Very very very good! I recommend this restaurant. Thank you for everything. (They have very delicious food. It's a decent, quiet environment. The waitresses are clean, neat, and good. It's a family atmosphere. I definitely recommend it. This is our first time, we are cooking iskender, lentil soup, cigarette boregi, etc. with my wife, all of them are good. Come and enjoy yourself easily)

Today, I spent fifty pounds in this restaurant, they give sauce for two people, the same sauce for three people, the same chips, the food is very bad, also the mixed kebab for two people and three people, only rice was added. It was my last time here.

Food was really good and customer service top notch

It was our first visit family of 4.we ordered a mix kebab and chicken shwarma with mint mojito. The seating was fine deco was of course turkish style lol.music nice melo turkish.the service was fine and we were happy with this the lady lovpreet was very helpfull and kind. Now at first we were given the complementary bread and sauce and olive they that was nice. To order the sauce again there is a extra £1 charge per pot.... thats was a strange one any how chilli sauce and ketchup free and food overall was nice just chicken shwarma was slightly dry in between. But rest the wings and kebab was lovely taste salad rice all good.

First time at Taksim and it was lovely. We went early evening and only 2 of us for a catch up and it was ideal. There were mainly families in, kids have their own space to play inside but free to wonder around and enjoy. Nice family atmosphere. The staff were very friendly and helped us with what would be good to order. We enjoyed the starter of bread, dips and olives. For main we had a mix grill for 3 so we had plenty andil it was lovely. Really well cooked, the rice and couscous was well flavoured. There was a good mix in the grill of lamb, chicken, wings, kebab and ribs. We didn't have dessert but the menu looked okay, there were a few different options. Finished with a nice Turkish tea. There is a little parking space to the rear of the restaurant and you can walk in the back door. Definitely going back. Thank you to the friendly staff.

I had bad experience with the services who serviced my order. I have left massage online so they can represent my order online as I ordered for gifts. My order was baklava and others. whoever was picked and packed my order they cheated on my baklava as they cut it one baklava in two pieces in pack so the pack get full. I couldn’t believe what they did. I will not buy from them any more.

We took the whole family including a 6 year old for evening meal. The restaurant was easy to find and has a massive car park at the rear and when we entered we hadn't realise how big it was as it stretches back. the décor is really interesting and different to the standard restaurant's in the area. the menu was brilliant and so varied. it even catered for the young members of the group. some of the group required Halal meals which the restaurant caters for. we ended up ordering a spread of meals from the menu and all sharing. to be honest none of us could pick fault with the food. it was all fantastic. the serving were large and the staff packed up some to take home. The Turkish tea is fantastic and I could not stop drinking it. the staff are really polite and helpful, they could not do enough for us even though the restaurant was quite busy. I was so impressed, we are going to take friends from the USA here and are planning to have a works event here too This is a real gem and highly recommended

Just visited this amazing restaurant. Being an owner of a restaurant I am very impressed with the service today from this lovely waitress I think her name goes by Gangan, sorry if I have misspelled it. She needs a raise in this restaurant. Exceptional service!!! Food was lovely too

I was a regular customer but sadly, I’m really disappointed ☹️ with the delivery service. 1 hour and 50 minutes later and after 3 phone calls, the food was almost cold. The man who came to deliver the food was not an actual employee of Taksim. From what I gathered, he was a friend giving them a favour. So why advertise if that service isn’t available.

He played such songs that I wanted to drink raki, there was no raki :) It is called a Turkish restaurant, but there are no Turks :)

This is my first visit to the restaurant, and I can safely it’s the best Turkish restaurant in Coventry. The chicken kofta was awesome, and the chicken shish was delicious!! All freshly cooked in front of you too. The Turkish rice was the best I’ve ever tasted, and nice thick chips and salad to complimented a perfect meal!

I Just had a really bad experience at this restaurant, we were two adults and ordered a meal for £40, The kids had some chips or fries. The meats were not well cooked, the bread was too burnt. They are very expensive and charging extra, At all they have no good service and have no value for customers .

The naan bread had literal insects in it🤮 other than that the rest of the food was amazing

The restaurant needs deep cleaning, under the tables there are gum which are stuck to the table and we had to change tables because of an insect. It needs a deep clean.

Good food and reasonably priced platters. The restaurant needs some repairs, care and attention. Kids play area helps when you have kids and want to eat peacefully.

I ordered a takeaway last night, it took almost 2 hours to come through. When I asked what was happening, i was told to be patient because its a busy night, that staff very arrogant. Im a regular and after that im never going back to such horrible customer service.

The food is very good here. Big portions and delicious. The iskender is my favourite dish. They serve ayran here and decent Turkish chai. I've had the Turkish coffee once and it wasn't made properly so I wouldn't recommend it. The place is huge and can accommodate big parties.the waitress was lovely. They always are. Lots of parking available round the back.

