My meal came on time also hot to eat straight away reasonably priced too highly recommended best chow mein I've tasted for a long while

Food turned up fast enough but rice cold chick balls cold pancake roll cold be a while before I order again if ever not worth the money when you get a cold meal

Ordered thai crispy beef, curry with fried rice, chicken chow mein. Charged a lot extra for adding more beansprouts to the chow mein and also for a mixed chicken and beef curry!! The chow mein was just a container of absolute tastless stodge and the crispy beef had a strange taste, our meal was a total waste of money and had to be thrown in the bin. This used to be a lovely Chinese and has gone completely down hill to the point that I will not be ordering anything from there again.

Awesome food best Chinese in the local area!

Ordered at 19.48pm delivered at 21.44pm, phoned numerous times to be told 10-15 minutes drivers on his way. Luckily the food came hot and enjoyable hence the 3 star review. The chefs saved the day on this one.

I waited nearly over 1 hour and a half for my food to come. I rang few times and they kept saying 10 to 15 mins it's on the way, same answer everytime I was ringing. Then my food was cold was not as tasty as it should be. Service was disgusting. They didn't even offer me fresh one or refund.

Put in order for five of us worst Chinese we have had chips rubbish tasted about two days old chop souy just couple bits of chicken bamboo shoots in sweet and sour sauce onion rings soggy mess I could go on Spent over £50 supposed to get free coke etc nothing don’t bother save your money

This is probably the best Chinese takeaway I've ever been to. The staff was nice and the food was delicious 😋. I ordered salt and pepper fries and it was so good I can't explain it! The best, I recommend this Chinese takeaway

Ordered food, didnt deliver so rang, she said basically the forgot to do my order, so asked to cancel, told me they can let refund and to use food hub, food hub said to go to the takeaway, so I'm stuck and the girls attitude actually was pathetic, glad I wasn't in the shop at the time. Never use these again.

Ordered food online waited 2 hours after it said 50 minutes delivery time after 2 hours contacted the shop to be told delivery would be another 1 hour after the phone call had a txt message from just eat the restaurant cancelled the order shockin service girl on phone had very bad attitude with no customer service skills

I made an order tonight from Taste good and was greeted by a boy shouting down the phone and taking 15 minutes to understand my order and then swore at me and hung up! I have had issues with this boy receptionist last week and the week before too,where he was repeatedly told 4 times down the phone the correct order,but still managed to get the wrong one delivered two weeks in a row. It's hard to believe in this day untrained, rude and arrogant teenagers are allowed to answer any phone for orders, especially ones who shout and swear down the phone,steer clear of this place,they have no idea of customer service with kids running the place!

On Monday night the owner hong Ming Chen asked me to give him a lift up to lees kitchen but I did not know he was going to sack me then so then later that night a driver quit so he shouted at me to work so i said no so I walked out then he then told me I’m not allowed to come back there to sleep there as I lived there but he told my girlfriend he wanted her to train up a counter girl so then he could sack my girlfriend and kick her out on the streets knowing we had no where to go so we would be homeless this man has ruined my life he called me a brother I trusted him and he betrayed me don’t order from taste good go somewhere better he smokes over the food flicks fag ash in the food he drops on the floor he still severs it to you I know this cause I spent a lot time in the kitchen they don't respect their customers

Ordered at half past 6. It is now half past 8 and we’re still waiting!! Tried calling no Answer, went through just eat they tried to contact them, no answer.

Ordered food at 8pm and was waiting until 10pm so called to complain that are food hadn't been delivered. The woman receptionist said its with the driver. Been calling but they just hang up and then get a notification saying they have delivered... Fuming!!! Now trying to get a refund. Never will order from them again and advise people not to trust your food being on time... Disgusting!!!

Awful service & attitude from manager when We complained . Food was over 1hr late & items missing when I rang to request missing food the manger said it wasn’t her problem & that we’d have to wait in a queue again as she was too busy . It’s the second time they have done this we will not be returning for a 3rd

Such a poor service ordered last week using the just eat app, food was an hour late. Ordered again tonight through phone call/directly calling the restaurant, to have food arrive over 2 hours late. Phoned back 3 times to be told it is with the drive each time. No customer service at all! Will never order again.

Usually food is lovely, however I rang tonight and was asked to hold the line, while they natterd away in background. Conversation resumes, hang on hold the line... More chit chat for a good minute on the 3rd time of this happening, I hang up and get some beans from the cupboard. Bring back the lady that used to answer the phone, so in short, food usually good, customer service usually good, but at the moment customer service is a joke, shame really.

Food was very good, piping hot and very tasty. The young man taking the orders was extremely helpful and so polite. The young girl with him was also very helpful, so nice to have such amazing customer service complete with a friendly smile. Will definitely be back.

I've been eating from here for years and never had bad food. Other Chinese takeaways I've tried in Pontypool have been hit and miss so I only use this one now. There's always a freebie depending on order size and usually delivery is early but always on time. I guess lots of other people are happy but don't write reviews as it remains popular. I'm shocked at the reviews here and wanted to reassure people.Always had nice food, I can particularly recommend their Singapore fried rice/chow mein.Thank you taste good.

Please do not order from this Chinese, the chef and drivers smoke in the kitchen. They buy all their products from Iceland and tesco- all cheap ingredients. The girl behind the counter has the worst customer service ever!!

