I went to JRC Wood Green yesterday to find out that not only has the times changed they are no longer open for lunch they open at 16:30 and the prices have doubled! Whoever decided this was a good business move is regrettably very wrong. I can’t see people paying the new prices. This needs to be reviewed and reviewed quickly otherwise I can see this establishment closing down. Food is good but not at those prices!

i will never go there again, i was just blaming myself why i went there with my family to celebrate my Son's Birthday, The Food was Nah, when we got there they received my Son's cake as if they will bring it with candle on, they asked to take it ourselves that we can't light candle...Even the price was too much for 12 years old to charging £26 as well

Worth! Good place to celebrate 🥳 birthdays, get to gather. Spacious, Large banquet to hold team and family celebration. Much Better options for food compared to all including Chinese one in central London, china town and other in Shepard bush. I will definitely recommend the GRC buffet for a good dining experience and the spread of sea food, continental, Indian, meditarian and Italian. All under one roof and the best part is the food is very fresh and quality. Good for it!

The food selection was great. I was happy with my choices.

I’m so disappointed in this place we came here with my 2 year old daughter and friends they made us pay half price for her and even the fries were so cold and dry she hardly managed to eat any. They don’t have any kids cutleries not even a spoon. Their taps are not working in the women’s toilet I mean none of them would turn on!!!! The desert section was dry and didn’t taste fresh at all. And I could go on an on… one thing for sure we won’t be coming back here again.

Shame they are closing their lunchtime deals. They will lose money. Vote with your pockets people and boycott until they reverse that decision!

Everything overcooked , chewy or hard. The make to order section over cooks & chops with everything tasting of curry. The breaded section was filled with hard over cooked produce. . Individual dishes were all overcooked, hard chicken, extremely chewy beef , overcooked lamb. Satay sauce inedible, chicken satay you could use as a door knocker . Fruits with no taste. Sloppy ice cream, dry , stale cake .

Worst JRC in London… food was very low quality. Very disappointing as we were also expecting more variety of dishes. Please just avoid to come because for the price, you can have a better dinner anywhere else

31/7/2024-Wednesday. Since the weather is so hit. My husband and I decided to have a relaxing buffet at this JCR restaurant. We have been to this restaurant over the past. The atmosphere of the restaurant is cold for this hot weather, quiet & relaxing which we, both has enjoyed. Their food were the same. Generous, huge varieties of choices from starter, appetiter to the dessert. Massive selection for dessert, too. The services were excellent. As soon as there are empty plates on the table. The servers quickly clear the used empty plates away. The prices of the buffet were reasonable, too. Highly recommended ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Disappointed no customer service they don’t know how to treat there customers and also charged me for my 2 year old when she never even ate food the food is disgusting prawns had a bad smell sweet and sour chicken was like water

Food quality has spoilt over the last two years. Previous management was better *alan and his team* I felt very sick and had to refuse in the loo. There was hair inside the ice cream and i must also say the food was very dry and not in the same standards this buffet previously was! Owell will definitely not be attending this place ever again! Avoid at all costs! Also they charged a 2 year old entry! Which was very sad to see! Go to wembley or basildon old owners are there. Thanks

Visited the wood Green branch with my wife on Monday 22nd July arriving at 1.30 pm. We were totally disappointed how the quality of food had deteriorated despite the lunch time prices being up by 50%. We usually get prawns , salad and fruit. Prawns didn't exist( arrived 5 minutes later). Salad was just cucumber and no fruit at all. Spoke with the duty manger who said the price of vegetables have gone up despite current prices being the same as precovid pandemic level. As for other dishes they were mostly chicken ( tried one piece couldn't eat it as it was tough). One good item was the presence of olives We will not return.

First time i came in this olace as I Live close by was absolutely awful,I already throw up nothing seasoned no taste at all not even the soup ! The waitresses keep taking the sauces from my table as well every time i get up I had to take soya sauce three times ! The steak it was so tasteless,everything almos with curry sauce (not everyone likes it) The only thing i ate was the prawns i try a bit of everything and i Left it on the plate it was awful very unhealthy for adults and especially the children's . We spend as a couple 68£ for nothing definitely not coming back and definitely someone should check the quality of this restaurant all the foods and the hygiene,even the plates where dirty and covered with water please someone check this place was the most unhealthy all you can eat in my entire life nothing had seasoning no salt no peper no taste at all and very cheap steaks and thin as well the escallopes where tasteless and nothing absolutely nothing tasty. Most of the foods was chicken and please dont try the cheese mussels the mussels loose taste in cheese

Beautiful place available a good menu, fresh food. Very nice place for birthday 🎂 and big families.

