Takamee in Cheshire West and Chester

I always have chicken chow mein from here. It is the best chow mein i’ve had from the area, not sitting in liquid, no soggy veg, always hot and plenty of it. reasonably priced too. My partner always has the yung chow and he can’t fault it. Wish they still did the sweet & sour though, because that was also super tasty!

Very average meal that was cold by the time it was delivered. Ordered through Just Eat and Takemee placed blame on Just Eat. Contacted Just Eat who blamed Takemee. Baffling … In short it is both of your fault so please just take some responsibility. Salt and Pepper Chicken box was so dry - like eating saw dust in the Sahara. Noodle Box however was very sloppy like the bottom of the River Dee. Come on guys you can do better with the cooking and sort your stuff out and not blame one another - my kids are excellent at that old chestnut. Stay well.

I have ordered a gluten free mix veg & chicken box twice now & both times have come with no veg what so ever & just a few pieces of chicken, i am very disappointed because it actually tastes really nice, so please add what I ask & I will come back

This is a very clean and smart place where you can elect takeaway or sit-in. I had a side portion of spring rolls which were really good and some pepper beef noodles which were also excellent. I notice a few previous reviews that criticise this place, but as they tend to be about takeaway delivery services, I suggest that you try the fresh food in-house instead. The service was excellent and the only thing I got wrong was to order too much - the smallest size container of noodles would have been more than enough for one! As a really keen cook of Chinese food (with a particular fondness for noodles) I can advise that the food here is very good indeed and I highly recommend it.

Basic restaurant. But good plentiful food. Nice to have it cooked fresh. Bench tables. So you share the seating.

Worst service i have ever had would never use again. Fare warning to anyone considering this restaurant.

Ordered from Just Eat and unlike others it arrived 45minutes earlier than advised. Unfortunately however the food was inedible. Dumplings were OK, stir fried vegetables were overcooked and swimming a a very salty black sauce and the black bean box was a mass of noodles smothered in the sauce, no evidence of any vegetables and a few prawns that tasted very weird. Not even suitable to give to our dogs. Not often do I throw takeaways in the bin but no option this time.

100% recommend, best Chinese in Chester. Salt and pepper chicken is the best. Always hot and fast delivery

Ordered and paid through just eat at 7pm and was quoted 8pm delivery. Now 10pm and still arguing over non delivery. Guy keeps saying 10-15 minutes more. Just eat are no help. Wont order again as busy or not 2 hours for food and poor service is no excuse

We regularly use this as our take away and have never had a bad meal. We’ve had the smooth Malaysian curry, the soy and oyster and the black bean. It’s all lovely. The salt and pepper chicken/chips are really good and the veggie options are brilliant.

Great service and tasty food served here. I prefer it to wok & go nowadays. Good deals on the large boxes on certain days and the belly buster is a definite one to try if there is a few of you sharing!

We've ordered take away from here several times and will continue to do so. The food is always piping hot, the veggies area always crunchy and fresh, the meat is good quality and there's always heaps of food in those little boxes. The spice level can be adjusted to taste but be warned, if you order something that says its spicy then it really is!!! Delicious.

Quick, cheap, tasty and filling. Very fresh pad thai freshly made to order. While I was there lots of locals were proclaiming this to be the best takeaway in Chester and if I lived here I would definitely be a regular.

Ordered through Just-eat, given an hour and a half wait time for delivery. When it was 25 minutes late, I rang to find out where the food was to be told "it's on its way. No explanation, no apology. 10 minutes later food arrived, warm, not piping hot. I spoke to Just-eat, who spoke to the restaurant, but it seems that they claim to have delivered on time!!!!! Won't be using again.

Tenía una comida para llevar (entregada) hace unos meses, no muy buena, habría dado 2 estrellas. Así que pensé en intentarlo de nuevo el sábado. Cuatro de nosotros pedimos, tenía una caja de fuego de carne que sabía a salsa bisto con una carga de chile en polvo tirada. Horrible. Tiré en la basura después del primer bocado y pellizqué un poco del plato de arroz con pollo de mi esposa, que era insípido pero al menos comestible. Ninguno de nosotros disfrutó de este 45 comida para llevar, aproximadamente el 80% fue a la papelera.

Apareció en esta noche como quedarse en un hotel en la ciudad.Pedimos una caja de fideos cantones de chile con filete. La comida estaba recién hecha y caliente, pero no tenía ningún sabor y teniendo en cuenta que tenía 2 llamas al lado del anuncio, esperaba algo de chile. Sabía que después del primer bocado me aburría y no me lo comería. Sin embargo, el filete era encantador, así que lo escogí y dejé el resto.Regularmente uso chok y wok en Birmingham, que está en una liga diferente a la de este lugar. No se moleste en ir, McDonald's está por el camino, lo que será más satisfactorio.

We ordered from here via JustEat on a recent spa break in Cheshire. We were very impressed with the timely delivery and tasty fresh food.BUT we warned (from someone who has xx hot in Nando's & vindaloo from an Indian) the Fire Box meal is extremely hot to the point where unfortunately half was left over it really was that hot!Overall however really good and we shall visit again when in the area!

