Have visited this place lots of times with vegetarian friends. They have all loved it. The food is cheap, healthy, plentiful and very good value if you are hungry

We visit The Crazy Coqs, Piccadilly Circus every christmas to see a friend perform and we discovered Tao Buffet last year by accident. It's reasonably priced for London and an excellent vegetarian selection. We will be back again next year!

Staff were polite and helpful. Happy with the choice of food, and all dishes were enjoyable. Comparatively cheap and all veggie. I would go again.

Just around the corner from the Japan Centre and Piccadilly Circus, Tao Buffet is a handy find indeed. A small (~15 seater) buffet spot serving fresh Chinese and Thai veggie food. This is very good value for money and the sweet ginger tea is great!

He visitado Tao por tres lágrimas y me encanta.

Cheap and cheerful setting with tasty vegan buffet food, hot and cold, soya and vegetable dishes. Plenty of choice, tasted good and was continuously being refilled so it all tasted freshly prepared. The only downside is how small it was so we were quite packed in right next to other people. Very reasonably priced, you get a good meal for low cost.

Tucked away in a lane in the theatre district near Piccadilly Circus is this small buffet restaurant. It serves very fresh Asian (Chinese mostly) fare on a well presented and attractive buffet. For £5.50 you can have a selection of lightly cooked Asian dishes and salads with a fresh fruit salad for dessert. Other than this, there are non dairy drinkls such as teas.My only reservation was that the buffet does not have a hygiene guard so prevent contamination, but the wait staff were constantly busy spraying surfaces and the cafe is neat and clean. The dishes are attractively displayed and contain quality ingredients. If you are in the area I heartily recommend Tao Buffet. It opens at 12 noon and take away boxes are available for even less than the sit down charge.

We had a late lunch here in April 2014. We were the only customers when we arrived and the young woman who seated us was friendly and professional. Unfortunately the service after that was downright rude. The waitress sighed and clearly wished we weren't there. The reason I give it 4 stars is the fact that it was fully vegetarian (which was what we were looking for) and the price was good. A big selection of hot and cold buffet dishes, some better than others. I would go back for the food, but if the service was that bad again, it would be the last time.

We have been coming here, at least once everytime we visit London for years. We live in the NW UK, so to have a vegetarian buffet is AMAZING. It's not the Ritz, but it's good, mostly very healthy, buffet for vegetarians. They have fresh squeezed juice to boot and a lovely selection of teas...though I always seem to get the red date one. The Asian coleslaw and green beans are fav's. My daughter loved that they have very plain, fried noodles and spring rolls. But she loves having a selection of veggie meats in different sauces. The rice was nice and I really love whatever the green sauce is...especially mixed with the hoit chili sauce a bit. If you're veg and would like the novelty of buffet...it can't be beat. Up the road is the proper veg/health food cafe if you don't want buffet style. And the other place is VERY good...but it aint Asian buffet! And service has alwasy been friendly, particularly for a buffet. And they were busy the whole time refreshing the buffet and making sure it was tidy

This is all you can eat type buffet but choice is limited and everything taste the same. Chunks of soya are these cheap dried soya bits from any supermarket dipped in some sauce which taste like paper. I would not bother myself again with this place.

We went there with my girlfriend. The buffet was fine and people were very friendly. Don't know why the other poster didn't like it, but for us it was more than acceptable.

All the food tastes watery, lukewarm and soggy. Tiny selection of bad tasting soy meats. My girlfriends a vegetarian and said the chicken was ok, but other than that not very good.

I think this place might have closed now. I tried 4/5 to order over the phone then I went down in person but the place was closed. Feel sad that they've closed. Used to enjoy their food

No volveré

I strongly advise to avoid this place...the staff are incompetent. No card payment facility. The ATM didn’t dispense correct cash. The drinks are awful and the food is terrible at best ! Carlton Lounge is much better for Shesha and food and is in a much better setting, this place is more of a make-shift smokers den at the back of your garden...
