We recently dined at this restaurant in Manchester, and honestly, it was one of the best food experiences we’ve had in a long time. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the service was spot on — friendly, attentive, and quick. We ordered a variety of dishes including curries and biryani, and every single one was absolutely flawless. The flavors were rich, authentic, and perfectly balanced. The biryani was especially impressive — aromatic, full of spice, and cooked to perfection. The curries were packed with depth, and you could really tell the ingredients were fresh and carefully chosen. Served by the main man Ali with fantastic service and a person who knows his stuff!

Absolutely horrendous experience — avoid at all costs. I went to this place with my uncle expecting a decent meal, but what we got was nothing short of a disaster. First off, the service was shockingly poor — slow, disinterested staff who looked like they’d rather be anywhere else. No greeting, no attention, no professionalism. Now let’s talk about the food — specifically the malai boti, which was genuinely the worst I’ve ever had. Dry, rubbery, completely flavourless, and clearly not fresh. It tasted like it had been sitting around for hours before being lazily reheated. Nothing creamy, juicy, or remotely enjoyable about it. Calling it “malai boti” is an insult to the dish itself. If this place takes any pride in their food, it certainly didn’t show. For the prices they’re charging, the quality was an absolute joke. Walked out feeling frustrated, disappointed, and honestly ripped off. Save your time, money, and appetite — there are plenty of better places that actually care about what they serve and how they treat customers. This place is not it.

Nice Asian cuisine. Quality food and good service.

Today on Eid's second day me and my family visited this place, we find it a nice place with tastey & professionaly cooked food. The table service was wonderful and the prices are affordable. They cook most of the items while you wait or have starter and that is their spaciality. We recommend this place for a good Indian & Pakistani food.

Proper 10/10 karahi. Felt like I was in Pakistan again.

We went for iftari meal. Rang and ordered food one hour before booking table for 4. Food portions were small. Was told over the phone that one portion of curry is suitable for two people but the portions were too small for two people hence I had to order two more portions. Had to wait for main and was very hungry due to fast. Chicken tikka were 6 tiny pieces with a-bit of lettuce. While paying I thought I mention the portions to the guy at the counter and Ali (someone in charge) decided to intervene. When I told him the portions were too small for two people, he said that’s your problem. Wow, great response to customers feedback. Were given a-bit of a discount after the rude response. Food was tasty so thumbs up to that but think sometimes, they maybe running low on curry hence give out small portions. Parking behind the restaurant is bad, very limited space. We were blocked by a car so had to wait for some cars to go before we could leave. Won’t be going again.

We ordered chicken tawa with multiple items on it. It was £60 for 4 people. Overall chicken kebab was nice, wings were delicious but over done. Lamb chops were okiesh. There was some issue with food which manager did tried best to resolve. Overall staff was helpful. There is parking at the back of restaurant.

Food was extremely bad, of no good quality. Chicken Karahi wasn't cooked well at all. Kebabs were floating in water as if they were just brought out of the freezer. Fish and Chargha was coated with red colour that was left on our finger. Nonlthing was right about the food whatsoever. Money totally wasted.

Went there with some friends as it’s regular place for us, but the food and services has declined considerably. We ordered lamb Karahi both on the bone and without the bone but the taste was no where near what was in the past. customer service is even worse as they kept insisting on cash payment and lied to us their card machine is not working while it was.

I have been a regular at Lahori on Stockport Road, but my recent visit was disappointing. The lamb karahi tasted different, and the meat was tough. The food quality has noticeably declined, and, to top it off, we were unexpectedly charged extra for salad. They brought the wrong order twice, and when it came to payment, they insisted the card machine was broken, although it was working—they simply did not want to accept card. Overall, it was a frustrating experience. I will not be returning anytime soon.

It is very reasonable and very delicious! It is like the high end restaurant you see in malls but with an affordable price, and for me, a much better option and the freshness is really there. Their bread was so moist and the mains were fresh. Will really come back and will definitely try everything in their menu! Kudos also to the team and staff who're very hospitable.

Lahori have lost their taste. price is high which was acceptable due to quality of food but everything we ordered was tasteless. Will not go again

I will never recommend this place in any circumstances. I went there with my family every thing was disgusting below zero lamb karahi was just so oily no flavour, meat was stale and stinky, never seen masala fish like that has no flavour dripping with oil just dry crust horrible horrible experience please avoid if u can. If you don't believe me try yourself and you will regret forever.

Someone recommended me to try Roghni Naans and Lahori Channay from here, but unfortunately I was totally disappointed with the size of the portion of Lahori Channay and that of the Roghni Naans as well when you are paying £1.80 per naan and £6 for a small portion of Channay. I think these two items have nothing to do with their names. Channa curry should not be named as Lahori Channay and plain naan with few sesame seeds on it should not be called as Roghni Naan. Not Recommended 😡

The lamb chilli karahi never fails. It’s excellent and consistent every time. I’ve never tried any other dishes but we often go every weekend to Manchester just for the karahi and roti. It’s excellent. I’ve heard other dishes here might not be as good but it’s in the name 😂 stick to the karahi and you’ll enjoy it.

