Taj Mahal in Pembrokeshire

I agree with previous reviews regarding quality and customer service. Food was cold, tasteless and late being delivered. They also don't like criticism! Quality and standards have dropped dramatically as has their hygiene certificate!

Poor customer service and bad food hygiene!As a regular customer I couldn't help noticeing their Food Hygiene rating on the door had dropped suddenly, I asum following an inspection. Unfortunately on that same night I got a takeaway with hair in it and my wife was up all night with an upset stomach!We won't be returning!

Food quality is reasonable but its always very difficult to order because they often don't bother to answer the phone!We've often had to give up or drive down to the restaurant to order. If you complain, they just say that they don't have enough staff!Pity because the food is not bad... when you can order it!

Absolutely disgusted with the poor customer service, bad management and the way I have been spoken to this evening by the owner of Essence of India at the bottom of Charles Street.Sitting down enjoying a meal, to come across hair in my food. As we have always been regular customers and received fantastic meals, rather than slate them on social media, i decided to call the restaurant and bring it to their attention. Unfortunately the owner would not take my call and gave his dirty work to a female staff member to deal with. I then brought meal over to him to speak with him but he wasn't keen on coming to see me. His daughter came to speak to me and I had asked if I could please speak with her father (being his business and the chef). Spoke with him in the kitchen to only be spoken to disrespectfully!!!He has nothing more than poor management skills and customer service was a disgrace. We had a similar problem a while back to which the problem was easily solved. This time, he failed to even offer a replacement meal and continued to tell me I wasn't to have my money back. I hadn't asked for my money back, just wanted to let them know. Apparently our meal had been checked for hairs by himself, wife, daughter and son before leaving the kitchen as he said I have complained 3 times previous..actually this was the 2nd time and if you don't get hair in your food there is no reason for complaint!!All I was wanting to do was bring this to his attention, but instead he handled the situation disgracefully.I had said that I wouldn't slate them on social media, but here it is. Essence of India you are a disgrace, after years of our custom, rest assured you will not see the colour of my money again!!!!Also, no card payment taken and cash only. Really??

Visited Milford Haven for a week in early June 2021, went to the Essence of India, we were concerned by the bad reviews but should not have been. There is no liquor licence but staff directed us to a supermarket nearby to buy our drinks, no corkage charge. Staff were polite and service was good. I am a curry-loving vegetarian, plenty of choice, I had the veggie Ceylon, my partner eats everything and had the Handi special, both were very good, so much so that we went back twice more during the week. To be fair, the decor is tired and the ambiance is lacking, mostly due to lack of customers!! Please don't be put off by bad reviews, if you enjoy a good curry, go for it.

Made phone order for the takeaway and was informed that they did not take cards any more. This is not acceptable to however you think you are and whatever tax dodge you are trying to pull. Food arrived and was tasteless and really not good. They used to have really tasty meals there where you could order anything and it would be tasty and lovely. The curries now just taste like they don’t care how good they are as long as you pay them CASH! Hope someone who cares takes over when these news managers see a major downturn in customers. Was a great takeaway before but the above make me not at all likely to go there again which is a pity. If there were no stars that is what the I would award as the disappointment of not having a lovely Indian restaurant in Milford is so great.

Had an Indian tonight thought I’d try with new owners ,the service was poor and found a hair in my food and the curry was sold

decided to use my local indian, i purchased a meal for my myself and my family on friday evening, i found a hair in my curry, and the next morning me and my two sons had food poising and felt horrible.

I have been going here for years and the food is consistently delicious.There have been occasional mistakes where they have gotten my order wrong or forgotten something, but this has been quickly rectified. Everyone makes mistakes and they deal with it brilliantly. Once, they even re cooked my order and gave me a bottle of wine - this is service you just don't see elsewhere in Milford Haven! My only criticism would be that they have changed their sag paneer and it's not as nice, so I've stopped ordering it - but that is so minor considering!

Took a while to get through and book the table and was a bit worried when we arrived as restaurant was empty and no alcohol licence. However, the meal was excellent, all four of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals, must have an excellent chef. Very reasonable too which was an added bonus.

