Tans Kitchen in Haringey

Ordered our takeaway before 6pm and waited for over 2 hours PATIENTLY when I got a notification to say it has arrived however it was a no-show. I live in a 24 hour security apartment building and the concierge always calls when there's a delivery however I called my concierge service and they said nothing has been delivered. I then tried to call the restaurant MULTIPLE times however it went to voicemail each time (I even left a message for them to call me back). I asked Deliveroo Live chat for help however they said they weren't able to get in touch with the restaurant themselves. Absolutely horrible service with ZERO communication - I wish i had read the reviews online before placing an order for me & my partner.

I have just ordered and eaten Special Fried Rice from Tans Kitchen, Archway Road. At £6.99 it was the worst value Chinese dish I have ever eaten, a full container of fried rice with the meanest portion of "special bits" I have ever seen, almost invisible within the rice. Such a pity as the Kung Po chicken was good for my friend. I am afraid as a local I will avoid this place and suggest that others at least avoid the special fried rice as a rip-off. Very disappointed.

Duck estaba irritable y fresco. Ramen también fue genial. Si quieres probar buena comida, entonces Tan's Kitchen es el lugar.

Hay din sum es bueno pero. . . También he tenido sus platos principales chinos y platos de sushi y puedes hacer mucho mucho mejor en Londres. Si está considerando obtener comida del sudeste asiático, no vaya aquí.

Worst service! Horrible food, they were 2.5 hours late, they first came to the wrong address, they were screaming and swearing at me on the phone even though they were at fault. I ordered duck and pancakes and the pancakes were uncooked! They refused to give me a refund and were very rude. Definitely wouldn't recommend. I hope they won't be open for much longer, I've never received a more horrible service in my life!

I am sorry to say that I would not order food with Tan's kitchen again. This was meant to be a special treat as I order take away literally 4 times a year! They could be forgiven if it had only been one thing that was not right but it was 4 at least. To be fair it was a Friday night and it was raining (but that is not unusual in London) and we ordered food around 8pm. The app said the wait was 45-65 min. I can live with that. When the food did not arrive at 9.10pm I called Tan as I wanted to check how our order was doing. He said that it was right with him and it was going to be sent out right away. I asked how long it would take and he said 10 min... I can work with that BUT nothing arrived even 30 min later. So, I called Tan again and wanted to know what the holdup was and he said that the order was out and even offered me 20% off my food order. So I said ok. We waited until after 10pm for our food to eventually arrive. When we checked the order with the driver present the food was cold and one main dish was missing!!! So we proceeded to heat up our food and shared what had arrived and we found it to be bland and just not tasty. My dish (that had arrived) was meant to have mango in it - instead I found pineapple (I don't mind but others could get into trouble with alergies for that). So I called Tan again and told him that our order was incomplete and the food cold and not as advertised. He offered 50% off the food price but I said that the whole experience was really not satisfactory or acceptable at all and that I wanted all my money back. He said that it was busy and raining (as if that could be an excuse. This is Britain!!!) He agreed (reluctantly - I get it; I am asking a lot) and said that I would get an email with the details. So here we are 6 days later and I have not had any money returned to me at all (not even the offered amounts) So I remain insistent that Tan really did not deliver in any category and also does not keep his word in an admittedly difficult situation. So, no thank you and I am waiting for my money!

We ordered takeaway from this place on a Friday night. According to the app, it was going to take 40 minutes, but the food arrived after only 20 minutes. The veg spring rolls were not great, they were small, and a bit dry. But the stir fried chicken with black bean sauce and chili was nice and spicy, and the chicken chow mein was tasty, with nice crispy vegetables, although the flavour was a bit too smokey for my taste.
