Tank & Paddle Heddon Street in City of London, Westminster

Made a booking, turned up on time (5.30pm Friday evening). CLOSED! Don’t think I’ll be coming back here again...

I booked a table for this evening as we were W route from waterloo to the Palladium. Really easy online booking and email confirmation but when we arrived it was locked up and lights were off!!

Expensive and altogether average, nothing that would want me to return. Staff were ok. Outside tables were not comfortable at all.

We visited with friends to celebrate a birthday and loved the look of the pub. It was a really comfortable place to socialise with great views over the river. The staff were lovely and made us feel like nothing was too much trouble and the food was delicious. We would highly recommend the pub and will definitely be back the next time we are in York!!

Great little setup here on Heddon Street, really good Wednesday pizza and beer offer for £10. Would definitely recommend for a quick and tasty lunch.

We only went in for a simple pint of beer and had to comment on the staff member that served us. Firstly I felt completely invisible, I thought he was going to ask what we wanted but walked right past us to deal with something else, not that big a problem but would have been nice if he said, “I’ll be back in a second”. He came back and just simply looked at us without a word. We asked for 2 pints of lager, which he poured, then input the value and handed over the card machine, no eye contact, no words. We paid, though I thought I would outstare him for some acknowledgement, he grunted a sort of thanks. I was so angry I nearly asked for a manager but unfortunately left it. The point of paying four times the value for what you can buy in a supermarket and drink at home is that you get a reasonable level of service, this was plain rude and he certainly didn’t want to be there. Thankfully the beer was good but I left thinking I wish I addressed this there and then but who wants a confrontation on a night out.

Found this place while waiting to enter the ice bar, had drinks and as it was a Monday it was 5.00 a pizza so decided to go back for tea! (There are different deals on each day) Pizzas were really nice and great value - probably at full price as well as they were a good size. Shuffle board table was good fun as well.

Stop in for a quick drink and sat outside. Super cool location - beware there are lots of smokers outside so if you hate smoke, this isn't for you. Posh address and great clientele.

Good beer. lots of local brews, expensive beer but you are just off Regent Street so that's ok. Staff were average and the whole place just felt average, nothing special.

Friendly and efficient staff, a good range of beers, fair prices and good pizzas - what is not to like? And to top it off they do great deals too. A good place to visit.

My friend had her birthday here recently. Tank and Paddle is located down one of the side roads in piccadilly circus, and if we weren't looking for it I wouldn't have known it was there so its definitely a good find. The place itself is very spacious and is decorated with funny, quirky posts. The staff were very friendly and made my friend special on her birthday by giving her a free drink and a birthday cap :,) The food is awesome! I had the mac and cheese with bacon. My husband had a pizza. The service was unbelievably quick! We must have only waited 10 mins for the food and our plates were cleared promptly also. The drinks were reasonably priced and lovely. I had a few pornstar martinis which were yummy! I would happy come back here. Theres plenty on the menu I want to try!

We visited here as part of a stag do. Great choice of drinks and really good staff. We had a little bit of food which also seemed nice. Loved the Shuffleboard table which is really good fun and free of charge.

We met here to have drinks before dinner. The men enjoyed the craft beer and had several gin and tonics. The place has a really nice buzz about it with several pub games available. Lots of seats. We went back after dinner and the place was packed so we sat outside. It was raining but there were plenty of cover and heaters outside. I saw the food and it looked pretty amazing. The service was great as well.

A perfect find to have a few drinks and unwind. Very popular so the food must be good and defiantly reasonably priced .The staff were very friendly and helpful