They RIP you off. When they hand over ge menu they don't tell you like salad they also charge . They should ask the customer first if they are serving something from their behalf and is chargeable. But on the end they hand over you big lengthy bill. No good service.

Fue muy mala experiencia vinimos de Bradford a Manchester que tenían comida insípida pedimos malai boti que era muy salado y deghi chargha que era insípido llamamos al gerente pero ningún gerente vino la comida era tanooo caro solo perdió su dinero y tiempo incluso hasta que el operador no sabía los precios de la bebida que cobró extra y discutió con nosotros

We went in to this restaurant and were amazed by the quality of the food and service , the restaurant was really busy fit a Monday night , we ordered a 2kg Lamb between four people and it was the best quality food we have had . Definitely recommend this establishment and will be coming back again.

Good atmosphere, nice sitting area, staff isn't very helpful but doesn't mean every single one there, food is good but not up to the expectations. Have clean and tidy bathrooms. Also, place for prayers available, small car park. Keep in mind that they don't accept cards most of the time, mainly dealing with cash

We order family platter in starters, lamb karahi and Chicken Biriyani. The kebabs in the platter were good and lamp chops were average, however, the chicken tikka, chicken wings were too dry and all tasted same. We were very disappointed by lamb karahi, did not tasted like karahi at all, the taste was very plane, not at all spicy, was expecting a lot but the it was worst karahi had in uk. Chicken biryani did not had taste of biryani, had lot of turmeric and more like fry rice! Coming to staff -too arrogant, no acknowledgment, no greeting, too bad service. Will not recommend.

My hubby got a portion of haleem. It was so smelly, and sour tasted. I've tried to call them, but due to closing time (still remained 15mins) nobody picked up. Never ever buying food from here again!

I went last night at Lahore Karahi I order starter and the main the starter was not fresh. Is cold I asked to waiter.your starter not fresh but he said to me we always make fresh but he didn’t listen to me and just walked away is name is Waqas ali and the service is very very poor customer service and when the waiter taking my order he walked away to other customers he was don’t care about me and when he come back he didn’t say sorry to me but I didn’t like this restaurant that are not give good food and good customer service they want to make money only very very disappointed😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡I will ever never go this restaurant I give 0 star

The food was of such good quality and we didn’t have to wait long. Everything was fresh and warm especially the naan, so soft. The service was outstanding with all the waiters being very kind and helpful. Would definitely recommend for families.

The lamb butter Karahi didn’t disappoint was really tasty, but apart from that everything else was mediocre. We tried a full charga steamed with spices that was tasting really dry from the inside and the masala felt like too much just sitting on the top. Their tawwa was quite disappointing too, definitely not having it again, kebabs were half cooked. The place inside can get quite crowded and busier at times.

Never order Lamb karahi single or large portion they will serve you lamb curry instead of karahi, this was said by the waiter after we complained that the lamb Karahi we ordered is not Karahi instead it's just curry with lamb and its cold. The waiter instead of taking it back they said "oh you shouldn't ordered single or large karahi if you wanted karahi you should have been gone with 1KG karahi thats fresh made" like seriously then why it says lamb karahi single portion. Anyway food was terrible and customer service was worst then that. Never going back.

Got 1kg lamb karahi, malai boti and steamed charga. The food was good, lamb karahi was amazing but if looked a bit more would be much more satisfying, malai boti’s portion was a bit small and dry overall okayish. Charga was the most delicious. The price is decent and environment is nice. Nice place to visit

Nice desi food and can’t go wrong

Ordered mutton and chicken Karahi, and they made chicken karahi in yoghurt and onion. Never had karahi like this, on top of this,their server was so rude and stubborn, insisted that this is their famous karahi and told us their customer are visiting from other cities and does not matter if one or two customer dont like it, when ask why chicken karahi masala does not taste like lamb karahi, his explaination was out of the world ‘ because it is chicken so masala can not taste like lamb karahi,. Forget about food but Definitely this guy need training on hospitality and customer service. should named it as ‘HAMARI karahi’ instead of LAHORI karahi.

Amazing food - nothing comes close to the quality of Karahi. Just one thing - please don't use dirty chabbay for the roti - just use a plate or something. They are clearly never washed.

As soon as we got in they took us straight to a big empty table perfect for us. After ordering, the food came after less than 10 mins even though it was so busy. The decorations and atmosphere was amazing, it felt like it was a restaurant in Pakistan. The staff were so nice they even took a picture for us. Can’t wait to visit again :) Definitely recommend!!!
