The food was excellent as always and good potion sizes. The service was on time and very polite. The venue is exceptionally clean and lovely, takes me back to my childhood when it was our local chip shop. Would not go anywhere else for our Chinese takeaway. Thank you.

Fantastic. Shop is neat, clean and tidy with seating while you wait for your takeaway. Salt and pepper chicken is spot on!

It's the only chineese that charges 5p per bag. So if you order say 4 meals to include rice and chips. Maybe 2 cans of pop it could cost you an extra 20/25p

Have been using this takeaway for many years, always had excellent meals and service. Have tried other Chinese takeaways but none would compare with this one. Top class!

I've been having food from Hisang for years. Never disappoints..special curry is the best with plenty of meat and Prawns and the mandarin spare ribs are the best around. Chicken chow mean is lovely too and the best chips. Just wish they delivered.

We have recently moved to Griffithstown and thought we would check out the local Chinese takeaway yesterday. The food was bland and watery. The best part about what we ordered was the prawn crackers. Both me and my partner have fallen ill since eating here with severe sickness and diarrhoea. I am 5 months pregnant so this is a massive risk to my health and my baby’s. Safe to say we will be avoiding at all costs and I would advise you do the same.

Been going here for 40 years now first the father now owned by the son, must be doing something right as its always busy.

Found this Chinese earlier this year as I was fed up of the average to poor Chinese takeaways you find around Pontypool and Cwmbran. What caught my attention straight away is the fact it tastes like proper traditional Chinese food of the kind that was around in the mid eighties, which I have been trying to find for many years, no garishly red sauces, curry that doesn't taste like that horrible mayflower stuff you find in Poundland, thoroughly recommend this takeaway, however, they are so busy they don't need to rely on deliveries, so phone your order through in advance, we'll worth a drive up to Griffithstown.

The crispy chicken and no crispness and also lacked any taste and was very greasy. The plain Chow main was terrible tasted off, like it was out of date. The Chips were very pale and extremely greasy, obviously cooked in cold fat. The fried rice was ok. Will not be going back and would not recommend.at total waste of money tonight.

Quick and friendly service. Food is always piping hot and tasty. Chips are first class and are proper chip shop. Would continue to recommend.

Have missed Hsiang during lock down. One in the shop at any one time. Queue down the road. Worth going at least 10 minutes before he says as very busy as just re opened. Food was top quality. Would recommend.

When Hsiang is ever shut we occasionally try other places in Cwmbran, Croesy and Pontypool but you cannot beat Hsiang apart from the non delivery and no card facilities but it's worth the hassle of getting coin out for. Read another review that gave a one star for people in the waiting area moaning about others but unsure how that's Hsiangs fault. Very strange. Anyway a big five stars from me and the Mrs. Best chips in any Chinese or Indian in the local area. You see them being cut up then fried. Taste amazing. My wife being fussy doesn't like peppers or onions. Not a problem ever. A good steady curry sauce. Great prices. Do yourself a favour and give it a go. Would recommend.

Excellent food polite service and don't wait too long. I have used it for years and never had to complain. Open various hours see Web site and closed Tuesdays.

went in for collect my food wate at least 10 minits all i herd from some woman gobbing off about some people all i wanted is to get my food and go not to sit and listen to her slaging people off want be going there again

First time I've been in area for approx 10 years but used to be the best in the village. Luckily enough its run by same people with same 5 star food and service.

Hsiang Yang has been spot on all year and this was the meal that beat them all. Always friendly and always efficient. Real chip shop chips. Amazing dry spare ribs. Would definitely recommend as the best Chinese locally. Nadolig Llawen

This is our go to Chinese. Certainly best Cwmbran or Pontypool. Food is piping hot and tasty. Friendly staff makes this a must. Would recommend.

Hsiang is a great local Chinese. We've been going here for a couple of years. By far our favourite. We always enjoy their Singapore selection as nice and spicy. Well recommended.

What a joke this place , chips like greasy mash so called him up and he admitted the chips were rubbish yet served them anyhow. Wanted me to take them back and would refund the chips only and leave us with just chicken balls and curry yummy . Been told Lee's kitchen in ponty has excellent food and better hygiene rating so will give them a go . Also will be looking to take this to EHo.
