Uninterested staff " can I have a lager" walked pulled something " can I have a fruit cider " walked off opened a bottle No idea what I'm drinking larger wise could be skol for all I know ! Normally you get some interaction! We have a larger called (insert name) or we do a fruit cider with (insert fruit or fruits) nowt lol

Making a first ever visit to Banbury with Jorvic and Paulicarus accompanying us. We folllowed the canal down to this craft bar in the canal side shopping centre. Two idle real ale handpumps so had a half of craft Jobsworth pale for £2.60. After a weekend in Maastricht I fancied a less fizzy real ale option. Despite the outside canal side space I think the bar lacks a bit of character.

Having a craft beer place in a shopping mall is a super idea. The three different beers that we had - IPA, DIPA & stout - were all tasty. A pity that the server seemed to want to be at another place and wasn't welcoming at all.

I really enjoyed coming here and experiencing good service and having a good chat with the bar staff. 10/10 experience definitely recommend!

Excellent service! We ordered the only Lagers on the menu, and unfortunately they had the barrels wrong. However, after a quick review, they realised their mistake and gave everyone a free pint. Now that is excellent service. Mistakes are common in life, but admitting and rectifying mistakes are rare. Very pleased with the service!

This time we were visiting Pasta Delight, and once again it was excellent.

They're not always open, the service is poor. The food is acceptable not fantastic.

I recommend coming here to eat something 😀

Wonderful place so well laid out, all of the staff are so friendly amd helpful. The system they have in place for collecting your food is brilliant! plenty of choice and plenty of space.

Lock 29 is basically an area with lots of street food stalls and a bar. No atmosphere at all on the Sunday I visited. They a large tv screen but all to quiet.

Perfectly positioned by the canal and right next to our hotel. Great outside area for having a drink in the sun with occasional live musicians.

We just dropped in to have a look inside, and we liked the atmosphere.

Nothing special there not to many choices to grab some food I can say is poor .

We were staying on a short city break & as we cut through Lock 29 we were pleasantly surprised to find some food stalls & in the far corner Tap Social serving beers from Oxford. We were greeted by Joey who was extremely friendly & helpful. He asked what type of ales I liked & happily gave me samples to try. I settled for a wonderful pint of Excluded a Hazy New Zealand IPA at 6%. His knowledge & enthusiasm was infectious & he explaining the Tap Social ales haven’t travelled up towards Manchester yet but they are hoping to soon. For the craft ale drinkers please check this place out 🍺🍺🍺 I will be ordering some ales on the website.

A nice place for food but the staff tried serving poor beer and when questioned tried to bluff. A real poor show from somewhere that's normally quite nice

Wide variety of different types of food. A bar with real ale, all under one roof. Good value for money and always very enjoyable. Great atmosphere.

.. to most people to see locally brewed beer on offer in a food area of a small shopping centre. They close early most days so this was an afternoon visit. Quiet but the beers we had were very tasty.

Lock 29 has improved and was very busy with it being next to the canal a well worth a visit

A really nice place, it was miserable outside and we enjoyed our time there nd in the mall, had good quesadillas from the burrito stand too 👍

Great idea BUT it is dark and unfortunately the vendors there keep closing. I hope now that the light has opened they can sustain their business but they generally are a bit more expensive than the rest of the town

I've lived in Banbury for all my life, and have had a beer a two in most bars dotted around, this places is by far the best place I've had a drink, I really love the Yellow Hammer (Cloundy flat Cider) it's delightful.. And I get on really well with all the staff in Lock 29, as A Family we use the place a lot, the Staff behind the Bar are Amazing and do there jobs Extremely well.. From service to Answering questions about the beer, to just having a chat about life... TOP MARK GUYS GOOD JOB, Peter Black

Sophie and her team are so welcoming - I've been able to find a quiet table to enjoy a glass of wine, with the added bonus or bringing my son along too. Great service and good value drinks

Very modern, and trendy. Very good atmosphere. Best to describe it, Lot 29 is like a open plan office. The food stalls very good and reasonable prices. Definitely worth a visit.

A very unusual bar serving a good range of Tap Social beers and many other IPAs, Sours, real ale, ciders, wines and spirits. Part of the Lock 29 'marketplace' in the shopping centre and next to the canal. Fantastic friendly staff including Sophie, Amelia and Joey. As a Scrooge, I particularly like their happy two hours between 4 and 6 when a good selection of beers and wines are 25% off. Yes it's a bit dark and utilitarian but the seating is plentiful and comfortable. Live music in the Lock at weekends and frequent comedy nights in the adjacent studio. A brilliant asset for Banbury: what's not to like!