Went here once before, I think it's alright, I'd go again, nothing too special, it is what it is.......

Very poor customer service. I ordered normal sprite only to receive zero sugar sprite which i only noticed when a sat down at our table. I went back and spoke to the bar attended and the cashier and also the manager who stated they will not refund or exchange as I ordered it. I then stated that the sprite I saw on The shelve is not what I received he stated that once it’s open there’s nothing he can do. I then stated that the bar attendee open the drink not me and I only notice afterwards. Long story short poor customer service skills is lacking in woodgreen branch. considering I have been coming here since 2009 /2010 and the customer service has gone down the drain. needless to say I’m going to stop coming here and cook at my home

It's ok for a single visit. We went there a second time and it wasn't "impressive" as first time there. Tons of sugar in some foods.

I have a severe seafood especially shrimp allergy and I was barely able to eat anything this father's day celebration with my family. I asked the manager and the staff about allergy menu and if the food was fried separately as there could be cross contamination and even though the manager said that things were fried separately the staff gave another answer and said that I would eat it at my own risk. There was shrimps everywhere around the buffet and most things were fried so I stayed away from eating fried things,which left a small selection of foods I could eat as even the meat/chicken that were done on the grill for each person separately still were done on the same grill as seafood. I ended up eating a small portion of teriyaki pasta with vegetables and after that I only ate ice cream and profiteroles as I was sure at least that I would be able to eat without having the possibility of an anaphylactic shock. £25 wasted as I was barely able to eat anything of the buffet and only ate ice cream and ended up having to go to a subway to eat something after.

Food is absolutely disgusting. It was freezing. Someone was overcooked that's been there for probably a week. Be prepared to go to the dentist I wouldn't feed this food to my dog

It was awful, everything is spicy and it has a very bad quality. I don't understand what it promises. The price is very high for the food they offer. Fatty, bad and tasteless. Don't lose your money here!!!

Food is very basic, a lot of “iceland” type of food. Came for lunch with kids just to find out that majority of the food is not served during lunch. The most disappointing was thet they DO NOT SERVE DESERTS during lunch time. I have never seen a buffet style restaurant without the deserts, which is what the kids are usually looking forwards to. The toilets had very sticky floor and could be cleaner for a place where food is served. I think coca-cola was the tastiest of the entire meal.

I celebrated my birthday there, as a last minute, but because I had not booked 24hours before, I had to pay as well. The food was cold, it wasn't tasty, and it was clearly not fresh at all. My child could not really find anything to eat, even though she is not a picky eater. No drinks included (tap water only).

Love it , we enjoy the food we was surprised with the children entertainment 😀 but was great fun

I recently visited JRC Global Buffet and was extremely disappointed with the food. The quality was very, very bad. Many dishes lacked flavor and seemed poorly prepared. Some items were overcooked, while others tasted like they had been sitting out for too long. The overall experience was quite unpleasant, and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone looking for a decent meal.

A variety of food available, grill service was outstanding!

There is a wide range of foods, desserts, drinks and they even include fruit. Everything here tastes unique and fresh, and there are many sauces to pair with the food. I tried the sushi here and I loved it. The desserts are great too. Staff are friendly and hardworking, quick to take away plates. Place is spacious too, and wait wasn't long. A nice and cozy atmosphere.

A good place for intercontinental cuisine

The worst experience I have ever had the food is coold the grilled fish soo watery because from lidl for 2 £ service useless. I f someone he want to try please don’t waste you time and your many plus noooo hygiene at all

Nice place but food I find taste strange

Staff was lovely. Everyone was friendly. Some dishes were delicious some awful. So it was a mix bag. However there is a lot to choose from. My favourite was selection of seafood, tofu and veg. Boys liked the beef, noodles and eaton mess. We thought that 23£ was fair for what we had.

