genuinely one of the best burritos i’ve had. service was amazing staff were friendly and welcoming. size of the burrito was great and it tasted so good. 10/10 i will be going back soon.

We had Birria tacos and it wasn’t as exciting but the portions were decent for the price. But what let us the down was the service. After we sat upstairs we waited for about 10-15 mins for someone to take our order (we were the only customers at the time) but ended up having to go downstairs to order and get drinks by ourselves.

It's the perfect spot for Birra tacos, surprisingly it’s nice. They had friendly staffs and absolute amazing hospitality. Highly recommend!

I had a burrito for £8. The portion size was okay but the taste was nowhere close to burritos I have had before. The volcano Burrito from TacoBell tastes better at a cheaper price

Ordered takeaway and it took over two hours to arrive after originally saying 40-60 minutes and had clearly been microwaved before leaving the restaurant as everything was boiling hot including the pots of sour cream and lettuce. We ordered the taco tray but didn’t receive any veggie chilli. The man on the phone doesn’t give you accurate updates so you are just left wondering what’s going on.

Pedimos la bandeja de tacos que claramente había sido microondas antes de salir del restaurante, ya que las ollas de lechuga y crema agria estaban calientes y todo en la caja estaba hirviendo caliente. Faltaba chile vegetal, los frijoles mezclados eran solo frijoles y una olla de salsa había estallado por toda la bolsa. Los churros estaban completamente rancios y fríos. Muy caro para la calidad de la comida, sin importar la tardanza o la temperatura! No volverá a ordenar desde allí. 0 / 10

It does take awhile to come, like the other reviews says. At an hour mark I called the restaurant for an update and they said it’s “getting prepared right now” will be another 20 mins- We got the Birria Tostada, which describes as “they come alongside crispy nachos, pickled onions, and a side of rich Birria sauce for dipping.” On uber eats. Did we get those sides? Nothing. Also ordered sides of chips, nacho cheese dip and guacamole. The guac described as “big” tub is such a lie. £3 for a 3 oz pot is just embarrassing. Chips wa cold had to reheat it in air fryer. The tostadas itself is okay, wish there was more sides to compliment the meals.

Good taste, excellent service. Highly recommend.

If you’re looking to order on uber eats… DONT. I ordered at around 6:30pm and it’s past 8pm and on uber it doesn’t show or update you at all because they use their own delivery drivers so you have no clue at all. Really poor. Food gets here basically cold.

I absolutely love taco mex. love love love BUT 7/10 orders I place they forget to add guacamole and peppers and onions… since 2018 it’s always hit and miss. For the best chimichanga around it’s still worth the risk of losing out on added avocado awesomeness

Ordered a few times. First time was perfect. Other orders have taken hours or not shown up at all. Won’t be ordering again unless they start using uber delivery drivers, they clearly can’t handle deliveries on their own. Shame because the food is really nice.

My mate and I we both had Birria tacos, and wow the tacos were absolutely fantastic, I think you get the amount of food that you are paying, so the tacos were fully loaded, the Birria caldo recaudo gravy whatever you call it here in the Uk it was delicious, so my recommendation is extremely positive and I will definitely go back any time soon.

Ordered lunch today which was gorgeous with lovely fresh ingredients. Portion sizes were generous and the churros were to die for. Will definitely eat here again 😋

I decided to revisit this place after a great experience few years ago. Delivery was 45 minutes late, as expected from reviews, but the food was the real letdown. The chicken nachos lacked chicken mole and were dry with sparse toppings—not worth nearly £10. The beef chili burrito was generously packed but arrived lukewarm and lacked flavor. I really want to love this place, but this order missed the mark.

Ordered gluten free burrito but was no tortilla wrap included, had to provide our own. No option to remove unliked products or omit unwanted ingredients. Waited 45 from notification of goods being on the way despite being only a couple of miles away so food was cold when it arrived.

now don't get me wrong the potion size is very good, however the taste was well honestly rather bland with a bit of a kick when I reached a jalapeno but honestly the chicken seemed tough and the wrap was again sorry to say but really bland. all very filling and seemed quite healthy just very bland sadly. I was very excited for this meal but I was disappointed.

Food is good to very good, but…delivery (ordered via uber) is an absolute joke. Minimum 2 hour wait (for 1.2 miles) despite promises of 20 minutes. Orders are ‘delivered by the restaurant’ so no option to track. Requesting updates will just lead to you being ignored and the phone number provided is never answered. Clearly can’t handle deliveries and should not be offering the service. Completely unacceptable service.

First things first, the decor is really good, it's a nice cozy sitting area that could fit around 15 people. They nailed it there. Second, the birria tacos are amazing, I've had lots of different birria and this definitely rates pretty high up there. The meat platter was okay, the chicken mole was something new and interesting. Overall for the price, which is higher than average for what I'd expect for London Road, it is a good tasty filling meal, expect to spend 12-20 per person.

Twice in a row the food took more than 2 hours to arrive. In addition to that, the first time this happened they also forgot to deliver a drink we ordered and the second time it happened they delivered the wrong burrito (chicken while we paid extra for beef). We used to be regulars but now we will never order from this place again.

So we went into the Sheffield store, to try taco mex. Always walking past it and decided to give it a shot. We ordered chipotle wings, xl burrito and birria tacos. When ordering my food, the lady didn’t know what she was doing, when she was putting my order in the till. We asked if there was seating upstairs, and they said yes so we ordered and went upstairs. We went up and waited for our food to arrive, took about 25 mins at this point me and my partner were really hungry, so we went to ask how long it’d be and they said 2 mins and we waited for another 10 mins. Our food then arrived, couldn’t really say anything about the food it was top notch, but service was absolutely ridiculous. The staff were really loud, they dropped utensils a couple of times too.

