We simply cannot turn down an opportunity to sample dinner at Tartine. The firm favourite on the menu at present is the bacon cutlets with cabbage and champ...a proper Irish dish...which is very tasty and satisfying. I've had it twice now and already I'm looking forward to it again so long as it remains on the Early Bird menu.

We came here on a Thursday during prime dinner time and it was about 3/4 full. Our B&B; hostess recommended this place (along with a couple other places) but said we might not get a table. We managed to get a nice table back around the corner, near 2 other couples, with several empty tables around us. I don't remember what we had but I do remember we loved all of it. The staff we encountered were excellent - would recommend to anyone!

Morton's Fish & Chip Shop

06/11/2018: Had a bite before climbing onto the ferry. This is a might fine fish and chip shop with a covered area to have a sit in. Staff very nice and made me the loveliest fresh fish goujons.
02/11/2018: On our holiday in Ireland, we'd thought we'd try the good old fish and chip shop, a institution in this part of the world.

The Copper Kettle

07/03/2019: Called in for a quick lunch but wasn’t sure if it was just a coffee shop. Pleasantly surprised with what was on offer and I wasn’t let down. Great quality local produce and presentation was super. Warm and friendly atmosphere..... lovely!
07/10/2018: Not as many in last Saturday morning as the holiday season is over, just weekend visitors calling in for a special freshly cooked breakfast and a cheery welcome from the busy staff.