Food was average, also went on lunch time and there was no deserts, when I asked if there was going to be desert they told me it was only on dinner time which I find ridiculous. The only good thing about this place is the music choices and the staff is lovely.

Food was of very poor quality and taste. Options are quite many but not really tasty and we don't feel like going for a second serve. The dessert are also poor quality and taste. Overall a disappointing experience.

Used to be a really good place before but last few years the service and food has gone down. The chiefs especially at the grills over cook food and can't tell difference type of meat. It's a shame but always comes down to management.

We were at their dinner buffet on a Monday night and had a great experience. At £23 per head it's good value. It's not a Vegas-style buffet (mainly South East Asian, Chinese and Indian) but then it was not priced like a Vegas buffet either (usually $80+ before tax and tips). We were pleasantly surprised by the range of food and the quality of food as well. The grill was fantastic: love the cook-in-front-of-you steak, very tasty and marinated just right. At the grill they also have scallops, octopus, lamb chops, etc. so just ask whatever you want (two items max. per visit to the grill, but you could go back as many times as you wish). The chef did not overcook the food, which was great. The red curry beef was tasty and tender also, and the garlic French beans and stir-fry broccoli was done just right (crispy). The vegetables were particularly a surprise as most places of similar price tag would just boil them making them uneatable / soggy. The Tom Yum soup was authentic with plenty of seafood. Watermelon was sweet and juicy, and we enjoyed the vanilla ice cream as well. All delightful. All hot dishes was hot and freshly cooked and refilled quickly, and I didn't sense any of the food was re-heated. Some dishes should be avoided though: the "sushi" - pudding rice was used instead of sushi rice, the corn soup - way too sweet, the aromatic duck - the meat was shredded to almost powder-like so I wasn't sure what I was eating :). The place was clean, the toilets were clean, the staff were professional and efficient, and cleared plates and cleaned floors of accident spills by customers promptly. It was a Monday night and by around 7pm it's 70-80% full, so it seems to be a popular place with the locals. Would have given 5 stars but had to take one down: whilst the plates were cleaned, they still have water droplets on them, meaning they were washed and cleaned, but not dried properly. This could be an area of improvement. Overall, an enjoyable dinner, good value and would recommend. Worth knowing: at the time of our visit, their child pricing policy (stated at the entrance) was: the child must be under 12 AND under a certain height. So both conditions must be met to get the child discount. So be prepared to pay the adult price if your child is blessed in height.

Nice restuarant, but when they are 30 minutes to closing the staff always "ensure" to show that they are closing making you feel uncomfortable and get out of the restuarant.

love this place and the amazing food lots tp choose from be aware if you have tall young children.. they do not have child price.. it goes by height of the child for the price.. unfortunately my daughter is very tall from young so adult prices for us food is well worth it though!

Lunch is good price. Food is good. Mainly chinese, indian and english. No sushi or italian. Only ice cream for dessert. We asked for an alternative such a piece of fruit since we have someone who couldn’t have dairy which they refused.

Staff was really rude, I went with a large group for a family function and one of the guests were racially profiled in the middle of the restaurant. a lot of the fried foods were dry and chewy, prawns were not properly cleaned and still contained the fecal sack. They had the cheek to charge £12.50 for a paper container for your own left overs and the nerve to say what you can and can't have in the container. I went to the bar to order a drink for my 5 year old and was 'almost' charged '£12.50' for a £2.00 fruit shoot. If I Wasn't paying attention I'm sure they wouldn't have said anything. Will not go there again, much nicer restaurants in wood green....like aroma this will soon fade into the distance.

Super rude 'manager' Shabeer. Came here with the family for mine and mum's birthday. We tried to call them to book the day before but they were not picking up, tried again early morning on the day and we were told we don't need a booking because it's not that busy. We all came here that day with our IDs to take advantage of the free entry for birthdays to which the manager said because we didn't book we couldn't have the 2 entries for free. We tried to explain but his stinky attitude was so dismissive we walked out to go to another restaurant. Unfortunately for us the child with us had her heart set on the buffet so we went back in and just paid for all of us, even though 2 of us should have been free. My mum told him that he shouldn't be rude on someone's birthday and he ended up letting one of us have free entry rather than both. Clearly he could have done this from the start or even allowed both but he would clearly rather dampen the mood first.