Consistently good food. Prompt delivery, loads packed into the boxes. Good choice, good tender meat, very spicy if you go for the fire box. Lovely. Will continue to use this place.

I ended up here after wanting some fast food in the area that wasn't McDonald's or Burger king. I had a regular teriyaki char sui pork box with a portion of spring rolls. The price was ok at £8ish and the food was enough to feed two for a lunch.

Cheap noodles to takeaway, not bad for the price, fast service. Wouldn't call it fine dining but perfectly pleasant. About £13 for two regular boxes with prawn crackers.

Great place for an authentic noodle stir fry during lunch or dinner time. My favourite choice is the fire sauce with egg noodles and prawns, as the spicy, umami flavours make it mouth watering even as I write about it. Just be sure to buy a drink if you order anything spicy, as you'll need it. At the moment there's only one Takamee in Chester, so it's a local speciality I wish the whole world could try. Overall it serves tasty food with good value for money and is prepared quickly, so it's definitely worth visiting as soon as you get the chance.

98% went straight to the bin. Tasteless noodles, soggy chips, bland tofu - really, really appalling for £21.

This place is my top choice for a noodle box now. I used to love Wok & Go just a few doors down but you get so much more at Takamee so I have not looked back. The smooth curry box with rice noodles and beef steak is my fave. Lots of other options to choose from. Prices are good and staff very pleasant and friendly.

Great Chinese and Thai food. Superbox is a huge portion enough for two with a side. Delivery came sooner than expected at peak time on a Saturday. Online ordering quick and simple. Happy customers! We’ll be back.

We recently moved to Chester from saltneyWe know this place is excellent because they used to own lucks wich was our local chinese in saltney, was very disappointed when it changed owner ship.since moving we have tried all the local chinese through just eat. No other Chinese compares to what takamee offers and wok and go is average in comparison. Really good authentic and family owned. Delivery are always quick and hot. Only thing I can say is please add more broccoli it's delicious.

Had a delivery to the house for 4 of us. Delivered bang on time, boxes jam packed with hot food, cooked to perfection and true to,spice level. We all,like spicy food and we were not disappointed. We could have fed another couple of people too, so much food in those boxes. Totally yummy, no complaints. Will continue to use.

This restaurant/take away is the best noodle place I have found in Chester that is quick, cheap and soooo tasty!

Ordered curry spring rolls and dumplings which were delicious. Ordered two largest noodle boxes, tones of noodles huge lack of any veg which I thought was strange for a stir fry and limited meat also, compare to the amount of noodles was far to much. Tasty sauces!

Takamee is one of the places I visit when I'm in Chester. A few months by and this noodle bar is still the same- taste, price and service wise. I saw that they have changed up their game with some fantastic additions in their menu and promos, which is a great thing for our wallets and tummy!

What a shame... this place is no longer on our good list. The portion sizes have reduced (salt n pepper chicken and salt n pepper chips to name a few) and the main dishes are just not as tasty as they once were. It feels like they're trying to save money by cutting corners & being less than generous with the positions. The past few visits have been very disappointing and did not provide value for money. Ordering from the website is cumbersome and I often get a rineo

As someone with an intolerance to gluten, I really struggle to find places that do noodles/chinese food that I can eat and am so happy to have finally found one that does (Takamee). I regularly order from here and have never been disappointed. The service is always great and the food is always enjoyable (I recommend the singapura fried rice box and the chilli salt and pepper chips!) and good value for money. My only complaint would be that the portions are a bit smaller than the Chinese takeaways that I used to go to, but that is it!

I stopped in here for lunch the other day just to see what it was like and it far exceeded my expectations! At first glance the restaurant doesn't seem like much, but the food was very cheap and excellent quality! I ordered a chicken fried rice value box (the smallest size available) and it was enough to fill me up (and I can eat a lot!!). The waitress who took our order was very friendly too. Definitely would recommend this restaurant to anyone.

As the title says, the food is really good here. It's slightly pricey and i didn't get a huge amount of meat but couldn't fault the quality of the food.

Takamee is an oriental restaurant. It's not a big restaurant but they have plenty of spaces. It's clean & tidy. Food is delicious. They will cook as your taste. We wanted extra hot and it was really hot. Portions are big enough. Price was good. They just need to focus on the customer service. We asked for tissue paper but for 3 of us got only one. But the fresh food made our mood so happy that we couldn't mind but made joke of it.

This has to be one of the best Asian food take aways we have had in a very long time! After having a awful experience at the Wok & Go, we decided to try Takamee, and we absolutely loved every single bite of it! We ordered two noodle boxes and side sides which were the spring rolls and the seasoned chips, it was all amazing and the portion sizes were great! None of it was greasy what so ever and didnt make us feel bad afterwards! Im really looking forward to trying more dishes here and ordering again soon!

