Walked in for a few pints and some fish and chips. Fantastic food, beer and atmosphere. Very good prices, especially if you come in for a group of two. Will definitely be back before I head back to the states.

Disappointing, my mum and dad wanted to go here to celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary we were a table of 16 when we arrived there was food on the floor from the previous customers at our table, we were sat for about 40 minutes without any interaction from any staff, nobody came over to explain the ordering process so eventually we all ordered separately. As it was a Sunday many of us ordered roasts the food all came together with one waitress bringing out all the plates a lot of the food was cold we had ordered a side of extra cauliflower cheese which arrived after we had finished our main course despite me asking the waitress if it was coming and for her to tell me “I am doing sauces first” all in all a very below par experience at a above par price, won’t be rushing back

Paige and all the team aleays give us great service and very helpful. Food is so reasonably priced and very tasty.

Great staff, provided a wonderful Happy Birthday rendition for a friends 50th. Good food, hot and tasty. Friendly atmosphere, nothing was too much trouble.

Lovely pub. I enjoy coming here with my wife and sometimes my granddaughter. I enjoyed the beef and ale pie but also love the burgers. Would recommend

Excellent barbecue chicken X3 + 1 fish and chips cooked to perfection. With a sausage for our little dog Lilly. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Sorting out a table for 8 and our little dog. Thank you very much for a lovely evening Joe, Paige, and Lilly. (We had to ask their names because we just wanted to say thank you to them)

Staff were Fantastic and friendly, was my first time visiting this pub and I will definitely come back and highly recommend. Brilliant selection of food and drinks even my fussy children enjoyed it

I ordered 2 rump steaks. They were terrible. I took them back unlike most folk would not have said anything. th steaks were tough to the xtreme. The manager was brilliant. he could not be more helpful. He is a trus stR. He gave us our money back a told us to order anything on the menu. My partner Sandra had Fish and Chips. they were fabulous. I had Spicy chicken tacos. A wonderful experience. Top service. Will be back very soon

Popped in for a pint and the staff were lovely. Heard about their Thursday quiz and was interested in joining up for the next one . They all looked like they were having a great time I even asked for the questions myself. Well done to the team they extended my stay and I spent more money than I should've.

The quiz is a highlight of my week, I wish we could keep the picture when we win instead of bringing it back next week. Only bad thing is our terrible luck with the cards

We came to watch the football on the 12th of Feb and out experience was amazing. We got served by jess and paige and they were really nice, very quick service, they really went above and beyond to help us and they were a 10/10 would come back again.

Warm welcome. Excellent service and quick delivery of two excellent Hunters Chicken & chips. Piping hot with lovely fresh salad. IPA excellent.

The pub has a lovely warm atmosphere, staff are friendly, polite and attentive, they always greet you with a smile. Food is great too. I go there most weeks so they must be doing something right.

Very disappointing had a voucher for a free pint of Ice Breaker for 19th to be told they didnt have any. Then fish goujan wrap turned out fish fingers in only half of wrap not impressed!

Great for us, as within walking distance. Good food at a low cost. Good beers. Friendly staff. Only gripe, toilets although clean and not smelly, are well overdue a upgrade. Overall would recommend.

This pub is great for a get together with friends. The staff are really friendly and attentive to the customers. Good has improved over the years and their dessert menu is to die for. Really recommend this place.

We meet every Friday in the Tap and Railway. Always clean and welcoming. Beers are pretty much always available across the entire range.

Lovely pub, staff are friendly & helpful. Dog friendly. Garden is a favourite with the covered seating area and outdoor heating with large TV for all types of sports, as well as kids playground area. Would highly recommend for all ages.

Love coming here for the drinks and sport atmosphere. The International football is well worth the visit here

Love this pub. The staff are fantastic, nothing is too much trouble. The food is good quality pub grub served with a smile We have dropped in a couple of times when out on our bikes. If we lived locally we’d be regulars. The only pub I know that serves Thatchers Spiced Apple cider, worth the 40 mile cycle ride to sample it 👍😀

This is our favourite pub because we know we will get a really good meal at a great price. The staff are always friendly and there is never a problem with our dietary needs. They even had the alcohol free gin so my friend could enjoy a drink. Food was brilliant, cooked perfectly, we were especially impressed with the onion rings.