Understand that the wait is more as not many places open so was happy to wait the 2 hours. That's fine. What isn't great is that when it arrived, the amount of chicken in the chow mein was pittyful. Hardly any. The Chinese curry was overpowered with what I think was ginger but might have been another spice. Just really tasted odd. The chips tastes microwaved. And unfortunately the chicken noodle soup had nowhere near as much flavour as some other Chinese takeaways in the area.I understand they are very busy at the moment but it seems everything was rushed and definatly skimped out on the chicken in the chow main.Hopfully better next time. So where do I start about this takeaway. Well let's just say how minging the food was, very watery and their portions are terrible. The young girl over the phone was very rude when placing the order, she was over talking to her drivers then to people in shop then to the owner.When food arrived there was food missing so rang shop back up and explained that I haven't received the full order she was then moaning down the phone giving all excuses. I tried to explain to the girl on phone if I could get the food sent back out but she just kept saying (we are busy) and hanging up the phone..This is a very awful takeaway would never eat from here again, and with the young girl on the phone I think she needs some manners before doing a job like this..The staff are very rude, and as for the food its sick.

Taste good pontypool is a very dirty, discussing place to eat from. Their food is minging, very watery.

Absolutely appalling timing placed a simple order for 2 - was advised it was going to be 50 minutes - 1 hour. The hour came so I called the restaurant and they said my order had not even been cooked!! And there was another order before mine to complete therefore it would take over an hour! I do not recommend this restaurant - at times like this and one of the only Chinese restaurants open you would think they would like to keep their customers happy. I cancelled my order as I was not prepared to wait for any longer.

We placed our order 16:30 via JustEat before the restaurant officially opened. Still waiting at 20:00 for food that should have arrived at 18:00.We called at 18:10 to find out that our order hadn't even been taken into the kitchen. The girl on the phone just makes excuses rather than admit they've ignored our order completely.When the food arrived just after 20:00 it was awful! Watery and tasteless but somehow incredibly spicy. I suspect the chefs made one batch of curry go as far as possible as it was like running out the containers. Pork balls that we ordered were replaced with chicken.When we called the restaurant to complain about the quality of the food, the young girl made excuses refusing to listen whilst we tried to explain our dissatisfaction. She was a babbling child and unfit for customer service! When the manager eventually came onto the line he shouted over us and hung up the phone. Negotiating a refund with the staff when we eventually got back through was an absolute farce! Excuse after excuse! They began asking us to place the order again trying to charge us twice for food that resembled dirty dish water. We insisted on a refund and asked them numerous times to come and collect the food. After more excuses and evasion they tried to tell us that they were unable to issue a refund and again we were hung up on.I feel this restaurant is taking advantage of the lack of competition and lack of support through JustEat in order to sell food unfit for a prison. It's evidently being cooked by lazy chefs who are watering down sauces to stretch ingredients across as many meals as possible.

The best Chinese I’ve had in my 53 years on the planet. Absolutely gorgeous, would definitely recommend this Chinese to a friend or stranger. Arrived on time, very tasty, all food was hot, honey ribs were to die for! Would 100% buy again - and have! This is my 3rd time and there are many more to come.

Worst chinese takeaway we have ever had Meal for 4 people 70% went in the bin only thing that could say was nice was the yung chow rice

This is by far the worst Chinese iv ever ordered from! The chop suey tasted like tomato's and the food was genuinely tasteless.

Just eaten our first order from here and it was lovely ...crispy shredded beef, Singapore rice, BBQ ribs, noodles, sweet and sour chicken....delivered before the expected time and hot

Good place for Chinese food lovers. Dishes were excellent but unfortunately the portions were a bit small for us.

The delivery service is fast and they have such a good variety of dishes i have tried many new things over the past year.

We order from here every week. The food is usually well cooked, arrives very quickly and the staff friendly. It has changed hands several times but the current management seem to be producing very consistent meals.

I have been using this take-a-way for years as it was one of the best in Torfaen. Used it on 18/09/17. How it has changed unfriendly, disinterested staff, odd menu. They don't accept bank cards only cash. The food was the worst ever, all over cooked and stale looking with a rancid oil flavour. We only ate small amounts before it ended up in the bin but it gave both of us upset tummies the next day. This takeaway has a four star health and hygiene rating it fell far short of this standard.

This was one of the best Chinese takeaways anywhere in Torfaen or Caerphilly. It recently seems to have changed hands, and has gone downhill drastically. The menu has changed a lot, and a lot of traditional Chinese dishes have been removed, to be replaced by some very odd ones (whoever's heard of Marmite (yes, Marmite!!) and Crispy Chicken, Guinness and Crispy Chicken or Fruit Juice and Crispy Chicken?). The quality of the food is awful - the dishes we bought were dried out - like they'd been made well in advance and heated up) and very poor quality. The free Thai Chicken (for spending over £10) was like rubber, and had clearly been reheated, and the prawn crackers were so sweet and sugary they were inedible. A lovely, friendly Chinese family used to run this takeaway, but now a rude, unfriendly (and to be honest, downright rough) lady works behind the counter. I wouldn't recommend Taste Good at all now - whereas, until recently, it was the best Chinese anywhere in the area. Big disappointment - avoid at all costs.

When you order the food is ready within 15minutes or you can have it delivered, the food is excellent, I would recommend this Chinese takeaway,plenty of food and very succulent.