Stroppy service 2 young lads behind the counter rude and stroppy Mucked up the bill and could not grasp the concept of writing out the bill in full Poor customer service Young lady came and sorted with efficiency Boys With customer skills like this I’m sure many will think before going back

This is now the second takeaway we've had from here within a month and it's safe to say we won't be going anywhere else ever again. The food tastes amazing, not one curry tastes the same, chips and rice are really good too. Naan breads are perfect, as to are the special Naan kebabs. Chicken tikka wraps and poppadoms also lovely. Lamb tikka massala is the one to try. Lamb is that soft, you can cut it with just a fork. Looking forward to eating from here again real soon. Only one minor issue, and very minor it is too. The young lad who talks on the phone, cheer up mate. Don't sound so bleak and grumpy.

Been here many times in the past and never been a problem but today different story.. I would love to rate the food but we didn’t see it. Sunday special 9.50 deal 1 starter 1 main and 2 sides. Once we got our drinks order in they longer have a alcohol licence ( would have been nice to be told upon booking) 5 flat glasses of coke from a bottle and the couldn’t offer it any different, when we did order 2 out of the party had their starters and the rest did not asked what was going on and just an abrupt teenager saying that they were on their way without even going to the kitchen. After 50 minutes I gave up and left my family there, we all walked out and yet they still persisted that we payed fully for what we had. Very disappointed and a bit of constructive criticism the staff need more support from a more experience front of house as it was just teenagers and no adults dealing with customers

A nice meal with good flavours.Unfortunately they don’t have a licence for alcohol, I love a cobra beer with an Indian.The restaurant was very quiet. Only 4 customers in total so was expecting good service.The big downfall was the temperature in the restaurant, around 17 degrees. I don’t feel cold but sat there cold with a jumper on. My wife had a thick layer on and was very cold. Another couple, the lady sat there eating with her coat on next to the radiator.I asked the waitress to turn up the heating.She said. “It’s on full”Shame a good meal was made disappointing due to restaurant temp.

The food was lovely, the atmosphere was lovely, and the staff were very friendly. I would recommend it.

We were really impressed with the flavours in our curries. The staff were working really hard and very attentive considering how busy it was . One Waiter in particular realised I had left my bag and ran after us down the road to give it back to me!! So thank you to him. Would recommend to others definitely .

Had a great meal here. Very pleasant staff and large amounts of food - actually so large that they did us a doggie bag for the next evening at home! Excellent value.

One of the male members of staff was rude on the phone and didn’t seem interested which then told as we received the wrong order once collected! Then to make things even worse, we had the wrong curry with rare bits of chicken, I’ve had a few bad experiences at this place and they’ve just had their last chance! In all fairness the young lady working gave me a full refund and even offered a freshly cooked curry but the damage was already done and I certainly won’t ever be using this restaurant again.

We were in Milford Haven on a Saturday night looking for supper. All the restaurants along the Marina front were fully booked but also seemed to be very noisy - lots of family dinners and hen do's.We then found ESSENCE OF INDIA.What a relief! They had a table and the food was fantastic. One of our friend said it was the best mushroom biryani she had ever tasted. I really enjoyed my sag paneer .The service was slowish but fine for us as we were happy to sit and chat.I recommend this restaurant!

Very quiet on a Tuesday night but it's mid week and out of season in October .the restaurant is freshly redecorated . The menu is VERY extensive everything I've tried on several visits was very tasty and fresh. They were happy to tailor my wife's dish to suit her taste , between 3 people we ordered a variety of mains and sides . All of the food was as we expected and all served hot and pretty quickly. I highly recommend this place food and staff all excellent.

We recently stayed in Milton Haven and ordered a take away to our cottage. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their dishes. There was a lot of meat in all of them and delivery was quick.

Had a fantastic evening meal here. We went for the set menu for 2. Food was delicious and there was plenty of it, and in our opinion great value for money. Staff are really friendly, helpful and attentive. Definitely recommend this restaurant.

Didn't know there was a good Indian in Milford Haven until tjey decorated. We had a very acceptable Jalfrezi and all the usual trimmongs. Very friendly staff even though very few customers in a large restaurant. Deserves more interest.

