One of the Best place for kebabs , Donners and Burgers 🍔 in Whitstable & tankerton area. Specially Fries 🍟 are awesome . Highly recommend atleast try one time then you will come again. Friendly staff.

Best doner I have had in years, especially with the garlic sauce! The salad was a genuine highlight, thinly sliced and perfectly balanced pickled flavour.

Large order, a lot of it was wrong. Red cabbage covering an entire meal we’d asked for it to be removed from. Why bother giving options if you’re just going to put everything on it anyway? Food missing from order but as it was already cold and we were ravenous we just made the best of it. Will not be using again.

Stood there 12 minutes before guys at the counter noticed me and my mrs standing waiting to be served. Had to force to be attended to by asking if the food was halal. We needed 6 pieces of chicken. He only had three which was small and looked dry on the display which wasn't hot . Offered to make 3 fresh pieces instead of 6 fresh and refused to listen to my mrs choices. Mrs requested fresh 6 leg and thighs but he insisted us to take the old dry pieces with 3 new pieces of his choice. All this without looking at us with respect but looking at other customers . Why pay for something of his choice? Extortionate prices. I'm the paying customer! Disgusting attitude & very rude to me & my mrs & DIRTY LOOKS! No service..No customer! Simples. Lucky I didn't flip the way he spoke to my mrs !!

Ordered takeaway. 21 Oct 23 Small chips, large chicken doner and double pounder burger. £16.80 Portions are big. Beware. I ordered way too much. And I was starving. Don't make the same mistake I did. The normal sized chicken doner with small chips is more than enough for most male adults. Burger was disgusting tasting. I binned it. Pitta bread is placed under the meat and salad in the chicken kebab. It was very soggy from the sauce. Salad was fresh. Chicken had hard black bits in it which I had to pick out. Otherwise tastes OK. Chips were decent. This is my 3rd time eating from a kebab place in my life. It's very unhealthy and not that tasty. And expensive. Cash in hand only

I stood there for 10 minutes with my Grandson and tried talking to staff to get served but nothing. Had to leave and go elsewhere. So rude and unhelpful. Won't be back.

Awful, aggressive customer service waste of money . Being muslim we were looking for only halal food shop . We kept on waiting for our turn. No one did eye contact, and we had to call him to be noticed. There is no respect for Muslim customers who genuinely need halal food. Avoid at any cost.

Another fast food establishment avoiding tax by accepting cash only! And we all wonder why the country is in the state it's in! Staff were rude and unfriendly and all extras like sauce are charged for! The food was actually reasonably decent, the portion sizes are very small though.

We’ve ordered from Tankerton Kebabs for years but it’s gone gradually downhill over time. Our most recent order took 2 hours to arrive despite being told it would be 50 minutes. When we rang after 1.5 hours they said it had just left. However, the temperature of the food when it arrived was so cool that it must have been on a sightseeing tour of the local area for at least 45 minutes. Two of the three meals were incorrect, lacking sauce but with other items added that we’d specifically asked not to have. Plus, it was all very poor. It left a horrible aftertaste that could only be remedied by cake. If I end up with food poisoning I’ll be sure to update this review. Even if I don’t, I won’t be wasting money ordering from here again.

Real Gentleman running the business. Warm and friendly staff. Freshly cut doner meat and chicken meat from the kebab at my request. A huge superb meal, the best I've ever had. Very competitive price. Kind regards Shane.

I drive 5 miles to use this kebab house and it's worth it! Excellent chicken and lamb doner, salad fresh, chips crisp and chilli hot! Only takes cash but there is s tesco cash machine almost opposite. I believe they also do just eat for deliveries

As a connoisseur of kebabs, I always look to try a new shop everytime I stay at a new place. Staying in Whitstable, I choose to try Tankerton and I was not disappointed. The doner meat was excellent and the salad was fresh. Special shout out to the chilli sauce which was homemade and very tasty. The homemade Baklava was also very good. Would definitely recommend this for kebabs.

This has to be the worst kebab shop I've ever been to, I've had to have a word with myself as I've ordered here 6 times in last 12 months and I keep saying I'll give them another chance as it's the only kebab in town. I suffer with horrendous belly aches after each visit. I've tried every meat on offer and it's all so dry and chewy. I've never met such rude staff too, when preparing my food the guy was constantly starring at my wife so badly he missed the chips with the salt and she went outside to sit in our car. They dint value their customers. The chips are always under cooked, sauces are watered down but its the doner meat that really takes the biscuit, its like rubber, under cooked and tastes of absolutely nothing. Avoid at all costs

Awful. PLEASE do not eat here! Every time I go to Tankerton Kebabs I regret it. I don’t even know where to begin. I wish Google would allow me to give no stars. The food is always terrible, The meat is chewy and just disgusting. On top of this they don’t even put a kebab together, it is a pitta bread chucked into a box with everything piled up on top of it. The staff are incredibly arrogant and rude and the service is dismal. The biggest problem with this place is they are the only kebab shop in Tankerton so it seems they can serve up whatever they like and people will accept it, which clearly they do. What Tankerton really needs is a proper kebab shop to show them how it’s done and create a bit of competition and provide people with a good quality meal.

