I watched the guy who served me use his oily gloves to use the cash register, handle the dirty card machine (can you imagine how many dirty hands use that thing!!) after it was malfunctioning and he held the whole machine with his oily gloves 🤢, touching other staff on their back, fist bumping a customer’s bare hands while still wearing his oily gloves then handling food with the same oily gloves!! So disgusting and unhygienic i didn’t eat what I ordered. What’s the point of wearing gloves if you’re touching everything dirty and handling food at the same time!!!!! Will not be ordering from here again! Revolted

Salty Shawarma, pickle quality is pathetic, price is reasonable for the meal in city centre but nothing good except warm service

Dined here tonight and did it fill me up, the meats were juicy and succulent paired with the various sauces made it absolutely delicious, the gents behind the counter worked with synergy and offered great customer service. If you're in Coventry this is the spot to hit up for that hearty fix or authentic shawarma.

I came to Shawarma Shack on Sunday morning and the place, atmosphere, customer service was spectacular. The young black lady at the till was lovely and made sure I was well taken care of, whilst the young man with a beard had my food made extremely quickly. I have recommended this place to my friends.

I had a really terrible experience at shawarma shack Coventry today, the black lady lacks good customer service, she is so arrogant and always acting like she’s ashamed of her job and not confident, despite saying my order, she keeps asking me for same order I have said several times, she was even shouting at me and threw the drink at me over the opened food on the counter almost breaking the counter glass and walked off, even the other colleague that took over couldn’t even apologize when giving me my order, I wanted to ask for refund and not accept the order because of the rude attitude from your staff, I just didn’t want to cause a scene there, I am a regular customer and I expected better, I am never patronizing again, terrible customer services, I am black as well so it is not a targeted comment, other customers there saw this arrogance and rudeness, I just tried to be calm to avoid driving off other customers, check your CCTV to confirm, she is not good for your business, she is not proud of her job, terrible staff will make you lack customers retention.

The African black girl with glasses is so rude to customers, my first time here and I saw how she thrown drink at a customer, I got frightened, worst customer service ever seen

Great shwarma, £5,50 for a pretty thin wrap, but definitely the best ingredients in the area. Wouldn't recommend dine-in, as the interior is quite cramped.

Went with the kids. We have ordered Chicken Shawarma box it comes with French fries. All food is Halal .Also you can get a nice roasted chicken and other things like mozzarella sticks, humus, salads Very clean and well arranged place, also really busy.In these days mostly take aways don't care about cleanliness, but here everything is clean ap to high standard. Boys who works there are very welcoming and trying to do their best to keep you happy with your order.Place is really busy. Food was perfectly prepared and was really tasty.Well ✔️👍done.Next time if I visit Coventry will go there again. I have scored service as 5 stars for the male staff, (girl which was taking orders yesterday don't deserve it, she needs to change her attitude towards customer)

I ordered a meat box with fries and salad on the side. The person serving me forgot to provide the salad so I had to go back and ask for it. When I came back I saw they also didn’t give any cutlery so I went back again and asked for a fork when the server was super annoyed and told me “you ask too much”. Better shawarma and service can be found all over Coventry.

Meat really nice and good portion of food

A terrible dinner was today when I tried this restaurant for the first time. I went there with my best friend to try the food. I ordered two Shawarma, one with chicken & chips and the second with meat & salad. First of all they came both with chips, I did not say anything because their order mistake. Then the horrible part came when I tried the food, It was very dry, salty and oily. I only finished the food because I do not want it to be thrown in the garbage as it is against my principles. After I finished the food I went to one of the staff and tried to talk with him regarding the food quality, he insisted that the food was great and the problem was in me I did not enjoy the food or the restaurant atmosphere, I definitely will not back again and I do not recommend it

The food here is always fresh and really nice. I had a bad experience with another shawarma place in Cov and it put me off shawarma for a long time but Shawarma Shack changed this. I’ve probably tried most items on their menu now 😂 but my favourite is their mixed shawarma wrap and broasted chicken. These are both always 10/10. The broast is definitely one to try, it has some serious crunch to it and full of flavour. I love that it’s the type of place you can get food for your lunch or dinner.

