Taco Bell in Colchester

Food was good service was good however sitting in was a little bit meh theres only one table downstairs the rest are up we sat upstairs however it's was more the customers leaving there mess everywhere that ruined it and the toilets were a little bit broken but sometimes can't be helped would go again

I always enjoy taco 🌮 bell food, I am vegetarian n they have lots in vegetarian menu

We ordered from you through just eat. Took 3 hours and delivered to the wrong address. Crap

Food as expected, prepared fresh and reasonably priced considering how much you get in a box meal. Seating was available upstairs. Unfortunately, the toilets were in a dreadful state, so I would recommend another restaurant if you require the use of a toilet.

Nice venue. Nice staff. Tiny portions. £8 for half a box of food. You’re better off going to the kebab place literally across the road. Drinks are massively overpriced. I bought 2 of the same drinks GDK offers across the road at the Spa for the same price it would have cost me for one drink at GDK.

I arrived after 5pm, and currently they close at 5pm. Not sure why but when they "open at regular times, 11-10pm" I will review again. Taco Bell are normally good.

Food was great atmosphere was the only thing that was lacking

The eatery is getting tired, the table downstairs was unusable. Went upstairs, generally a bit grubby. I needed to use the ladies, if I wasn't busting I'd have gone elsewhere 🤢 the toilets were dirty and broken. Nasty.

Got served by this lovely lady named Katie, just finished a close at my own job and it was refreshing to see someone smiley and welcoming, plus the food bangs. ❤

Don’t let the pictures of a full burrito fool you. Tiniest portions ever. Had more jalapeños than chicken. Don’t waste your money and go to a more local burrito place that you will pay exactly the same and get 4x more, better quality food.

Cheap and cheerful Mexican food, but always seems empty!!

Wow our first time here, we travelled a long way as none near us. We were shown the allergens list on arrival , very confient staff. We were so impressed clean excellent food great service and the staff members went the extra mile to accommodate us 5* all round definitely recommend. We loved all the food! Will be back very soon......

Regular customer but no more-Food delivered and AGAIN, missing items?, phoned the shop and complained, spoke to manager ‘non British’ . Spoke to me like I was a child- very patronising.. lost custom here and will be taking this further with head office.

The food is as bland and as boring as the taco bell management. The manageress has no interpersonal skills whatsoever, and her staff look as miserable as the soggy fries.

Wow should of complained. First and last time I will be in Chilli nachos terrible .

Food was great as always and service was OK but felt rushed although we were the only customers, and the atmosphere was a bit lacking.

Staff members very rude tonight. I understand if you’re frustrated but that’s no right to take it out on customers. Friend wanted to go to the toilet and they had a go at us about it despite the fact we had ordered food. Told us it wasn’t their job to re sanitised anything. Despite us getting here ages before closing. Wouldn’t go there again if they are working.

Had the burrito meal for 2 was a great deal, which filled us both up and was much nicer than McDonald's, was also really quick.

I like Taco Bell and other people don’t,always found the food to be good and hot.

Staff lacking training and common sense

The food was better since the last time I tried Taco Bell here. The food was fine however the crunch wrap was falling apart before I tried to eat it. Not a big deal but I know if you grill the top longer it holds together and will stay together. It is Taco Bell so I'm not expecting much. The service was fine, though the atmosphere here is loud and has a horrible echo.

Tried my first ever taco bell and loved it, lady who served me was friendly and helpful, as it was my first meal here, I got a small spicy chicken burrito and cheesy fries to try .... LOVELY.. left me thinking of another all day lol.... I usually don't like trying new foods and stick to what I know, but will happily eat herw again, also the prices are good considering how expensive other places can be.. Reccomend 😊

Food was stone cold. Tasted of nothing but salt and was meant to be extra spicy "volcano" burritos! Was half the size of a wrap from Boots and 3x the price. Will never order again.

You should teach your staff some manners and respect. Came into the store with my friend who is known by your staff particularly well, they are outright rude to her majority of the time she comes in and always have something to say. The store was empty we were the only two in the queue, we both placed our orders separately , checked our receipts and compared what we had ordered as we usually do. My order came out completely correct in a bag with napkins etc then my friends burrito was handed to her without a bag etc. not only this we walk out go sit down to eat and her order is completely wrong. While I would put it down to a mistake you also had no customers waiting for food aside from us. On top of this a girl on the till was heard by both of us talking about my friend. I suggest this doesn’t happen again otherwise I’ll have my own words with people about this in store and make it very known your staff are rude and pathetic. She ordered a volcano burrito and this is what she got.