We have ordered a family mix grill for 4, we had to wait an hour only to be told that they don’t have rice and we will be served with out it. We said we don’t mind waiting for the rice but kept insisting on bringing the grill out with out rice. They brought out the rice eventually but they were undercooked. Disappointed!

This place is awful. The inside and atmosphere is terrible and stressful. The waitresses are kind. But the whole environment of this place is truly awful and horrible to sit in

Booked well in advanced so they were expecting us. It's seems they were short staffed. Only one person t Took all our orders. We waited almost 2 hours before the food and drinks came out. While waiting we did not receive any complementary nibbles, no water, not even an apology for the delay. Some of us didn't even get our drinks until the meal was almost finished. One of my friend didn't get everything he ordered. Paying the bill was very stressful we were charged for food we don't get. The staff argued with us. Hospitality, customer service and common sense lacking. I will never go there again or recommend them. It's such a shame because the food was tasty.

Someone from behind calmed him down and said we will refund, no apologies or anything. We still left a tip but the experience left a sour taste. I feel embarrassed as i have recommended this restaurant to many people

I booked a table of 35. Unfortunately, it took close to 2 hours before we were served anything. Tables that arrived after us were receiving complimentary bread before we were even served our drinks. We were not even served tap water until after our food arrived as we were told there were a lack of glasses. I understand that with a large table there will be some delays, however, the booking was made days in advance and they clearly did not schedule in enough staff. When I made the booking, I was told that we could go up to the till to order and pay separately, however, when we got to the restaurant I was told that we can not do this, and would need to be put on a bill all together, which cased a delay in the end. Due to the lack of staff, the atmosphere was tense, and this was shown in the staffs demeanour. We could hear them having disagreements, and some being shouted at while trying to serve the food, which was not professional. There was also issues with the food. Some in our group had ordered platters for 3, while others had ordered platters for 2. There was no clear difference in either, which caused some confusion as to if we had been served the correct things. But the staff did not pay too much attention to this and just insisted that we had been served the right things. There were also some items that were ordered that were never received, yet they were still put on the bill, so we had to double check this before leaving. This was honestly the worst restaurant experience I’ve ever received. To begin, we booked for 35 people with a roughly a week’s notice. It took 1hr 45mins for my food to arrive, with no tap water or complimentary bread being served whilst we waited. I’ve never been to a Turkish restaurant where we wasn’t greeted with complimentary bread and dips as soon as we sat down. Me and my 34 guests were fed up and extremely hungry to say the least. To make matters worse, other tables were receiving bread whilst we waited. When we asked about where our tap water was, they stated they ran out of glasses! They also stated that they were short on staff but if you knew we had 35 booked, why didn’t you ensure you had extra staff on hand? There were also issues with wrong orders being sent to the wrong tables. When we raised our concerns, we were just told that we were wrong and they were right. This caused much confusion and some were forced for a platter for 3 when they only received a platter for 2. Also, by the end of the night, many drinks/milkshakes never arrived. We had to double check the bill to ensure they were removed, as we were still charged for them. The food tasted nice but considered the extremely poor service…I will never be returning. This was not the Turkish experience I’m used to, I will definitely be going elsewhere.

Food was okish but the service was one of the worst I have seen in Coventry so far. Food were almost thrown on the table and while clearing the table staff asked very rudely to give forward the glasses from the middle of the table towards her!!!

We have been devoted clients for more than 2 years. We have always come here for a great supper or to hang out with friends. Not much room for complaint. Up to yesterday. I would give it a zero stars since I left without feeling like my concerns were taken seriously or addressed. We came over yesterday evening . We bought the three-person plate with mixed chips, rice, and four strawberry mojitos. They did let us know that the meal will be 20 to 30 minutes later than usual. which was OK to us because we were prepared to wait. An hour and twenty minutes later, the food arrived. And we quickly realised that we had received an entirely incorrect order. Given that it was merely a rice dish. Hence, there was no sign of chips . Second, there was just not enough food for three people platter because there was no meat at all. We inform waiter of the issue. And all that is said to us is, "It your platter, the chef cooks from a receipt and doesn't make mistakes." Alright, so why are we sitting with just a rice platter on the table when we specifically requested a rice and chip platter? There was no spicy chicken or chicken shawarma. I reiterate that this is not our order because we have been coming here for a long time and are familiar with the appearance of our food on the table. And it wasn't correct this time. We were never able to complete the platter of the three-person plate. with four individuals. However, it was all gone this time. Yes, we did complete it. However, the waiter became combative and impolite with me. I was turned off by this. utterly impolite and unwilling to pay attention to me She merely said, "This is what you paid for, that it," before turning to go. After that, we immediately departed. Disappointed. and heartbroken that you lost such devoted clients.

Excellent Turkish food is served there. The place was super busy during our visit but a waiter was doing her best to serve us quickly. Highly recommended!

