Dial a Curry in Pembrokeshire

Our second time ordering to Howleston Caravan Park! First time August 2023 and this evening. Friendly staff, very accommodating and great value for money. The food is excellent. Thank you so much! Hannah and Sharon :)

We went to try this place, which has a new owner. Online ordering does not work. Also, why does the curry restaurant sell kebab doner? The food is tasteless and salty, and there is nothing written on the menu. If you want to eat Indian food, this is definitely not the address.

Ordered for the first time today I live in hakin and food was here with in a hour was hot didn't have to reheat anything food was tasty and fresh can't complain will definitely be ordering again

Ordered a curry on boxing day as this place was showing as open, website said it was open and was accepting orders. Placed our order and turned up to collect it but a guy just came to the door and said they were closed. He sent me a refund via the app without an apology or explanation as to why it was cancelled just saying they were closed.

Curry is nice but Prawns are very very very chewy. Asked how much and got money ready, when delivered, they ask for more, making it very expensive for old prawns. No thanks...no more.

Ordered for delivery whilst visiting Tenby. First of all the receptionist has zero idea about food served here. She wasn't sure what halal food was and had to check. Were unable to take card payments over the phone and had to download food hub. Finally ordered and the food was bland and tasteless would not recommend Ordered a chicken bhuna and it was full of sauce and the chicken was as if it had been boiled and added in. Chapatti was raw from one side The chips were dry and for it being a curry place the only nice thing we're the chicken nuggets 🤦🏾‍♀️avoid and get a pizza instead Definitely not a proper curry if you know what one tastes like, more suited to English taste buds

Ordered for the first time and didn’t regret it one bit absolutely outstanding food and would highly recommend to anyone even got kid meals if your child not a fan of curries ect… the service was outstanding and food came piping hot … best Indian me and partner have had in a long time and you won’t be disappointed with portion size !! So please don’t hold back get your orders in as you will soon be back x

New ownership... Disappointed... The garlic and cheese naan didn't have any chesse on it and was overcooked / burnt. The keema rice lacked flavour. The dansak was ok but not great and it was so much more expensive than other Indian takeaways from Haverfordwest. Id recommend going elsewhere

Took over 1.5 hrs for food to get delivered and food was stone cold, once heated food was good.

Good quality Indian food freshly prepared by a friendly and skilled staff. I visited the takeaway rather than ordered by phone and was immediately welcomed. The only Indian food outlet in the area that is open on Tuesday evenings, it was doing brisk business but staff were attentive and the order was soon underway in the kitchen next door. I could glimpse the traditional tandoor oven which gives their food such an authentic flavour. Whilst waiting, a number of local regulars came in which indicates to me that this is popular place. It has a wide ranging menu with generous portions. Highly recommended.

We order & half everything. In the picture. We have vegetable kurma, peshwari naan, chicken tikka wrap & saag aloo. We have been here 3 years & have eaten at Taj Mahal, seven spices & Bangladeshi place In Haverfordwest which is closed. I can honestly say we can’t believe dial a curry is the first time we’ve ordered from here & it is 100% the best. Prices are decent. Portion is great. It’s not greasy or watery. Dial a curry will be our only place we will order Indian food from now on. Delivery boy was lovely. 5* highly recommend.

Ordered Butter Chicken that ended up tasting like chicken in coconut sauce with some spices. We were very disappointed and even more disappointed when after calling and telling the restaurant we didn’t like it there were no efforts to find a compromise. We wouldn’t recommend ordering here!

*DOES THIS LOOK LIKE PILAU??? 🤣🤣 Ordered via food up, we are a regular usually here We were sent boiled rice instead of pilau rice, I ordered a prawn korma, but gosh knows what they sent as that was not a korma! Phoned up to say wrong order and the MAN behind the phone was SO SO RUDE, telling me I was wrong.. considering we order all the time this was not the way to treat a regular customer!! Finally we were sent what was called a new order- however it was the same order just microwaved- Chicken from chicken curry was hard, so didn't eat it. Boiled rice was hard too- korma still white in colour. Didn't taste like korma but was edible (hopefully doesn't give us a bad belly tomorrow!!!!!!)

Good food … good portions .. quite possibly the only take away we could find in Pembroke who advertise themselves as Halal. Good staff and big menus on offer … thanks … Recommended

I didn’t even step foot in the takeaway but parked outside it to go to the shop next door just to be aggressively suggested that someone may vandalise the car by the takeaway manager

Food was luke warm had lot better will not use again for long time very disappointing. Would not recommend worst ever had.

Go elsewere I ordered last night for the first time as i just moved to the area and it was the worst ive ever had we ordered four different curries none of which changed much in flavour not great quality and the onion bhajis where dry and horrible all went in the bin. Ordered a garlic naan which turned out to be plain and the mushroom rice was horrible just tasted like salt safe to say will never bother with this place again got 2 starts as was warm and eddible

A super curry would highly recommend. Try the Indian egg yum yum.