Merely Only a few hard working delivery partners have delivered thousands and thousands of orders for this well known Taco Bell even before UK lockdown One since 2019 with no race issues, with no race hassles and with no race problems whatsoever but only until now this year, why?? Oh yeah, the new young recruits this year from the third world country as they are related to the management have destroyed us all!! Kind people will help other people on planet earth but nasty malicious people like them teaching hatred could destroy and create chaos wards on planet earth, SHAME ON THEM!!

Again we have witnessed the lady manager from a third world country racist bullied the Asian driver who has just complained they have been bullied and harassed by the new professional well trained staff again and again. She then told the Asian drivers not to come to collect the orders in the future but only allow the European delivery partners. This is so wrong, what's wrong with people nowadays!!

Never had Taco Bell before today. I am glad i discovered them as it is one of the best fast food i ever tried. Like, ooomf good. Like, i wanna live in one of the cheesy beef burritos as they are so warm and cosy soo good

Food was nice however feel it was a tad expensive for what you actually had to eat...

I made an order with just eat at 17:00, at 18:30 I called the restaurant to advise I had no updates and the driver had been at the restaurant for 45mins. The woman I spoke to was extremely rude and simply said “ yeah the drivers not here so we’re throwing it in the bin “ no sorry or anything. She then said “ we were actually going to give it to someone else haha “ I understand drivers not arriving is not there fault but have some respect for the customer and don’t tell them your throwing £15 worth of food in the bin.

The food and service are great and the food comes very quickly (app. 2 mins from order for 1 person) there was however trash left over at the table i chose to eat at from previous customers that wasn't cleaned for a while

They employ lots of young staff with no visible Leadership. Orders regularly incorrect, missing things, no care taken over food prep, staff clearly disinterested and unenthusiastic and it’s always busy and slow. It’s good value average quality food but service is poor

Food is over priced and doesn't taste good. You will be better off going to maccies than here.

I couldn't imagine that I'd like it so much. It seems like nothing special at first, but the taste reminded me of my mom's cooking and that was really unexpected. Thank you.

Amazing staff ( These people are the best ) been here alot of times and would definitely be a place to go to when I'm in high street and hungry.

Cannot praise Arron and his colleague enough, I came in pretty angry with a problem and they dealt with the problem efficiently, professionally and was incredibly polite when I was hot headed. Pesky drive issue and not the stores fault at all, great food as always thank you! Hope Natasha enjoyed my dinner

I love Taco Bell but this particular store has given me a very bad experience. I went in with my much younger sister and there was this very rude cashier girl called Chiamaka or something like that. Can’t remember much about her appearance other than she wasn’t wearing any makeup and was black. I was nice and said hi and smiled and started taking our order. This girl looks me up and down with judgment and ignores me mid sentence and starts talking to my little sister! We are both shocked and confused and she doesn’t say anything for a while. My sister orders fries for herself then asks me what I want and I say a chicken taco so she says that to the girl. I pay with my card and she has the audacity to hand the receipt to my sister and completely ignore me still. If this couldn’t get any worse she has got my chicken taco wrong (purposely or on accident who knows) and given a beef taco instead. This happened a few months ago but my phone was broken so I couldn’t post a review. My sister still talks about this incident because of how truly astonishing this girl’s attitude and rudeness was.

It is not suitable for pushchairs. No menu upstairs. Music too loud. Wouldn't return.

Food is okay , was unpleasant to see staff being rude to delivery drivers , they are just as important!!! Also wasn’t very nice to see food being picked up from the floor in the kitchen and placed back in a meal 🤦🏻‍♀️

Awful service. Chimi (I think her name was) served us, not only did she have 0 customer service by not speaking to us, she had a face like thunder but also proceeded to miss hear my order. When i returned to the counter when I noticed she had not put through 2 of one of the tacos I ordered she proceeded to say “you didn’t order 2” to which I replied “I did” to she “no I know how to do my job properly” and I replied “well I definitely ordered 2 as there’s 2 of us why would I only order 1” she proceeded being rude and told me that it was my fault. Awful customer service and disgusting attitude. Don’t work in customer service if you can’t serve with a smile. Awful staff

Terrible service. I was greeted by the cashier with a displeasing frown on her face, as if she was judging me. I believe her name was Chloe and her attitude was diabolical. When I asked the price of increasing to a large sized meal, she patronisingly stared at me as if I was of another planet. I then asked again as I wasn’t given an answer and she laughed in my face. I didn’t think much of it as I just wanted some lunch, but when my food arrived, I was greeted with a long, dirty, smelly hair in my burrito. I persevered with eating my lunch as I am not typically a fussy person but then I was even more mortified to find what seemed to appear as a nail clipping in the last few bites of my burrito. I hate to complain but the conditions in this restaurant were putrid, with both the service and food being unacceptable. I certainly will not be returning here.