The menu isn't extensive but its simple enough to ensure that it is always be done well. I would order from here more if it wasn't for the £16 minimum order value value (before delivery).

We stayed two nights in Chester and We enjoyed our meal so much that we had it both nights! The food was really tasty and they do a gluten free box which is yummy. The only issue was that they forgot our prawn crackers both nights which was a bit disappointing.

Best place ever! Don't just think wok and go is good because you been there before, this is a world off wonder!

Always struggled to find quality take away/delivery and was chuffed to bits to find this place as it doesn't disappoint. Had a very simple beef/noodle & Chicken/Rice delivery for £13 and we were both full and very happy woith our meal. The restaurant even rang to politely clarify a food allergy. Great!

Ordered from here instead of similar close by competition as they had no stock the staff here were very polite and helpful food was delivered quickly however my Thai style chicken noodle dish was very dry and two pieces of meat only all noodles to be honest a bit disappointing to be honest can't fault staff or speed of delivery though

Couldn't resist going in this place even though we were originally looking to go somewhere m for a romantic sit down meal! Freshly cooked while you wait and an informal place to sit and eat at a brilliant price. Loved the food, spoilt for choice.. friendly service.. will definitely call again next time we are in the area.

Absolutely gorgeous food. Used to go to another noodle takeaway nearby. But this place is super quality. .I travelled over 10 miles to try this as I'd been recommended by my daughters. .only wish there was one nearer to where I live.

Was in yesterday and we both had the Supabox prawn curry noodles.

We needed to grab a quick late-afternoon meal before catching our train. Takamee proved to be the ideal option being only a 2-minute walk from Wetherspoon's. Eating area was clean, menu offered a wide choice, the food freshly cooked and tasty and reasonably priced. Wish there was a Takamee near to where we live!

If you like WOK & GO which is near this place, just give that a miss for once and try this place. It's very reasonably priced unlike the competition, and the food is a lot better! When I come here I always order the shrimp with teriyaki sauce with noodles, it's absolutely delicious. Not only the staff here greet you with a smile as you come in and as you leave, they are also very talkative and friendly.

Tried this noodle bar recently and it certainly didn't disappoint. Price was reasonable and food was freshly prepared. Will certainly be going back. My new favorite place, fully recommended.

Ordered a delivery after receiving a menu in the mail. The food was delivered quickly, piping hot and there was loads of it. The hot sauces are quite hot so be aware. We ordered 2 regular boxes, one rice dish and one noodle dish. The food is almost vacuum packed there's so much of it. It's really good value for money. The meat was good quality, big lean pieces of chicken, no gristle or dodgy bits and there's loads of fresh veggies too.

I have tried wok and go a few times and not been disappointed. Takamee opened a couple of doors down from it. Let's give it a try Very surprised the speed the value and quality of food. Recommend it

Food took quite and it wasn't cheap. The noodle box I had was nice but my girlfriends was very dry! It wasn't bad but I think there are better alternatives if I'm honest!

I know Chester well and when Takamee opened we decided to give it a go. I've not been disappointed! I'm a big fan of their Salt & Pepper recipe - it's probably the best I've ever tasted! The staff are very friendly and their place is small but well-decorated. Would definitely recommend this place! Thank you Takamee!

Short but concise menu. A good selection and add ons that can complete a meal well! Portion size was OK and priced the same as Wok & Go. Would I visit again? Definitely!

Came to Chester for a short break.

I visited Takamee for my dinner on my split shift, the guy who served me was nice and the chef made sure the noodles were cooked to my liking I wasn't sure what to expect but when I took the first mouthful it was tasteful and fresh, couldn't fault the food!

Ordered two boxes of noodles and salt & pepper ribs to take away. The food was served quickly with flames coming out from the kitchen, and was still HOT when I brought them back to the hotel.

If you ever have the chance to visit Takamee, order anything from the Salt & Pepper section of the menu and you will not be let down whatsoever. The food tastes fantastic and never loses flavour throughout the entire meal.

I ordered a take out from here for my son.Interior was pleasing to the eye with seating at the rear.My son chose a rice pot meal deal hong kong chilli.He said it was extremely spicy and came with prawn crackers,Service was quick and polite.My son said he would eat there again and he is extremely fussy!

Came here a couple of times and every time the food was scrumptious. I've travelled around Asia before and I've got to say, food in Takamee are authentic. The dumplings and skewers brought me back to my travels!

We stayed in Chester for two nights and ended up visiting here twice! The boxes of noodles/rice on offer are absolutely delicious and you can choose from various styles such as Korean kimchi, Malaysian curry and Chinese Szechuan etc. You then choose the style of noodle and rice and which meat you would like with it. We tried lots of different combinations over the two days and they were all fantastic! The next time I am in Chester I will be back again I'm sure. 谢谢！

Visited with my family at lunch time. Had a really nice Chinese meal. A step up from the usual takeaways you get in Chester. Food was tasty with nice sauces and quite different to what I've tried before. Lots of variety on the menu.
