Beijing House in Torfaen

This used to be our favourite take away but its all changed. My egg fried rice had no flavour, the chicken in my sweet and sour was inedible, crispy chilli beef was bland, chicken chow mein was disappointing. The free prawn crackers were absent! We wont be going back, worst £21 spent!

Best Chinese food in South Wales and the delivery guy is a great fella

Outstanding food and service. I order online and collect. It is t my local but it’s well worth the 15 - 20 minute drive. The food is always piping hot, super fresh and deliciously tasty. Service is amazing, very efficient, polite, personable and friendly. Award winning Chinese food - if Carlsberg did Chinese food 😍

We were saddened when we heard that the previous owners were retiring but excited to learn that new owners had taken over. We really loved the food previously and other Chinese takeaways in our reach weren't as good. Happy to say that we really loved the food in our first order through from the owners, plus we appreciate the ability to order online and then collect. Particularly enjoyed the battered pork balls, the duck in orange sauce and the crispy chilli beef.

Had a meal from here last weekend and the first since it was taken over by new ownership. Have to say the food was beautifully cooked and very tasty, good sized portions and will definitely be reordering.

The place just reopened, new people so called and asked if they would do a tub of oyster sauce, they said they would, I was over the moon as none of the chinese takeaways I've visited would accommodate, strange but true. I ordered chicken chow mein and a few other items. I was very happy with the order, it was very tasty indeed, especially with the sauce. I've been back since I can still get the sauce, thankfully, but the chow mein was awful. I normally order lots of onions but forgot this time, my bad. But all I got was a tub of noodles and chicken. No bean sprout, carrot, or an onion in sight. Bland, to say the least. I think Wales is the worst place on the planet for quality and consistency. Please improve.

We ordered ribs and duck pancakes, the duck was average and came with the right amount of pancakes for the duck, one of the ducks managed to have a chip beaded into the skin of it, not sure how that got there but thank you for the free chip. The ribs were a monstrosity of bone and cartilage with the least tender meat you will ever bite into, whilst it was drowned in what seemed to be cooking juices instead of BBQ sauce, did not finish any of it very likely chance of getting ill, indigestion hit quickly leading to a unpleasant painful visit to the toilet. Do not order ribs.

So yesterday night I decided to order a Chinese I saw this one had great reviews so I ordered some dinner from here and I would just like to say whoever made those reviews were either paid off or got free food because they are lies, I ordered the bbq ribs and duck pancakes, the duck was bland as anything and it came with a free chip wedged between the skin and the meat cheers for the free chip suppose, the hoisin was very strong and very watery it was not delicious, now onto the radioactive ribs, I didn’t know that ribs could swim they were drowning in the jelly like substance and it was not appealing, I gave my dog a little bit of the rib meat and she ended up throwing it up later on in the night, I don’t think I will be ordering the ribs again.

Visiting from the New Forest, where is a distinct lack of Chinese takeaways! The food was fast, fresh, really tasty and brilliant value. Would definitely visit again if we were in the area.

First visit here, service was quick and parking was easy, we ordered Kung Po Chilli Chicken...no evidence of any chilli at all, it was no more than a sweet and sour chicken. My husband's lamb was ok, but wasn't anything special and wasn't crispy as described. Very disappointing. It had a better rating than our usual takeaway (which we like), but not likely to return.

Ordered King Po Chilli Chicken and crispy lamb. The chicken had no evidence of chilli and tasted just like sweet and sour chicken, the lamb wasn't crispy. So, so disappointing.

Service for us was spot on, my Singapore chicken noodles was just great.

Curry sauce pale and tastless, 2nd time this has been for us, 1st time they admitted a mistake on there part, but this time, they said no one else have complained tonight, not happy

Oh god we had a 100 pounds takeaway saturday night with all our kids and grandchildren all of us suffered from terrible indigestion and acid stomaches im still not right now never again its put me off chinese for life and it was my favourite meal

Food came out quickly and it all tasted the same and was all of poor quality and poor cooking really a shame as it’s my local so sadly again wont be returning ..

This is the first time I have used Beijing House and I will definitely use them again. Ordering was easy. The food arrived within the time slot given and was really good.

Very tasty food nice and hot good size portion well worth a visit

The food was not good at all. It was obviously reheated and not freshly cooked. I will not be returning to this takeaway.

The order I had was done in a good time and the staff were pleasant. For me I would like my sesame prawn toast and chicken wings crispy and crunchy. They were lacking in that unfortunately. The chicken wings had a bit of crunch but it was like the batter you get with shredded chilli beef which wasn't the right type for my taste. The main dish with the rich was fairly good though, flavour was a tad strong for me and I normally like that. But I expected more from the other reviews I had read.

Food was nice quality don't get me wrong, but chips were only half A bag, chicken balls in better were half the size of usual takeaways. Rice seemed A bit dry and to top it off - it cost £5:50 for four ribs!! 😠 Won't be ordering A takeaway form them again, that's for sure! Too skinny on portions and don't get half as much for your money as most of the other Chineses round here!!

At the peak of lock down we ordered a Chinese on a weekend and it was amazing as delivered in less than 20 minutes. Nice and hot. Would recommend.

After reading lots of positive reviews and recommendations on Facebook and The owner replied to my queries on Facebook . We ordered our 1st takeaway from there. They answered the phone straight away and food was delivered within an hour. The food was hot and delicious. We won't hesitate to order from there again

Awful! Salty black bean sauce, soggy chips and rice was dry and tasteless. First time ordering and definitely the last.

Based in the New Inn shops. Parking out the front. We picked up but delivery is available for over £8 locally. The lady on the phone and counter is really lovely and pleasant. Food reasonably priced. Best prawn crackers locally. Our first visit and very impressed. Nice clean outfit with excellent quality food. Would thoroughly recommend.

I have never been her physically but I have had food ordered from here and I have never been disappointed with the quality and the prices I would recommend here 👍🏾

The friendly owners have been here several years now and the food is superb. Whenever a"cannot be bothered to cook tonight" mood hits us we simply pick up the phone and ,more often than not,our food arrives within half an hour and, most often,sooner. The food is always delicious with good portions_so good we sometimes have enough to eat the next day. Highly recommend.

Been using this chinese for years. Staff are so friendly. All my food has to be gluten free which it is. It is delicious, they really look after my needs. Always a returning customer.

Typical Chinese, friendly staff and decent food. Unfortunately their health food reacting has gone down recently, hopefully they'll sort it out before the next inspection.

First meal at the Beijing I must say it's the best we've had since living in Torfaen for 6 years. I have tried quite a few takeaways in the Cwmbran area but this is the best yet. Ordered a delivery it arrived within the time I was given and still hot, at last I have found a decent takeaway.

I've had some lovely chinese's over the years but I must say this is by far the best Chinese takeaway i have ever had. I love it and so does the wife and kids, amazing food. The service is second to none too, always polite and always with a smile. That even branches out from the shop to the delivery drivers at your front door. Also I think is great is they will not take excessive orders to delay anyone's orders. If they say half an hour for delivery you can expect it in 15 to 29 mins and piping hot. We'll done Mr and Mrs Lee, perfect 👌🏼

i have tryed to order a meal from u but every time i ring it is engaged. I have been trying since 6pm on the 03/02/1915. please check ur phones. We order about 2-3 times a month. have missed my curry tonight.