Came for Sunday lunch with my family, all ages catered for from seniors to children, we were made to feel very welcome, service was great with the children served first and lovely staff.. we will be back soon

Very nice food at a reasonable price. We went for the '2 for £13.95' main course meals and thoroughly enjoyed them! I had the crispy salt and chilli chicken which came with chips and Katsu curry sauce.

Awful service - unwelcoming staff - kids meal still frozen and dried up crudities - definitely not a child friendly pub despite the play area - or people friendly or dog friendly - shame as we had been before and had a great food and service - won’t be going again

Family of 4 on a Sunday. I had a sunday roast , husband mixed grill and daughter had mac n cheese and older son had a chicken sharer plate to himself . We all said one of the best meals we have ever had . Dog friendly and good price too and friendly staff.

We visited on a weekday afternoon for a drink and a main meal. We were greeted and served promptly and took our drinks to the outside seating. This is a paved area with a kids' play area adjacent. For our food we moved indoors and used the Greene King app to order. Again, there was only a short wait and our food (scampi and lasagne) was served and was hot and tasty. Sport was on the TVs dotted around the pub and it was easy to watch for anyone interested but not intrusive.

Went twice during our recent holiday in the new forest. Highly recommend this lovely pub, service was excellent and so was the food. Great for families there's a play area and covered outside area plus spacious and comfortable inside

We really enjoyed our dinner at this place. The food was good and quite on the cheap side. The kids could play outside while we waited for the meal. And the lady who served us was super nice making the experience tops.

Can't beat this pub. Was near my grandparents house. We still have family nearby and when visiting we go out of our way to visit as lovely food, lovely staff especially Julie and Joe. Also great place for kids to play and relax. Very welcoming. We are from Essex as this is a must when we come down to Dorset/Hants.

Five of us stopped for lunch here on one of our Thursday walks and we were all really impressed with the quality our meals. The price of the food and drink is seriously competitive (e.g. Thursday special - sirloin steak and chips £12!) but when you dial in the very pleasant staff it’s our new favourite place.

We use this pub regularly and have always been made to feel very welcome. Just had lunch, burgers, the food was 5* as were the staff so friendly and accommodating will definitely return.

Had a great meal yesterday service was easy to order and and as we booked was shown straight to our table, lovely menu and told roughly how long to wait which with us half an hour but turned up 10 minutes all food piping hot and that was 4 different dishes brilliant, there was no rushing to Finnish your meal great pub

Wow what a nice pub. Looked lovely from the outside and just as nice inside. Having looked at some of the pictures on the wall behind the bar, we got the feeling like the pub has been a family business for some time and dad and son were pictured. Nice friendly staff who were very sincere and accommodating. So we had two adult meals, chicken katsu curry and I had the ultimate sharer which was amazing ! Both the adult meals were fantastic and really good value. Out little one had what she usually had which was a burger meal. Although not a complicated meal to prepare, this one seemed to be put together and cooked really well and was enjoyed 100%. The adults didn’t have any puds as he were stuffed but the little one had ice cream and a brownie which really looked good and was a generous portion too. If I had had room I definitely would have had one of those too lol. All in all this pub had a lovely atmosphere and provided a really good standard of food and at a reasonable price too. We highly recommend this one!

This was the first time we visited in a few years. Easy disabled parking close to the front entrance. We were shown to a table that was suitable to accommodate a wheelchair. The menu was filled with some really nice meals all at reasonable prices. Both mum and I ordered the mixed grill with extra eggs on both. When our meals arrived we were surprised at how large the meal was. Both steaks were cooked exactly as requested and the other meats were of good size, moist and tender. If anything, I would have liked some mushrooms and beans, but we could not fault the meals in anyway. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and it was very clean. I don't know it's due a refurbishment but some of the furniture was tatty and has definitely seen better days. On the whole, lovely staff and atmosphere and outstanding food.

Our Server (Josh) was very helpful as was the Manager (Matt). Food service was quick and great value for money. Every time we’ve popped in, we’ve been looked after & will come again.

We bought friends here today, they loved the meal. Katsu chicken curry is just the best.

Went there with family. Ordered a steak, medium rare, came out absolutely beautiful.

We had called in for a light lunch. Sadly the food was not very good even after having waited 30 minutes for it to appear. The table we occupied needed cleaning, there were lots of sticky ring marks and the whole place looked very shabby. We won’t be rushing back. We understand the manager was on holiday, but this shouldn’t make a difference.