Worst food I’ve ever eaten. I would compare it to Iceland ready made frozen food- even that is probably better. Food was old and stale. Everything was extremely sweet and salty. Hygiene is horrible and the toilets were so disgusting. I’m actually shocked at how people eat here and how this place is even running. I ate a ‘scallop’ that actually tasted of gasoline it was so weird. I wouldn’t even pay 5 pounds for this place let alone 24 pounds.

It's ok to visit there with your family but and is a big but because for the management to ask children under 12 years old of age to pay for a full adult rate just because they are taller than their age, leaves a big question mark ❓️ on their services they provide.

What more can you ask for you literally have every type of food you could think of in that moment and the quality of it is Amazing too! Great atmosphere Great for birthdays date nights or just for lunch and dinner. The price for what you pay is perfect in my eyes I wouldn't miss out on it I have been more than once and will definitely go again

Typical standard buffet food with a large variety of choice. The grill sections are good, much improvement compared to previous years. I went here for someone's bday who gets it for free with a table reservation. I would recommend this place for families and parties as it caters towards bigger crowds.

The staff and the restaurant ambiance was top notch. In terms of food, I would say their Wembley branch was much better and had much more variations. For example: BBQ lamb shank was not available here which was the best food in Wembley JRC.

Nice food and very overcrowded when I went there

I love the relaxing not too strong illumination, good enough to see what are you eating and the cleaning level of the place. In the food area the lights are stronger. The staff is polite, very helpful and professional. The food is delicious and the variety is very good for me. More options of dessert in weekend (the chocolate cake is the best). In working days the diversity is poor. Is not a very cheap place for blue collar's pocket, but it's a good value for money. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Despite reading mixed reviews, we decided to give it a try due to claims of new management. Upon arrival, we were greeted by an odd sight – a security guard at the door and a door with smashed-in glass. Our party included over 30 people, including children. When settling the bill, we were informed that my 12-year-old niece had to pay the adult price of £26. This was surprising, as there was no indication on the website about such a requirement. Upon discussing this with the cashier, we were met with rudeness, and the manager joined in, insisting it was because of our niece's height. Attempting to reason with the manager was futile as they dismissed our concerns and even suggested she could be 18 based on appearance alone. It was disheartening to experience such unprofessionalism on my mum's special day, especially considering the manager's history of rudeness, as I later discovered. To make matters worse, the staff handling food were not wearing hair nets, raising concerns about hygiene standards. The security guard's inappropriate comment only added to the overall negative experience. It's disappointing when a celebration turns into a regrettable encounter due to poor management and service.

The most disgusting place I have ever been to in my life . I had to pay adult price for my daughter who was 12 years old. The Chinese girls who took payment was so rude no manner or respect need to be trained in customer service no class. The security guard at the door was so rude need to learn who to talk to paying customer's. Let's talk about the manager (Chinese guy) has no home training no manner don't know how to talk to paying customer's or women no class you need to be fired asap possible,you need to work at a Job with no customer interaction. Let's talk about the food very salty oil y taste like the food was reheated not fresh plates dirty had to clean it myself. I had a few spoon and couldn't eat any more. I did not try any dessert looked disgusting and old. I also witnessed a waitress drop cutlery on the floor and put it back on the table absolutely disgusting. This place is horrible.You pay by height and my daughters 12 and is 5’5 and she had to pay adult price.The food was the worst.NEVER GO HERE.The next day I threw up and the manager should be in jail and shouldn’t even have a job with that attitude. I also saw a staff member drop cutlery on the floor and even though it was dirty they gave it to a family.All the good reviews are FAKE.Don’t come to this place if you wanna stay SAFE. Also the food was greasy and salty.

Lamb items are chewy. Dimsums are missing. Very limited items, especially for vegetarians.

Not a bad selection at the start of lunch service, 12.05pm. Shame most of the food was either just warm or not very warm.

