Taste cafe in Kensal Rise is a gem of a place to eat and enjoy chilling. I had the delicious halloumi and roasted veg ciabatta toasted sandwich and a double macchiato. The sandwich was delicious and the coffee strong as I like it. The decor is a kind of distressed , antique furniture look which I also liked as they had not bought the furniture and chairs new, but had probably sourced from local antique shops. It has a really nice, chilled vibe and the service was excellent. Highly recommended and will definitely go back as I live locally.

. . En realidad fue muy agradable. . . Volveremos Gracias.

I've been here a few times for breakfast and always leave feeling satisfied. I usually order the eggs benedict and add bacon to it. I've taken friends here as well and they've been happy with it. I've had lunch here once and got the toasted sandwich which was fairly average but not bad for £6.

Came for a breakfast. Ordered Americano and Eggs Benedict with ham - £12.05 Coffee is very good and atmoshere is nice, however, Eggs Benedict arrived cold and it's really average..made from cheap products (bun & ham), really not worth paying £9.75 for the eggs...get a sandwich instead!

It may be inappropriate to say, but I tend to visit this little place when I've been at the wine too heavily the night before. Thursdays have taken over Friday's, dangerous territories etc but help is at hand because TOC do delicious toasted sandwiches, in which case the Mozzarella, Avocado & Sun dried Tomatoes is particularly hard to beat. With lashings of black pepper and delicious coffee on tap (make mine an Americano), well I'm pretty much set for the day.

Breakfast with my wife and son was very tasty. The quality was superb and coffee very good too. A little pricey but you get what you pay for. I real treat.

I'm a regular here and enjoy the friendly Mediterranean vibe and quirky country cafe decor as much as the great coffee and nice treats. My favourite for lunch is the chicken shawarma wrap or salad but also partial to the bacon and egg sandwich for a late breakfast bite or brunch. The owners are very personable and I almost feel like a member of the family now after coming here for the past 5 years since moving into the neighbourhood. It's generally a great place to meet friends for a quiet natter away from the madding crowd, or otherwise to come and blog (as I often do) using the good Wifi they have there

Too noisy to enjoy the food or drinks and poor choices of beer - it used to be good for real ales but the choices now are poor - think a bit of homework needs to be done by the pub on this - we used to love coming here but it is not the quality it used to be - hard to get a decent pint

The first thing that needs to be clarified is that Taste is not, as one reviewer mistakenly suggests, a gastro pub that specialises in steaks, but a cafe that specialises in snacks and light meals. The gastro pub in question is The Chamberlayne, which is situated further up Kensal Rise nearer to the station. Taste itself is a relatively recent addition to the many eateries that Kensal Rise and Queens Park are blessed with, and has quickly become one of personal favourites. First, it serves decent coffee (though the portions could be more generous for the price). Second, it offers a good range of sweet and savoury snacks and light meals, in addition to a variety of squeezed-to-order juices and an Italian-inspired range of other soft drinks. Third, it has a pleasant, welcoming ‘rustic’ ambience. Fourth, service is prompt and friendly and nobody tries to hurry you out – so a good place for itinerant lap-top users! Fifth, though it’s a relatively small place you can nearly always find a seat. (There are also seats outside, on the road.) Sixth, they play a lot of ‘sixties music: not to everyone’s taste, I know, but the volume is sufficiently low as to go unnoticed if you’re working, reading or having a conversation. Prices are as high as you’d expect in this neck of the woods, but the food is tasty and prepared with care. It’s probably good to know that the place has a Food Hygiene rating of 3 - which might not sound great but which is perfectly acceptable and higher than a number of other eateries in the area.

“The customer is ALWAYS right”. Have you never heard of this saying considering you operate a coffee shop?! We rocked up for a quick drink prior to a gig in Wembley Stadium on June 29. I asked my husband to hold our chosen table while I nipped to the loo. Immediately I was accosted by the extremely rude and aggressive security guy working the door on June 29 (tall, white, British, unpleasant looking) who told me I couldn’t use the loos until I bought a drink. How dare he assume I wasn’t going to buy a drink?! Would you rather have your customers pee while purchasing a drink?! I explained that my husband was holding the table while I used to loos. He aggressively insisted I should buy a drink prior to sitting down or using the facilities. Is this how your cafe chooses to treat PAYING customers?! I understand you’re right by a big stadium so have a lot of passing traffic but if you’re going to suspiciously assume every patron is solely there to use your dirty toilets and not buy anything, you should NOT be operating next to Wembley stadium as this attitude will lose you genuine customers who you should be trying very hard to hold on to in these economic times! You should be grateful we bought a drink (because we were parched and hot!) despite your rude door security! I hope you go out of business! To slightly prolong your longevity in a market that’s saturated with coffee shops (that serve better coffee!), I suggest you teach your door security guys some basic manners. And most importantly fire that rude guy on a power trip who was “manning” the doors on June 29. I will be making a formal complaint against him to your head office.

Ox & Gate is a great spot to watch any sports available on the television. The seat where I sat looked like it's seen better days. I sampled the margherita pizza and it's fair to say absolutely nothing to write home about.

We went in for a coffee. Staff were friendly. However there was a spillage and the staff member used the blue cloth to clean the tables, and then the floor. As far as I cooked see she did not change the cloth and proceeded to clean the counter tops. I know costa employees don't need hygiene training as they don't technically touch the food but this was gross.