Have been craving proper Shawerma (Syrian style) for few weeks. Found about Shawerma Shack from Google and decided to visit with my daughters. I can confirm that this the best Shawerma I had outside the Middle East (I have tried so many places in Birmingham, London, Manchester, and Wales). The chef is from Syria and had kept to the traditional way of preparing and serving Shawerma. I can't wait to visit again for Broasted (Fried) chicken and crinkly chips. Definitely worth the 30 min detour 😁

Most authentic syrian food outside of the Levant, shawarma is made with authentic taste and with saj bread and the toum is made in house. The broasted chicken is the best I’ve had in europe, and the rotisserie chicken is juicy. The crinkle fries are delicious and the pickles are fresh pickles, with no old taste. Everything I have tried on their menu is delicious, all ingredients are fresh and the quality of the food is restaurant quality. A true representation of Syrians both in the excellent hospitality and in the food.

The food is delicious and the service is great. But they need more workers to serve customers faster.

Ordered their chicken shawarma meals and it was the worst meal we have had in a while. The fries were soggy, shawarma was so salty that you could not tasty any other flavour, chicken within wasn’t fresh. All said, such a huge disappointment. Ordered seeing the good reviews here but their food wasn’t even barely decent.

Today I visited Shawarma Shack in Coventry and tried their chicken wrap. It was absolutely delightful and packed with flavor. Pretty good but could care more

They had a special going, mix meals buy one get one free. They gave the wrong drinks and missed the paid addons for chilli etc. Ive been here a few times, expecting it to get better however the shawarma is quite tough and the bread they used for the wrap has a weird consistency. They need to change what they're using.

This is one of the worst shawarma and falafel in West Midlands. Omg we vomit after eating them food. The quality food zero. We bought different type foods but unfortunately nothing was fresh at all. The order came with missing items, honestly no way I recommend this place.

We ordered shawarma platters for an event for our university isoc picnic and were incredibly impresssed with the price and service as well as size of portions. Not only did they deliver and ensure our dietary needs were met but Taha went the extra mile by helping us carry all the food to the location on time and fresh. Our guests really enjoyed the food (especially the falafel and chicken shawarma) accompanied by sauces, salads and drinks. We would definitely order with them again for a future event and recommend them to others.

Ordered sharwarma pitta. They gave me a bread roll instead and didn't tell me. I went back told them I ordered pitta they told me the bread roll is pitta (pitta is a flatbread)! Looking at photos I see they used to do actual pittas. They should say if substituting or run out of something. Refused refund just kept saying 'it is a pitta' and nothing else. Whilst meat and bread tasted nice for £5.50 very small portion, not much meat in roll (I had bites with none) and too much mayonaise (no choice of sauce), some salad would have been nice with meat, none given or offered. What a shame if they sold what was on menu and gave reasonable portions this place could be good as the food did taste ok.

Let’s start with hygiene. When you bring workers with no papers into the business, it is expected for the hygiene level to be poor. As they make your shawarma, the wrap gets put on every surface before it gets wrapped up… if you see the state of the surface at late times you’d be disgusted. One worker with spotty face has a thing for picking his nose ever so quickly. Quite experienced at that. They overload it with more salad than actual meat. Might as well call it a vegirama. Two months of being open they allowed card, but now to pay their workers and evade tax it is cash only now. They claim they don’t have a card reader… One of their workers was leading and the boss paid him in cash, I asked my friend who knew the boss and he told me that some of the workers don’t have documents to work legally. After hearing that I knew straight away this place is dodgy with just a nice front to hid their dirty money. No longer stepping foot into this place of modern day slavery and money laundering.

This was the best food and shawarma I've had.Everything was very delicious with decadent tastes. I would definitely recommend the lamb and chicken shawarma. It tastes very good like the food I used to have back in Syria. The staff were very kind and I have had no issues.
