Nice food, friendly service. Take-away is always ready quickly and efficiently.

It's not as nice as other local ones I've used.

Thought I’d give yangs a try as my usual Chinese was shut, Duck was good, chicken and chilli wings were good but the egg fried rice (how a Chinese can get rice soo wrong beggars belief) and black bean was awful and I’m certainly not eating it, won’t be using again

This is without a doubt the worst chinese meal I have ever had... everything was swimming in oil, we asked on the phone when placing the order if the salt and pepper chips would have fresh chillies/veg they told us yes, what we got was chips swimming in oil with chilli flakes from a shaker sprinkled on. The box fell apart due to all the grease. The chicken balls were half cooked and inedible.. we had egg fried rice which was also swimming in a ridiculous amount of oil and contained 2 pieces of egg... when we called to let them know how bad it was, the man on the phone was rude and not interested... I dont usually leave reviews but I hate to think that anyone else is going to have their money and time wasted on this terrible place.. AVOID !!!!

Good Cantonese to the worst pretend Cantonese . This food has got terrible over the last 6 months , if it has new owners they clearly decided they want to change to chinese instead of Cantonese. all the sauces are disgusting . Turned into a weak Chinese sauce. The portions are a joke,the prices have gone up, i couldn't feed a family of Jack russels , oh and check your change because they clearly haven't got Carol vordeman on the tills. Will never go back and tell everyone not to use this pathetic excuse of a takeaway.

Firstly the online menu is four years old, I didn't notice this when I was looking at it and I placed an order on these prices , so I was shocked when my order arrived and it was £10 more than expected. They need to update the menu pictures. Secondly the food. The food was very bland. The crispy duck was very dry and the hoi sin sauce was jelly and not a sauce, the beef in blackbean sauce was very watery and had very little taste, the beef was very tender, the Chicken in Cantonese sauce was again very watery quite bland, and a strange colour (pinkish orange). King Prawns with cashew nuts was the most watery, bland again apart from the Prawns which were tasty. The Yung Chow fried was certainly not watery, it was gloopy, it clumped together (over cooked) Chinese chicken curry was also very runny. The prawn crackers were not crispy. The food arrived sooner than the 45 minutes quoted which was good. When I rang through my order I felt that the person who was taking my order didn't really want to be there. We usually get two meals each out of a takeaway, not this time, the food waste bin will be getting what's left (which is a lot) Tangs were recommended by a friend, so not sure if the Chef was having a really bad day or not, but I will not be using Tangs again. The worst Chinese takeaway that I have ever had.

I have visited Tangs and ordered a number of deliveries from them over the last few years. The quality of the food has been consistently good but, over the last few months, I have noticed that I have been both overcharged and shortchanged (I was once served by a teenage boy at the counter who unfortunately clearly couldn’t count and just seemed to make a rough guess), and have had items missing. This is not an honest way to do business. My last order, however, was definitely the last - as I found two black, curly hairs, each in a different dish. Absolutely disgusting!

My usual Chinese takeaway was closed so I decided to choose here. Unfortunately wish I skipped the craving and had a pizza instead as the chips and sweet and sour chicken balls were full of dirty brown oil spoiling the food. The only positive I could say is the parking. Won’t come again unfortunately.

Fairly close to me is always lovely food and good portions at a reasonable price.

Had to change my initial rating from years ago, the food during a recent visit was absolutely awful and the prices are not at all competitive...

My favourite Chinese takeaway are definitely the best within the area.

There was mild in my food and had hairs in it it was cold and it came an hour late would not recommend

Ordered a set meal for two £24 -collection. The Barbecued Spare Ribs were 75% bone gristle. Spring Rolls were bland and soggy. Yung Chow Fried Rice was clumping - more like a poor risotto. The Sweet & Sour Chicken Cantonese Style and Beef with Green Pepper in Black Bean Sauce were very average. Will not visit again

Worst Chinese food we have had its greasy an well over priced , the chicken chow mein looks like a cat has played with the meat first .... Safe to say the menu is in the bin and will most definitely never order from here again waste of £48.30 😭😭😭. Would be a big massive ZERO star from me but have leave one to post ridiculous!!!!

At around 6pm I ordered a take away for delivery - chicken cantonese style, egg fried rice and prawn toast and a few prawn crackers. It had a bit of a funny taste but I just thought it was me being picky. Around 1:30AM I woke up being sick and needing to go to the toilet. This went on until 7am in the morning.

