating the food we had ordered. After this I did order once more to give them another chance but the standard of food again was nothing like the first time we ordered and I'm not sure I would return again as I'd only be wasting my money. So started of 5star amazing food, and went down to a 2/3star at best. A little disappointing
