Tartan Tandoori in Edinburgh, City of

I've bee coming to tartan tandoori for a number of years, I have never had any issues, food is always hot a lovely and ready for when I want to collect, thw staff are all friendly and it's a busy wee place

Ordered an hour before they closed up and one hour later, nothing. Can't call because well they're closed. I guess they just took my money for nothing?

We’ve recently just “discovered” tartan tandoori and their stuff is delicious, great size portions and fast delivery.

Metal was found in mine and my daughters food, i actually almost ate the bit phoned and Got told we were Liars and he would send driver to check, the man then checked cameras to see that a man was washing the tubs with metal and some must of fell in. We have been a regular for years and won’t be ordering ever again!!!

I phoned up at 19.32 to be told my delivery would be 10 mins. I then phoned back up at 19.50 to be told it hadn’t left the shop yet and it would be 5 mins the delivery eventually arrived at 20.07. Shocking customer service.

Good food, very tasty, delivery guy was very nice too.. bit of a long delivery time, but it was a Friday night.. will definitely use again..

Absolutely fantastic. Kebabs completely made up and the most tasty I have experienced in a long time. You want a kebab? this is the place!

The onion bhaji was like an ice hockey puck, could barely even get a knife through it and the Korma that my wife ordered had no sauce on it. It was just a box of rice pretty much. Really quite poor

Food was absolutely stone cold, not nice or appealing at all. The food tasted very very bland and not worth the £50 I spent!! Very very disappointing

I deeply regret ordering from Tartan Tandoori. Against my better judgment, I decided to try their pizza despite the unappealing photos online. Unfortunately, the reality was even worse than expected. The pizza was absolutely disgusting - greasy to the point of being inedible and easily the worst I've ever encountered. The quality was abysmal, and I couldn't bring myself to eat more than a bite. This experience has ensured I won't be returning or recommending Tartan Tandoori to anyone. Save yourself the disappointment and look elsewhere for your takeaway needs.

Huge mistake ordering from Tartan Tandoori. Despite poor online photos, I tried their pizza. Big error. It was disgustingly greasy, practically inedible - the worst I've ever had. Quality was rock-bottom. Couldn't eat more than a bite.

Ordered a large portion of chicken tikka pakora and this is the most ridiculous portion size I have ever received especially paying £7 for this 14 tiny pieces of chicken as the photo makes them look larger than they are, Ordered them without salad so assuming they bulk the box with salad rather than the chicken you’re paying for!!!!! Wouldn’t recommend these to anyone as they don’t taste that good either and are like rubber bouncy balls… PLEASE AVOID THESE AT ALL COSTS

Extremely disappointing. The tika masa was tasteless. And only 7 small oieces of chicken

The food was absolutely amazing best takeaway I have had in a long time. The food was hot and cooked perfectly. Also the best Donnor meat I have ever had. Would definitely recommend this take away and the owners are very friendly and welcoming when I went to collect my order. Thank you

If I could give this place no stars, I would. After my 12 hour shift I needed something nice to eat. I really fancied a curry, not something I eat very often... Should have realised when I walked in the guy behind the counter was wearing a t-shirt that was so dirty it looked like it had never seen a washing machine. Got my curry home, there was about 7 bits of chicken and 2 mushrooms. It was watery and had no taste. It must have been the worst thing I have ever ate. Please stay clear of this place.It is the worst place in Edinburgh..

Food was awful, chicken yellow and rock hard like it had been sat there for days. Lamb was solid. Donor was nasty. Whole meal was freezing cold. Terrible

Safely the worst Indian I've had in my life. Ordered via Uber Eats and the delivery was the only good point! Food was barely edible. A bland watery curry with the smallest amount of chicken possible, ghastly bombay aloo (just mushy potatoes in oil) and a weird naan.

We Always order from here the food is always delivered hot and fresh and taste absolutely amazing! Highly recommend!

Nice korma curry sauce, but the chicken was extremely dry and tasteless. The chilli nan was also extremely oily.

only started ordering from here . first order was mince curry , pilau rice and chappatis . was great . fresh . second time was kebab calzonie and chips . hot right through . ordered large calzonie . done two days . delivered within 30 minutes .

Very consistent making great food and on time

Food arrived 20 minutes after the latest expected delivery time. All order arrived correctly. However food was cold despite living 5 minutes away, pizza was undercooked and inedible.

Very friend staff, ordered from here for years and by far the best kebabs not to mention it’s very reasonably priced! I ordered for collection and was done in minutes:)

Seekh kebabs were tough and rubbery, the worst I ever had. Naan bread was pretty poor, almost the worst I ever had! It's simple food, how can they get it so wrong?!

The taste of food was compromised by a delivery driver telling me in my face 'you are a funny man' on about 3 ocassions, rubbing in my nose that I made a comment online about him walking with a camera stiuking out fom his chest pocket pointing towatrds people. We had a short converstaion about this issue and I said to him if he understands my position -he laughed at me and said 'no'. So decided to call the manager and he was disconnecting my calls telling me they are busy. I will never order from those people again ever because next time I don't know what to expect but I won't leave it that way you can be asured of that. Harassing customers for making an online comment.

Was freezing. Disappointing when you need to put it straight into the microwave. Got a notification it had left and was over 20 mins before it was delivered. Not sure if it was last on his list before heading back to the shop, we’re only 5 min drive away.

Ordered nan bread with order but was missing

Again some of my order was missing. My last 2 orders were missing sauce and salad. I left a comment saying please pack the sauces.....and 3rd time lucky....they forgot the sauce again!! 3 orders in a row now I have had items missing!.

The driver had a camera sticking out from his chest pocket which I found strange. Not sure why would a driver be recording his deliveries but anyways. Ordered the biggest calzone. Had better from other takeaways than here. They cut small pieces of meat, put inside and when you cut the calzone everything falls out as there's nothing to bind it. Not too bad over all but that one not my fav.

As usual packed 12 inch box fully. Not complaining... oh well...just this one time. They make salads from onions only haha. A salad by Tartan Tandori - chop some onions, add some onions to that and garnish with a bit of onion. The amount of mint sauce made me feel that you may be struggling financially so this Christmas we will deliver food to you for free! Dominos gives more of their sp*nk than this and you know them - not too shabby with sauces there.

Pizza wasn’t cooked right, was still doughy as if was rushed & never had enough time to cook & come cold, mixed kebab come cold also I’m not happy with it.

Everything was cold. Chips and Naan bread were soggy. It’s a shame as they are normally good with the standard but this has put me off.

Food was just warm not as hot as usual but tasted great all the same after using this takeaway for over 10 yrs Rob Roy def my favourite

Food was good however they keep missing parts of the order. Last time they forgot the sauce for my kebab. I put it down as a genuine mistake...however this time they forgot the salad and the sauce for my kebab so it was very dry and bland. Disappointed with last 2 orders now. Thinking of changing my local kebab shop as it never comes with what I ordered.

Order was 20 minutes after the latest delivery time. Marked as delivered on Just Eat though, caused concern as to where it was. Eventually turned up. Lamb was substituted for chicken in a dish, too hungry to send back and complain. Poor experience overall but the quality of the food was decent when it did arrive and was accurate.