Ordered a takeaway for delivery on Saturday 31st March

Absolutely amazing!! Now where do I start? First of all visiting on a Saturday night with my family (9 of us) and to be seated in this restaurant I think we were lucky! Arrived without booking and were not sure as to whether or not we would get a table but luckily we did as the restaurant was pretty full. Upon arriving we were greeted with all due respect. The decor of the restaurant is very elegant. I was recommended the Handi by the lady that took our order and I must say I was very happy with the recommendation she had made. My partner also asked for a recommendation and he was given a curry to his preference, I must say the waitress knew her curries well keeping our preferences in mind. Curry was full of flavour and spice. Service was excellent and they were all very friendly with smiles on their faces. Phones were going off a lot which had got on our nerves eventually but nevertheless it was a lovely evening. Will be back

Used to be really good, great service, nice tasty food. Gone down hill now, in fact just changed its name but same owner. Owners son serves behind the bar and takes orders. last but one time we waited 10 mins to be asked our order at the table, but at least we had a drink to keep us going. Food was bland, everything tasting much the same. Last time we went, we waited ages to even be seated in an empty resturant (he was on the phone then talking). Sat at our table, no drinks. After 15 mins we walked out. He didnt even bother to come over to us. Yes he was taking some take away orders over the phone but totally ignord us. Havent been back since.

So much choice what to pick always tastes amazing, a regular place for a great curry and they they will always help to make your evening memorable

Haven't visited for a long time but so glad I did. This place has improved dramatically. Lovely polite staff. Spotlessly clean. Starters were there in an instant. Our main courses were authentic and fresh. And having chicken nuggets on the main menu for children is great. Portion sizes were really good and everyone commented how fresh & tasty everything was even though it was quite busy.

Regularly visit this restaurant as we live in the Milford area. We feel that 99.9% of the time, the meal/night is ruined due to awfully slow service! Takes a huge amount of time to receive the meal you order most times which is a shame, as the food is very very good! Great size portions and beautiful flavoured. But the service is slow, even when there is nobody else in the building.

We have visited the Taj Mahal on a number of occasions over the last couple of years. The food has always been of a good standard. The service can be a little changeable and is very dependent on the numbers of diners. Although we haven't tried a takeaway yet, the menu suggests that they deliver for free within a 7 mile radius. This includes a number of holiday villages - St Ishmaels, Herbranston, Sandy Haven, Dale & Marloes. They do a Sunday night special which includes a starter, main and side for approx. £8 which offers really good value. As always with Indian cuisine, vegetarians are well catered for.

We had a takeaway from here the other night and it was delicious!! The food was lovely fresh tasting, lovely big portions. Would defo highly recommend, and if we ever come back to Milford we will defo go here again!!

La comida era increíble, así que sabrosa y grasiento. Fue la mejor comida que he tenido en años y recomiendo encarecidamente comer aquí. Se disculparon por la espera durante toda nuestra comida, pero no nos importó, ya que podíamos ver cómo estaban ocupados y la comida era deliciosa y la pena la espera. ¡volveremos!

Great selection of food on the menu! Mother and I had veggie food, both were amazing, with a bit to take home too

Nos propusimos encontrar un buen lugar para comer y este era excepcional india. Obras en la parte delantera hid el verdadero interior que era moderno, contemporáneo y confortable. El menú era abundante y el personal era muy amable. La comida estaba caliente y muy auténtico pipping que venía como una verdadera sorpresa! (no esperes encontrar buena comida india en Milford Sound). No podíamos comer todas nuestras comidas deliciosas, pero nos dieron una bolsa para el perro a casa lo mantiene. Una gran comida con bebidas y pagamos menos de 40 libras para tres de nosotros! ! Una ganga para la calidad.

Bien. Mi esposa y yo como un curry. Nos gusta un curry. El Taj Mahal, literalmente entregado, un delicioso curry. Puede haber sido que elegimos bien, pero lo que tuvimos! sabores Realmente fantástico. Si vivimos en la zona que estaría allí cada semana.