Easily the best curry in Pembrokeshire, I just wish they were closer to home. Whenever we're in Haverfordwest we get a takeaway from here for our supper.

Just had the most delicious curry from this place, well up to the standard of anywhere else we've eaten. Good menu choice, well presented, tasty food and quick delivery. Cost was £44 for three of us, more than enough for us all with enough left over for lunch next day. I'd recommend them highly.

The good standard of food they once had, have slipped away. Serving yesterdays old and hard onion bhaji, along with watery tasteless curry is disgraceful. Won't be buying here again.

Order from this establishment frequently, can't fault the food but my daughter picked the delivery up and was made to feel uncomfortable by the staff teasing her... Order was not correct perhaps the fault was our end not ordering the correct set meal but when phoned and questioned this, the staff were rude and straight to the point it was our mistake! Very disappointed as this is our go to Indian takeaway. A little more understanding customer service goes a long way...

I have had three takeaways meals for two people now over the last 2 months. Absolutely outstanding food and very friendly delivery staff. Cannot fault in any respect. Highly, highly recommend.

I've struggled over the last few months to find a consistently decent indian takeaway, until I discovered these guys. I've been here twice now within a few weeks, and i've really enjoyed on both occasions. My first visit I tried the chicken tikka vindaloo, this was excellent, tender tasty chicken and a nicely spiced rich sauce. On my next visit I braved a chicken tikka phal, again superb, quite hot but not over the top. So I'm impressed. I'm now craving a decent curry!!Stay safe everyone

Never had a bad meal from here. Food is always tasty, never greasy and delivery is always prompt. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend!

Have struggled to find a good curry in this area, discovered this and finally found a consistently decent curry. Service always polite, live outside delivery area but well worth the drive to collect.

Got the rice/naan order wrong but brought the right order within ten minutes to fix it Food is absolutely fantastic, curry was as good as any I have had in the Balti area in Birmingham . Not oily at all, everything was absolutely delicious and reasonably priced. Definitely would use again without hesitation

Decent curries both the Madras and the Jalfrezi were tasty but not quite hot enough the Bahji's were a bit dry and tasteless and the rice was like bullets they must have mixed 2 batches because half of it was fine but the rest were hard and not cooked

Customer service very rude when placing order!! Didn't receive my salad and mint yoghurt sauce with my tandoori chicken main and wrong curry received. ..was given a hot curry with chillies

The maneger was very rude and argumentative, the chicken was rubbery and dry and I foyfoa pice of string in my naan bread will never order from them again absolutely disgusting food and costermer survice!!!!!

I recently picked up a take away and it was excellent as per usual but I have to say how lovely the staff are there. My husband couldn't get hold of me and the only option was to ask the gentleman on Dial a curry to pass on a message to me as my husband knew I was going there after work. My mum wasn't well and the Dr was called out so they relayed this message and also told me not to worry. How sweet was this?!! Excellent service.

Made a large order for a family visit. Found sharp plastics in the food whilst eating it. Young children would definitely of choked if they had eaten it. Everyone was put off their food incase there was more and the whole meal was thrown away. It was late, I had to make a whole new dinner for everyone. I put the plastics in a piece of paper and kept it safe so i could bring it to the restuarant in the morning to show them. I arrived just before their opening times so i could have a quiet word and get my money back. The staff member looked and touched the plastic and confirmed it was a plastic container and if i wanted a refund i had to come back later. Came back a 2nd time for them to accuse me of putting it in there myself. Said theres not a chance of me getting a full refund, refused to show me their policies then told me their policies arent on paper, its just what they choose to say Told them that I would go to food standards and report it to which they said i was threatening them and they were going to phone the police. It was very uncomfortable with them raising their voices along with very negative body language, which unfortunately my 2 young children had to witness. Luckily it was all documented which will help with my report for reporting it to food standards agency.

Just had a brilliant meal delivered in 30 minutes . The curry was one of the best curries I've ever had lots of chicken and light fluffy rice. Will use all the time now.

Brilliant food! The kitchens are visible when you collect, and are very clean and you can see all the fresh ingredients. They deliver to a big area and found my house unlike half the parcel delivery companies! Cheap too, and the staff are really friendly.

Used this place twice in a week on the recommendation of the "Eat Out Vegan Wales" website. Prices were good, food was really nice and delivery to our out-of-the-way holiday cottage was perfect each time. Would definitely use again.

Llegamos en Haverfordwest bastante tarde en la noche del viernes para salir a comer, así que decidimos pedir de Dial-A-Curry en su lugar.

He pedido comida desde aquí muchas veces y disfrutar de la comida más veces. El servicio no es de un alto nivel debido a que sólo se un hombre en el mostrador de recepción, tratando de responder a dos teléfonos, pero la comida es siempre a un alto nivel.

