Taj Mahal Spice Indian Takeaway in Neath Port Talbot

Rice was wet and soggy. Like it had been previously frozen and microwaved. Biryani was really flavourless

The service is absolutely deplorable. I called to check on my order that was way over the specified delivery time, and was met with a rude who subsequently hung up the phone during me enquiring about where my order was. The same thing happened AGAIN when I called for the second time. The low hygiene rating alone is reason enough to STAY AWAY from this place. They deserved to be shut for good. Tiny men with anger issues should not run businesses❤️

If I had a choice I would give NO STAR RATING!!!!. On the 7/4/20 I placed an order through FOODHUB! 2 hours later I was still waiting so I phoned the TAJ MAHAL only to be told (WE DON'T DELIVER TO YOU, IT.S TO FAR) so I explained I had already paid and was told the order would be canceled and the funds would not leave my account!, just had my statement and the funds have been taken out!!!! I contacted them only to be told (WE CAN'T REMEMBER AND IT'S TO LATE AS ITS ALMOST BEEN A MONTH).... This is not good enough AND NOTHING BUT UNETHICAL TRADING. A RIP OFF.. BE VERY CAREFUL....

Working in the area and time to sample another local Indian. Ordered the usual mixed grill with the addition of tandoori lamb chops. The whole dish I felt was a little underspiced and I am not convinced it was freshly cooked, rather than precooked and warmed up. The chicken did not have the fresh from the tandoor taste about it and the whole dish lacked a real spice and flavour hit. I did, however, think the seekh kebab was excellent with a great flavour and texture. Naan bread was also really nice having a lovely seasoned flavour. Not sure what they did to it but it really hit the spot. Not blown away but value for money is spot on and I would have no reason not to return.

Ordered a prawn madras. It contained very little spice. Had to add hot chilli sauce. The bindi bhaji was mushy. Okra flavour totally ruined. The mushroom masala was slimy and the saag pander creamy and bland. The pilau rice was stodgy. Enjoyed free poppadoms and naan bread although had to add fried garlic to the Naan.

Delicious food served here. Quick delivery time, piping hot food & well worth the money too. Set meal for two was the business. Highly recommend definitely going to order here again

Ordered food for 5 people, spent £48 so less than £10 a head. Can't go wrong, everyone had enough food and in fact there was some left over for the morning.... Both lamb and chicken dishes were really tasty and the meat cooked to perfection. The breads were fluffy and the sauces full of flavour. Definitely a takeaway that will be used again. So glad to have found a really good Indian takeaway in Neath

Ordered a couple of meals for home delivery, very easy ordering process, order repeated back to me to confirm details, advised it would be delivered within 45-60 minutes. Food arrived bang on 45 minutes no errors, not piping hot but acceptable temperature, good size portions and very tasty. Very enjoyable and would definitely order from there again. Ordered chutney tray, one portion of meat samosas two portions of rice and two mains oh and a nan bread and four popadoms, came to £22.05 (I think) so good value for money.