Went here who like a good curry! The Taj Mahal didn't let us down, good food and good service led to a very pleasant evening.

Have been here quite a few times. Friendly staff and reasonably priced food. Have eaten numerous dishes from menu and never disappointed. Sunday special price is same quality and applies to everything on menu. This is definitely the best indian restaurant in pembrokeshire for quality and price. Highly recommended.

Visited as a small family party of 4 earlier this evening. Nice clean restaurant, fresh decor, food was very good from the popadoms & pickle tray right through the main courses and all freshly prepared. Far too full to order deserts! Only quibble would be service was slow considering restaurant was nearly empty but would definitely visit again, price very reasonable

Me and the wife have had takeaways from here in the past and all has been ok, up until last nights, ordered taj special kebab with no onions, It arrived with 40mins and that's fine, but upon opening my food found onions everywhere and was only just warm, but I was hungry so spent 5mins taking out the onions, and reheated as it was cold by this time, don't no what you have done but just wasent like is was b4 half of it went in the bin sorry guys.

Visited with my immediate family and parents for a rare get together. My parents use this place regular and rave about the food. I hadn't eaten here for years and was unsure if it would match up to their description. In honesty, it was really good. I took a mixed kebab and a lamb garlic chilli dish. I ordered rice and a stuffed paratha. The paratha didn't actually arrive but it was a god send really as I was more than satisfied by what I had. I was a tad underwhelmed by the service by a couple of the staff. Two failed to crack a smile and gave an odd glare when I asked for the kids cokes to be changed as they were flat. Having said that, one of the waiting staff that came to the table towards the end of the meal was very attentive and happy.

There where six of us eating on a Sunday evening so took advantage of the fantastic Sunday special, we have eaten here at other times and enjoyed the Taj Mahal. The service is friendly and prompt with plenty of food as the portions are generous and very tasty. The menu has a wide choice. The homemade onion bahjis are especially good! Nice background music and its fun when they have Bollywood movies silent on the TV in the background. All round very enjoyable experience and one of the nicest places to eat in Milford Haven.

I am not putting a crap review over the food I must say the food is excellent. After being advised to come here and sit in the restaurant for food we decided to come this weekend. I have to say the service we received from Katie and Tommy was excellent. Katie sat us both down for food, explained to us the menus and if there was any problems or if we needed anything to let her or another member of staff know, Tommy took our drinks very quickly and Katie then came over to take our order for food. (Excellent service guys! Couldn't of welcomed us any better, keep up the good work) Food came out quickly and was delicious. We were welcomed very well and the staff couldn't of for filled our needs any better. The only reason why I am putting 2 stars is because the blonde haired girl came across as rude, caught her on her phone constantly and was bickering with who I think was between herself and management over cleaning fridges? Whilst everyone else was trying to see to customers. Apart from that we are happy about our visit and will be back soon! Thank you so much Katie and Tommy

We went as a group of about 30 and the staff coped brilliantly. Everyone had loads of variety and the service was really quick considering there were so many of us. Myself and another of the group are vegetarians and we were well catered for with no fussing.

Wanted an Indian and the Indian on the Milford Haven wharf has closed down,, Taj Mahal wouldn't have been our first choice but am glad we gave it a try. Staff were very efficient and welcoming and the meal was excellent. Very tasty, hot and service was very good. Would definately recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a really good Indian experience. Well done to all the staff.

moved to milford a few weeks ago from England and to have food as tasy and filling as up there was a real find but finally we have found the right place to go at the end which was the taj mahal. me and my partner ordered drinks which were served within seconds along with the starters with only a five minute wait! food came out after 10 minutes after the starters which we were amazed by as they were quite busy on sitdowns. the portions were huge we both could've shared a main, you could taste the flavour and spices. the service was brilliant, the staff were ready to help and they made us feel comfortable. overall I could not pick out one fault from this place and I would definitely recommend it.

Brill food. Little slow on occasion but always worth the wait. Good prices too. Deffo recommend for takeaway or sit in meal.

Down in Milford Haven for a funeral.Restaurant very quiet with only one other diner but 3 or 4 takeaways were served while we ere there.Ordered promptly and drinks came quickly with food only some 15 mins later.Portions very healthy and served hot.Struggled to finish the food which was very tasty.Based on our experience we would recommend it.

