Wonderful place for lunch. Food was great, big portions for tapas and the friendliest service ever! Will definitely be back.

Came into the venue last evening for Valentine’s Day. My husband and I were then seated at a high top table, and given a glass of complimentary Prosecco, the waitress who came over, didn’t give me her name, but my husband recognised her from when the establishment was called Heidi. She was lovely, had fantastic recommendations and also gave us a little bit of backstory on where the different foods were from in the different regions of Spain which was very impressive. Unfortunately, our fish order took over one hour and 15 minutes to arrive… leaving us hungry and bored. The waitress came over frequently to communicate her Apologies from the kitchen and offer us complimentary drinks and to be honest had she not of done this I would’ve left. Over hearing some of the other couples conversations it was apparent that the only thing that was saving the restaurant from multiple walkouts was the exceptional hospitality from a couple of the waiting staff. I will definitely have to try tapajax on a quieter evening. Shout out to the waitress with the lovely gold rings. You were superb.

Tapajax is new to Balham and so we wanted to try it. The service was very nice - our waiter was friendly and helpful. The food was really average. The dishes were a reasonable size but just very average. The patatas brave were so overcooked that they were like crisps and the croquette were also overcooked. Everything seemed fried and not very healthy. Very poor choice for vegetarians. We pay £50 each for wine and very average snacks and wouldn’t go back.

Stopped off here for coffee and cake, lovely little Tapas bar, the staff were friendly and the cake was delicious, tables outside for when the weather is good, would love to try the tapas sometime, would definitely recommend 😋

Every dish was amazing. The bao buns and fillet steak were the highlight. Service was amazing and staff so friendly. Would recommend to anyone!
