Tamaris Indian in Southwark

Based on some great reviews on Google we decided to give this place a go after a long day out. This was one of the worst foodie choices I have ever made. If you can't get the taste of a chicken tikka masala right then there must be something wrong. I could have rung the bag out which contained my onion bhaji and cooked about another 30 of them with the oil it contained. The chicken masala was literally swimming in oil also. We won't be eating here again that's for sure. By the way. Why are trip advisor letting the owner or chef of the business post constant 5 star reviews? Shabul K? Really. Thanks to the last reviewer who pointed this out.

We only ordered from here as our usual was shut. So abit dubious. But it turned out to be the best we have had. Food quality and ingredients was excellent. Taste was amazing. Delivered on time. Each dish was generous and as above.cannot fault anything.

Great tasting food in a far above average typical Indian curry house. Price is ok for London . Will come again for sure

Really good food. Everything arrived nice and hot, warm too to keep the meal warm. The Dal Makhani was so delicious, and the herbed naan was to die for. Would definitely return for again.

Working in Southwark area for the week, I fancied a curry one night so looked at recommended ones in the area. The Tamaris was ealking distance from Kings College where I was staying, so I ordered my normal Chicken Vindaloo, Special Rice and Peashwari Naan. everything was spot on and probably one of the best takeaways that I've had in quite a while. I will definitely be using this takeaway again when next in the area in October. Recommend totally!

Ordered take away to hour hotel in Lambeth. We are visiting from the USA. I was not sure what to expect from a take away only restaurant. The food was PHENOMENAL, fresh and flavorful. I had shrimp and they were literally the biggest I've ever seen. They put lots of extras in the bag- chutneys, etc. Visiting with the people who work there when I arrived and they were all friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend.

The food was excellent, Yummy reasonably priced indian food, good delivery service . We had asked to make prawns spicy and they really made it perfect beyond our expectations.

I ordered Lamb Biriyani with Peshwari Nun and Gosht through their online platform, the delivery was on time with superb customer service, I have indeed enjoyed their food its mouth watering. Thanks to the management of Tamaris, I strongly recommend to try their food, Hope you will love it.