If you would like a 2 hour wait for a cold curry and naan bread on a cold plate this is the place to be. Appalling service never been so disappointed and unwanted and unwelcome in a restraunt in my life. Would avoid this place like the plague.

I would be able to write a review about the food but I never ate it, we waited about 30+ minutes for our starters and all came out at different times. For our main we all waited over 25+ minutes and they all came out at different times to get our food, we received hot plates for our food but they were cold by the time we had our food, the food was very cold and we all left full plates

Called into town ordered the food it took 25 minutes as expected when ordering for 5. Very happy with flavour, temperature and presentation. The place was busy with takeaways restuarant was quiet. The waiting area was clean, spacious, plenty of seating with magazines and a TV. I enjoyed my Cobra while waiting.

I had high hopes for this restaurant, reading the mixed bag of reviews we chose this as our evening meal whilst working in the area. The restaurant was empty when we arrived and we werent sure it was open. The decor is dated and bar looks incomplete. The waitress took our drinks and food order and we were excited by the extensive menu. When it arrived the food was bland and poorly presented. The service was atrocious and although I am a true believe of dont upset the chef until youve finished, i was compelled to offer a complaint, deaf ears and ignorance seemed to win through and we finished our meal and left the resturant. Maybe we caught them on a bad night or the chefs mind was elsewhere but i would not recommend this establishment and was the brunt of many jokes today at our clients premises.

This restraunt is easily accessed form the main street and offer free parking outside normal shop opening hours.Good food to eat in and a great take out exceptional value.

Ate here on Sunday night for the 'Sunday Special' it was as always really lovely. Food is never disappointing and tasty every time. Only slight negative is that the service could be slightly better in regard to checking if everything was ok and asking if we wanted more drinks. A small issue given how lovely the food was.

Been here a few times. The food is good and well priced. But the place is usually empty, mostly take away seem to be the main business.Service slow and not able to pay by card the night we went.Such a shame, the owners need to improve general standards here.With the quality of food the place might even get busy!

An above average Indian Restaurant , well laid out with some character. Good menu and beers, and good service/attention. Not too pricey!

Very pleased to find the Taj Mahal open and happy to serve us at about 10pm. Service was curtious and efficient, food was exactly what we ordered and perfectly acceptable, if unremarkable. The restaurant interior is spacious and light. We would definitely go again, would probably order one fewer portions of rice though.

This is a tidy and tastefully decorated restaurant. The seating area is quite large which can make the place seem not as busy as it actually is. The menu is a typical Indian one with a huge choice of dishes.For starters, I had a Nargis Kebab. This was extremely tasty but was poorly presented. It just came with a lemon wedge and no side salad. For my main course, I chose Chicken Tikka Madras, Pilau Rice and Saag Aloo. This was all very good, especially the Saag Aloo, but again the presentation was basic with no garnishes.I never have chips in an Indian restaurant, but one of our group had Special Bombay Chips (I think that is what they were called) and they were stunning. They were chips covered in a sauce with small pieces of chicken tikka and make a great side dish for anyone not wanting rice.The food is very reasonably priced and the service pleasant enough. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

As a vegan I'm always on guard with eating out. I need good communication and expect good service. The food here was yummy I had a Sag Aloo (always a good test for any Indian, was not disappointed) also a vegetable Vindaloo lovely flavour but I didn't break a sweat so it earnt the average rating. My only grumble was the service, no one in control of the floor, I had to keep waving like I just didn't care... When I paid gave a fiver for a tip the waitress snatched it and carried on. At this point I needed a fake very wet full size Kipper so I could slap the waitress, gently of course! Just to let her know I was there..... Ok, rant over! If your hungry the food is yummy. Enough said! Peace

Food was delicious but was let down by the British people serving who seemed more interested in folding serviettes than serving our table. One member of the group had to ask for drinks on three occasions and had to actually walk up to the bar to ask for them. Not acceptable in a quiet restaurant. The waiter did not know what any of the dishes were and guessed! We had to tell him....a little more training perhaps or perhaps just some communication! Really was a shame as the food was superb and always is...best get a takeaway instead!