Good value, 90% of the foods great, £15 a head, free ice water...good service..what's not to like? Perfectly placed for a pre cinema meal 😀 Price has gone up a lot in last 18 mths but lunch still good value overall...supper at £24 a tad high tho...but you get better options...

The food that was there was tasty however it is by no means a global buffet the only food that was available were Asian cuisines mainly Indian and Chinese. The only other foods were a sea of brown fried foods like chicken nuggets and chips all of which you would be better off getting at home. Deserts consisted of canned fruit and a limited range of ice creams again all stuff that would be better at home. I definitely will not be returning.

Went for a work dinner the food and staff were great! So many dishes to choose from, Chinese, Indian, Thai, sushi etc. , only didn't give 5stars as the toilets weren't great, and there where alot of screaming children, I know that's not the restaurant's fault but after 10 minutes of trying to hear people next to u talk and u can't because of the screaming gets annoying lol but it didn't ruin the experience we had a lovely time💋

I was very disappointed I use to like having dinner there but it seems since management has changed the level has also downgraded.The place itself is quite filthy,the toilet "ladies"is dirty It looks like nobody check them and clean them.On top of that there was a mouse in the restaurant unbelievable!!!The foods are not yummy anymore taste like they are not fresh and that they have been reheated.The choice of desert is appalling.There are more can fruits than fresh fruits.And the sushis are awful.I will not go there anymore after spending £22 for a buffet that is not worth it.It is a rip off.The only good thing is that the staffs are friendly and that the person who was on the grill was very nice and did a very good job.The menus should be reviewed and more freshly prepared foods should be provided.

I went with my friend today and from the website it advertised “global food”, so I was expecting variety of atleast 3 different cuisines. When we arrived and paid before hand it was just Chinese and Indian food. I reluctantly picked one plate of food and had a couple bites, it was all dry, greasy and over salted. I then proceeded to speak to the manager about getting a refund and he started to treat me with such hostility even though I hardly ate my first plate. Terrible customer service and false advertising will not be dining again.

Incredibly disappointed The title is JC GLOBAL buffet The restaurant has nothing but Indian and Asian cuisine which me and my partner were not in the mood to eat . We had one plate each and as I come back from the bathroom The assistant manger escorted us out very openly in front of everyone and proceeded to call us she , Didn’t like the food ,she said this to me , she asked if there was anything other than Asian and Indian cuisine INCREDIBLY disrespectful As a matter of fact we are ladies and it was quite obvious that the assistant manager was offended that we did not want to eat JUST Asian and Indian food . He made a scene and was very impatient and rude and essentially kicked us out even though we weren’t in the wrong

Went there with my wife and kids. Worst food I’ve ever had. Honestly it was terrible. My wife’s pregnant and you could see that from a mile away. Now you can understand when dealing with 2 other babies who are 2 & 4 it can get a little hectic especially when it had been our first time at this Resturant so we didn’t know our way round ! Now I totally understand what self service means but my wife only asked if she could get a spoon and the waiter pointed out where she could get it from. All I said was it would have been nice for the waiter to just assist on this occasion but the manager who I believe is the owner rudely interrupted and said this is a self service buffet you have to get everything your self. It’s the same manager or owner who’s been rude and arrogant to all the bad reviews on these posts!!! He clearly doesn’t know how to treat his customers! He doesn’t know how to speak to people! I said you can clearly see she’s pregnant and it wouldn’t have hurt anyone to help her out while I was dealing with my other child. That really upset me. The way he spoke back was totally rude and wasn’t a friendly at all. As for the food, it was terrible. Tasteless with no flavour what so ever. Felt like eating chicken in water!I won’t be back ever! Staff are only there to clear plates. If someone wants a napkin ud be asked to go get it your self by the owner. Shambles ! Not worth the money either!

I had staff Christmas lunch with my colleagues and we had a great time. Food was good, loads to chose from, staff welcoming and the atmosphere was serene. Drinks are sold separately

Spent £45 for 2 of us and wasn’t worth it at all the food is terrible their, salt and chilli chicken was hard as rocks could barely bite into it and the cakes were terrible aswell , not worth the money could of got better food elsewhere wish I did.

Disappointed, I went a couple of times over the years with family. And It was okay, less options now and absolutely horrible. Wouldn’t recommend to any one.