I was stood at the till for 5 minutes while two colleagues were talking about their life,i was asked to take a seat and given menu options,we ordered special grill for 3 which had sheesh kebabs,chicken wings,lamb and chicken cubes,half rice and half chips,the young girl with the headscarf took the order actually recommended we get half chips half rice We were given a bread basket with very tiny pots of sauces, when the food arrived and we asked for some sauces we were told these would be extra which didnt make sense so we had these anyway. Meat was very tender and salad was the best part, then we waited for sometime fr someone to come over and bring a bill. We were just left to eat and no one asked if we needed anything else or showed us a tea or desert menu so we left, also when we asked for extra sauces we were told it would cost us 4.95 which is ridiculous,but the lady managed to bring us another small tiny bowl and said it would be £1 only

Food is just okay. Cold maZe is fine as well, humus not good though I wouldn't say it is the best turkish I tried ! But the attending staff is lovely.

The service is awful. The waiters are always too busy serving the larger groups. Food is nice however I definitely will not be returning since all of a sudden after a while of dinning here it now costs £5 for a small pot of hummus. Previously the hummus was provided with the bread. The waiter became very unhappy when I questioned her about why I am being charged £5 for hummus when all the other times it’s been free. I did ask for the hummus as this time it did not come out the with other dips and bread but I was not made aware that it now costs £5 extra to have a small pot of hummus. If that was the case I would have not had it!

The foot was fresh and tasty 5 start for food. It was our first time here and the staff was unprofessional, looking all the time upset. We asked to seat on the sofas a table of 4 and the lady said will get very busy, even though the restaurant was empty.

I booked this wonderful place for a charity Thank You Leaving Do. From the moment I reserved the table on the phone to the end of the meal, everything was perfect. A special thanks to Floriana for supporting us and for giving us a beautiful insight in to her own culture and nationality which fitted in well with our mixed table of nationalities too! We were always served with a smile and nothing was too much trouble for them. The waitresses definitely deserve a raise! The chefs food was also amazing and everyone enjoyed it. Came here with a friend from Birmingham. I always come here for the platters. On this occasion we ordered a platter for 3. The platter was small, looked like it was a platter for 2. Food was good, it always is.... On finishing we asked for the bill, we waited 15 mins no bill arrived. Decided to go to counter still had to wait 5 mins before being served.

Lovely quiet ambience, not crowded even on weekends. Food was great kebabs were juicy and flavourful. Small play area for kids although not well maintained.

If you like excellent Turkish shawarma and kebab visit this place. The service was mediocre the atmosphere was subjective. The Live kitchen grill will have you salivating. Plenty of free parking round the back with an entrance there too. We had the lamb and chicken shawarma, chicken wings and mixed kebab with lamb ribs, wings, adana kebab all with chips. I wouldn't go for the hot mezze again though. Succulent and well seasoned meat.

I recommended this place to my friends for our last iftari before eid as I came before and enjoyed the food, this time it was completely different, we ordered our food at 7:40pm for it to be served at 8:15 which is the time to break our fast, instead it arrived at 8:40 by which we were really frustrated & not happy, 1 hour wait on food, once it’d arrived it wasn’t that great, they forgot my child’s chicken burger and she had to wait 15-20 minutes more from the time our mains arrived, once it arrived it was a shocking frozen chicken steak burger that looks like big nuggets, for £8 you can go to any takeaway and restaurant in Coventry & get a proper chicken breast burger from the kids menu, this was very poor, to top it off it had big chunks of cucumber & pickled cabbage inside, I don’t know what planet the chef was from to put that inside a child’s burger. What also ruined our experience was the lack of attentive service, it was poor, lazy & simply lacking, we had to order our drinks twice & my child’s food twice before it arrived. The value for money here isn’t great, we were charged £3.99 for a pot of chilli sauce for our maincourses, every other Turkish restaurant I’ve been to provides this complimentary. Service 3/10 Food standard 5/10 Value for money 5/10 Overall I wouldn’t think twice to come back, we’ll just go to the other Turkish restaurants in Coventry who provide great service, great food & great value for money.

Ordered food at 8.30pm hadn't come at 10.50pm do not go to the restaurant its so bad and now they won't pick up there phone so I have lost £26 and have nothing to show except a empty tummy. This is the 3rd time I have ordered and its late will not order again and will tell others not to order as its so bad such a shame but don't order if you actually want to eat.

Food has never disappointed here. Always get quality right. Nice atmosphere and plenty of space for dining inside. Can accommodate larger groups easily. Service can be hit and miss depending on who you get and how busy it is but on general is good on most occasions.

Onest opinion and I don't have friends or relatives who work there. Turkish food made with love and passion, The grill meat is SuperB, bear in mind it's medium as medium as the mediterraneans always do that. However, salads-lack of seasoning, maybe lime zest and lime, thime.