An extensive menu of all the classics at very reasonable prices. Beware portion sizes are large. An enjoyable Indian. Service was mixed one waitress was delightful while a second couldn't be bothered.

Our visit was for a birthday treat... I was extremely disappointed. The restaurant wasn't busy but the service was disgraceful. The staff made themselves comfortable at a table at the rear of the restaurant. The ones who were serving mostly avoided eye contact and even ignored us when we tried to get their attention. Eventually I called out to one of them to pack up our food and we got up and paid at the bar.

Went here with 5 of my friends lovely food and service 6 starters 6 mains 7 drinks £89 . we will be back

I was recommend this place, I can't fault the service and the seating. Really lovely inside. What is do fault is the food colouring in my lamb tikka masala. sorry but I don't want bright red sweet curry.

I popped into the Taj Mahal on a Saturday for dinner. It was not busy, with perhaps only four tables of diners. I ordered the lamb tikka, which was surprisingly disappointing. The lamb was far overcooked: dry and stringy. The sauce tasted fine but was distinctly sweet. Is sugar usually added to that sauce? If so it's never been obvious to me before. And the rice that came with the dish also seemed dried out, as if it had been kept in a warmer too long. Meanwhile, a couple dining a table away exclaimed with joy and awe how absolutely wonderful their dish was – and seemed to do so with each bite. I felt like the woman in that movie "When Harry Met Sally," who said at a restaurant, "I'll have what they're having." Too bad I ordered before they did. Apparently there's variation in the quality of the dishes and I picked wrong. May you have better luck.I can commend the attentive service and the restaurant itself is exceptionally tidy and faultlessly clean. Strangely though, I noted that the restaurant's acoustics are very bright, with a lot of hard surfaces to reflect sound. With just a handful if tables and a few staff it was surprisingly noisy. If you want a quiet spot for dinner this won't be the place, especially if it's a busy night.

i honestly dont know why we havn't been here before! it was the best indian restaurant i have ever been too. the service was absolutely wonderful and the price was cheaper than we had expected it to be! will be visiting here from now on.

Always get a fast, friendly service. The food is good. The naan breads are gorgeous. I would give five stars if they did more vegetables without high calorie sauces.

Came here with a party of 8, as we booked 3 nights earlier we had a table ready for us. Staff greeted us very politely and escorted us to our table. Lovley decor with great music. It was a very busy saturday seeming as they had a party of 15 but this never affected us. They were very busy seemin as the only had 1 waiter and 1 waitress. We had our order taken with us asking so many questions but the young girl was ready to help us with our choices. Our food got delayed due to the party but thr staff were very apologetic. The food had great quantity and you could taste the spices everything was more than we had expected it to be we were never ignored. The price was very reasonable. I would reccomend this to any indian food lovers defo be going back

We came here on the advice of our landlady and were not disappointed. The place was very busy and the staff really friendly considering that there were only 2 waiters plus a new starter. The food took a while but tasted very fresh and the spices were amazing.I would definitely recommend this restaurant. We didn't book and were quit lucky as the place filled up very quickly for a Wednesday night. I would imagine that you may need to book for a Friday and Saturday night.

we went there on a sunday evening for the sunday buffet and I must say that despite they were very busy they make delicious food it was the best meal I had. we were seen by a gentlemen who showed us to our table he greeted us and was very enthusiastic. a lady came and got our drinks order and our food order. when the food came out we were very impressed by the presentation and the food it was a great evening but the only thing that upset me was when we went to pay our bill we wernt given any after 8s, they mentioned that they don't give out any mints on sunday. however it was a great evening all for £7.95

I had been there on a tuesday and I must say that it was the best indian I had ever had!! I travelled all over the world and I have been to many indian restaurants but none of them have been as good as this 1.. There was 2 of us and we had sat on a far corner tbl. A little girl had greeted us and took us to our table, she was the only waitress there and she had a lot of tables to serve. She was very polite and friendly she has a lot of humour. It was a very good service. We ordered a chicken bombay which contained a boiled egg, chicken in a souce and a tikka massala which both were very well presented and were delicious. We ordered a garlic nan which I could smell a mile off but it was fine by me I enjoyed the evening we were given after 8s at the end as well! I would recommend this place to indian lovers, I will defo be going back for sure...