Had a takeaway here because Oriental Chef Silverdale was too busy but never again will we go here. The spare ribs looked like they were frozen ones with very little meat on them, and were extremely tasteless. My friend has also been unwell through the night off her meal. Now i think back I ordered from here before, and the food smelt of gas and was dry.

I had the most fantastic if not the best Chinese takeaway I’ve ever had!! We ordered many different things and everyone of them was a very high standard in my opinion BRILLIANT 🤩!!

Must say I was shocked at how terrible the food was .worst food I have ever had from Chinese take away food wasn't even edible. Asked for no pork but still had it in .chips and curry sauce also disgusting how they serve this slop up is beyond me wouldn't feed to my dog .my friend also got food same time as me also got chucked in the bin Food poisoning on a plate .wish I d read reviews first .dispointing really just moved to milehouse and was hoping be nice or even little bit edible

Had a takeaway from these tonight. Salt and pepper box had no flavour and soggy. Rice was mushy and the chicken in the chow mien was pink.

Absolutely tasteless.. £23.00. Never again

Orded food last night, best I had in England

Ordered food which was £6.40. Got charged £7.00 when I asked why the boy said there was a 10p bag charge and 50p charge for paying by card - I’m pretty sure this is illegal and is known as surcharging. No poster or anything to even say this. Food was nice but you can’t go charging people for paying by card.

If I could leave no stars, I would. Had from here few days ago. Food dry and tasted like oil. Beef was pink and smelt like blood, was red in parts and tasted disgusting I could smell something foul as soon as I opened the tub. It didn't smell like beef at all. Staff not welcoming. Wont be going here again. Really put me off.

Used to be a good takeaway, last night's crispy duck was a bad experience Duck wasn't right, made me ill, still am. Hoisin sauce is fake, watered down, sweetened and thickened .. tasted nothing like hoisin sauce I won't be visiting again, which is a shame, but it's getting worse as time goes by.

One of the Best in North Staffordshire by a mile. I was amazed by portion size. Piping 🔥 and extremely tasty. Delivery was relatively fast considering the busy night. Thank you 😊

This is undoubtably my favourite Chinese takeaway as the portion sizes are just right for me and the prices are just right for me as well compare to some other local Chinese takeaways/deliveries that are at least 2 to £3 more expensive for exactly the same thing. I highly recommend the special curry and also the house special chow mein.

To be fair I have had from there few times first few times they were loverly but the next two times including tonight the chicken curry was in stripes not like before in chunks and the noodles were cheap thin ones horrible will not be ordering nomore unless change to how they were first couple times chunks chicken thick noodles horrible

Ordering on and off with tangs for 10 years. In the beginning food quality was great but orders always had missing items and sometimes meal deals wouldn't come with everything stated. Have been short changed from them and charged incorrectly countless times. Chose to overlook it as food was nice. Even stopped mentioning it to them when they forgot things or short changed etc. But now qaulity seems to have gone down hill too. Last order was over charged, didnt think to check as youe expect it to be right. And food was not good. Chicken was mushy, i dont even know how that happens and the chow mein noodles they didnt even bother to make the egg noodles they just dumped the same rice noodles in it that i had with my soup starter! Thats the last time ill order im afraid. Not what they were and dont normally leave a bad review but to many times iv been short handed change or over charged. To frequent to be honest mistakes in my opinion.

Lovely starters, duck rolls and bbq ribs. Hubby had chicken curry and I had kung po chicken. Both very tasty but chicken was a bit over cooked in both. Would try again though.

I’ve been using Tangs for about 6 years and they’ve always provided amazing food and service ! Everyone in my family, no matter where they live in Newcastle/Stoke all use them! We highly recommend them to anyone wanting great food and a great service!

Food is discusting , cold , rude staff , tell you the wrong price and then when they come they don't send you all your food and expect you to pay for it again. Very rude staff who was on the phone! Won't be ordering again!

Shocking prawn crackers were burnt my chilli ribs had batter on for some reason I also had won tons with nothing inside worst Chinese I've ever had I didn't expect it to be good when I saw them put my ribs in the microwave before them going into the wok

It was lovely to find somewhere open whilst out celebrating new year two days early , chippy was closed. Had Noddles and chips with mushrooms , was nice .

This is one of the best takeaways in Newcastle-U-Lyme...and conveniently for me it is just up the road from my house. Everything I order is always delicious and the portions are really generous. Their BBQ ribs are the best I've ever tasted anywhere in the country and I travel all over the UK. No matter where I've been or what I've done I always look forward to coming back home and ordering a meal from Tangs. Delivery is quite fast too if you don't order on their busiest nights. *****