Haverfordwest is now my closest town for takeaways. A lot of Indian takeaways there seem very expensive but this place is very reasonable. They are also very nice people who are eager to please.

Encontré este lugar por casualidad mientras conducíamos hacia Haverfordwest durante sus vacaciones en la zona. Es sólo para llevar un restaurante no sentarse. Una de las mejores comidas indias que he tenido por mucho tiempo. A un precio muy razonable e incluso añade algunos gratuitos y Pilau arroz Patatas Bombay. Servicio muy rápido aunque algunos pedidos delante de nosotros. Sin duda recomiendo este lugar si estás en esta zona.

Ordered takeaway, and although service was prompt and friendly the curry tasted of floral toilet cleaner chemicals and was inedible. The naan was nice, but didn't make up for the rest of the dinner. May have just been ours, but would avoid at all costs, makes you wonder what else is in your food

Its very rare we treat our selves to an Indian takeaway, so when we do we hope for something special. Unfortunately this didn't live up to our hopes.It wasn't Bad, but really was very plain. We had a onion bajis to start and Chicken Chaat. The bajis were very small, quite hard and dry and over cooked with no flavour at all. The Chaat was nice, spicy but a bit cloying and rich - good size protion though. The mains - Balti chicken with mushroom and, Butter Chicken; The balti was very bland with absolutely no real flavour and we really do not know where the mushrooms were. The butter chicken (in the past we've had some lovely ones) was (I think) just a Korma with butter added to it. Very mild and coconutty with a very thick sauce, but that was all. To me literally just a slightly buttery Korma.I believe it is the first time we have ever left quite a bit of the meal - because we just didnt feel like eating the rest. Normally we would really go for it! So overall, bland and quite disapointing, not horrible but certainly nothing in the least special.Must say delivery was quick and the driver found our farmhouse!

Good take away curry without the layer of ghee floating on the top that so often accompanies take away curries. The lamb jalfrezi was very spicy and the vegetable korma very creamy. Chicken chaat was gorgeous and swift delivery too. What will certainly order from them again.

We ordered from Dial a Curry because it was the only local Indian with delivery and a 5 rating for food safety and hygiene. The food was all delivered hot within 40 minutes and all the meals were very good. No complaints at all. My daughter particularly liked the vegetable kurma which was really creamy.

Ok, so the food arrived cold, cold chips, sausage etc, small portions, a pint of sugar sauce and 5 bits of chicken doesn't count as a curry. Bright yellow prawn crackers from where they hadn't changed the oil. Vulcanised cold sausage, just awful.They completely missed out our Onion Bahji's we ordered, then the man on the phone called me a liar. Generally rude guy as soon as he was challenged. Not to mention the price, 20 pounds for a curry and rice, and three very small portions of sausage and chips. Absolute rip.I would never order from here again and I only wish I had checked out the reviews first, as alot of other people have had the same problems. Shape up lads!!

Yelled at my 15 year old guest for having the balls to call out a wrong order. I'm literally speechless.

Terrible service. Got the order wrong and had the audacity to argue with me telling me that there is always something wrong. I live in London and I'm here to visit a friend so a) that is completely incorrect as I've never spoke to him before. B) after spending so much money he just yelled at a customer. I feel like I was in an episode of Gordon Ramsay's kitchen nightmare and seeing this restaurant sink with incorrect orders and refusing to listen to customers. I'd advise to stay miles away.

Best chicken korma I've ever gotten from a takeaway, it's sweet and has a strong coconut taste, which isn't over-whelming, it's absolutely delicious!!!

Great food delivered on time and at right temperature. No problems at all when I 'phoned through my order. A visitor to the area so was concerned if the driver would understand and know my holiday location. Needn't have worried, everything was perfect, thank you.

Due to my health I have had to cut down on my curries , unfortunately. Because I find 'Dial A Curry ' excellent . I have never had a curry that I have not liked , no matter what I have chosen . Gone are the days of the Vindaloos or Phals bot the Baltis and Biryanies and Jalfrazees are tasty and moorish . Their portions are excellent value for money and I often can make two meals out of it . Their service is excellent and they are quick, if there is a wait they will tell youv,very good service

We have had a few takeaways from here recently, and they are generally always good. Saying that they are OVER priced, they charge restaurant prices for takeaway service! Which in my opinion is just greed! Our last takeaway we had was quite poor, the rice was dry and cold, which was odd as normally it is piping hot. Also I was annoyed as I only ordered one rice, but got given two and charged for two!

The curry at this place is brilliant the rice is plentiful but....please dont order chips. An absolute let down barely enough. there are probably more potatoes in a bag of crisps to be honest. And to top it off charge you £3.60 for a large portion!! if you can call it large, couldnt believe my eyes.Great cheat around this though i have learnt is to visit the kebab house next door where you get twice as much for a lot less.