The taco tasted like nothing, my mum makes better ones... and she's not a good cook, the chicken finger thingys were okay. The chips are good and the drink machine makes flat fizzy drinks... definitely won't be going back in any sort of rush... very poor Mexican inspired food. The service was good though but the atmosphere well there wasn't any at all

Waited outside Clacton branch for 15 minutes waiting to open from 11am as per door sign, to be only told at 11.15am not opening until Midday. People inside clearly looking at us throughout our wait - maybe a sign would be helpful if changing opening hours to those stated on door. We were in a queue of about 5 people also waiting

The website makes you download the app for offer but then offer disappears once registered!

I was really looking forward to having Taco Bell, I even thght about the menu b4 I got there. I ordered a chicken quesedilla meal. Firstly no ice, (no sign on the machine) the food was only lukewarm and the chips was sprinkled with something red? Not happy and will not be going back for awhile 😲😵😔

First time using it. Lady taking order great, person making up the order, not so great. Enjoyed what food I got. I just wish I had checked before going back to car. Half of it was missing.

I tried Taco Bell because I am a Sandra Bulluck fan. I did not know what to expect, but I got, was completely delicious. I can't recall what it was. Second time, and because I could not remember, the name that is, so I took something else. That was not so good. Who am I? Service is good, polite and helpful. No problems at all!

Absolutely horrendous. Had food made to eat-in...explain to me how I'm supposed to eat-in if you close off the seating area upstairs???? Food is now cold. Disgusting, totally unfair and pointless.

Food is always good here, not much seating available. You need to go upstairs to sit down. But it's adequate for a quick meal. Only real problem for me was the drink refill is down stairs so you have go up and down all the time.

Daughter loves the food in this place & treated her after watching a film. She ordered what she wanted & was served in no time. Food was hot & she enjoyed it. Server's behind the counter were busy but polite & also gave my daughter choices.

Bins overflowing, rubbish all over floor, unlabelled order with 2 lots missing fries and a missing taco, with no receipt from the self order machine you get a rude response to complaints and accusing looks, bad experience for first ever taco bell

I got a meal here recently and it's what you expect for fast food, fast and a decent meal. The waiting time was a bit long (8 minutes for food, chips and a drink) but considering there were people in front of me, it's hardly expected they can push out so many orders in 3 minutes or less. Dining area was clean, no spillages on tables or around the bins, if I had to nitpick the toilet could of been a bit cleaner, but no one eats in a toilet so I hardly call it a problem if a bit of toilet roll is on the bathroom floor. Food was hot, my till worker was polite and looked happy which is rare in fast food 😂 Solid place for a meal when out in town 👍

Amazing food, clean dining areas (although these are small) and the staff we encountered today were wonderfully friendly, helpful and polite.

I have had Taco Bell before on a number of occasions without any problems but tonight my wife ordered a delivery for us to have when I got back from work. And it was completely the wrong order, and also happened to be completely cold too. She found it impossible to get in touch with anyone from the restaurant to get another order sent out. The fact that the delivery driver was laughing and chatting to someone on his phone at the time he was delivering the food may or may not have been the reason why he delivered the wrong meal package to us. We are considering never ordering from here again, but, as this was the first bad experience we have had with Taco Bell and on all previous occasions the food was really good we just might decide to give them another chance at some point, but there again we might not.

Not enough seating upstairs. Store also wasn't taking card but didn't tell me until after they ran a transaction through on my card

Me and my friends saw Taco Bell in the uk are doing free tacos from 12-2. I now get there are 1:54 and they didn’t want to give me and my friends free tacos even though we got their on time. The lady said that their till is 10 minutes ahead of time but they didn’t want to include this in their advert for free tacos. Me and my friends are still in school and we finish at 1:45 so we literally ran all the way to taco bell and we were tired, hot and sweaty by the time we got there. Yet they still refused to give us the tacos, their customer service is very poor and I don’t advice going there.

Taco Bell Colchester is clean and I was served very quickly. Food was well made, looked good and tasted great. The fries are seasoned, not very spicy but yummy, they are a little bit oven chip in texture. Seating is minimal, two tables downstairs and maybe ten more upstairs. Food is a bit expensive for how much you get.