We went there for an evening meal. We haven't sat down yet when the waiter through the menues on the table. There was no hello or good evening. The same happened to guests at the neighbours table. Very rude and unfriendly staff, so we decided to spend our money at a more friendly restaurant and left without wasting our time or money here.

Go quite often for the all you can eat sunday buffet excaellent value service may not be briiliant it also does good delivery service for takeaways.

I have recently been there with my husband and I have to say it was well worth it. The food was excellent, the staff were very kind and helpful. It is 1 of the best indian meals I had ever eaten. I shall be going back there for sure!!!! :)

Great Indian food at very reasonable prices & huge portions! The only fault - lack of heating in the winter. Give it a try, but wait 'til the summer!

I had a takeaway from here only a few days ago and I was very impressed. We placed a large order for 5 of us and went and collected it from the restaurant. Staff were pleasant and gave us a few freebies which was a nice touch. Freebies included onion bahjas, salad, prawn crackers (yes prawn crackers) and some sort of spicy potato salad. All of the main dishes were tasty and very filling. I had the special Bombay chicken masala which had a thick layer of cheese on (yum). They also did chips which came with pieces of chicken tikka in a tomato sauce that was a nice difference to plain chips. Some of the starters that we had werent quite as good as expected, the chicken chat had far too many onions in but all in all an impressive Indian that's worth a visit.

Had nice meal my mrs and 5 year old daughter but I was sick and the bad belly when I got home . Mrs was bad in morning . And all day Lucky our daughter was ok . It was the rice that made us bad cos that's was the only thing our daughter didn't eat .we all had same curry Had many Sunday special here but NEVER AGAIN shame really

great food and service. Attended last minute on Mothers day with two kids. Lovely food and plentiful. The only downfall for the evening was when we went to pay. We had a gift voucher bought in September and they were really difficult about taking it. First they said we should have used it sooner and then we should have told them we had it. At the end of the day they sell you a voucher with no terms and conditions. They did take it but this spoilt the evening. However we will be back but will never taeka voucher again or buy won for friends or family

Every now and again I will eat at this restaurant or purchase a takeaway. I am constantly disappointed as the quality of food gets worse every time. This is a shame as the service in the restaurant is excellent, with all of the staff there extremely friendly and accommodating. The Sunday special is extremely popular and rightly so. It is sad to see that the Taj Mahal do not put the same effort into their food as they do into their service.

Been to the Taj Mahal a few times with friends for the Sunday special. You cannot beat it! A starter, main and two sides for a low price! None of us are able to finish our meal as there is so much food! Really delicious food and hot (temperature). Service is average but expected as a takeaway/restaurant. Will definitely be back!

My partner and I ordered food from Taj Mahal last month. The delivery was within the estimated time and we were given a little freebie, which was lovely. We did spend quite a bit of money though.We ordered Onion Bahji's (which weren't as crispy as they could be, but had been in a delivery bag for an hour so...acceptable) Poppadoms and a pickle tray (absolutely delicious Mango Chutney, best I've ever tasted) Chicken Tikka Massala and Pilau Rice (best tikka massala ever) and Tandoori Chicken on the bone (absolutely amazing. Incredibly juicy. I haven't had tandoori chicken that wasn't dry)All in all I would recommend this restaurant to everyone. It is amazing. Will definitely be ordering from here any time I want Indian.

We found this restaurant a couple of weeks ago. It was recommended by others in Milford Haven as being good Indian food and friendly service. It is a big barn of a place and must at times be very busy; when we went there were few other customers but the welcome was warm (as was the room).This was good food well described in the menu and with a waitress who clearly cared about whether we enjoyed the evening. The chef's specials were great and the other dishes were all well cooked and well spiced. A real find for us at 9p.m. that evening when other restaurants were not welcoming customers. This is definitely one I would visit again when in the area.
