We popped in for lunch on Saturday 30th April and our server Tom was brilliant. He was so friendly and helpful and catered for two slightly uncertain kids. One who was a little grumpy too. At the end of the visit they were in fine form and declared Tampopo their favourite restaurant. Massive thanks to Tom and the team for making sure we had a wonderful time. We'll be back! Xx

Un ambiente simpatico con una bella accoglienza. Cucina thai non sofisticata, mi sono piaciuti molto servizio e cha del cliente, buoni i piatti e conto onesto. Unico neo l’odore di cucina in sala.

I came here with my mum and was quickly seated. Brief descriptions of the allegations so my mum ordered a rendang curry without shrimp paste. Our server Aysha was lovely and welcoming. Would recommend.

We popped in unexpectedly and found the staff very welcoming and a good menu, with a seperate vegetarian one that had a wide choice. The food was well presented and very tasty. Would definitely go back. Had a bottle of white wine which was average and would stick to beer next time.

Very nice, staff were polite, friendly and attentive. Ate in and the bill for two with a shared 'for two' starter, main and soft drink each came in at £45 in total. Wasn't too busy, but wasn't too quiet either. Food was nice enough and came relatively quickly. Will certainly pop back in again.

Called in for a pre cinema meal and it is possibly the best place for it as the meal came to the table really quickly after ordering. This was no detriment to the food as it was fresh and tasty. I had the beef Rendang which was well presented on the plate and extremely tasty, I had an Apple and Elderflower mocktail which was refreshing along with the curry. The waitress was Cristina who was very knowledgeable about the dishes and very friendly and attentive without being pushy.

Returned after a long absence and was terribly disappointed. First though, the service was great. Sadly the food was terrible. The tempura vegetables used to be whisper light and crispy with a mix of green leaves and root vegetables. Now it was in floury, heavy batter which I suspect was reheated or kept warm. It certainly was not freshly deep fried. Just root vegetables, no Pak Choi or leaves. The spicy stir fry with belly pork was just horrible. I didn’t even recognise it as a stir fry when it arrived. Awful.

Loved the quick service and delicious food, using traditional sauces which added to the flavours. Will be back, if you like Katsu head here

It's a Wagamama style eatery. Open kitchen, long wooden tables with benches. Basic and simple set up but the food is pretty good.

A good selection of oriental foods...Thai, Vietnamese,Singapore and more.Helpful staff had good knowledge of the menu, the ingredients and spiciness of the dishes. All can be toned down to order except the slow cooked marinated rump steak dish. There is a drinks menu and a choice of beers.Service was prompt and efficient.A place that is a little different. If you want Oriental spice at reasonable prices in the Town Centre this is a place to try.

Love the new menu! Service was fast even though it was busy, the staff were friendly and we were well looked after. Highly recommend the Malaysian satay chicken and rice - the chicken skewers were juicy and flavoursome, the sauce was delicious and not at all greasy or too thick. My friend had the red Thai (chicken) curry which she said was also delicious. Only let down is the decrease in student discount to 10% (previously 25%!) but I suppose they need to match competitors who often offer 10%.

Having been regulars at their Albert Square restaurant, we tried their new place in Exchange Square, a few days after it opened. Has a very different feel (you may like it - but it didn't do much for us). Air conditioning was much too powerful - cool temperature, and very strong fan speed. Service was slow, especially compared with their Albert Sq place. Food OK, but as we tried new dishes, difficult to compare. All in all, whilst their Albert Sq place is somewhere we have gone regularly, we'll give this one a miss for quite a while. One can only hope our experience was teething troubles.

I had the chicken satay to start with, I didn't like the sauce as much as the old one.For my main I had chicken pad Thai with was delicious. The only criticism I have is I prefer my Coke to be served in a glass with ice not straight out of the bottle with a straw maybe it's just me being fussy.Service was very good.

Myself and my friend went for a meal at Tampopo restaurant in the Triangle shopping centre. We had seen the menu and was really looking forward to some authentic Thai/Asian dining. There was a twenty minute wait when we arrived, which we didn't mind. A member of staff offered us menus to look at whilst we waited. Alas, this was the only thoughtful act that was presented by members of staff.Once we had sat down, it was a twenty minute wait for someone to notice that we had not ordered any drinks. It was infuriating! I was trying to catch several of the waiters' eye to place our order. Eventually, someone came to us, to which I stated that we had been waiting for ages for someone. The waitress shrugged it off and didn't seem bothered about it. She didn't even crack a smile. The food was quite delicious. I had a Yaki Udon and my friend had a Tofu dish with noodles. The problem is, is that people pay a lot of money for a dining experience. A place which serves 2really good food will not be enough to keep regular customers. When the staff and system are more friendly and attentive, then give me a shout.

I went to Tampopo in the Trafford Centre, not sure if this is the same one! wasn't an obvious one at this location listed. Laksa is my favourite dish. The best ever laksa I have had is at Selfridges in London and Adelaide in Australia so I appreciate that comparing these versions to one in a restaurant in a shopping centre may seem unfair BUT it is the Trafford Centre, which thinks it's a bit special and it has an Asian quarter and it was £15. it had large prawns, shell on clams and all the ingredients you would expect but the sauce was thin and the balance of flavours was well off. it was definitely not cooked but an Asian person. My husband enjoyed his meal and the spicy prawn crackers and enemame beans excellent. Staff helpful and attentive

Visited Tibetan Kitchen the day after it opened & we were the first in. Had watched a YouTube video about the branch in Chorlton & found out about the Manchester opening on Twitter so were keen to check it out. The owner & staff were very friendly & the whole place was really beautifully decorated & welcoming. We ordered momos, a chai, brown rice with three dishes (butternut squash & paneer, chickpeas & spinach, and deep fried cauliflower with stir fried veg), and a stirfried veg noodles. The chai was really lovely & sweet with ginger & spices. The momos had a nice texture but were a bit bland. We did like it with the chilli on the side & when we asked for more chilli, we were given some. The cauliflower was really delicious as well as the stirfried veg they were served on. The other two dishes were tasty but there wasn't alot of paneer with the butternut squash dish. Veg noodles were tasty but the veg were a bit overcooked so were soft rather than still retaining their crunch. The chilli sauce added to the flavour of the noodles. Overall, we were glad we visited & tried the dishes on offer. The ambience was really nice as well & is a good place to visit for something different.

Overall, very good and tasty food. Quite generous portions. Specially Naan/Kulcha are superb. Though a bit expensive but worth the price.
