This spot is an absolute gem! Me and some friends came in, late at night on a Saturday, from a trip to the lakes. The food was incredible, service was fantastic and very friendly. Will be back again definitely!

all food was of good quality apart from the tarka daal that had a no consistancy or taste. it's a shame as otherwise I could have forgiven the meal being late. the lateness of the food and the very poor excuse of a tarka deal that cost me £4.50! ! is the reason for my low score

Nice food.. but.. somehow the billed price spiked.. serious service charge applied..£67 for two people with small starter and single drink each

On a whole food was good, really nice starter. Naan was a little overdone but good price for size of meal

Order from here numerous times(usually once a week). Unfortunately this has to be the worst time. From placing order to delivery was over 2hours. Phoned early to avoid any rush, had to phone twice again to enquire about order. When it came, I ordered a rice box, it came with chips not rice, pakora was well overcooked and cold, nan was hard. Fortunately the other curry was hot, but majorly disappointed in the order , at least one of us ate. Don't know if it was staffing problems but need to sort it out.

Arrived late and not very hot. Bangla pakora starter arrived as a few small pieces of chicken pakora and a potato, quartered and fried... no vegetable and no Prawns in sight. Very disappointed by a restaurant which I normally regard as one of the best in town. Biryani was good.

Initially due to be delivered between 7.30pm-7.50pm. Received notification that there was a delay and was updated to be delivered between 7.40pm-8.00pm. At 8pm, food was marked as delivered but had not arrived. I looked outside and nothing or no one was there. Delivery finally arrived at 8.15pm. Some of our items were cold and portions smaller than usual.

Food was 40 minutes late, poppadoms were stale so none of us ate them, rice was stuck in clumps, actual main dishes were nice, shame about the rest.

The meal was excellent. We were very happy with the quality, the portion sizes, it was well-packaged and delivered hot.

Great takeaway, however this has happened a couple of times when ordered a paneer dish, when they obviously don't have any they substitute it for potatoes which isn't great, would much rather be told and asked if I would still like this dish.

The portion size was really poor, I’ve had more bits of chicken in a ready meal. The chips were about half the size of what you’d realistically expect too. The taste was fine but could have definitely done with a much bigger portion.

Because the food was late it was cold which spoiled a tasty high quality meal. The side dish delivered was not the dish I ordered

There must be a new chef in town. Food is always good but tonight’s offerings was just that bit nicer. Although the onion bhaji was very over cooked and inedible. Delivery was prompt and possibly early which is usually unheard of. Yes, a lovely meal and a step up to the premier league.

Onion bagie must have been the night before very crunchy,the nan bread ancient,could do better,but what do you expect from a carry out,if you sat in you could complain,sign of the times,they do not care.

This is the best Indian in town. Their chicken madras curry with garlic pilau rice is nothing short of heavenly. Order from here at least once every fortnight. Would never go anywhere else. Delivery staff so friendly and cheerful, and staff at the establishment have been great whenever phoning. A credit to Dumfries!!!

I have covid and they wrote a message saying 'get well soon' which was a nice touch. Vindaloo and rogan josh was very nice... gave us poppadoms as an extra. Good portion size good value imo

Ordered food last night with friends. It was disgusting most went in the bin, never again. Should have stuck to the Greedy Coo it's fab.

We got a carry out with friends, it was disgusting, this takeaway used to be one of the best. Awful won't be back wish we had went to the greedy coo. Lesson learned.

Ordered king prawn but was sent minuscule prawns. To have king prawn it £3 more expensive than the small prawns. Chips were stone cold and thrown out. However, the garlic pilau rice was nice.

Really disappointed with my order, ordered meal for 2 and first of all we got a phonecall to say they had no rice left (we ordered 2) then the order came and no starter..we ordered chicken pakora. The curries had literally 3 bits of chicken and loads of sauce in the big containers, they sent us fries that we never ordered and they were cold and rubbery. I've never ever complained about this takeaway as it's somewhere I go to on a regular basis but I definitely won't be back after tonight! We tried to call them straight away and they never answered even though it was 13 mins before they shut and it just kept ringing out. What an absolute waste of £32. Raging

Cold soggy food, the mains has 5 tiny pieces of chicken which were cold, didn't follow instructions re dietary, 45 nins latr, absolutely awful.we binned it snd have contacted Just Eat for a refund. What a waste of money, especially during the cosy of living crusis. Won't be ordering from here again

Disappointed with the quantity of meat in both curries. Really poor. This used to be our favourite Indian but I don’t think we’ll order again.

Order was over 60 minutes late. When phoned they told me it was already away but still took more than 35 minutes from there. As a result of that, poppadoms were soggy, naan was cold. Main dishes were good quality. When complaint was made, staff only said they were really busy. Very poor customer service for somewhere with good quality food

the food was 55 mins later than the latest time . the food was cold. the food was ready at 8 yet delivered at 8.55. the rice was burnt. there were 8 small pieces of chicken in the korma. we waited almost 2hrs and 45 mins for substandard food to be delivered. all off the portions were half full and i have photos to prove it . to say i am disgusted is an understatement.

Order was made at 5.50pm, estimated delivery was 7.10, but the order didn't arrived until 8.10 - more than 2 hours the order was put in. I did call at the 2 hr point and was told it was on its way and it had been hectic. The naan breads were very sweaty but not hot, the chips were soggy and our 2 starters were missing. Really poor.

This used to be our favourite curry place, but this definitely is the last time I'm going there. Food portions were ridiculously small; hardly any meat in the currys. Nan dry and hard, poppadums soggy. Don't understand how they think they can get returning customers with these standards.

The food tasted nice but there’s not enough chicken in the curry. Not going to mark it down for that but it was basically a full tub of sauce and about 4 pieces of chicken.

Had to put it in the bin there was a bad smell off the chicken which I wouldn’t even risk to eat and the poopadoms were stale

Appalling service. Over 2 hours from ordering to delivery. Had to call twice to find out where it was. Order was wrong. Food luke warm. Onion bahji inedible, chicken pakora cold and refried . Garlic nann cold. Curry was tasty but so disappointing having waited so long. Will never order from them again.

First time ordering from here, as I've not lived here long. But it was absolutely delicious. I ordered chicken pakora, and chicken korma with garlic naan. All 3 were 5*****. I'll definitely be ordering again! 😁👍👍

Ordered the spicy poppadom however this turned up burned and broken and is just one small poppadom. Salad bag that comes as a complimentary is a few slices of peppers and a lemon slice. Both chicken curries arrived with 4 pieces of chicken in and the curry itself tastes like it’s out of a jar as opposed to homemade. Tarka Daal has no lentils, it’s soup like in consistency and tastes nothing like it’s supposed to. Rice portions small and the fact it’s not tied into the price of the curry is a shame as curry is overpriced. Food arrived luke warm. Will never be back, extremely disappointed! Driver friendly and arrived slightly earlier than expected but this is the only positive.

Totally the best Indian takeaway in Dumfries in my opinion. The Lamb Dhansak is out of this world....

The combo quality was not good...maybe it was because it was offered at a cheaper price.

Taste Of Bengal has to be the best curry I've ever tasted, balanced. Certainly a 10/10