5* for service and chips! Not long ago visited for a late night portion of chips - staff were extremely pleasant and lovely. I would def go back to to try a kebab :) thank you

Let me start by saying I've used this place many many times over a long time. BUT due to how they treated my partner over THEIR screw up will result in me never going there again and telling everyone else to do the same. Basically we ordered to collect, I picked it up as normal and all seemed fine. We opened the bag and the salad was fine, all is going well,  then we find the £2.30 cacik was missing (not the end of the world I thought) Opened the burger, it was wrong Opened the chips, they were soggy and wet Opened the onion rings, they wasn't even cooked! So now we arnt hungry, the moment has gone. So my partner phoned only for the guy to get defensive and say he won't issue a refund because the boss isn't there...come in tomorrow. Quite rightly she states she'd rather do it now and prove we haven't eaten the food etc etc.. He reluctantly after 10 minuets on the phone  says okay. We go back, he gets overly aggressive because we don't want a fresh order we just want a refund as we are entitled. He then blames the just eat delivery for taking too long and that's why it's soggy (remember I picked it up personally) so he is lying to our face. He then trys saying we've eaten the food and won't refund (its untouched) Next starts getting the hump and repeatibly saying he will never ever refund  again in an angry manner as if it was us the didn't cook the food right.... So basically you have lost a frequent loyal customer because you think it's okay to try to belittle and bully my partner into not wanting a refund for your screw up. Utter disrespect

A takeaway collected by myself. Quick service by friendly staff. Having now used this place on several occasions over two years i’m happy to say it doesn’t disappoint , freshly cooked, fresh generous portions tender meat. Keep it up lads 👏

I have had many a kebab from this establishment and enjoyed it everytime always surprised by how much you get for your money with brilliant flavours, I've had many of their sauces which are all lovely although, some couldn't handle the spicy sauce. Good quality meals, affordable price and fast service overall good experience!

Awful.... when they first opened they couldn’t be beaten.... now though... avoid! We keep giving them chances and the last three times all have been bad.... late food, not the complete order, over cooked and poorly cooked food and terrible service on the phone..... they quoted 40 mins.... they phoned after 50 asking for the postcode and said it was just leaving.... when I argued they hung up the phone one me.... phones 20 mins later to be told would be leaving within 10 mins.... and still missing part of the order.... real shame as used to be amazing

Probably the best kebab in Kent, always friendly and good value too.

Not the best place but not the worst even though we gave the postcode over the phone some how the driver could still not find us dont know what more you can give then a post code with and exact location. We asked for plastic cutlery the man said thats no problem turned up no cutlery so not great. To top if off the kebab meat seemed like it was from yesterday had a crunch too it wouldn't get a kebab again maybe try there other items.

Food lovely, staff very friendly highly recommend ..I usually have my grandson with me who loves the food here never disappointed.

Ideal place for a Kebab, plenty of meat, good choices and quick service. Only thing they need to improve is the over cooked Kids Burgers they’ve done 😐 but it’ll not be stopping us from coming back here for more food.

I have picked up from Tankerton Kebabs for 3 years now and then and have never been disappointed. Tonight we had one of the best chicken shish and Tankerton Mix lamb shish and chicken doner in wrap with salad, garlic and chilli sauce. It is a Monday and the place was really busy - the staff didn't have much time for pleasantries but once you get to know them you realise they are concentrating on the job and they know how to make a kebab!

No drink delivered with order. was told that someone would be back. guess what. NO ONE RETURNED. That means you have robbed me.

Placed an order 1 hour 20 mins ago for a delivery and we only live 0.8 miles away from the shop , hope the food is good

An hour and a half later after being told delivery will be half an hour food turns up cold missing sauce on ALL of the meals and missing a drink from the kids meal.

DO NOT EAT HERE wish there was a lower rating than 1 star, firstly, kebab was wrong after an hour, also when i called them back up to get a new kebab ordered they were adamant that the kebab was right...although i had the kebab in front of me completely wrong, so in the end i asked for my money back, to which the driver started arguing with me, i tried liaising with him in a friendly manor but he kept raising his voice and started to swear, his exact words were "i'm not f****ng coming, f**k you and your money"...i am highly offended by the whole situation and feel that it could have been solved without any derogatory language involved, highly advise anyone not to go here…

This is the best kebab shop around the whitstable/hernebay area without a doubt. Always fresh, made on site. Lovely salad, generous portion sizes.

Delivery slow chicken donna is terrible

Not much meat in the Kebab especially if they are busy, also watch out if you get sauce on the kebab no extra charge , but if you want it separate in pots they charge 50p a tub, all depends who serves you some do some don't. Point being if they can put it on your kebab at no extra charge why charge 50p for a small polly tub? They need to be consistent also in their charging structure regarding this.

OMG I had the best food and service of my life. Why we don't have as much of this kind of food and service in Louisiana. Man we order food they deliver that to our place for free also on the price that we order we got drinks on house. The food was delicious. I cant Wait to visit my sister in UK again if you know what I mean. LOL