Chicken burrito as tasty but the veggie burrito didn't seem to have a veggie chilli con carne in it and just seemed to consist of rice, kidney beans and onions. The extra guacamole was also missing from the burrito.

The worst place I have ever ordered from they scammed me out of my money and didn’t even deliver the food. We kept calling multiple times and they failed to answer and when we called again they said wait 5 minutes and if the order doesn’t arrive call back. We called them back and they came up with a bullsh*t excuse and didn’t even return our money back. If you want to get scammed out of your money order from Taco Mex on London road in Sheffield

First time in trying this restaurant. They had exactly what me and my daughter wanted on the menu had the birra tacos and the birra quesadilla with loaded fries everything was cooked fresh with unbelievable flavours and tasted outstanding. Friendly polite delivery man and arrived 10minutes early so for me it was a 10 out of 10experience will definitely be ordering again

Awful. Got a quesadilla, paid for guacamole. No quac in it. Got a sour cream and it tasted like nothing. Watered down sour cream. Got a random orange sauce that tasted of nothing. Quesadilla was wet and soggy and has a no flavour. Horrendous.

Ordered online off uber eats, says it'll take 20-30 mins and it ends up not arriving at all. Unreal, it seems like if you order from here you're either waiting at least over an hour for your food or not getting it at all. Seen a few replies from the restaurant on other reviews saying they were busy but thats not an excuse to not provide the service that people have paid for. If you can't meet the demand then you should stop offering deliveries. (Do not order from here)

My food was over 2.5 hours late. I had to ring the resteraunt 5 times to get an update when it was coming. Food turned up and was cold and horrible. Avoid at all costs.

The fact that my food was delayed multiple times and you aren’t giving me any money back for my delayed order is a complete joke. Will not be ordering again from here

Disappointed 😞 really fancied a good feed on something very tasty so chose what we'd hoped would be a great mexican place. Sadly not what we got. Served as you see in an interesting way, this £22 sharing tray was pretty bland and still not that hot even after being sent back once. The eatin g in area is up some very steep stairs with really wobbly tables but the decorations are characterful. We did get given some tasty churros with chocolate, not sure if they were with the meal deal or as an apology for the main course.

The food took about 2 hrs 20 to turn up, after initially being estimated that it would take 30m. I called on numerous occasions, and was continually mislead and informed by the man answering the phone that the food will be about "20 minutes" this was told to me on 3 or 4 separate occasions. These guys just get it right, I’ve introduced so many of my friends to this place and they’ve always loved it! Definitely not one to miss out on and the staff are super friendly too. 10/10 overall

Visited taco mex for the birria tacos. Warm welcome when entering the restaurant. Food order taken swiftly and we’re told to take a seat in the seating area upstairs. Food was 10/10 very tasty and filling and great service from the gent serving on the till (didn’t get his name). Would highly recommend and visit again.

Asked what they recommended between the chilli burrito and the pulled beef burrit. They said the pulled beef. For the price i was expecting it to be really good. Cost nearly £20 for the burrito, chips and a drink. Seemed like it had zero seasoning on it at all. A lot of very plain pulled beef with plain rice. A little bit of sauce and a few kidney beans here and there. The chips were just plain chips. I didnt ask for salt and vinegar on them which was my fault. But overall very plain and tasteless meal

Usually I like ordering from Taco Mex as their Loaded Mex Chip are amazing. But these were just drab, onions, coriander and jalapeños with a smidge of seemed to be tomato sauce made them boring and dry. I wouldn’t have been bothered about them being late had they actually tasted nice. Not even bothered with the Burrito. Horrific.

Looks small but there is seating inside upstairs. I’ve only tried the birria tacos, it’s 4 for £11 which is decent as they’re decently sized and filling. The flavours are there and they’re really tasty. Service is good and can get busy. In terms of cleanliness the tables were sticky. Decor is chic. Wait time was reasonable. Reasonably priced. Other than the few cons, the food was amazing and that’s enough for me. Will come again for Birria tacos yet to try more of the menu. Food is halal

tried Birria tacos for the first time and i ordered from here the beef birria tacos and it was so delicious, especially with the dipping sauce it comes with . will definitely reccomend it's also halal for those who struggle to find halal birria tacos in sheffield!!!!

Best Mexican food in Sheffield, however I decided to order the burger worst choice I ever made, burger come in a puddle of juices all soggy what you expect wrapped in foil covered in various sauces and salsa. I’ll stick to the chimichanga next time. Would’ve thought you’d get a dip with the nachos as standard but nope they must be ordered separate. Chips were hot and fresh, as for the doughnuts they could’ve been made to order wouldn’t have been so hard.

I tried this place for my birthday recently, on a friend's recommendation. The food was amazing! My husband and I had burritos, Mexican potatoes, and empanadas, all delicious and with generous portions. It's now one of our favorite spots for good value. Perfect birthday dinner!

Awful. Food arrived an hour after ordering and it was completely the wrong order. Clearly been a mistake and I’d been given someone else’s. Called the restaurant who said they would sort this and my actual order would be with me soon. Waited over an hour and it still hadn't arrived. Had to request a refund. waiting over 2 hours in total for nothing! Won’t be using this branch again.

I love Taco Mex! It's my favorite spot in town. The staff, especially Mohsin Safi, is friendly. The food is top-notch, even though some might overlook it due to the cost.

Absolutely INCREDIBLE birria tacos! seriously one of my favourite takeaways for a cheeky weekend night. they forgot one of our coke’s and the delivery driver literally came back 2 hours later with x2 cokes for us purely out of a good will gesture without us even asking as we didn’t see it as a massive deal.
